That's why I was asking how we can speed up multisig development, with the goal of achieving implementation activation parallel with or soon after RingCT.

I will ask a math PhD buddy if he can do the peer review himself, or help find a qualified specialist, then put up a FFS request based on his feedback.

It's quite clear that RingCT *must* be stable before multi-sig can be added on top. Not much you can parallelize in this development effort.

Sorry I was not clear and wrote "implementation" when "activation" would have been a better word choice.

I understand ring-multisignature implementation is 100% contingent upon RingCT stabilization.

My intended parallel development effort is to have more mathematicians go over Shen's RM paper with a fine-toothed comb.

The more eyes on it (https://shnoe.files.wordpress.com/2016/03/mrl-0008_april28.pdf) we have now, the smoother implementation will go when RingCT is ready.

One nice thing about focusing peer review on https://shnoe.wordpress.com/2016/03/22/ring-multisignature/ is that the reviewers don't necessarily need to be familiar with the rest of Bitcoin type RPOW schemata.

This is a great opportunity to bring a few crypto-curious set theoreticians and topologists into the Monero Mustang community!   Cool
1222  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Drug free in the Philippines on: November 03, 2016, 10:24:59 PM

Sending out death squads confirms that the Philippines is a third world shithole.

Absolutely.
The only true way to hurt drug cartels is to declare drugs legal.
That way you remove their profit motive and those criminals lose interest and look for something else they can exploit.

That's also the only way how to help the actual victims of all this who are the addicts.

Fuck, I wouldn't want to be an addict in the phillipines right now,
they are double and triple fucked.

-sf-

Duterte won't declare drugs legal.

His machismo won't allow him to admit being wrong.  He's economically illiterate and doesn't understand why Prohibition is counterproductive.

Besides, Prohibition serves Duterte's demagogic political purposes.  His supporters love his simplistic, violent solutions to complex problems.

The populist moral preening allows him to demonize drug users and lets him play Good Guy Superman Savior to the Bad Guy Supervillian "drug addict" Satan spawn.

Never mind that most Pinoys involved in drugs happen to be the least powerful, most wretched and defenseless citizens of .ph.

I can't wait until the Holy Father steps in and judges Duterte for how he's treating the poorest and most hopeless of his country.

Pope Francis is going to walk right up to Duterte, cut his balls off, and then drag his corpse behind the Popemobile from Manila to Laoag.

1224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: November 03, 2016, 09:59:46 PM

The curious thought is what will be the catalyst for acceptance on other major exchanges from now until then.

Profit motive will be the catalyst for acceptance on other major exchanges.

Other exchanges are letting Polo have a monopoly on all the sweet sweet trading fees it's getting from facilitating ~100% of XMR's multimillion dollar volume.

But it's difficult to compete with Polo's liquidity, lending, and margin trading.  Those are killer features.

EDIT:  I've heard from an impeccable source that Monero's lack of multisig is *THE* constraint on large exchange listings, as their security models (and perhaps contingent insurance policies?) require that functionality.

That's why I was asking how we can speed up multisig development, with the goal of achieving implementation parallel with or soon after RingCT.

I will ask a math PhD buddy if he can do the peer review himself, or help find a qualified specialist, then put up a FFS request based on his feedback.

Monero overtaking Dash again.   Cool

Dash rekt like Hillary's campaign!    Cheesy

Of course XMR is always crushing that scamcoin in terms of volume, despite it being traded on more exchanges.

I speculate the price of Monero will go to the moon when we get traction on major exchanges besides Poloniex.

Given we went to $12/XMR just with the capitalistic power of Poloniex, I'd expect $120-$240 when Monero trades on Coinbase, BitMEX, Kraken, Bitfinex, Gemini, BTC-E, etc.
1226  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Drug free in the Philippines on: November 01, 2016, 08:54:02 AM
Haha it is not about the death penalty. It is all about the principles inside of that law. Look at singapore there is a death penalty over there. And look at them now. They are now 1st world country you will never know the epic if you do not make an effort of it. At last one man in the philippines freed us from imperialistic mechanism.

