IIRC, he has mentioned that he's got really no power for those trades. And it's like a little expose' through his words but not that vulgar, sort of giving a hint with the trade that happens.
I just wish him all the best with his career back to ROS and I guess he's got more control there than what he has left with NLEX.

It is not really an expose if everybody knows that some teams are farm teams of bigger teams. But I think it is the first time that I heard a coach speak it out loud. And it is sad that PBA is tolerating one-sided trades. I guess because only a few teams can attract large crowds in their games like Ginebra, San Miguel, and the like. PBA let them do this because they know that their tickets will sell out if these teams play in the playoffs and especially in the finals. But it is also detrimental to the competitiveness of the league because, at some point, you already know which teams will make it to the finals, and which have the highest percentage of winning.

While I'm watching a match for Dota 2 TI qualifier on the NA, I've hovered through the other regions and gone through the Western Europe.

This made me realize that this is the bloodiest region IMO. It's because only 1 will secure a slot and even another 2 teams get in to the last chance qualifier, only 2 from the whole last chance qualifiers qualified teams will get in.

Each region has 2 last chance qualifier qualified team and from that whole point. WEU has got the teams that we used to like and watch like Team Secret, Nigma, Team Liquid, Alliance, goonsquad and from the other regions too we've got some favorite teams.

So, that just made me realized that we may not see some of those favorite teams of ours in the TI that used to be part of it for many TIs.

Yes, Western Europe qualifiers will be a bloodbath because some of the best teams did not get a direct invite. So, if you are a fan of any of these teams, you better watch them on their qualifiers because there is a big chance that they will not be able to play in TI. It will be tough competition so it will be fun to watch.

Group B of ESL Pro League has concluded. G2 ended up on the top spot with 5-0 and assured of the quarterfinals spot. While Faze and Outsiders finished 2nd and 3rd respectively. I thought this Group will be dominated by Faze but G2 beat them in their match. Faze and Outsider will advance to the round of 12 playoffs.

I was not able to watch Faze vs G2 last night but was surprised to see the result of the game today. Faze disappointed most of us by losing with a 0-2 loss against G2. I really did not expect this to happen. I believe Faze will be able to take down G2 with G2 only getting 1 map. But G2 was able to pull an upset against the #2 in the world and in a very convincing fashion. They took Map 1, Dust 2, 16-7. While in Map 2, Nuke,  they won 16-12. Can anyone explain what happened to Faze in this series?

Good thing I took G2 to win Map 1 which still puts me ahead in revenue.

10.81 odds on Connecticut Suns winning by 11+ in game 1 against Las Vegas Aces is tempting for me and I cannot resist it. I know it is very unlikely that it will happen, but it is game 1 of the finals. If there is a time that any team can surprise their opponents, this is the time. Having the Suns on a roll and having momentum in their Conference win over Sky, I believe they are much more motivated to win this game 1. As for 11+ points margin, if they caught the Aces off guard, they could do this. The Aces had a hard time with the Storm, and they only have a few scoring options. They will be having a harder time controlling the scoring of the Suns.

I also took over 168.5. Hopefully, my bets pan out. Good luck with your bet fellows!

I'll just share what I've seen in a post from a basketball page that the coach that will replace Yeng for NLEX is going to be none other than Chot's son, Josh.
Well, the management isn't naming him yet due to the fact that he's still in the hot issue that the father and son have taken it. If this is going to be true, then everyone is already going to smell the connection between the two teams. So, we're going to have that sister team again and likely that these two would be open for trades and, might be just exclusive to them.
Another rumor though, I thought the assistant coach of NLEX already get the signal to coach the team for at least a year. Well, another Reyes in the league most probably it can create that speculation and that connection as a sister team. Most probably the Josh is trying to make his own name in PBA since his dad is quiet old now and can now have his retirement. Let’s see if NLEX will settle for that and wait for their final announce with regards to this.

I believe Adonis Tierra is named interim head coach until a new head coach is found. Meaning he can still be replaced as head coach. The rumor that Josh Reyes as the head coach of NLEX can still be true. We know how close they are to MVP.  And if this is true, it may be a way to groom him as the new coach of Gilas too. I am just speculating here but it is not very far from the truth given how favored they are with MVP.

