A heartbreaking incident (suicide) committed by a gambling addict occurred again in one of the cities in my country. I am surprised by people who are determined to commit suicide because of debt, after all debt is something that can be solved, message for suicides - why should you end your life and leave your wife and children without clarity, doesn't that only make them suffer more and the future of the children becomes uncertain!

Quote
Alexander Leo Gunawan (33), head of the Expeditionary Office of the Tanah Sereal branch of JNT, Tambora, West Jakarta, was found hanging himself on the third floor of his office. Before ending his life on May 10 2023, the resident of Jalan Gunung Sahari VIII No.22 RT 015/004, Sawah Besar, Central Jakarta, had called his wife and conveyed his intention to kill himself and ordered him to look after his children.

Trezor and wasabi coinjoin are the same thing. Just take one coinjoin is on wasabi and the other is on Trezor wallet with the help of wasabi that are working in conjunction with Chainanlysis to sensor transactions.

Have you read about Jointmarket before: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/JoinMarket

agree, an alternative to wasabi - trezor - samourai is JoinMarket;
Quote
Joinmarket is a peer-to-peer system that allows users to increase the privacy and fungibility of a Bitcoin transaction through a process called "CoinJoin." In a typical Bitcoin transaction, a sender transfers a specific amount of Bitcoin to a recipient, with this event being recorded on the blockchain. However, with CoinJoin, multiple users' transactions are mixed together into a single transaction, making it difficult to determine the origins and destinations of funds.
SOURCE--

but there is also another alternative (I don't really understand how it works), it's called Liquid Network;
Quote
Launched by Blocksteream in 2018, Liquid Network is a layer-2 sidechain that improves the performance and functionality of Bitcoin. With Liquid, users can complete fast, secure, and confidential transactions on the Bitcoin blockchain.

1426  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Copa America 2024 (CONMEBOL & Concacaf Collaboration) - Discussion Thread on: May 11, 2023, 08:26:58 AM
If this is partly so, this is without mentioning that a large part of Europe has been rich thanks to South America since the time of Christopher Columbus and what few know is that many fossils are still being found in South America that are rich in gold, silver, bauxite that they continue to be exploited (but in a bad way thanks to the mismanagement of the governments) however what you say is very true, most of the money comes from there, and that is something that has a lot to do with the sponsors who always leave to Europe, for example in Brazilian fútbol, if they gave it more support in terms of very large sponsors, many players would go there, not only because of their fans, but also to absorb the exquisite Brazilian technique.

an realistic football player, having a big name only in their country (football players in Brazil or Argentina) is useless so when there is a sponsor or scout who finds young talent, they will immediately accept the offer and go to Europe to develop and become bigger and famous there. Young talent can be found in Latin American countries (brazil - argentina - uruguay has more young talent there).

discussing teams that have the potential to become champions in the 2024 Copa America, I see many who choose Brazil or Argentina but teams like Mexico - Uruguay - Chile can give a big surprise.

I vote that we should stop the ordinals. Id even vote to move their rotten, useless transactions onto a side chain if that was possible, but I don't see how that could be done.

the ordinal should be stopped immediately, there is no reason to support its development, it will only destroy the bitcoin ecosystem, inserting files every sats is the idea of people who fail to find buyers in their trash NFT.
1429  Economy / Economics / Re: How to increase profit in business on: May 07, 2023, 04:08:27 PM
of course, maintaining relationships with consumers is a magical thing, I have a customer that I really care about, she diligently buys my merchandise and even offers to be my reseller. I visited her several times and saw that she was someone who could be trusted and humble. apart from that I also gave her and her child birthday gifts several times and she even considered me her sister.

if you run a business, you must be able to maintain good human relations because finding someone who is honest - trustworthy - kind to you is a treasure that cannot be exchanged for anything.
This is a lesson often forgotten by those which just look at their balance sheet at the end of the month and they just see a bunch of numbers, but they forget that their clients are humans, so if you do not treat them well and make a point of doing so if they are your long term clients then they are bound to leave and replace you for a business that does, even if they have to overpay for the privilege, this means that any business regardless of the quality of their product still needs to try to give the best customer service they can or risk being replaced by another business which does.

that's right, many entrepreneurs forget how important CRM is (the term for that can be seen in the article below)

Quote
Customer relationship management (CRM) is the combination of practices, strategies and technologies that companies use to manage and analyze customer interactions and data throughout the customer lifecycle. The goal is to improve customer service relationships and assist in customer retention and drive sales growth. CRM systems compile customer data across different channels, or points of contact, between the customer and the company, which could include the company's website, telephone, live chat, direct mail, marketing materials and social networks.
SOURCE--

the benefits that we get when we manage to maintain relationships with our clients are really big, you could even say they might be the opening of our fortune in the future. Large companies that until now still have stable consumers are those who understand how important the psychological relationship with consumers is.