Singapore is a high IQ learn-work-save culture.  Philippines is a low IQ gossip-party-fuck culture.

In Singapore you get a trial before being executed; in .ph not so much.

Abandoning the rule of law for the sake of Prohibition and embracing a demagogue will not magically turn a country into Singapore.

Doing so achieves the opposite effect.

Sending out death squads confirms that the Philippines is a third world shithole.

Why would anyone want to visit or do business in a place where an accusation can get you murdered, with no trial?

And when did Duterte free anyone from anything?  Has he liberated Scarborough Shoal with his Jet Ski of Justice?   Grin Grin Grin

Oh wait, the Jet Ski was invented by an American and built by Kawasaki.  That little dog is biting the hands that feed him.
1227  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Drug free in the Philippines on: October 29, 2016, 05:47:33 AM
Can the president of the Philippines can do it. Well I like what his doing in his campaign. It is very amazing program and very work program in the country. Many were discipline now because of him.
Nope Drug's in philippines will be less but it can't be remove if in country don't have crimes or any commited in illegal activities then that country is awesome and full of miracle He can't remove the drugs in the philippines it's really impossible but he can do something to make it less crimes.

We are now on economics. Duterte is looking for business now. After a year it will great that the philippines will be the safest country in the whole world. Mind me from being murder of capital asia to safest country of the world. Filipino are so serious to success their country for the better.

Abandoning the rule of law for the sake of Prohibition and embracing a demagogue will not turn a country into Singapore.

Doing so achieves the opposite effect.

Sending out death squads confirms that the Philippines is a third world shithole.

Why would anyone want to visit or do business in a place where an accusation can get you murdered, with no trial?

It would be worse than visiting Salem during the witch hunts.  At least the accused witches got a trial.   Tongue
1228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 27, 2016, 05:43:26 PM

I usually never spotted any kind of critics on the zcash forum. Look over at twitter/reddit/trollbox/tradingview chat etc. nobody likes the idea that 6 guys did the trusted setup together days ago already.
In this setup one has to trust, that they won`t print money. No thanks.

They should have had Craig Wright and Gavin Andresen participate so we know it is really trustworthy!

Now that's just mean, we've all been bamboozled by a fake Satoshi or two.  ROTFLMFAO.

Newsflash: Trusted 3rd parties are security holes.

Yes, even if that trusted 3rd party is named "Peter Todd."
1229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: October 26, 2016, 01:58:40 PM
At what point in the RingCT rollout would an FFS proposal for more manpower speed up multisig implementation?

Well someone else was wondering the same thing and made a detailed post in the Monero forum about this just yesterday.  There is a reply by fluffypony.

https://forum.getmonero.org/6/ideas/86987/multisig

Heh, great minds think alike!   Cool

But lack of multisig is a serious barrier to Monero adoption, and I'm not talking about DNMs (where most tx are reportedly 'finalized early').

I get fluffy's point that the bleeding edge cryptography involved needs to be bulletproofed (or at minimum peer reviewed) before being implemented and put into production.

But since XMR's multisig piggybacks on RingCT, and RingCT is being already being tested, why not make sure the version of RingCT being tested is in fact capable of supporting multisig?

Of course we can't simply throw money at the problem to get it done faster, but is there anything additional resource allocation could do to expedite the process?

Or do we have to wait until RingCT is solid, then build multisig on that foundation?

The proposal reeks of butthurt, with its paranoid whining about "paid activists of a rival projects [sic]."

That quote is nowhere in my proposal. I have no idea where you got that from.

Full context of the quote in question, which is most assuredly from your butthurt drenched proposal:

Quote
If you take a look at the comments posted in response to Brian Armstrong, the Coinbase CEO’s recent reddit post, that suggests Coinbase is moving towards integrating other cryptocurrencies, Dash was totally absent there and it's not for the lack of a big community. It's because paid activists of a rival projects swoop in and stole the spotlight.

