1381  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Signs that indicate you are not addicted to gambling on: July 13, 2023, 10:33:56 PM
While i agree with every other point you made this i disagree with:

  • Non-Escape Mechanism
You are facing your problems and challenges head-on without turning to gambling forget about them. When you experience stress, or any negative emotions, gambling is not used as a mechanism for coping.
And i tell you why. Because without getting too deep with concept of reality, people are escaping reality all the time. Art museums can be seen as form of escapism as well as netflix, partying, listening or composing music, jamming, day dreaming and painting. If you try to write a book you need to escape a reality to dream yourself in another one.

What i am saying that this isn't necessarily a symptom. There's only so much you can do dwelling in problems if you can't solve them. Sometimes we just need a vacation from our lives to relax. Gambling can be one of such escaping fun activities. It doesn't automatically check out as a problem.
1382  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cz or the Sec who would you support? on: July 13, 2023, 09:09:34 PM
Do you think Binance doesn't want to control everybody? why did they force their customers to complete KYC verification when they were not?

Even though centralized exchange make people easier to buy Bitcoin and convert to fiat, but if people only know to buy Bitcoin must use a centralized exchange, doesn't know about private key or seed phrase as they only know email and password etc, it will confuse many newbies since they think there's no such be your own bank in Bitcoin.
It doesn't really matter what Binance wants, they are required KYC their customers by law as regulations have gotten tighter on cryptos.

Other thing is that if SEC win I am worrying that the rule with more more countries because a lot of US rule also that been widely using by other country, and if this happen Crypto that supposed to decentralized will become centralized
We should worry about our own equivalence to SEC. EU has ESMA and just released new crypto-assets regulation, China has CSRC and so on...

The important thing here is to realize that bitcoin is not crypto and bitcoin is not  a security. that's all there is to know.
BTC is not crypto?
Is it a non-crypto coin?  Huh
As far as I know, BTC is a part of crypto coins.
I am pretty sure darkangel11 means that Bitcoin doesn't represent whole crypto. It represents only itself.
1383  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are successful gamblers seen as addicts? on: July 13, 2023, 08:37:28 PM
I wish I could have posted this in a more better place but since the thoughts came from gambling addiction, I thought it wise to ask this question over here and I hope we can discuss and get this straight.

Just as the tittle already ask, I really want to know if people who are successful in gambling also seen as addicts because I believe  for one to be successful in gambling or whatever they choose to do, there must be some good amount  of time and effort invested in it as well as money and we know that a successful  gambler must have invested  both time, effort and even money to make any reasonable  winning  and these also are features of an addict as there are always excessive time spent on a betting site.

Now let's be sincere, will you also classify a successful gambler as an addict?
Of course they can, success has nothing to do with addiction.
Just like people are addicted to internet, television, jogging or bowling. Those people can have successful lives while being addicted to something. Lots of successful people suffer from all sorts of addictions.

It's just compulsive behavior and you often end up using more time to your addiction than you planned. Time that you really want to use to something else. It's lack of control and often you need more and more of the rush or what ever you are addicted to. Some of the people have more control over their urges then others, but even for successful people addiction can be hard, you just don't see it as well because consequences are not financially ruining them.
1384  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is NFT's hype over? on: July 12, 2023, 08:58:48 PM
I have different vision. I think that NFT hype is over. Like every hype in crypto industry - it lasts for a year, maybe a bit longer maximum. Why do you think that hype isnt over? I see no loud articles in media about NFT, I see no scandals or scams connected with NFTs. People tried to restart NFT hype, when we had news that NFT now are on Bitcoin blockchain. This fact indeed worried a lot of people, as it made blockchain transactions cost more, but right now, one or two month has already passed and only few people remember about it.

The problem of NFTs was that it is easy to buy it, but it is hard to find a buyer. Now people have bought NFTs, and dont know how to sell it. They froze their money and have to wait and observe how values of their NFT go down (and yes, NFT prices went down heavily) or how inflation slowly kills their investment.
But do you see the hype coming back with the bullmarket? BAYC floor price is resting in a good support imho if someone believes that you can do TA on that.