I'm willing to bet, if I don't maintain my relationship with the customers that I consider as my sister then my sales will not be as good as they are now.
1430  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: Perjalanan 2017 - Now, Bagaimana Perjalananmu? on: May 07, 2023, 03:38:36 PM

1431  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN BULL MAY BE IN TROUBLE on: May 07, 2023, 03:11:45 PM
According to what's happening in the market today., Bitcoin's value has changed a lot in the past, still going up and down quickly. Recently, it reached a really high value in April 2021, but then went down a lot in May 2021. There are different reasons for this, such as concerns about the environment and government rules. Some people think that in the short term, the price could still go up and down a lot because of different things like the economy and what people think. It's hard to know for sure what will happen, so people who want to invest in Bitcoin should be careful and think about the risks and rewards before doing anything because the Bull market may be in trouble.BTC

so you made this post to warn others and invite them to be more careful and carefully consider buying Bitcoin!!

all investment assets in this world (not just bitcoin) have their own risks even though the big or small risk of each is different; Let's take gold as an example, if you buy gold, you will only get a stable price because the price movement of gold is very stable and not fluctuating, then will you be able to make big profits from gold? the answer is no, you will only get a profit that is in accordance with the portion of your investment -- even if you invest in property, you need a large amount of capital and also the profits you can get will not be felt in a short time.

what I have to remind everyone who wants to buy bitcoin is > Bitcoin is very volatile, every day the price of bitcoin can be very high or very low, so don't ever think that bitcoin is an investment whose value is stable (if you use fiat as a pair).

for long-term investment it is not recommended to store it in CEX or DEX, it is highly recommended to store your crypto assets in a personal wallet where only you and your trusted people know the password and the phrase. at the moment only hardware wallets are very very secure but there are also some personal wallets that are quite recommended.

(just vent) until now, I still really regret that I saved some mbtc in my FTX wallet, if I wasn't stupid to save there I would still holding that btc right now. That incident really hit me hard and gave me more faith that the exchange is not a safe place.

1433  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Fun Question Here] Where Would You Live As a Bitcoin Millionaire? on: May 07, 2023, 02:04:32 PM
...
Question are..
1. Would/will you leave your current place of residence(your country), and relocate to a place you think is better(another country), if your bitcoin investment pays off, making you a millionaire, or almost a millionaire?

2. Yes or No - what is your reason.?
...
Lets have a healthy discussion..

in the economics section, I have also responded to things like this (moved to another country). Moving to another country for me and my family (even though we have 1 million dollars in Bitcoin) is not an easy thing, especially when the bond between parents is still there (but the story will be different if our respective parents have passed away). I myself really like to try my luck in other countries, especially USA, even though the competition there is tight but if you're lucky, life will really change drastically.

I have a relative who has moved to Australia for several years, he said the first 2 years here were difficult, he had to adapt to the culture and laws there, he even missed the local cuisine that only exists in our city.
1434  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you consider moving abroad? on: May 07, 2023, 01:01:13 PM
I once discussed with my partner about moving abroad, but he disagreed with that and said he didn't want to be away from his parents, especially now that my mother-in-law only lives alone.
based on the conclusions of my post, actually, I really wanted to move to other countries and change the fate of my family, but after being tied to marriage, it was impossible.
That would be the least of my worries, to be honest. I already lived six years away from my parents and only visited on Christmas and Easter vacations. I'm quite introverted and am used to being alone with my partner.

My partner and I actually live in our own house and each of our parents live in different houses but are still in the same city. you and your partner are actually quite lucky to get used to being away from your parents but not for my partner, especially since the departure of my father-in-law, she (my mother-in-law) looks very sad and often sick.

