1441  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: cant found 1000x !!! Should i make my own project ??? on: July 03, 2023, 10:11:01 PM
After the super pump of pepe who started the project on 2023 April 16th, many people started to make their own project. And we suddenly enter memes season, But, i found most of them is scams project, we can say 99% all of new project is scam (pump n dump, marketing wallet fraud, rugpull, etc). I just thinking after being scammed by hundred of new project, there will not project become the next pepe !!! Should i make my own project Huh
Go ahead but why would that pump? You do realize that Pepe token and others have teams with experience behind them, even though they are pseudonymous it's pretty clear how connected pepe for example is. You don't attract that much whales and get listed to binance immediately if you are not connected.

Even those rug pulling scammers have experianced teams. You don't pump something by yourself unless you have ton of extra money to do that. And no one is buying a generic token with anon single dev
1442  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Minimum Age to gamble on: July 03, 2023, 10:00:20 PM
in my country the minimum age is 18 years old, and this is not only for gambling, it also serves for the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages, marriage, employment in the government or company, even for the person to open an account at the bank, in my country the person needs to be 18 years old or older. in the case of online casinos, it is difficult to control all the people who create accounts in the casino and this task of controlling so that people under 18 do not stay in the games of chance is a task of the parents, one should not blame some casino, the people should blame the parents who don't stay villainous, don't take good care of their children

casinos do their part to ask for kyc, but parents at home should watch what their children are doing, most parents are not asking their children what they do on the internet, what they do with the phone and computer, they don't look at the phones and their children's computers, they don't sit down with their children to talk about things like gambling in a way that makes them understand that they should only gamble when they are over 18 and that they shouldn't lie and break the law by playing in casinos knowing they have less 18 years old, are things that parents at home should do

in recent years, even 8-year-olds already have a phone, they are already on instagram, and I keep asking myself why do certain parents give an 8-year-old a phone? two years later the child is obviously already playing in a casino and age is a lie, in some cases even the child asks someone aged 18 to create an account in a casino and kyc and give him the account, it is normal for some 13 or 15 year olds do this kind of bad stuff
Why would anyone make a gambling account to 8-10 year old with his own name? I mean beside the fact it's immoral, what do they get from it? Kid's pocket money?

And imagine those 8 year olds making a ton of money and info about your casino income got to your local IRS equivalent, and since you didn't pay taxes for winnings you would get sued for tax evasion. All because you made an account to some kid.
1443  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever felt remorse after gambling? on: July 03, 2023, 09:52:42 PM
I saw this online and thought maybe i should bring on to bitcointalk for discussion.

If a person gamble and at the end of the game he starts to feel remorse is that a good thing or should the person be on alert?
Long time ago i felt it a lot. At the time i was reckless and didn't even understand i had a problem with gambling. That was before i had set any gambling rules and limits for myself.
And shame too after i had to tell i gambled my rent and couldn't afford it.

After i managed ask the money from my mother i stopped gambling all together. But i still loved gambling and wondered if there's anything i can do to keep it in control. So i made a set of rules to myself that i keep updating if i find something that doesn't work. When i stick to those rules i will be fine and don't have ever feel that remorse or shame of losing.
1444  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: July 03, 2023, 09:39:07 PM
There isn't going to be any fight at all, even if there will be, it won't be something that serious that it would injure or kill one of the two, do you think they are mad or what? They know it's not what they need to do, all this must only be for fun or only catch the public's attention for something that we don't really know, they are doing well in their respective fields and I don't see any reason or need for them to do something as crazy as this.

Very soon, the truth will prevail and we will know the reason why this was done, or we may never know, but I really don't think that there is going to be a serious cage fight between two tech giants and billionaires who even if have something going on, this is not necessary for that.
I doubt that this would be just a marketing stunt, because what would they would they be even marketing? Unless Mark isn't buying twitter and integrating it to meta i can't see anything they would build together. Their values are too far from each other and they are in direct competition. I really think they are just bored billionaires. And i agree that this fight might not happen. Elon will be the one chickening out.
1445  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Verified twitter, telegram account is the strong point for a new project? on: July 03, 2023, 08:35:55 PM
My friend informed me that at this time many upcoming project social account like twitter, telegram is verified.
Does that mean these projects can be trusted?
In fact many are encouraged to invest in any new project following this.
What is your opinion on this matter?
Why could it matter if twitter account have a checkmark? Because they can afford to pay $8 for checkmark? It doesn't matter to me at all if someone pays for it or not, i am looking at the development rather then silly optics.
It seems so silly to fund that platform anymore, it actually used to work well for cryptos, now it's just pointless.