Lack of liquidity is problematic for someone like me who likes to exit fast if necessary. But it isn't issue for actual collectors. When collectors IRL store actual physical stuff, they are not planning to flip it instantly, they wait for the right moment and right buyer. And they even have to store their goods physically, sometimes for years until right buyer comes along. So i see something like reddit NTF collectables as an actual investment.

I don't own any nfts at the moment but i've been looking for some good ones to get into. Prices start to get where i want them to.
1385  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - Drake, UFC, Everton, Alfa Romeo F1 Team on: July 12, 2023, 08:31:02 PM
-snip-
That's why, I most the time on casinos with higher limit withdraw without KYC.

I already withdraw a few some casino like "Duelbits" and have experienced withdrawing 3,500$ they're not requested me KYC. Stake my high withdraw 8000-9000$, and being processed without KYC.

I'm not saying they're free KYC, but they are could be have higher limit withdraw without KYC and depends your activity/factor (Waggering, Deposit, type game you're playing). I also thinking, they have group/support/CM on Local, why stake not using verification like these by their local-team to verified document Level 3/4.

I got asked to do KYC at Duelbits for a withdrawal of 50$ after some issues I had when participating in promotions and this happened quite a few times on other casinos also when I tried to withdraw relative small amounts. Nothing wrong with it, as according to the terms they can always ask KYC and this is really the trend nowadays.
Sure, they can ask it but for $50 it sounds unusual. Did you try to withdraw it to your bank or something?

You also mentioned promotions, may i ask if this is how you got the money? Not that it should should matter but i am trying to follow their logic of what triggered it, and why would they single you out for 50 bucks. I don't recall having to do kyc in Duelbits and i think i have withdrawn more than 50.
1386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BEP20 OR ERC20? Preferred token on: July 12, 2023, 08:19:28 PM
IMO, ERC20 has more quality coins, community and users than BEP20. However, due to its very high fee, BEP20 has other advantages that make it almost the same or the same as the current ERC20. If the ERC20 fees were lower, I'm pretty sure people would choose to go with ERC20 and BEP20 wouldn't have the chance it has now to be in the same position, it's just, that's not the reality.
In addition, to determine whether it is good or not, we need to refer to the tokens that we use or invest. currently quite a lot of tokens use these 2 chains as their basis.
Because all the whales are on eth and no one wants to see anything build on BSC. People see that ETH is going to be the future so they put their projects where the users are going to be. We are just waiting it for to scale so we can benefit more of that. And after that, there's no use for BSC and even rug pulls move back to eth.

Basically only tokens in BSC worth using are usdt and busd. Placeholder or wrapped tokens that are bridged to BNB (And perhaps the native coin BNB if you are into that sort of thing)
1387  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Twitter Stock Experience the same Rise? on: July 12, 2023, 08:10:39 PM
-cut-
We already know that there is some bad blood between Meta and Twitter. Or Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Given this, I would like for us to discuss this, if Elon Musk decides to launch a clone of Twitter app, do you think it would achieve the same level of success in terms of user base and Stocks considering Elon's controversial history with Twitter?

Why would Elon launch a clone of the twitter app he already owns? Getting the old one working without problems should be priority.

But let's play with the idea: No, it would not. People have been leaving the twitter platform even before the alternative was launched. I have been invested my time into it in the past but now i am just looking for the password for several accounts that i want to shut down. I am getting more and more spam that it's getting worse than telegram private messages. And the amount of trolling... I totally understand why taliban is endorsing it.