Apart from that, another problem that my partner and I have considered to move aboard is the problem of income, how do we make money in other countries? To be honest, it feels like it's adding to our minds LOL.
1435  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: May 07, 2023, 12:29:34 PM

Despite the fact that I am not religious, I believe God does not like gambling. This is similar to the prodigal son story, if you have no control over anything, then it's an addiction.

It's crazy losing money from something and still playing it over and over, the only way to be sanity with gambling is playing for fun, and thats when you have the money that you can afford to lose, do not use gambling as your dream source, do not dream that gambling will open some good life for you, it's already a hell for you if you've developed this mindset.

I am also not someone who is very devout with religious teachings, but from what I know the bad effects of gambling are actually sins, so as long as you play responsibly - don't put yourself and others in trouble - don't get addicted to gambling - don't commit crimes - be satisfied with all the results that you get, then your gambling is not a sin at all.

Pro gamblers are different from usual gamblers but if we talk about addiction, they are all the same and chances are they both commit criminal activities when they badly need money to keep their addiction alive. Because their attention is not on where to get money, they don't care if that is wrong as long as they can get money to sustain their gambling life. If you have said that it happens in your locality, that also happens in some places, in some countries as well. That is what we called _"the curse of gambling addiction" and that is hard to stop.

I can say, those who are professionals in gambling are smart people, they control themselves - they think - as well as their surroundings, it's not gambling (becoming addicted to gambling) so it's only dumb people who commit crimes to gamble, they are too narrow in their think (like that stupid grandfather who kidnapped his granddaughter).

1438  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wagering requirements for withdraw on: May 06, 2023, 06:11:25 PM
I recently discovered that I signed up for a casino without thoroughly reading its terms and conditions agreement. But of course this was entirely my fault even that I am still bothered by the withdrawal requirements on deposits. It is well known that deposit bonuses or any bonus offered by a casino will have wagering requirements that goes to x50 or more. What truly concerns me is the 5X wagering requirement on normal deposits without any bonus in order to withdraw the initial deposit or winnings.
To clarify things better here is an example : if you were to deposit $1000 and win $200 in your first few games then you wouldnt be able to withdraw your winnings or even your deposits without wagering at least $5000. This means that 80% of the time, you would lose your money before reaching the required amount.
In my opinion this term is unfair. I am not attacking any specific casino, but I do believe that if users were aware of these requirements they would be less likely to deposit their money in such casinos since there are other casinos without such stringent requirements.

I don't follow this topic thoroughly but can you tell which gambling sites apply crazy rules about wagering requirements for withdrawing?

to be honest, your story will be a lesson for many people, especially gamblers who are too lazy to read the TOS of a gambling site even though they haven't made a deposit at the beginning. not all gambling sites are honest, and the gambling sites you mentioned in your post are clear examples of fraud committed by a scam gambling site. hopefully not many gamblers will fall into their trap.

1439  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin doesn't give you instant 100 percent profits on: May 06, 2023, 05:39:41 PM
it's all a matter of mindset, I see a lot of people being deceived into investing in bitcoin because they really want ROI and fast profits (in severe cases, they have no idea what bitcoin is) so many of them are ultimately deceived by scammers or ponzi schemers.

I never want to teach someone about the steps to buy bitcoin if that person thinks that bitcoin can make him rich in 1 night, is bitcoin a magic tool?

bitcoin is not for everyone, bitcoin is only for people who want to change their lives and the world and contribute to it by buying bitcoin and hodl.
1440  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading or investment! What's your take? on: May 06, 2023, 04:27:08 PM
...

Now over to you reader, which aspect of bitcoin is best or worst experience? Where are you good at! Trading or investment? Bursts our brain with your expertise

In this case, I suggest looking at the activities of each person, trading and investing in Bitcoin have their respective advantages and disadvantages, especially in terms of making a profit or loss. btw, seeing that my activities in the real world are quite busy, I prefer investing over trading (I mean daily or weekly trading) therefore I have to work hard to manage my finances well so that the investments I make can bring me profit. while investing, I also do monthly trading, when the price goes up I will sell a few percent gradually then when the price goes down, I will also buy a few percent gradually.