I just read an article that said the Lakers are considering trading Anthony Davis for Damian Lillard.  I'm pretty sure these reporters are just making things up for clicks now, as I don't see either team wanting to make that trade.  The idea of LeBron and Dame on the same team is pretty exciting though.  I put a 1% chance on that happening, but it's still fun to think about.  They're both killers on the court and I imagine would make one hell of a playoff run no matter who else is around them.

You are right, this is probably a rumor for clickbait. I do not see the Lakers trading Anthony Davis before getting rid of Westbrook. And if it happens, the Lakers will have 3 players that need the ball all the time, Westbrook, Lillard, and Lebron. I wonder how this will help the team. It will be painful for the coach to draw plays if this will happen. Lebron and Davis, in my opinion, is a better tandem than Lebron-Lillard.

I like to see that happening soon, adding a team will make the competition more exciting, just imagine how many players can play and for sure fans would love that. However, since NBA is business, it's very important that the owner can continue to manage the team for a long period of time, rules can easily be change,  the risk of investing is very crucial.
I am not entirely sure how the system will work though. It is not stopping the season, everyone else continues with their regular season, meaning teams who have games against the ones who play in the tournament will have to reschedule and otherwise all other games will stay the same and this will make it a bit harder to arrange again and again depending on the results.

I would highly suggest that the best thing to do right now would be to put this on either at the start or somewhere on the break. Like for example have a week longer all-star break, that way you will have a tournament before the all-star break, have a champion, then have all-star break, then go back to regular season.

It is just an announcement. It will take time before the new team can put together their roster, coaches, trainers, and back office. It will not disrupt any season. If it comes true, we may see them play in 23-24 season but not this upcoming season.

This is today's program in the ESL Pro League. I see only one match that might be competitive and that is FaZe - G2 obviously. G2 have impressed people a lot by their recent performance. HooXi and jks started to get better after some matches and the team are in a good form recently. FaZe are still a very tough team to defeat for G2 of course. But G2 can at least show some resistance even if they lose here. Winning one map and not getting embarrassing scores would still be good for them against the number one team. Outsiders and BIG should be able to win easier. BIG finally won a match after a long time. It was still not very easy against MIBR but this was very important. With the help of this win they can play more confidently against FTW.

I think FaZe @1.52 and Outsiders @1.31 are great choices for the day. BIG have only a 1.03 odd so I don't think it's worth betting on.

I am also betting that Faze will win the series against G2. G2 has good performance in the tournament so far but they are still shaky at times. If there is anyone in this group that can pull an upset to Faze, it would be G2. Faze dropped a map yesterday against Outsiders and it is possible that they will drop a map in this series as well.

I am taking G2 to win the first map but Faze to win the series.

Good luck to your bets.

1528  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: September 09, 2022, 10:57:26 PM
Even though Outsiders picked a great map for themselves they still lost on Dust2 by even a horrible score like 16-5. But they defeated FaZe on Ancient by the exact same score. Now on Inferno it is really difficult to predict the result for now because it is going on competitively. This is a map that both teams are playing strongly. However FaZe should be able to use their strength against them here. I remember how dominant they were against even NaVi on the same map before. Maybe it can be by a close score but FaZe should be able to win 2-1 at the end.

Both teams losing on the maps they pick, and not just losing but horribly as well. Score for both maps is 16-5.

Faze dominated Inferno against Outsiders. And to put salt to the wound, they called a time when they are already in match point 15-6. But Outsiders put a scare to Faze after the pause because they scored 5 straight rounds on Faze. Faze must have been frustrated to not able to close the match but eventually they got the match point 16-11. Outsiders put out a good show trying to pull an overtime but Faze was just too good for them. Faze remains unbeaten in group B.

Tomorrow Faze will face G2, the only unbeaten team aside from them. This will be a good match but I think this will be another Faze win. G2 is good but sometimes they perform shakily and unable to close some rounds even when ahead early. Faze will overwhelm them if they could not put a strong performance tomorrow.
1529  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 WNBA Discussion and Betting on: September 09, 2022, 09:05:39 PM
It was really an incredible game to watch and certainly, people are still going to say there is no entertaining game to watch, but this is proof that the WNBA is worthy of Attention they surely just need to not compare the two, because it is a different excitement and caliber of play, And this is what I am talking about,

This semi-final series is undoubtedly entertaining. There are a lot of crazy endings and the entertainment value is through the roof. Obviously, the skills and talent in NBA are far ahead of WNBA but the entertainment value and competitiveness against each other are there. We are still witnessing very good basketball in this league.