Twtr stock has been delisted so i don't see how comparing the stock value would be relevant.
1388  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will debanking Nigel Farage affect Bitcoin? on: July 12, 2023, 02:52:56 PM
People talking about communism and totalitarianism in here while the fact is that this specific private bank that Nigel was using can choose their customers
And Nigel didn't have enough funds in his account to fit as their customer. Of course Nigel is crying to his fan base as that sells. And he obviously lied about this too as he often does.

https://news.sky.com/story/nigel-farages-bank-accounts-whats-it-all-about-and-whats-the-coutts-threshold-12915155

I know it fits a narrative for some people in here to blame goverment and banks but this has nothing to do with government and what happened is an opposite of communism.
1389  Economy / Economics / Re: Invest in Marketing on: July 11, 2023, 10:33:25 PM
-cut-
A product is only as good as advertised.
It really depends what you are building. Minecraft invested zero in marketing, but the marketing was the innovative game itself. If you are building something that doesn't have competition, people who need it will find it. And competition always comes behind. Sometimes it's not worth building competition as they don't see the huge potential. No one saw what Mojang was building before it was too late to compete with it. It had the network effect and fans. And perfect understanding of pr as they listened to players all the time directly.

But if you have build something that people don't really need but it might be slightly better or different version of something there are already 10 versions of, then marketing is really the only way to get it front of people. Wether you have a company that offers services or a physical product, it doesn't matter if you need money to keep it alive, you need customers. And sometimes your product isn't just good or innovative enough that any marketing could save.
1390  Economy / Economics / Re: Getting an MBA before starting a company or directly starting a company? on: July 11, 2023, 10:20:07 PM
Getting an MBA is beneficial because it sets you apart from the rest of the pack. One of the advantages of an MBA is that it forces you to read and learn, which helps you expand your knowledge about any business you want to venture into. I strongly believe that one of the reasons why start-ups fail is because they lack a solid foundation in understanding frameworks and conducting their own research, instead of relying solely on purchased data. While it is true that not everyone may be able to afford an MBA program, the truth is that there is so much to learn from it. If you had the opportunity to pursue an MBA before starting a company or directly starting a company, which option would you choose?

I don't disagree with you and education is always beneficial. It's solid ground to build on but imho that's necessary needed for a company. But you are not doing everything by yourself, so you decide what's worth your time to learn, because you are not learning everything by yourself.

Let's say you are an engineer and invented something worth value, but you need to build business for it. At that moment you might not have time to spend 3 years of your life for MBA. As you have used your time to invent something extraoridinary. Good thing is that you don't need to do everything by yourself. You can hire a professional with necessary know how, like with accounting, branding, or find a business partners with skillsets you need.

Imho you need to focus on the thing that makes you valuable for the company you are building. Don't try to do everything by yourself as you most likely will end up making amateur mistakes that end up costing a lot.
1391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Cardano still a good investment? on: July 11, 2023, 09:44:43 PM
Well many Cardano millionaires still think yes ADA is a good investment. In the last 30 days ADA millionaires have grown their holdings by 3.19% in balances.
This is for investors with 100 Million to 1 Billion ADA tokens. Investors with 10,000 to 100,000 ADA have added 50 Million tokens to their wallets.
https://u.today/cardano-millionaire-whales-on-steady-buying-spree-as-ada-price-teases-next-move
OG holders often get stuck with the goldmine (what ever crypto they might be holding) that got their rich in the first place, so they keep investing it again when it's low because they know about it. They follow the news closely and look the charts closely. That's why big whales keep increasing their stacks. They could buy something else but why change the horse in the middle of the race. Going big on new cryptos is just an inconvenient hassle. I have been doing this in the past with some coins that didn't have such high marketcaps. But when you know a coin and it has already given you so much, it's hard to move on something else.
1392  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: risk nothing, you're risking more on: July 11, 2023, 09:31:23 PM
since 2018 which is over 5 years when I got information about Bitcoin I have lost lots of opportunity that could have changed my life because I choose to be reluctant from concrete friends advise concerning Bitcoin because, through investment of cyptocurrency many of my pals have been scammed  and the downtrend movement in 2018 also got me discouraged so i concluded that Bitcoin was not worth the risk for me, and
now I have come to regret from the discission i made due to ignorance because over the years it progress has really attracted my attention, so i met a friend who is now i successful investor and he introduced me to this platform

seeing the success, growth and progress of the platform, I want to personally appreciate the members from legendary to newbies like me for keeping this platform running and going

