Any business where today you launch, tomorrow you begin making profit...?

A friend of mine asking me a business idea, and he told me it is a big profit business idea, I'm missing out for not entertaining his advice! He told me everything would be smooth sailing, and very big profit too.
Before putting our friendship before any business ventures.. first have an open mind to avoid making a reckless decision, and btw if this involves your buddy running the actual business to make the big profit then this has to raise an eyebrow because I have seen people come up with the best money making ideas not until they say they need to be the person to run the business & receive the business funds only to learn the person needed this money for some personal agendas...which is why we are advised not to mix friendship and business.

And by the way, business can sometimes be considered as gambling as you don't get to hit profits every other day , so someone telling me that its smooth sailing is hiding something or it's a lure mechanism that has his interests as top priority !!

I also only want a business that is profitable as soon as I form it legally, register the entity, file for licensing, any paper work, legal business by laws (no selling weeds or explosive).
For such a business proposal, am thinking it has to be something of high value and illegal stuff you dealing in, as they say that the higher the risk the better the reward...If it's anything that involves an honest living expect cashflows not to be consistent.
1423  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion || Current Topic: AFCON Qualifiers 2023 on: September 11, 2023, 06:56:27 PM
For the first time in African football history, a country has produced male and female Balon D'or nominees in the same year and that I think is a big achievement for Nigeria and also a very commendable feat that's been achieved by the most populous black nation.
Victor Osimhen and Asisat Oshoala deserves their nominations after an impressive season with their respective European clubs. That been said, I don't think any of them stands a chance to win the prestigious prize when it'll be announced on 30 October at the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris.
Victor Osimhen needs no introduction when it comes to football, as his among the best strikers of his generation and has been a top performer for some time & not limited to a season of football and deserves the Balon D'or nomination.

As for Asisat Oshoala, well let me first say I come in peace  Grin For her, I think it's the politics of football at play, as she has gone against some of their beliefs and this is meant to keep people talking and breaking the ice of some of the norms to be eased on women...and btw am not saying she's not a good footballer.. just thought the worldcup isn't enough to win her this  Balon D'or but the nomination itself is a winner.
1424  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Be rich sheeple or free people, what's your choice? on: September 11, 2023, 04:33:39 PM
- Bitcoin gets accepted everywhere, every government legalizes it, all mining is centralized, everyone must register every address with the local IRS, you're not allowed to send money outside legal addresses and miners are refusing those, every single transfer is taxed, the government can decide at any point to seize your coins and can do that with ease. BUT the value will go up 1000x times to 30 big ones!
- Bitcoin is not legal tender, but the genie makes it so that the government has no way and no intention of making any move against it, nobody is banning you from owning, nobody is taxing you, nobody cares about your KYC, AML, taxes, profit, any legal action against anything that involves Bitcoin is impossible and illegal, any seizure impossible as it would break the law, you're as free as one can be. But the price stays forever at $30,000.

No middle way, no trick, no further questions, no this or that, your choice and tell me why this and not that!
Don't know if the stroll got you thinking outside the box or you are just creative, but I like the crypto fantasy going on here and you should take more walks   Grin

Now, coming to the two tough questions at hand, this is like choosing between being a slave or enjoying your freedom without any interferance, and to be honest any sane person will prefer their freedom though when it comes to money matters..seems like the narrative usually changes and from the two options I would rather go with the first option of having the money because I know money is as good as power and I can buy my freedom with it!

The problem with the choice of mining being centralized is that it doesn't portray anymore bitcoin as a wholly decentralized cryptocurrency.

We do want to have a support from the government but if it's going to take even mining to become centralized, how is that going to go? Like everyone has to register every time we get some transactions?

I don't think that many are going to stay with that type of setup.
Agreed, as much as we love our government being involved in our crypto business, the is a line that they can not cross as this interferes with the decentralized ecosystem of bitcoin.

1426  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto or Real estate on: September 10, 2023, 11:57:56 PM
The fact that I know that real estate does not depreciate  regardless of weather the property is built on prime land or not, it will never lose value and for this I pick Real estate unlike crypto which is highly speculative and will only hold good value depending on good market conditions such as good Political environment..which could branch out into favorable regulation, technological advancement, etcetera

And btw, when it comes to risk, of the two I believe Real estate is a low risk industry and can guarantee a stable income unlike crypto which is seasonal and cannot always guarantee profits when one invests in it.
1427  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: KYC matter? on: September 10, 2023, 10:35:03 PM
What are the repercussions of failing to complete KYC on an exchange?
Unfortunately you only get to feel/know the repercussions of failing KYC on a CEX if you hold funds on the exchange & try to withdraw,  and the stupid thing about KYC is these guys will never bother you when depositing funds on their platform not until its time to take money out Roll Eyes and funny thing is that very few of us choose to go for KYC before the deposit which needs to change !!