I have lost the bet but It didn't matter because of the great game I watch, and Congrats to you for winning it,

I lost as well. I really thought that Chicago will be able to make a comeback at this game since it is their homecourt but the defense of Suns in the last few minutes of the game proved fatal for the Sky. As you said, Sky was not able to score and the huge lead was deleted.

We are now set for the WNBA Finals series between Las Vegas Aces and Connecticut Suns. This will be another exciting series and I am not very sure for now who has the real advantage. Las Vegas Aces are the top seed and have very good players that have good defense and killer outside shooting. While Connecticut Suns are performing very well. Do you think they can pull an upset against the #1 seed?
1530  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: September 09, 2022, 02:13:30 PM
For BIG, I would surely bet against them, though I'd also consider that they are still a good team that has just lost form. Perhaps a +1.5 would be good, but even that is still risky as they get 2-0'd for a lot of times in their previous games.

They performed very well against G2 last night forcing overtime on each map. They lost but I think they are in a good form against a stronger team. They are against MIBR today, which I think they will be able to beat. They have not found their footing yet but I guess they will be able to do it at this game.
1531  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 09, 2022, 01:17:01 PM

I like this one, actually, they should realize it, and give everyone a job so they can continue chasing their dreams. With plenty of competition in the NBA, it's just important to add more teams.. What would happen here is more teams means more excitement as they will also have fans or followers.

however, since it's just a rumor, let's not expect too much as this might not happen too.
They should. The only obstacle that I see is who will be the owner of the said team. It requires a load amount of money and is invested with a lot of risks. There's no assurance if it will click as it will demand the support of the people of Seattle and Las Vegas and also from outside the country.
Another addition to the opportunity it will give is for more European Players to join the league, we know some of them are aching to play in NBA and showcase their skills.

Investment risk is already part of it, but if you look at the team owners, most of them are making money although we cannot deny there are some who lose and just resort to selling the team, but looking at the chances, there's a big opportunity of success compared to failure.

Seattle already has a history and fans of Supersonics will surely be excited to watch the new Supersonics. We know Vegas will be a big market and other sports teams are successful. The new NBA team there will surely be successful as well. So if ever the expansion teams become a reality, they are more likely to be a success than a failure.

1532  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 09, 2022, 02:49:43 AM
Any thoughts on the report that NBA will announce expansion teams on its pre-season. The teams will be Las Vegas and Seattle.

If it is Supersonics, I think it will continue the history of the previous Supersonics.

If this happens, as the report said, there will be reshuffling in conferences. Each conference will now have 16 teams each.

In G2 hooxi is really dragging the team down in performance. Either they will have to find a new igl or the other players will have to try a bit harder. Because to me it feels like they are playing with 4 players. I think it is not good for g2 to perform so badly. A change may come soon. In the first map, hunter showed an extra performance by getting 39 kills and hooxi's performance didn't matter much. But if every map will be like this, things will be very difficult for g2.

In Map 2, vertigo, G2 started very poorly. They were down 11-4 I think, I am not sure but they were down big. But they turn around everything in the second half and even manage to get to overtime and eventually win the map. They beat BIG 2-0. This is the closes match that we have in Group B. Both maps end in overtime.

It is just too bad that BIG was not able to close the 2nd map with the huge lead they built playing CT. Both teams have a hard time playing T in vertigo. Hunter and Niko worked very hard to win this game.

Next match, Faze vs MIBR. Faze is heavily favored to win this series.
1534  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 WNBA Discussion and Betting on: September 08, 2022, 05:14:19 PM
So guys, what team do you think will go against the Aces? Sun or Sky?
I mean, there's no telling what could happen since both teams are doing great and that's why we have a Game 5. It's a perfect match.
Maybe I will just go all the way for the Sun since from the start I was mostly betting for them.

