1521  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best store of value on: November 10, 2017, 10:08:38 AM
none of them. store your value in low risk things such as gold or depending on the country you live and city,... it can even be real estate.

bitcoin is risky we speculate it can to go the moon but we all know there is also a chance of it going down but since we know it is small, we continue investing in it.
when it comes to altcoins, they are 10 times riskier as investments. you can not really use them as "store of value".  most of them are not even safe with all their bugs they have!
1522  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How would you invest 10000$? on: November 10, 2017, 09:56:28 AM
I was wondering how would you guys invest 10000 today?
i would buy bitcoin with all of it, specially since i believe there is a good chance there will be a big rally pretty soon.
and then use some of it for trading altcoins that are getting pumped.

10K gives me 1.38BTC. and since i like round numbers i would transfer 1BTC to cold storage and use that 0.38 for trading.
coins like VTC and BCH which are getting pumped nicely are good options and each time i make profit i will transfer some of the profit to cold storage to sit beside my initial 1BTC and also increase my 0.38 for more profit.

Quote
I'd probably buy Ether, Litecoin and Monero.
i wouldn't buy Ether anymore since i think it had a dead cat bounce and even if i do, i will keep it on exchange balance to dump it fast because transferring ether to my wallet is scary these days with all the bugs in these wallets and all the hacks that happen.
1523  Economy / Speculation / Re: Greed = Bearish, Long-Term-Investment = Bullish [Segwit2x cancellation] on: November 10, 2017, 09:45:26 AM
i made my speculation a couple of days ago and was sure when the email came out making it official that SegWit2x is not going to happen as it was planned. and i still have not changed my speculation.

i say since hard fork like that (with a huge miners support but no core team support and little community support) had risks which some may consider even big risks of split, it meant so many stayed away from investing in bitcoin. specially those new investors that came in due to CME news.

i say we are in it for a nice rally soon. it is is not happening yet probably because there are still contradictory news around and also there is sell pressure from those who are selling because they know they won't get any free fork coins.
1524  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: B2X is not dead yet. on: November 10, 2017, 09:37:34 AM
Only about 15% support currently for B2X by miners.
https://coin.dance/poli

it is 56% in past 24 hours, you are looking at it the wrong way: https://coin.dance/blocks

and that is unreliable because most miners does not even run a compatible with 2 MB clients. they just let the world know of their intentions in their coinbase transaction. and also it takes time for most of them to upgrade their servers and remove the NYA from their coinbase to show they no longer support it.
1525  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India may ban bitcoin in 2018 on: November 10, 2017, 09:19:26 AM
you can NOT ban bitcoin because it is decentralized and nobody can control it neither tell others whether or not use bitcoin. they can ban businesses or banks from investing in bitcoin or accepting bitcoin payments and things like that but nobody can ever ban bitcoin itself.

and it has been a couple of months that people spread this rumor for some reason. maybe they want to spread some fear and cause bitcoin price in India come down from $12,000 back to $7xxx level!
1526  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why people attract for the BitCoin than other crypto currency? on: November 08, 2017, 03:39:58 PM
because bitcoin is not just some virtual number on a screen that has some arbitrary value to it!

bitcoin is actually something that you can trade in for anything you want. from the biggest and most expensive stuff like real estate to smallest and cheapest like a cup of coffee or a game worth 5 bucks. that makes bitcoin real and a currency with real usage.

none of the rest of the crypto currencies can claim the same.
1527  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will happen after the upcoming fork? on: November 08, 2017, 03:28:07 PM
How low do you think the price of BTC will go? How much will the new coin be worth?

i am convinced that this will be just like the previous two forks. a small drop (a bear trap or a newbie shakeout) before the recovery which leads to a FOMO buy and a big rise again. before the end of this year we may even see $10,000 reached because of this fork.

the new coin may be worth less than bitcoin but more than bitcoin cash.
1528  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Forks: Is it better for bitcoin to loose value and split into unlimited supply? on: November 08, 2017, 03:16:24 PM
If bitcoin wants to be a real digital currency, with low fees, affordability, possibility to enter, shoudl we not welcome all the forks?