Thank you very much for your supports and consistency
Well it's understandable if you heard it in 2018, it must have seemed like it died with all the scam icos out there. So i totally get why you didn't join. Many of my friends left this scene and didn't even look back. Lately people have been feeling exactly that same feeling. And some of those people have been saying to me that they would have bought bitcoin if they knew about it in 2015. They wouldn't have bought it for the same reason they are not buying it now. Because of fear. Imho you came in at the right time. So tune out all the noise and focus on collecting all the sats.
1393  Economy / Gambling / Re: Top 5 Advantages of Bitcoin Casinos vs. Traditional Casinos on: July 11, 2023, 09:04:44 PM

2. Safety and security

3. Game variety

4. Confidentiality. When you don't need to involve a bank account with your casino account, but you use only cryptocurrencies to deposit and withdraw you don't need to pay banks for transactions and that kind of transaction history doesn't get recorded to your bank statement so it's more confidential to use cryptocurrencies.

People used to use cash to leave embarassing transactions (Or just transactions they want to keep secret) from bank statements, but you can't pay to online casino with cash, so people use cryptocurrencies.
1394  Economy / Economics / Re: Eu Cina vs USA russia oil vs Green energy on: July 11, 2023, 05:20:06 PM

Green energy is mostly solar power.

Solar panels are made from processed silicon. Which is essentially sand heated into glass. The barrier to entry for solar power may not be high. The issue behind most major nations of the world not becoming more involved in solar power likely has to do with lack of funding, skilled labor and expertise. Much of the existing technology behind patented solar based intellectual property has its origins in the united states. With production being moved to china in an effort to leverage lower labor costs.

In terms of efficiency, I think the advantage is with green energy given its potential for growth and scaling. Electric motors can reach 80%+ efficiency. While internal combustion engines are usually rated around 15% efficiency. The difference comes from fossil fuels having on average greater energy density as a fuel source.

It could be guaranteed that oil and fossil fuels would not last forever. At some point, we could be forced to abandon them or find alternatives when supply runs out. Perhaps its better to begin the transition now, rather than wait until its too late.
I am not sure what sources you use but every official link i can google says that main source for green energy is hydropower. While Solar could offer a lot it isn't used for the reasons you provided. Panels need cleaning and they break easily. Even wind farms are providing way more energy than solar, and those wind power stations are increasing rapidly.
1395  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - Drake, UFC, Everton, Alfa Romeo F1 Team on: July 11, 2023, 05:06:58 PM
I haven't encountered them either, maybe it's because i don't play that often. Currently once a week with biggest bets i can afford. But then again it would be weird if everyone would saw them, casinos would end up getting broke for giving huge jackpots to every other player. Waiting for jackpots is like a form of white whale to me. I am sort of obsessed even though i understand i might never get the biggest one. I would need to be a very lucky man. But that's why i am playing, i feel lucky.
You may get lucky one day. You have to keep playing responsibly so that your losses won't be big and you can still enjoy gambling. Perhaps, it will still take some time because no one knows when we can get that luck. We can only keep playing while continuing to hope, and as long as we are always in good self-control, there is nothing to worry about because we will not exceed the boundaries we have set. But don't get obsessed with winning because it's not easy. We must be careful in spending money to gamble to avoid big losses.
I know, that's one of the reasons i keep playing. That and the fact i have won decent amounts in the past by playing with smaller bets. And i totally have my budget in control these days. And even when i don't have problem with that i do need to manage my gambling time better. That's my next goal for more balanced life and pursue new things with the new time i have made for myself. Also my ADHD medication helps on all that and makes me less impulsive.
1396  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sherbet.com - $500 Welcome Package - #1 Social Casino - $15,000 Weekly Race 🤑 on: July 10, 2023, 09:41:21 PM
I also tried the site and unfortunately it's still down, and I don't know why the site is down, but it can also be the issue because of Cloudflare if they have implemented it into their system. I have visited many sites which have Cloudflare implementation and most of them were having issues since yesterday, and the same can the be issue of Sherbet. I'm quite sure that this issue will be solved soon and any websites that somehow have incorporation of Cloudflare will be in their previous working condition.
It works fine for me, but in the future it would be cool if there was a discord or telegram group to talk with the staff. Because that kind of blackouts create panic if there's no helpdesk to get updates from. I mean we could ask in here but it's fair to assume that there's not going to be an answer in real time.

