Total: 29038.84018872   DASH    sell orders

Total: 778.80196429       BTC      buy orders=43163.21360957 DASH

BUY orders allways double on thıs coın but the prıze goes down how and why ?

Easy, margin trading + market manipulation.

All the big coins have margin trading + manipulation.  Not all of them have been crashing lately.

But Masternodes are supposed to soak up excess Dash supply.

How can the price be going down when the number of Masternodes is at an all time high?   Huh

Are more coins from the instamine being dumped?   Huh
1382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] IPO of MaidSafe:  Entering the Future of the Decentralized Internet on: September 07, 2016, 06:50:48 AM

MaidSafe rebuilding secure decentralised internet with BnkToTheFuture equity fundraising

Quote
MaidSafe's funding begins on 12th September and runs for 30 days. The target is £1.75m-£2m which will be received in sterling and bitcoin. Nick Lambert, chief operating officer, MaidSafe told IBTimes UK: "This is a raise for equity as opposed to a coin sale. It's most certainly not crowdfunding.

Ok, so how does this work ?
Do the investors get MAID for their investment ?? Or just shares ?

I'm a little confused here...

I thought we MAID hodlers are already the investors

Sorry, the original investors' equity is being massively diluted, just like BCTD bagholders are being screwed by Komodo.

Why would MAID and jlICOscam777 ever finish anything, when doing so would dry up their source of Lambo funding?
1383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BBR] Boolberry: Privacy and Security - Guaranteed[Bittrex/Poloniex]GPU Released on: September 07, 2016, 05:05:17 AM
I updated checkpoints

https://github.com/BlockchainDevelopmentCompany/boolberry/commit/7f11d7872549ae649675c892e234dd284beb56c4

This is the first commit under the Blockchain Development Company, and a benign change that will not fork the network, but actually help prevent it from forking as Boolberry is currently hardly decentralized.

For those interested in already compiled builds, how can I contact the existing owner of boolberry.com ? I would be open to setting up a build server for the url

More announcements and support coming soon. People want to know the roadmap, intentions. This is primarily around modernizing Boolberry's code base to the standards of other cryptonote networks, initially. We would like to get the blockchain out of memory and addressing bugs.

Great job bro!

I think the competition between BBR and AEON to be the silver to XMR's gold will be good for both coins.

Are you going to bring in the (default LMDB) modularity from Monero, to get the blockchain out of RAM?

And what about RingCT?  That's the keystone of the Cryptonote arch.   Cool
1384  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BitcoinDark (BTCD)--Financial_Privacy/SuperNET_Core/InstantDEX/PAX/Divs on: September 07, 2016, 04:59:39 AM
iCEBREAKER,

Pangea is on the back burner until iguana is done.
BBR - This shows how ignorant you are. James is not even the dev of that coin.
SuperNet is being actively worked on.

Just as a house needs solid foundations, so does a solid crypto tech. This takes time and dedication.

Pangea investors were not told in advance their project would be relegated to the back burner, just as BTCD buyers were not told their project would be abandoned for some shiny new ICO get-rich-quick thing.

SuperNet is being actively abandoned, not "worked on."

jlICOscam777'S projects have had plenty of time.  It's been over 2 years.  But there is a total lack of dedication.

The only dedication I see is dedication to never finishing anything and running off to make more ICO scam money.
1385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SCAM DASH instamine 2 millions coins (50% of DASH in circulation) on: September 07, 2016, 04:50:43 AM
I'm just curious what part of my post was 'misinforming'.

1386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: September 07, 2016, 01:49:28 AM
Masternode count holding at 4105+ Masternodes.   Can someone post a link on the step by step voting process for masternode holders.  That would be helpful. Thanks.

Easy
https://dashpay.atlassian.net/wiki/display/DOC/How+to+Vote

That guide should mention that Masternode voting is just Democracy Theater, because Evan the Instaminer and Otoh the BagWhale control too many Masternodes for anyone else's vote to matter.
1387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: September 07, 2016, 12:54:30 AM
[Apple] looked into dashcoin and decided to press eject on the instascamcoin. They have high standards and morals.