But usually failing KYC means losing the liberty to use your funds as you would if it were in your personal wallet , which is why many pro users would advice on using a DEX or exchange that is not KYC compliant or flexible on this issue...otherwise only way out is to pass it and get your funds out asap!
1428  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: PayPal Just Announced Plans to Launch a USD Stablecoin - Thoughts? on: September 10, 2023, 09:25:51 PM
For a company like PayPal who love to control their ecosystem...I bet you this stablecoin will make it possible for buyers and sellers to be able to chargeback because buyer/seller protection are among their feature products that make PayPal popular .

Btw, when it comes to PayPal and crypto very few countries have access to this and how will this stablecoin work...will it also be exclusive to a few countries  Roll Eyes Already seeing red flags coming from these guys  Cry
1429  Economy / Economics / Re: BRICS has become eleven countries instead of five. on: September 10, 2023, 02:35:24 PM
BRICS inclusion of some of these oil rich Arab nations will put pressure on the West and non Brics nations in terms of energy and the economy..and not forgetting one of the major agendas of ending the dollar dominance which has long been threatened as this is turning to be a real tale!!
At this point, I believe even the sanctions put on Russia aren't felt as it's BRICS allies will be at the aid of these guys to trade in whatever commodities they need and it will be business as usual...and seeing what's happening with Oil around the world, tbh BRICS is definitely winning this one and there is no stopping them taking into consideration the 46% of the world's population Influence!!

The best the West can do is go back to the table and draw up new treaties with these guys to make the survival of other nations possible as its not going to negatively affect the USA alone!

1430  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Common Bitcoin ideas on: September 10, 2023, 01:06:01 PM
This brought me into thinking how do we make people understand Bitcoin properly in order to prevent them from being scammed and end up disliking the crypto space. Is introducing them into Bitcoin talk enough ? If no what else more can we do easily to make them actually get the idea of Bitcoin.
To be honest, I don't blame the majority of people thinking bitcoin is a scam because many of the times..we have a lot of scammers all claiming to multiply funds X times for a small investment and everyone that has done so has nothing nice to say because they not only lost the investment but profits never showed up too.

And worse off, crypto sensitization on how to protect oneself in the cyberspace is hardly done which leaves room of scammers to have an upper hand...which is why due diligence and research should always be encouraged to have first hand information and how to be make crypto smart decisions.
1431  Other / Meta / Re: Too Many Forum Boards - Outdated Threads - Let's Delete Boards on: September 10, 2023, 11:24:40 AM
There are too many forum boards, which in fact not needed. -snip-
Good example - In Important Announcements first page newest thread is from 2018, majority from 2013.
Much less forum boards can give a lot more info for members, which is not so complicated and not outdated.
Might seem like a great idea, but then again for the purpose of the forums history

I think this should be kept unless server space is becoming a problem then these are boards to consider for retirement.

Better yet, maybe archive these boards then have them deleted to free up some server space so that whoever needs to visit such can find an archive for reference...

Hope forum admin give me higher rank for good suggestion.  Grin
Nice try buddy 👏

But everyone has to go through the available ranks to get to the top Cheesy and prove yourself you can learn the forums etiquette to avoid playing the I didn't know this rule existed when you get a higher rank.
1432  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC Fight Night & Main Event: Sportsbet.io Predictions & discussion on: September 10, 2023, 09:12:33 AM
I saw Drake put up a half of a million dollars on Stake for tonight matchup on Izzy getting a knockout victory.
And this was Drake showing support for his friend as always! And with Izzy losing this match, Drake will unfortunately will be waking up half a million dollars 💵 less as it didn't go his way Cry

I must admit this match was never going to go the Stylebenders way from the second the match started, as Strickland was really excellent both defensively and offensively...Izzy was just off and couldn't land any clean hits on Strickland inspite looking better in the 2nd and 3rd round but wasn't enough to get a decision in his favor.  Better luck next time champ 🤼🏽‍♂️🏆
1433  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎰⚽️ Cryptoplay.io - Casino and Sportsbook | Race and Rise to Riches - $2M | VIP on: September 09, 2023, 10:22:37 PM
Welcome to the bitcointalk forum Cryptoplay.io hope you have a pleasant stay here Cool
Seeing all the praise and nice reviews about your platform some of the users above have given..I was forced to visit your site which I found quite colorful & likeable,  though it gave me an impression of Cryptoplay.io being heavily concentrated on casino games than the sportsbooks judging on the limited markets and limited sports you have here which is soccer ⚽️ , and for a user like me who leans towards the sports I would like to see a variety of sport games supported to avoid limiting potential pundits from what they can't and can play Smiley

Otherwise welcome to the BCT forum once again  Smiley

Btw that 10% cash back on losing bets for sports, does it accumulate till you claim or its a one time offer ?
1434  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Using Statistical Data to Win Sports Betting Picks on: September 09, 2023, 06:46:11 PM
The fact that history is meant to be broken means you can not rely on statistical data especially that some games tend to favor form over fixture/history.

And if you ask me, I would rather treat all my picks to have a 50-50 chance of winning,  which is why I don't even entertain low odds below 1.50 as they are usually spoilers and high risk as they require huge amounts to fatten the profits!!
Besides, sports games aren't some kind of board game like chess...these games need to be played with emotions, good psychological wellbeing,  external support and a whole lot of stuff which makes it quite unpredictable  Roll Eyes
1435  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your actual dca strategy? on: September 09, 2023, 05:29:10 PM
Instead of just DCAing because you can afford that tinny amount every month well there is a risk you probably don't know about.