I understand that if it would be a scam exit it wouldn't matter if they had a helpdesk or not, but helpdesk would prevent panic if everything is ok.

Guys, look. Just for you to know that it's still possible Smiley

I won this huge amount of lottery tickets a few days ago. And although I didn't win anything in the latest Lottery Round 423, winning 100x of the basic prize on the Wheel of Fortune made me feel good for a second for sure. Smiley
Congratz, I have won that too. In fact if i remember correctly it was more tickets back then.

While that increases changes it doesn't really change them in any significant way because the amount of total tickets is such ridiculously high that you need to put it in context. Changes of you hitting with lightning in your total lifetime is 1:15,300. Now count your changes winning in any lottery. We are better off hoping we would get hit by a lightning, but somehow people won't believe that would happen to them. Instead we want to believe in lottery win.
1398  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you expect to go to Heaven, when finished here on Earth? on: July 10, 2023, 09:14:52 PM
Hi all, here is a two part question:

Do you believe in Heaven?
and,
Do you expect to go to Heaven, when finished here on Earth?
-cut-
A: Nah, i don't need afterlife. This life is enough for me. Thought of that gives me peace and clarity and understanding that i need to cherish everything i have while i have it. I need to live my life to the end because i have it. While being kind to my family and friends and give my kids a better changes in life than i did.

I used to be religious, but after i understood what void it was filling, getting rid of it really balanced my life to better. I just don't need anyone in the sky watching me. Neither gods or government.

B: What will happen after i die? My body either get burned or buried. I guess my afterlife would feel similar to before i existed. Like nothing.
1399  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - Drake, UFC, Everton, Alfa Romeo F1 Team on: July 10, 2023, 09:04:43 PM
I rarely see an X250 or even X500 multiplier show up, as the biggest is about X12, but sadly I couldn't get anything. It will be a big win if we get a multiplier of X250, especially if we manage to get X500. It would be like a dream come true Grin

But the truth is that only people who have great luck can get that big multiplier. We can only enjoy what we can get, and perhaps we can try again another time. And we still have plenty of time to try it, and who knows, our luck will come on another time.
I haven't encountered them either, maybe it's because i don't play that often. Currently once a week with biggest bets i can afford. 1400  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How would you measure your success in Crypto currency on: July 10, 2023, 08:56:06 PM
Many said its absolutely a scam, pathetic and more. but crypto currency has favored to those who trusted on it, In terms of cross border payment, p2p and vice versa the domination of crypto is keep on increasing. In terms of investment people knew only Crude, stocks, bonds, stock market, gold etc...but this platform made a way ahead to make money harder and smarter, I know most of the government's are not favoring this but in upcoming years you will see the green signal for crypto as well.

I personally feel it has changed most of us in our life, In terms of technology and development we every one know the way we are heading towards web3, metaverse, defi are remarkable. All credits to development of bitcoin Smiley I am earning this from as well, I never thought I would make much descent money in this sector. share your success as well thankyou Cheesy
I don't personally haven't felt the change in my life, maybe because i am already living under good society. But i totally understand that in third world countries, or in somewhere where you can't trust the gov or banks, holding your own wallet, sending money and using DeFi is quite a game changer. Well i have benefited by making money but i don't really think that's the main point of cryptocurrenies. Just a side effect for them being volatile and me getting in early. And it's not like everyone will get money from it. Many of the people will lose everything just for investing wrong time to wrong coins.
