1421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ASUS MINING-RX470-4G on: June 26, 2017, 05:45:18 PM
Anyone already have this on-hand? Would like to know if there is significant increase in hash rate compared to normal rx 470s. Thanks
1422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: $5 a day on a 1080ti from Nicehash sound right to you? on: June 26, 2017, 05:19:17 PM
mining new coin that are still young on the market
New coins like ? what miner ? I think we owners of TI are all interested.

DGB via Skein algo.

Im really optimistic that this profit ratio is temporary. I have to be. I just invested $5k worth in mining rigs..
1423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LITECOIN DUMPING HARD!!! on: June 26, 2017, 03:35:26 PM
I believe litecoin will soon dump hard back to 15 dollars and it's not sure if it's going to bounce back again. I advice you to sell your coins before this imminent dump happens

This my friends is the perfect example of redneck FUD. Im surprised topics like this are even allowed.
Anyway, congratulations to all those who buy the LTC dip.
1424  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's happening with crypto markets? on: June 26, 2017, 03:17:37 PM
Many people are saying "this is normal; just a correction; blablabla" but actually, this downturn is mainly due to the recent news regarding the possibility of the bitcoin fork. Many speculate a fork like this will drive btc price down further. Good luck to us all.
1425  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GTX 1060 Dual Mining Hashrate on: June 26, 2017, 07:23:54 AM
Hello,

what is the hashrate for GTX 1060 3GB and 6GB version in dual mining ?

thx

You're welcome.
^ This guy is a tool and probably knows nothing about mining.

Anyway, my Gigabyte 1060 6gb does:
22 ETH
150-200 SIA
1426  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ASUS Mining-P106-6G Coming Soon on: June 24, 2017, 04:02:35 PM
GPU mining profit ratios already down as i type this. Will GPU mining last much longer when this card is released? Lol
1427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum 30% hashrate drop for RX400/RX500 incoming soon? on: June 24, 2017, 01:44:27 AM
Which brings us to the question - why is GDDR5X worse than GDDR5 at mining performance? Is it because none of the miner code is written to effectively utilise the faster prefetch?

Huh what makes makes you say GDDR5X is worse than GDDR5? My 1080TI GDDR5X is hashing faster than any of my GDDR5 GPUs.
1428  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Drop of hashrate for Polaris cards incoming on: June 23, 2017, 06:45:42 AM
I do believe this is not the right thread to start asking which card works for mining.

Going back to the topic, would it be safe to say that new miners still have until December 2017 to reach ROI before the difficulty bomb freezes everything?
1429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: litecoin reached over $56 on OKcoin on: June 22, 2017, 01:58:23 AM
Litecoin is definitely a sleeping dragon. Check out the litecoin project page (http://litecoincore.org/). Lots more good news incoming so id speculate now is a very good time to buy. Im ALL IN.
1430  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [Survey] How a perfect Bitcoin exchange should look like? on: June 15, 2017, 11:19:31 PM
Withdrawals and support should not take more than a day to process. Im thinking i put my money in the exchange, i should be able to withdraw it whenever i want.
1431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Nicehash: tracking individual GPUs? on: June 14, 2017, 03:57:59 AM
Hi guys, im GPU mining with nicehash and was wondering if there is a way to track the performance of individual GPUs?

Im using 4 pcs of GTX 1060 and when mining all their hashrates are summed up.
Using claymore's dual ETH miner and individual rates arent displayed on the console too.
1432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Road to RX 570/580 7 GPU MINING RIG on: June 11, 2017, 09:35:16 AM
Hi guys im about to setup a similar 7 GPU mining rig but with gtx 1060s. Is this driver problem true to all mining rigs with more than 4 GPUs or is this specific to the RX 570/580 line?
1433  Economy / Economics / Re: Tell me a secret: any way to earn 0.1 BTC per week? on: June 11, 2017, 06:01:08 AM
Although i havent back read too far in this topic but i feel that it hasnt been said much, altcoin mining. You will need an initial investment but the returns are well enough to ROI in around 3 months.
1434  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: About to buy a miner on: June 10, 2017, 05:22:09 PM
Will u talking about a GPU or ASIC miner? Both miners can earn bitcoin for you.

Generally, GPU miners are cheaper and safer to invest in because you can more easily sell them on the market and cost less electricity to start with. Just make sure you do your research, aside from asking on this forum, before investing. Good luck!
1435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH Mining Profits to dry up in Dec. on: June 10, 2017, 04:27:58 PM
Aside from the fact that the price of ETH will sure moon when the time comes, its not all about ETH. There are many other mineable coins like ZEC that will be there. 6 months to December is enough time to ROI on GPUs. If all else fails, you can still sell them off in december and still profit.
1436  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience 2Pac BM1384 Stickminer Official Support Thread on: June 08, 2017, 05:27:13 AM
Let me do a newbie question, please sorry if it's a too dumb question.

Would it be possible to change the firmware ( or something else ) of the 2Pac GekkoScience to mine with a different algorithm? Like Scrypt?

For firmware, not likely, the 2pac is an ASIC. Meaning its designed specifically for a single algorithm and this is hard coded into the hardware during manufacturing. They could release another version of the 2pac with different a algorithm but the one you already have will remain as is.
1437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What will kill GPU mining profitability in 2017? on: June 07, 2017, 10:39:44 PM
I'd add that what is most worrying is your 1. ETH's switch to POS. Coindesk quotes Vitalik when he says,

Quote
"I prefer not to give timelines," Buterin said, though on social media he recently gave a perhaps too rosy estimate of late 2017.

http://www.coindesk.com/ethereum-casper-proof-stake-rewrite-rules-blockchain/

Most likely we will feel a decrease in profitability, but im confident mining will not simply roll over and die.
1438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: RIP Poloniex Trollbox on: June 07, 2017, 04:24:02 PM
I for one am actually sad that the trollbox is gone. Yeah it was full of spam, but it has somewhat become part of a habit. It was entertaining at times to, if at all just to LOL at all the screaming. RIP trollbox you will be missed too.
1439  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Thinking of starting mining. on: June 07, 2017, 02:49:29 PM
1. My energy cost is 0.11$ / kWh. Is that much even with newer miners?
2. Budge. If the numbers add up I would be willing to spend up to 10.000$
3. Infrastructure. I have a place for the miners and I know people that could set up the power cord in a professional efficient manner. Noise might be a problem, are these things extremely noisy? I was thinking of making part of my wardrobe as the mining farm so it will be suppressed in a way. However, I live in a apartment block so I want to know if it can be a bother to neighbors.

1. That is good enough. Im currently mining profitably even at 0.2$ per kwh.
2. $10000 should be more than enough to get you started mining. GPUs cost around $500 each.
3. Noise shouldn't be a problem. Simply having a closed door can shut out the sound, esp if you are just GPU mining.
1440  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: I currently mine with 2kh/s+ and 10kh/s on desktop will it be worth it? on: June 07, 2017, 02:28:12 PM
You are mining BTC with CPUs? Thats a losing endeavour.

Consider mining Monero instead or actually getting some GPUs or other mining hardware. Im sure youve read this posted here everywhere but mining BTC is only for ASICs nowadays.