Assuming you plan to invest for 12 months by dollar cost averaging, and you keep buying 200$ worth of bitcoin every week or month, do you know that there will be times where the market will go up rather than down? DCAing at such times are increasing your risks.
Totally agree with you, which is why I think DCAing with crypto should have a different approach and factor in aspect of risk!
Am sure many will say that without following the investment plan it might not be called DCAing, but to try and maximize on potential profits..I think  its best to buy when price is low unlike going with systematic crypto investments that can expose you to over priced coins.

There is a saying that, stay away from the green candles, do not chase them.

There is DCAing when the market is going Up and DCAing when the market is going down, well I have been investing since last year now and my DCA on Bitcoin only happens when there is a bigger dip and so far it's my best plan yet.
I admire your plan as it's a basic strategy of buy low and  sell high..well technically without the selling part  Cool But seeing your rules have been tweaked here and there , do you buy several times in a month or only buy coins once .
1436  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots with the purchase of bonus games - is it good or bad? on: September 09, 2023, 01:58:01 PM
Am not the casino person to advice on this , but from the numerous videos I have watched on this bonus buys I would say it's a 50-50 thing which can be said to be the fastest way to lose money or the fastest way to make some good money depending on how lucky you are...

And truth be told, such game plays aren't for people with one game hand to play...you need to keep playing to give yourself a winning chance which is the unfortunate thing!

But all in all, you know what they day...of you don't play you can't win.
1437  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is bitcoin moving now? on: September 09, 2023, 05:52:37 AM
Overtime now it seem like bitcoin is lacking direction but from the look of things it has started gaining effectively price direction and this is going to going a long bullishly
From what am looking at... Bitcoin has lost its volatility from what it was known for , and at the moment seems to be ranging with small moves happening here & there which can easily be mistaken for bullish momentum but in reality there is bearish pressure... And looking at the monthly chart it actually suggests that we could be trading bearish until we hit a low before price reverses upwards.

1438  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance remove and cease trading on the following trading pairs -! on: September 08, 2023, 09:43:03 PM
Besides the more obvious reasons such as low liquidity in the market for BUSD and the alike,  but is it also not possible  that this decision of delisting Busd pegged pairs could have been reached because of SECs continued pressure on Binance US and the only way out is to try close shop for one of its big coins ** either BNB or BUSD Huh

1439  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers on: September 08, 2023, 07:48:45 PM
Scotland are playing so well currently and the only team that managed to score a goal against them in Group A are Norway, with such solid defense in place, it might be hard for Cyprus to score any goals against Scotland. I guess Scotland should be able to claim another victory in Group A with a clean sheet against Cyprus at the end of the match.
Its just the first half and Scotland has already got three goals against Cyprus ..and am loving how Scott McTominay and McGinn are linking up ..who by the way have all got a goal & an assist each, is anybody going to put a stop to this great show from the Scottish side Roll Eyes I dont think so!

Just feel bad for Cyprus who sit bottom of the table with their fate known to be crashing out of the competition with no win to their name, quite sad  Cry

.
I think Portugal is better than Slovakia even without Cristiano Ronaldo.
Slovakia are playing really well without fear and have even been able to create some goal scoring opportunities. They are defending well against a very good Portugal team with many talented players like Ronaldo, Fernandez, Rafeal from AC Milan, Cancelo, Dalot, Bernando Silva, but still no way for them to get their game really going to create any chance. The only chance they have had in this game was from a mistake by the Slovakia defense. If Slovakia win this game, they really deserve it. They have played well with the ball and when not with the ball. They are a hardworking team.

Slovakia was much better then Portugal in the first half and its a shame that they didnt score a goal and after a couple of misses Bruno Fernandes with a beautiful goal punished them and i think Portugal has opened them even more and can score two more goals to finish this match.

Stats say otherwise, Portugal has enjoyed more of the ball and mathematically created more goal scoring chances, and with the squad they have fielded today I expect them to come out guns blazing in the second half!
1440  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling should be play with care on: September 08, 2023, 06:11:57 PM
People don't have statistics to play gamble and that is why some of the gambling enthusiasm do experience (shege in gambling... meaning much loses in a gambling) so it's good for gamblers to know a specific amount that should go out in their wallet weekly or monthly.
You know the funny thing about gambling,  when starting off everyone has these plans on how they will gamble with X amount and not go passed a certain threshold...but when the games start and you win a good amount of money and think you can do it one more time with a double or nothing and lose that round...this is the turning point that pushes everybody to try win back what they lost and then go off script..

When you check the statistics of who is on constant gambling of different kind of gambling either casino, poker game and other gambling games, should check the funds that goes out of them monthly because of gambling and they funds they received in a month and annually in gambling if they are of the same amount.
Can't speak for these kind of gamblers but by doing this.. chances are high that you will start to chase your loses which could lead to losing even more money!
That's why they say , if you are going to gamble then gamble with funds you can afford to lose!!