That is the simplest and thus plausible explanation.

The conspiracy theories to the contrary are amusing.

Only a Kool Aid swilling cargo cultist would actually think Apple is afraid of Dash, or someone would pay Jaxx to lie about its reason for removing it.

Ironically, Dash pumpers had to pay Jaxx to push their instamined scam, so it's no wonder they project that try-hard scumbaggery onto others.

Now let's start predictions for when ShadowCash will pass Dash's market cap.

At the current rate, SDC > Dash should happen by the end of the year.

But the wildcard is Komodo, which is being pushed by jl777.  Their ICO might accelerate the process of Masternode liquidation panic.

Call to all Masternode owners hosting at Amazon AWS, please check your firewall rules as your ports are closed !!

The ports are closed for a security reason. Looks like Amazon is blocking DASH too.

Amazon does not want the liability of hosting money-laundering HYIP Masternodes.

Apple has the best lawyers money can buy.  They know the SEC and FBI will be coming after Dash, and now Amazon is also reacting to that reality.
1388  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BitcoinDark (BTCD)--Teleport/Telepathy/Ramchains/SuperNET Core on: September 06, 2016, 11:31:30 PM
when is he going to finish somthing? finish somthing for once!!

If you had put the time and effort into investigating wht is going on behind the scenes you would not ask such a question imo.
I feel you are not in for the long run, just to make a quick buck on a trade.
I for one have huge respect for james and his work and seeing the enormous amount of work and effort he is putting into superNET/BTCD I just know it is worth the wait.

"Worth the wait?"

LOL, no it wasn't.  Not even jlICOscam777 was "in for the long run."   Tongue

You owe ULALA an apology.
1389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BitcoinDark (BTCD)--Teleport/Telepathy/Ramchains/SuperNET Core on: September 06, 2016, 11:20:46 PM
Hello, do you have mental issues, by any chance?

Anything to say about BTCD?  When is something going to be finished?

Pangea Poker is already late, but we don't know why.

BBR is a "core coin" in name only.  There is zero integration with the rest of SuperNet.

jl777 keeps launching new projects but never completes anything.

This feature bloat is getting old, and starting to look like a scamming technique to string us along.

Update:

Pangea - lol nope

BBR - abandonware

SuperNet - ditto

jl777 - launching a new project (Kodomo), never completed BTCD

everyone who called me troll for informing the community this outcome was 100% predictable and obvious to anyone with a brain - #R3KT

The most reprehensible part of it was ICOscam777 trying to silence my voice of well-founded (and ultimately correct) warning.

I view all of Icebreaker's posts against this as a nuisance and considering his lack of contributions toward BTCD his complaint has no weight. Further, even after repeated requests to stop posting the same thing over and over, he persists. In fact, it has come to light that he is doing this in other coin's threads also. It is almost as if there is some sort of organized campaign against coins that he views as competitive with his chosen coin.

There probably isnt any forum rule against some sort of organized campaign to squelch others, but in case there is, I would like to invoke it to make icebreaker stop.

James

"Make icebreaker stop" is the new "Leave Brittany Alone!"

1390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: September 06, 2016, 03:50:10 AM

These replay attacks on the Instamine Branch of Dash are happening because Evan was too careless to assign/enforce block versions.

The same thing happened with ETH and ETC.

Your Dash aren't "lost."  They are just invalid on the centralized DuffCoin branch, but perfectly fine on the non-instamined decentralized Dash Classic fork.
1391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: September 05, 2016, 04:37:57 AM
Bitcoin was supposed to be digital e-cash. Cash has to be fungible. Monero is the best fungible digital e-cash contender out there right now. The day people start to worry about whether the funds they are being paid in are tainted. They start to feel that sense of creeping dread that maybe that 20 grand they just accepted as payment for their car could be worthless. That is the day they switch to XMR in mass. Unless bitcoin manages to overcome the politics that are burdening it and find a solution to this problem. Which they might.
Won't confidential transaction solve the problem of fungibility of bitcoins?