Apology accepted.   Wink
1232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: October 24, 2016, 04:53:59 PM

Why is this necessary?  Tao assured us he would be taking control of the narrative.  What happened to that promise?

The proposal reeks of butthurt, with its paranoid whining about "paid activists of a rival projects [sic]."

Isn't it hypocritical to complain about that conspiracy theory, then turn around and try to create a paid Dash cheerleader squad?

Technical question:

How does RingCT enable multisig?

It looks like magic to me... https://shnoe.files.wordpress.com/2016/03/mrl-0008_april28.pdf

Is multisig also live on testnet?

Pardon me if this has already been answered on SE.

Multisig is not implemented yet. Don't expect it to be released in less than a year. At least with the manpower currently available. Let us just hope this changes for the better.

Thanks for the link to the cryptomagic.

At what point in the RingCT rollout would an FFS proposal for more manpower speed up multisig implementation?

We heard you the first 5 times you said this.  At this point it's obviously spam and SEO rank gaming.

This kind of thing is exactly why the Bitco.in mod told you to stop posting paid spamvertisments on that forum.

Is your goal to make Dash look like a try-hard spam-driven Nigerian scam?  Because that's what your spam is doing.

How do you manage to get a typo in an obviously copy-pasted group of spam/SEO rank gaming links?  I don't believe you type them out every single time.  Do you really expect us to believe you type out those spamvertising/PageRankBait links every time you post them?

The least you could do is wait 24 hours between reposting your instamined scamvertisement links.  Or is that expecting too much?   Cheesy

Please stop spamming forum posts with these repetitive links.

They belong in your signature, where people have the option of not having to see them.

I understand you want to try to fix Dash's Google problem, but it's obnoxious to make everyone scroll past endless spam just for the sake of your SEO.

Thanks in advance!   Smiley
What's Bitco.in? I've never been to that site, let alone encounter a mod there...

You know, I knew that you and I were going to make a great team! Now I don't have to post my informative links anymore, if you're doing it for me. I realize it's the least you can do after dominating the narrative about Dash through spin and innuendo for the last two years...

Hi Tao.

Just thought I'd help you out by bumping your SEO LinkFarming PageRankBait.

I'm concerned your "Dash Nation" thread is suffering the fate you warned against:

I'm starting to resemble a crazy old man on the Dash Nation thread talking to myself.  Cheesy That's OK, I'll keep it going until one of you fine Dash Nation members have something to say to me or to the good readers of the Altcoin discussion board. If we let that thread die, the detractors get to spread a false narrative about Dash unchecked.

This thread, as you feared, is dying.  It needs more paid DashForce cheerleaders to spread the One True Narrative of Duffontology.   Smiley

Show me two repetitive posts I made.

LOL, I just quoted you making dozens of repetitive posts.

Quick, better get it deleted again by whining to the mods about me asking you to stop spamming!

Oh, wait....That won't work.

You know bro it is hard from the start messy in the middle and I guess it will be successful at the end. Duterte is a brilliant man. He creates vision for good and creates vision for bad to destroy the evil mindset of the person.

Look at this mess.  These evil children are scum and must be purged.  Come on Duterte, fuck them all to death.  That is a brilliant vision for good!
1237  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Drug free in the Philippines on: October 24, 2016, 07:18:07 AM
I am a very bad attitude towards drug addicts. Though I understand that it is an illness, they are captive of this disease.

It sure is easier to have a bad attitude towards "drug addicts" than "homeless child victims of Prohibition" isn't it?

Here are the "captives" Duterte is purging, to great applause from the preening virtue-signaling crowd.

He sure is a macho badass tough guy for murdering 100s of utterly defenseless and wretched street kids, isn't he?

Look at these little scumbags.  A trial would be a waste of money.  Death is too good for them amirite?

What a fucking loser.  Don't bother with rehab.  The sooner this piece of shit is murdered on Duterte's orders the better.

