1501  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: User "Cloud Mining" is now deleting posts warning of his ponzi scam in thread. on: March 30, 2016, 08:22:52 AM
Just to update, two more confirmed sock-puppet shill accounts for this scam:

www.cloudmining.website seems to be a ponzi, but it is paying. After their price slash, I bought 10 Ghs in February 2016 for experiment. But, I was disappointed to see that their minimum withdrawal limit was 0.01 BTC. Recently, they have lowered it to 0.001 BTC. And, today I have got my payment...

LMFAO! Come on sockies, you're supposed to at least change the text of the shill-posts for your ponzi 'cloud mining' scam!

Also, a very small portion of the payouts will come from investing in moneypot.com by bankrolling the house....Concerns? Post them below!

As I said, if you think you're improving on your legal situation by declaring that you will gamble with your clients' deposits, even if it is only a 'very small portion', you clearly are more deranged than I thought, QS.

It also needs to be removed from this thread title.
1510  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: What to do with old miners? on: March 29, 2016, 01:43:02 PM
Hey there, I currently have 4 S3 miners. I am going to purchase an S5 soon. What do most of you guys do with your old miners? Do you guys sell your old miners or just use them in your mining software?
This is why people should turn to cloud mining, so that they do not have to deal with old hardware sales to recover initial investments.

Except for the fact that 99% of sites purporting to be 'cloud mining' are actually ponzi scams. Just like the one in GG's sig.
1511  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: How much will 100GH/s yield ? on: March 29, 2016, 01:40:50 PM
I am new to bitcoin and I can't understand how to calculate the amount of bitcoins yielded given the GH/s. Say I am running 100GH/s for 24x7 for 1 week so whhat is the amount of bitcoins I will have ? If I am running on a cloud architecture ? Can someone show the calculation ?
Use mining calculators like www.cloudmining.website/calculator.php

Per week return for 100Ghs is ~0.00212716 BTC.

But whatever you do, don't use that ponzi scam he links to. It is showing signs of imminent collapse.

1513  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Apple is Now Free to Encrypt as it Chooses on: March 29, 2016, 11:53:56 AM
I don't think it was ever difficult to do in the first place.

The content of an iPhone can be cloned in its encrypted state which means you make as many copies as you need to cycle through all the combinations for the numeric 4 or 6 digit pin code. Every time the tenth code fails and destroys the data you go to a fresh copy of the original and continue trying the next number in line. Likely could be done in less than a day.

Is this not the case?
1514  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: **COIN-MINE**MULTIPLAYER BITCOIN GAME**PROVABLE FAIR*INCREASE BITCOIN1.05-1.5x** on: March 29, 2016, 11:48:25 AM
i should remove the provably fair claim as it was not programmed

Yes it is not correct to claim it is provably fair if it is not. I would suggest you look into other games which are genuinely provably fair and learn how it is done and perhaps you can have a coder incorporate it into your system in time.

Until then you will have to accept that people may have strong reservations as to whether your platform is rigged or not.

1516  Economy / Scam Accusations / User "Cloud Mining" is now deleting posts warning of his ponzi scam in thread. on: March 29, 2016, 10:10:46 AM
User: 'Cloud Mining'

Proven Shill accounts: 'GermanGiant','Vitamin King','HSBC','SolidRate','AlphaNil'

Their moderated thread: High Performance Bitcoin Mining | Starting from 0.0007 BTC/Ghs | Since 2014

Description of scam: Cloud mining service long proven to be a ponzi scheme in the absence of ANY evidence to the contrary.

This scam is actively trying to cover up criticism in this new phase of using their sock-puppet shill accounts to post multiple "Hey I got paid!" posts, suggesting they are desperate to find new victims. This indicates a greatly increased risk the ponzi is about to collapse.

Previously the OP of the moderated thread remained largely silent and did not delete critical posts for fear of triggering a scam accusation which would likely damage their operation more than the posts remaining in the thread.

The latest posts to appear were from known shill accounts 'Vitamin King' and 'HSBC' which prompted me to post my PSA warning to inform any newcomers who may be unaware of the fraudulent nature of this purported cloud mining operation.

As the above PSA appeared at the top of a new page, relegating the latest shill posts to the bottom of the previous page, 'HSBC' deleted his "I got paid" post and reposted it after my PSA so that the new page would not contain the PSA. I followed suit, to which he simply repeated. I then edited my PSA post to one warning of the indications the scam was likely close to collapse.

Having then posted my PSA on the next page, below HSBC's "I got paid" post, it was very promptly deleted by user 'Cloud Mining'.

Also of note is the recent increase in the activity of 'GermanGiant', the likely owner of both the scam and the sock-puppets, who is more frequently posting in threads these days in order to gain greater exposure for that large signature banner he carries.

The frequency with which the shills for this scam are now posting encouragement for this 'cloud mining' scam is suggestive that the scam is extremely close to collapse. Any money you send them is likely to be stolen.

Please quote this thread if you encounter any 'cloudmining.website' shills currently active around this forum.

'GermanGiant' is maintaining his run of posting in forums which do not display his negative trust rating.

1517  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Dooglus is supporting ponzis on: March 29, 2016, 09:47:51 AM
3. Posting of your participation in any form in their threads is UNDENIABLE PROOF that you don't give a shit about other users being ripped off.

Posting about it is worthy of a negative rating but hosting the source code is ok to do.

Logic fail.

He did not 'post about it' in the thread, he merely confirmed he had fixed some bugs and stated that the code was shit and shouldn't be used on a live system. That is not 'posting of your participation' in the ponzi.

Curious, if I went and posted a thread with this same exact ponzi script linking to his github for download how long would it take before you would give me a negative rating?
I don't know, depends on whether I'm about at my desk when you do.

If you posted a link encouraging people to download it so they could run their own ponzi schemes, it would warrant tagging you. If you posted a link discussing the shonky code inside it, that is something else.

Next.

1520  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Dooglus is supporting ponzis on: March 29, 2016, 09:21:14 AM
Everyone should do their due diligence before investing anything in anything is my opinion.

I agree completely.
No you don't.You would have removed CD if you did.

Riggggght, so anybody on DT who adds somebody else is required to agree with absolutely everything they say? I must have missed that rule, can you point it out for me?

I was under the impression that adding someone to your trust list was because you generally trusted their ratings to be correct. But you're saying that isn't true, that there is a hidden rule somewhere which actually declares some kind of symbiotic morality requirement?

Dooglus and I have a different opinion on 'Honest' Ponzi schemes, that is all. Seeing as not many people bother trying to fly that particular approach to running their scam, asides from QS as 'Honestbit' who as a US resident is actually prohibited by law from operating and promoting his "Hey we're a Ponzi" Ponzi, it isn't something that comes up that often. So we generally do agree on most issues concerning ponzis, just not that one.

For a minor difference of opinion about this to draw the spittle-flecked rage of ponzi-whores is absurd.

QS, why don't you and your sock-puppets take a break from the internet for an hour or two. Take a shower, clean yourself up, go for a walk in the sunshine for a little while. It'll do you the power of good.