No chance Bitcoin of getting CT in the short term.  But many users need fungibility Right Meow, so Monero fills the gap.

Medium term, perhaps CT will be successfully launched on a sidechain.  But you can still see which BTC are associated with that tainted sidechain, so back to square one.

Long term, good luck making a hard fork to add a feature rather than fix a dangerous bug.

#nosleepgang ...anyone else?

Not sleeping particularly well, which for me is very unusual.

Fitful slumber disturbed by anxious dreams of multi-BTC winnings and losings at the Margin Poker table.

Waking to to check the market, take a leak, and nap again.

Adding wealth to the portfolio at an unprecedented, nearly embarrassing rate, only to feel self-aware numbness and meh about booking yet MOAR HYOOG GAINS.

The ennui of watching previously unbelievable sums surge on and off the XMR books.

Perhaps it's just all the wine and declining melatonin.   Cheesy
1393  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is a stampede for DASH Masternode redemption about to begin? on: September 04, 2016, 04:24:32 AM
Is it almost time? Any trends developing? How does everyone feel about the situation?

Feeling good about long term prospects for your Masternodes or not?

DASH just got outclassed by Monero, first in terms of market cap (even though Dash's is faked with exaggeration) then in terms of price per coin.

DASH just got banned from the Apple store, probably for being an illegal unregistered security.

Relevant XPOST (that the DashHoles are loathe to discuss):

Dash is still trying to decide whether or not to perform the due diligence that should have been done before launching the project.

Proposal: Legal (September)

https://www.dash.org/forum/threads/proposal-legal-sept.10457/

1) Legal opinion on the treatment of masternode block rewards under the Internal Revenue Code
a. Whether they are treated similarly to mining rewards, interest, or other tax treatment
b. Tax treatment of the initial collateral “investment”

2) Liability of masternode owners for the transactions they facilitate
a. Whether masternode owners may be responsible for criminal activities connected with transactions they facilitate
b. If so, under what circumstances
c. Whether participation in “mixing” services might give rise to criminal liability
d. If so, under what circumstances

3) Liability of exchanges that support Dash transactions and guidelines on meeting existing compliance
a. Whether an exchange might be held liable for criminal activity associated with PrivateSend transactions

Jaxx should have known better, but they were bribed by Evan to add Dash.

It's been clear for years the Dash Masternode HYIP is an unregistered illegal investment security, and it's not surprising Apple is swinging the banhammer.

the SEC will be coming after you eventually for very clearly running an unregistered illegal investment security (and you come from the finance world so you know very well that you are skirting the securities law). Hope you've paid off the regulators with the $million you mined from the gullible speculators in crypto. Personally I don't see how it has been worth it. The $million you've perhaps pocketed will never sustain you to be rich for the rest of your life, and you will constantly have hanging over your head the threat of SEC action at any time in the future. That is criminal liability in exchange for $million. Not worth it. You are nearing the end of the road for your run.

I have studied the SEC regulations and all these marketing to speculators is clearly a violation of the Howey test for being an unregistered illegal investment security. It doesn't matter how you've obfuscated it by pretending the masternodes are in control, the Supreme Court has consistently said that the test overlooks any attempts to obfuscate the economic reality of the situation. Then on top of that is the evidence of deception with the premine and the advertised money supply protocol being altered ex post facto, etc.

And afaik you are a USA citizen, so thus you incur the maximum culpability.

1394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: September 04, 2016, 03:58:02 AM
I've had 2 people inquire how to get XMR (therefore BTC).  Not interested when I put BTC in front of them early 2013.  Not interested when I put XMR in front of them 2014.  I'm used to it. Same disinterest when I made the case for gold <$300.    Suddenly FOMO on BTC2 strikes, and its a good idea.  Takes some longer to grasp the potential than others.

Its all fun and games until someone makes a fortune  Wink

Humans are diverging into two groups, along the Morlok vs Eloi tropes symbolized in The Time Machine.