1238  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Duterte net satisfaction rate in Philippines is very good... on: October 24, 2016, 06:35:53 AM
The Phillipines: Once was Americas bitch, now it's China's bitch. Be careful what you wish for because the former definitely treated you better than than the latter ever will. It's like watching a child throwing their toys out of the pram.
Just another high ranked member of this forum who obviously have no idea of what he is saying. Americans are only treating us good because of the resources that they get from our country. But they never promised that they will protect us when there's a war. Duterte chose China and Russia to avoid war and to improve our economy, not to become it's bitch. Just take a look at America's economy and you'll be shocked by the amount of debt that they have. SMH.

Oh sure, the grass is always greener on the other side.   Roll Eyes

Please, tell us more about the "resources" the USA gets from .ph.

Yes we get nurses and maids, but they are paid and remit that money back home.  Do you think Red China will pay you as well, or let you freely remit your yuan?

So that leaves us with what, pili nuts?   Cheesy  Granted, pili nuts are very delicious but that's not why General MacArther returned and set you free from your Japanese conquerors.

The USA could have just kept the Philippines as its territory and renamed it New Hawaii.  The blood and treasure we spent would justify that.

But we gave .ph sovereignty.  Twice.

And we have a mutual defense pact that is the legacy of SEATO.

In other words, yes we did promise to protect you.

That's why the sailors on the USS Decatur are risking their lives provoking Red China by poking the Dragon right in the eye.

Please, be more pouty, entitled, and ungrateful and bite the hand that feed you even harder.  We'll make an American of you yet!   Grin Grin Grin
1239  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Duterte net satisfaction rate in Philippines is very good... on: October 24, 2016, 06:23:05 AM
You cant accept the truth that US is the one who creates war all over the world. They are not national police in the world but they creates terrorism that benefits by their own wealth. They are money grabber of someones natural resources. So it is better to take off this US to the Philippines to no more harm.

Ron Paul guy here.  I accept the truth that the US creates war all over the world.   Embarrassed

I hate our aggressive foreign policy.  We had/have no business in Yugoslavia, Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia, Yemen, Libya, Syria, etc.

But we are not the only "one" creating war.

We didn't force Russia to invade Georgia and Crimea, nor did we force Red China to invade Tibet and India.

And China is the relevant entity here, because they are annexing territory from .ph and all Duterte does about it is kiss their ass more.

The US did not grab any natural resources from .ph.  It is Red China that is grabbing "fishing grounds" that happen to have billions in oil underneath the water.

But by all means, have it your way.  Just don't say you weren't warned when Red China renames .ph "New Hainan."   Cheesy
1240  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Duterte net satisfaction rate in Philippines is very good... on: October 23, 2016, 05:54:37 AM
US can't start a war over scarborough but they can start with jsut a hunch whether saddam has weapon - great analysis over there.
but yeah watever floats your bowl. you can kiss ass to those who won over the vietkong war so yes bow down vietsuckers!

Stop changing topics for the sake of getting in your bitchy little digs.  Iraq is not Red China.  Only one has nukes and a huge army.  Duh.

We needed a UN ruling *before* we can "start a war over scarborough."  Duh!

Vietnamese people are awesome.  They've overcome their communist past (unlike .ph who just elected a panda cuddling PLA ass kisser).

They work hard and save for the future (again, unlike lazy ass Flips who would rather party and gossip on social media all day).

Plus Vietnamese have shown they are great patriotic fighters who will destroy invaders whether from the US or Red China.

And best of all, they love gold and silver (soon, Bitcoin and Monero too).

They are too smart to trust central bankers (unlike Flips who love free shit courtesy of wealthy Uncle Sam's money printing).

Average Vietnamese IQ is over 100.  Average Flip IQ is under 100.

I'd rather be allies with both, but if the stupid country insists on being the next Tibet...Well, Bye!

Enjoy your cultural holocaust.  I know I will!   Grin Grin Grin