I am not sure what are the requirements for verified telegram channels, but it's essential point that or something we should be focusing on.
Only improtant thing in telegram is that we should always double check the real @nick anyway when we are talking to someone.
1446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance 11th LUNC burn: 2.65 billion tokens destroyed on: July 03, 2023, 05:54:06 PM
I was wondering why binance is so hell bent in reviving this coin like why they are still supporting this disaster after so much time has passed.
we all know how rotten this coin is to the core yet there are still many attempts from binance in reviving this coin.
but despite of that, so many attempts have done already and this coin is still dead. surely it wouldn't revive in the future even if total supply
reduced to just thousands because this coin has no utility, no use, being abandoned by developers, basically its useless shit coin.
Anything is ok that brings them money and isn't illegal. Lunc volume is $31+ Million per day and majority of trading is happening in binance. So just the fees will make them lot of money.

It's a crappy community revival project but it's not a scam, at least not in a way that would be obvious.
Also it most likely doesn't drive Binance's customers away but keeps the bag holders happy too.

I understand why they are not delisting it but at the same time it's looking like a scar that we got from a scam.
1447  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - Drake, UFC, Everton, Alfa Romeo F1 Team on: July 02, 2023, 11:57:09 PM
Throwback to that one time when @Trainwreckstv almost got the Gates max win in the baser 🤯

https://twitter.com/Stake/status/1675457286242979842
Making $1,250 bets with slot machines makes me think that i live in other planet with whole other economy. I would feel blessed just for winning $1,250. I can't imagine what kind of life someone is living who can afford over $1k slot bets. I can't imagine the rush they get from their winnings either. Is that kind of feeling even manageable? Like my biggest rush times x.
1448  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Beginners Should Follow These To Be A Good Price Predictor on: July 02, 2023, 11:46:42 PM
5. Avoid Emotional Trading and Always Follow the Trend : Beginners are very poor to control their emotions in crypto trading. Even many experienced traders can't control it. So it should be controlled by practice and patience. Don't go for FOMO(Fear Of Missing Out) buying, avoid FUDs (Fear, Uncertainty And Doubt) and try to know more about Fear and Greed Index. And it's a must to follow the trend because there might be a chance to pump together.
This is one of the most important thing you mentioned, been emotional and at the same time placing a trade have 99% of losing that trade. We don't trade base on our emotions, rather we trade base on our stable motive backup by good trading strategy. Although there are countless barriers that are always on the way to hinder profitable traders like us from triggering our trading position. One principle I enacted was, if I don't see an entry that matches with my strategy, I'm definitely not going to triggered any position, because if we trade base on the trends, we lose out but with price actions, we are opportune to reap significant profits from the market.
I sort agree and disagree with this. Sometimes fear selling saves you lots of money. It's "system 1 thinking" and it's based on your instincts. Sometimes your instincts are right.
Sometimes they are wrong, but usually because when instincts are in conflict with the data we get, we get confused. This could lead to denial and we are afraid to make a move, like a deer frozen when it sees headlights of a car.

I more than once with several coins saw all the signals that we would be near the top, we can see those just by watching holders behavior. But i didn't sell. I sort of wanted to see how much we would fall. When we trust blindly to never ending growth, any talk of bear run at that point seems just like loonie talk. In then too, if i would have just listened to myself better, i would have seen my greed and denial, which would have been useful signals for me to sell.
1449  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stablecoin for bitcoin on: July 02, 2023, 11:32:08 PM
I see in this forum that many disagree with the concept of fiat money. But if we look at the price of bitcoin, most people like it when the price of bitcoin goes up. This means bitcoin is inseparable and independent as a currency without considering fiat dollars. At this point, bitcoin is considered an asset

With so many stablecoins for fiat dollars, bitcoin cannot break away from dollars. Maybe if you want to support bitcoin more and have bitcoin as the main base, is it possible to create a stablecoin for bitcoin?

I haven't seen a stablecoin project for bitcoin yet. Maybe if there was a stablecoin for bitcoin then bitcoin would be considered the main currency in crypto and the price would be considered stable

Suppose there is a stablecoin called Bitcash. Bitcash will always be valued the same as bitcoin.