We are the Neophiles, which Robert Anton Wilson described having as the following basic characteristics:
Quote
The ability to adapt rapidly to extreme change.
A distaste or downright loathing of tradition, repetition, and routine.
A tendency to become bored quickly with old things.
A desire, bordering on obsession in some cases, to experience novelty.
A corresponding and related desire to create novelty by creating or achieving something and/or by stirring social or other forms of unrest.
A complete objection to or distrust of commitment.

A neophile is distinct from a revolutionary in that anyone might become a revolutionary if pushed far enough by the reigning authorities or social norms, whereas neophiles are revolutionaries by nature. Their intellectual abhorrence of tradition and repetition usually bemoans a deeper emotional need for constant novelty and change. The meaning of neophile approaches and is not mutually exclusive to the term visionary, but differs in that a neophile actively seeks first-hand experience of novelty rather than merely pontificating about it.

The opposite of a neophile is a neophobe; a person with an aversion to novelty and change. Wilson observes that neophobes tend to regard neophiles, especially extreme ones, with fear and contempt, and to brand them with titles such as "witch," "satanist," "heretic," etc. He also speculates in his Prometheus Rising series of books that the industrial revolution and related enlightenment represents one of the first periods of history in which neophiles were a dominant force in society.

Neophiles accelerate change because they like it that way.

The word "neophilia" has particular significance in Internet and hacker culture. The New Hacker's Dictionary gave the following definition to neophilia -

The trait of being excited and pleased by novelty. Common among most hackers, SF fans, and members of several other connected leading-edge subcultures, including the pro-technology 'Whole Earth' wing of the ecology movement, space activists, many members of Mensa, and the Discordian/neo-pagan underground (see geek). All these groups overlap heavily and (where evidence is available) seem to share characteristic hacker tropisms for science fiction, music.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neophile

They are the Neophobes.  They hate new things.  Thinking objectively about abstract ideas makes their brains sore with cognitive dissonance.

We Morlocks carry the burden of intellect, production, and advancing civilization beyond the stars.

The Eloi live in blissful ignorance, but they are our natural prey, and so they perceive us as terrible monsters.

The crackdown has begun.  Not looking good for Dash Masternode operators either.  The Apple banhammer is just the start of their problems with LEA.

"Mix at the protocol level or not at all" seems to be the most probable outcome of this trend.

Dash got banned from the Apple store?

Yes, and it's relevant to Monero because we're not sure if Dash was banned for

1. privacy theater (but this standard would have also effected BTC, which is easily tumbled through CoinShuffle, etc)
or
2. being a sleazy OneCoin-type HYIP scam, replete with Instamine, emission cut, autocratic centralized governance, and thus failing the Howey Test for illegal unregistered securities.

1399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Honestly, which is better? Monero or Dash? on: September 02, 2016, 04:28:29 PM
Ring signatures are better than master nodes. It is better to look under the hood and try to understand how it works. I am not a technical person but a quick google search and 2 to 3 hours of reading all the articles and comments from each side it would be easy to see which is better. The answer is right there in front of you. I also did not know that research and implementations of ring signatures started on 2001. It was wise for the Monero development team to use it in their cryptocoin to find answers in unanswered questions since 2001.

How I personally view it, is that buying Dash is sort of like buying a timeshare for some condo some where.  It is viewed as an "investment" that you might only use a couple of times, and whenever you are done buying whatever you need with Dash (I guess a soda?) then you sell your masternode/timeshare to the next person who is hoping the same thing happens.

Now I know you could argue that every crypto is the same way (buying and hoping to sell at higher prices), but it's the distinction of owning a "masternode" that controls inputs and outputs is what really turns me off from the whole Dash thing. Having one node that is better than the other one is just really... sleazy? (for lack of a better word)

An emerging problem with Masternodes is they are subject to law enforcement actions due to their for-profit money laundering scheme.

The Apple banhammer is just an indication of the start of Dash's problems with LEA.  The crackdown has begun.