all these useless forks do none of these things!
look at bitcoin cash for example. it did nothing. they forked it to create a miners' playground not a real currency. and as you can see 90% of all the blocks that BCH mined are empty. they are not even 1 MB! let alone near 8.
yeah the fee is lower on an altcoin that nobody uses. check out pandacoin if you want a cheap fee in an altcoin that nobody uses Wink
1529  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: All Legenday/Hero members should support Bitoin Cash! on: November 08, 2017, 03:09:47 PM
people are free to support whatever they want. they don't need you to tell them what to do. and as it happens they all support bitcoin not altcoins with other names abusing bitcoin brand.

an account rank is meaningless. what matters is the network itself. the hashrate, the number of transactions, the number of real merchants accepting some coin,... and BCH has none of these.  all the empty blocks (100-200 kB) and the lack of adoption by merchants should be enough indication for that.
LOL, Segwit is an altcoin
We will see what happen after S2X fork but miners will decide.

Acording the Whitepaper , bitcoin will be the fork with more Proof Of Work. If you think the whitepaper is wrong tell me why .

LOL?!
$7500 says it is bitcoin.
$2.5 billion daily trade volume says it is bitcoin
$125 billion market cap says it is bitcoin
300,000 transactions every day says it is bitcoin
1,452,839,779,145 difficulty and 10,760,937,515 GH/s says it is bitcoin
all the merchants (even big names like Micorosoft) that are still accepting bitcoin and more that started these past months say it is bitcoin.

and you alone say it is an altcoin! i guess everyone else is wrong but you eh Wink

1531  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Any suggestions about the BTC price correction later on: November 07, 2017, 02:17:03 PM
As many guys mentioned that the fact of the BTCBTC price rising now is because a over bought and it will coming soon a price correction downwards.
"many guys" say a lot of shit when they are online mostly for trolling don't listen to them Wink
"over bought" is meaningless with bitcoin.

Quote
Is this price correction will happen?
yes it will happen. another correction happen 2 days ago when you were still reading what "many guys" were saying. another one will happen after the fork. the some rise and then another correction and then rise and correction and the pattern continues.

Quote
(most likely it will be)
are you answering your own question? Tongue

Quote
How much will the price dropped then?
nobody can possibly know.
some speculators say it will go to $6800 some like Goldman Sachs say it will go up to $8000 instead of dropping.

Quote
I have been bought some at price $6000, should I abandon them at $7000-7500 and then try to buy it back after price correction?
if you believe what you said above in that parenthesis then yes you should "sell" at that range and wait for the dip to happen and buy back again.

Quote
Or maybe exchange it to something else to hold e.g. ETH? DASH?
absolutely not. because if bitcoin drops, these altcoins have a bigger chance of dropping with it than they have any chance of rising.

Quote
I wanna also long term hold the BTC as I though the price will rise again to more than $10000 after a potential correction period. but the purpose is to maximize the profit (Sell for high and buy it at lower again)
Want to hear more differnt opinions. cheers! Cheesy
you don't have to sell all you have. you can sell some portion of your bitcoins and then buy back with the money you get from that sale but still hold some bitcoin, untouched.

sell high buy low is best done by traders that have some experience in bitcoin market. if you are new i would advise against it.
1532  Economy / Speculation / Re: Monday correction TA - Head and Shoulders pointing to 6600 target on: November 07, 2017, 02:00:54 PM
i agree with the correction thing but not the bottom. you can not predict the bottom, specially not with Technical Analysis. i have seen too many of these TAs that i have lost faith in them all.

specifically the Head and Shoulders thing. there was even a popular (but dumb) one around a couple of months back where people drew a line between 2013's top and this years top and called upon the imminent drop down which never came!
1533  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Phew! That was close ... on: November 07, 2017, 01:48:38 PM
haha, it is that time of the year again. 4:20 guys are pumping the cannabis related coins again. they sit around with their bongs while buying the green cryptocurrencies while high. it would be nice if they could pump it 420% though Wink
1534  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Goldman Sachs CEO sees Bitcoin as part of a financial new world on: November 07, 2017, 01:44:08 PM
Goldman Sachs guys have been so bullish in bitcoin and i liked their speculations so far. there have been a couple of particular ones during the months of July and August that were perfectly on point and came true.