For example:
Code:
1 Bitcoin = 100.000 Bitcash
I fist thought that you were talking about actual stablecoins like USDT, which is on the bitcoin's omni layer already.
But what you are saying doesn't make any sense. If Bitcash would be valued the same as bitcoin, then why not just use bitcoin instead? Or even WBTC?
Or if it's a pegged coin then why would anyone want to make centralized pegged version of btc?
1450  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance 11th LUNC burn: 2.65 billion tokens destroyed on: July 02, 2023, 11:13:40 PM
-cut-
Traders have reacted positively to the burn, with LUNC seeing a 3% price increase.
-cut-
This is funny at the same time it's sad. It's like beating a dead horse. Anyone from outside sees this as a doomed project, but i can imagine i would be shilling it too if i didn't manage to sell my bags in time. These guys are probably DCA:in this to the end and hoping they make their money back with just a tiny pump. I don't think anyone sane is thinking possibility of ATH at this point or even near to that. They are just thinking how can they get out and make some money by doing it.
1451  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are the steps in understanding technical analysis? on: July 02, 2023, 11:06:59 PM
Technical Analysis is astrology for traders. It is dressed up to look like a science, but it is really just based on myth, fantasy, wishful thinking, and confirmation bias.
People who promote Technical Analysis are just trying to extract money from the fools who will believe anything they see, or at best they are trying to impress people with their fake expertise.
Well actually it's based on probability and statistics. It's a whole another argument if TA lives in a bubble and isn't connected to reality at all. But pure TA just studies probability, i doesn't care about fundamentals or real world events at all. Combining fundamentals to TA is whole another thing.

There are number of ways people are trying to predict the chart. Old chinese patterns, elliot wave and psychology of market, and some people just follow the MA, which is like common man's TA. Some follow confimations that trigger bots and are self fulfilling prophecies. There are always patterns. Otherwise there wouldn't be successful traders.

I don't believe any indicator alone is accurate enough to confirm trades. I just buy something that i see having more marketcap value later on.

TA is far from magical thinking or tea leaves, but i totally understand why it seems to be indistinguishable from it.
1452  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you guilty of promising not to gamble for specific days but back next day on: July 02, 2023, 10:49:12 PM
I did it many times back when my addiction is very high, I promise not to gamble after I lose a big amount I even swear that I will not, but the following day I'm back even promising to be better and not lose a big amount again.

How many of us are guilty of this?
I am sticking to a strict budget so i don't need to promise specific day offs for myself.

So even if i had the problem of keeping that promise, the fact that i wouldn't have any budget to play with would protect me from my impulses. And i don't EVER play over my budget. I have done that once and i know it's a slippery slope. Following my own rules make me respect myself and i am hooked on that feeling more then i am with gambling.
1453  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Buy more ETH..... on: July 02, 2023, 10:46:13 PM
Well, Eth is now PoS which means they are not the same decentralized blockchain before because anyone that has huge holdings of Ethereum has the huge impact on blockchain decision making. There’s no miners of it so the hype on this token is not that strong compared before when there’s a lot of interest to the project because of it’s mining profitability. Ethereum smart contract is already used by many blockchains that has a better feature. The current price of Ethereum is still in the top compared to it’s last 5 years price.

I will stock other blockchain project if the goal is long term since Ethereum is like other blockchain already when they change their protocol to PoS.
About that decision making process... In your comparison, how do the ETH whales on POS differ from huge mining farms we had in POW? POS even has slashing to keep bad actors away.

I haven't yet encountered anyone who has answered me about this. Maybe i am just ignorant but i would like to know, because right now if i had to guess this fud just seems to be coming from miners that are out of jobs.
1454  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: TrumpCoin - Making Crypto Great Again! on: July 01, 2023, 11:37:11 PM
As the election will come again and people are starting to create another BS. i remember even people have been talking which candidate that will possibly to be a new president again.
This kind of token was pure garbage scam token with no purpose. It's pretty much the same like a joke token. I can hope only once election will come and people will not be stupid enough to pick shit scam token like this.

That reminds me with Ivanka trump coin, trump coin and many shit scam coin being made by yobit.
Yobit brings back memories. They listed anything and seems like they still do. I remember this happening first time trump was running. These kind of theme coins about presidental candinates were considered as good enough ideas for altcoins scams. And for some weird reason people were buying them back in then too.

There were even country coins for every country and even city coins. Devs didn't need much effort to make a scam coin back then. All they needed is low level photoshopping and forking a coin. There weren't even tokens so everything had their own chain.

1455  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: European Sex Championship 😳, Will you Bet? on: July 01, 2023, 11:26:46 PM
Sweden has declared sex as a sport, and is set to launch its first tournament tagged "European sex Championship" on the 8th day of June, 2023, this means it's about 4 days left until the tournament begin?

We all can read the details on - https://m.timesofindia.com/life-style/relationships/love-sex/in-sweden-sex-is-now-a-sport-first-european-sex-championship-to-be-held-soon/amp_articleshow/100720445.cms

You as a gambler..
1. What do you make of this?, is sex truly a sport and is it supposed to be carried out openly?
2. If casinos pick this up and make provisions available to users to bet on this supposed European sex Championship, would you bet?

Lets have some serious and healthy discussion here..
Link doesn't seem to work, it takes me to

Quote
6 signs you are having an emotional affair while being married

And by quick googling, sadly it was a hoax
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sweden_sex_competition_hoax

But if this would happen i would definitely bet, and it sparks my imagination. How would we watch that live? In the casino streaming or pornhub? What would the rules be and would pornhub addicts already know the professionals? Would different countries wear different unified clothes like in olympics? Would be use olympic arena for it? Would they play a national anthems in the end?
1456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Cash is pumping, why? on: July 01, 2023, 11:15:39 PM
I only begun to notice when people in social media were saying to stop shorting it to avoid causing a short squeeze which will only cause it to pump higher.

I am not quite certain why it is pumping, however, there are rumors that TUSD is being printed to pump Bitcoin Cash. I will collect more information and share them in this thread. If anyone has news, rumors and speculations on why this is happening, please share them.
Most likely because it wasn't declared as security. People are turning to any altcoin that resembles bitcoin distribution model as they think bitcoin is going to be safe from regulators. And they might be right but i feel like in Bitcoin Cash case it's only speculation and fomo. There's not enough underlying good fundamentals for it to make sense. Then again most altcoins don't make sense and any altcoin will do for speculators.
1457  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How is your Gambling Pattern Like? on: July 01, 2023, 11:07:27 PM
I don't have a gambling addiction, but I acknowledge that there are issues with my gambling habits that need to be addressed and corrected. One of the effective ways to tackle this is by observing, imitating, or modifying the patterns of other gamblers to suit me best. I'm curious about your own gambling lifestyle. Do you set aside specific times each day or week for gambling? If you enjoy sports betting, do you bet on games throughout the week whenever they're available? When it comes to visiting casinos, do you play at one today or this week and then try out a different one the next time you want to gamble? As for bankroll management, do you track it using an app, Excel, or any other methods? And regarding your environment, do you prefer playing at an online casino while listening to music in the background, or do you prefer a quiet atmosphere? I may have missed other aspects, but these questions should suffice for now. I look forward to reading your thoughts and comments.
I never even thought if i was copying other people's habits. It might have been a good idea at the start, but then again i feel my gambling is for me, including the decisions i make, and set of rules and limits i made for myself. And those rules are tailored for my habits, flaws, income flow, favorite games and strenghts.

I am using excel to manage all my money, so it includes gambling as well. If i am playing my home i used to make drinks for myself, have replaced alcohol and cigars with comfort snack food and listening to jazz radio Smiley. Also sometimes i take a break and go jogging. That i am using to calm my nerves and break any losing streak.

Now that i think of it, i am guessing i picked up some habits from experienced players, like don't take more money to physical casino then i want to gamble. Also don't drink and gamble. Other stuff is are my own inventions (i think) to make my gambling as pleasant as possible.
1458  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Minimum Age to gamble on: July 01, 2023, 10:51:16 PM
I came across an article How Old Do You Have to Be to Gamble in USA?. In this article, i saw that the minimum age to gamble is between 18 to 21 years. I wonder if the online casino do follow this minimum age for gambling.

Yes, the gambling sites have our age data through the KYC documents. Do they ever restrict anyone who is underage to not to gamble?
Also, if we find any site allowing minors to gamble, can legal action be taken against them?

I find it weird that in the "land of free" people have full rights only after they turn 21. Here in Finland it's 18 and someone supervising my drinking and gambling after that would feel a violation of my rights.

I don't really know what the right age would be where people are responsible enough to make their own choices as i was an older man when i learned about responsibility, so either of those numbers wouldn't be right on my case.
1459  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will fall or rise? $30400 the recent price on: July 01, 2023, 10:20:52 PM
Yes the SEC did really harm the growth of the Bitcoins in the recent few weeks. Nevertheless we can see the effort from the side of Bitcoins, but sadly it’s unable to break the resistance and hence it’s struggling in the same price segment for more than a week now. This July month will definitely play a crucial role in telling us the future price of the coin for this year. If we increase the demand to accumulate the Bitcoins, then definitely we can see a rapid growth in the price, else Bitcoins in this price segment will continue for few more weeks. Let’s hope for the best.
Well not too much to be honest, it hasn't dropped significantly, bullrun is just happening slower with few more corrections. I don't really believe in significance of months especially when there are no tax days or anything like that close. I think that halving just keeps us from dropping more and creates confidence that we have seen the bottom already. This may not be as good month as before but i am betting we aren't dropping a lot either.
1460  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How is the chance of $PEPE to become the next $SHIB? on: July 01, 2023, 10:00:06 PM
Comparing Pepe with Shiba is really ridiculous, because Pepe is a memecoin that is 100% memecoin,
while Shiba is a Memecoin whose products and community from Shiba are as strong as Doge's,
Are meme coins like Shiba and Doge serious now? You do realize that when they were born they were taken less seriously than PEPE now? It takes time to develop a token/coin and it's fair to compare ANY meme token/coin to Shiba or Doge, as they aren't contributing to the scene in any other way then being a meme.

-cut-
so Pepe certainly won't be the next pepe.