and he is right, bitcoin is growing too big these days. it is no longer something small to ignore. and at the same time it is strengthening its foot hold. pretty soon nothing can harm it at all.
1535  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will the fork lead to? on: November 05, 2017, 04:05:07 PM
My point of view is by the following fork and getting some "Free" Btc gold the proce of bitcoin will decrease a lot
With a good price for btc gold. Well it will be more accurate if I said it MUST decrease after the fork
May I know your opinions?

as you can clearly see now, forks like bitcoin gold have no significant effects on bitcoin price. of course there were a drop which means they are not  completely ineffective but it was not at all big. so your part about "decrease a lot" was wrong.
let this be a lessen and an example for future references. and this is actually the second example. the first one was the bitcoin cash fork where bitcoin price had a little dip after it but started rising even more afterwards.
1536  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fee and Bitcoin on: November 05, 2017, 03:51:49 PM
Amount of fee is going just to miners. And that's it!
Don't worry about you question - there are 21 millions of bitcoins.
But... if somebody lost wallet bitcoins will gone forever. So amount of bitcoins will reduce time by time because this reason...
that mean number of Bitcoin less than 21 Million because many old members they lost them Bitcoin and mining be hard how can bitcoin solve this problem ?

the maximum allowed number of bitcoin is 21 million. there can not be anything more than that.

but if we are talking about coins in circulation then what he said is correct. when someone loses their private keys those coins are practically lost.
there are also burn addresses which do not have any private keys. any coins sent to those addresses are also considered lost.
also when miners mine a block they get maximum 50 then 25 and now 12.5 BTC and so on in the future. but they can choose to receive less. and i know of at least one occasion where some miner got a 0 amount because he messed with the code he was using to mine.
1537  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Simple (and possibly stupid) Question on: November 05, 2017, 03:46:37 PM
supply and demand is setting the price. this can probably explain what it means better than i can: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supply_and_demand

things like China that you talked about affect the market temporarily, these are speculations. in other words some negative news means people will sell their coins, like when China closed exchanges some sold their coins. so speculators expecting this will sell too in order to prevent loss and price falls. but the demand has not gone anywhere that is why price bounces back.
1538  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I would like to invest! on: November 05, 2017, 03:23:39 PM
do you see mass adoption? if not then it is still a lot of time to invest in bitcoin. but when you saw everyone know about bitcoin, every shop accepting it instead of Master Cards, Paypal, and all the other crap,... then you can know by that time it is getting late to invest because price is near the max.

if you are talking about NOW, then maybe it is a little too high for short term for buying bitcoin. although i am expecting a bigger rise before this rally ends.
1539  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Airdrop, Mining, Staking, Bounties on: November 04, 2017, 02:23:19 PM
Airdrop hunting, Mining or Bounty hunting?

bounties are usually given to you for a job that you do, for example a translation, a wallet design, some bug fixes,... so their payments are usually a good amount. so among these the bounty is the best.

mining is also a good thing for making decent amount of money. but unlike any job, you need an initial investment in this and also it has costs such as electricity cost. and that makes it impossible for many to do it and make money.

as for airdrops it is not a valid money making method! it is a giveaway and giveaways are always small. rarely they become big enough to be worth it.
1540  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin already more than 7200. When to wait for correction? on: November 04, 2017, 01:54:47 PM
well it is always hard to predict bitcoin so we can never know. and that is always true.

in case of the current price, if it weren't for the recent news i would have said this is a bubble and price would drop back to $4k levels. but with the recent news about CME and bitcoin, there have been a lot of new people coming in and a lot of fresh money coming in bitcoin. that means this rise is genuine and not going to go down that easily because there is a lot of demand.

but as i said, this is bitcoin and we may never know.