I doubt that Chicago will have a back-to-back bad performance especially since it is an elimination game. With everything on the line for the season, they will have to find their game in front of their home crowd. The crowd will be the difference maker in this game. Sky will have the support of the crowd and they will play better. Chicago Sky is a better team and they have to prove it in this game.

It is hard to predict the winner in this series but in a close-out game, I will go with the one with home-court advantage. I will go with Sky to win and also to cover the spread.

1535  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: September 08, 2022, 12:58:53 PM
I made a mistake by believing in BIG against Outsiders yesterday. They couldn't even win one map which was painful to watch for me. BIG are still having the same issues and today they have even a more difficult match against G2. I don't know if they can even win one map today. It depends on bans and map choices as well. Overpass, Dust2 and Mirage are the maps they are effective the most. However G2 would ban Overpass above all else as they are too weak there as they haven't played even once before. The remaining maps are good for G2 side also.

Consequently, G2 are much more advantageous against them in every condition. Comparing the recent forms also there is no way BIG are winning here playing like this. I'd rather staying away from betting on score but G2 are sensible to bet on @1.36. It can be added to multis as it is a quite low odd for a single.

It is not good to bet at this time, the odds for G2 and Faze is just too low. I tried to parlay them but ended with just 1.48 odds. Not a good odd for me. I will skip this one and try when matches are not too one-sided. Maybe tomorrow when Faze matches against Outsiders, it might have better odds. But for now, I will just watch how the teams are performing in their matches and on which maps they are weak/strong.

Confirming that I have received the payment mate. Thank you and let's do this again next time.

For me, if the trade is between the best players of each team, PBA should weigh if it's fair or not. What I mean is, be balanced. For example, SMB wants Robert Bolick in exchange for their several bench players, that's not fair trade. Although we can't hide the fact that SMC is influential that's why even the trade is not fair, they will call it fair from both parties.

That is the best they can do, do not allow big team to farm smaller teams. They cannot limit the salary but at least they can assure that all trades will be of fair value. This will allow independent teams to build stronger teams that will be able to compete with big teams. That will also make PBA a more competitive organization. It is better to watch teams competing in equal footing rather than watch one or two teams dominate the whole association.
1537  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: September 08, 2022, 03:10:05 AM
Anyway, congratulations to BetBoom, it was unexpected while everyone is expecting that the slot will be for Outsiders.

Yeah I was one of them though. I was so confident that Outsiders would have won 3-0 and decided to bet on that lol but BetBoom is just full of surprise I guess. Getting to the last chance qualifiers is actually not bad though, they still have a decent chance to get into TI but the other region runner up would be there as well and most likely the WEU region is going to dominate the last chance qualifiers

It will be a lot harder to enter TI through the last chance qualifier. If they were not able to qualify in their region it will be harder to win against the runner ups of China and WEU. Not to mention, other regions runner ups will be there as well. Outsiders had the best chance to qualify through CIS qualifiers but they blew it. I guess Betboom figured them out.

This season, the top teams are always getting swept or losing to the team from lower bracket in the finals. Happened in Malaysia, arlington, riyadh. Could this be the trend through TI11? I hope not.

Anyone who has seen the interview with Patrick Beverley? The reporter asks what are his thoughts about playing with Lebron and Davis.

And you'll find it funny with what he has answered. He said, "They're playing with me."  Cheesy

--> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=veFBxgrwN6I

He is right though when he said he went to playoffs last season and Lebron and Davis did not. But he was just probably teasing his teammates. that is pat bev for you, he will toast even his own team mates. It will be exciting how they will play together and watch if they will ever get chemistry going.

1539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: September 07, 2022, 04:18:27 AM
Its going to be either Navi or BetBoom against Outsiders at the finals but either way, Outsiders would have win the game against any of these two. They kinda deserved to win the qualifiers though as things have been going out of their way ever since the Russia declared war against Ukraine, they were banned from some tournaments because of it because they are Russian and VP was owned by a Russian company or something
I agree, with the clean and consistent performance from Outsiders it's looking like a battle for second place but I do hope Navi wins so the odds would be a bit better heading into the grand finals.
At this point we all know that Outsiders will win this qualifiers. It is the comeback that they can give after failing to get the invitation to TI thru dpc points. I am betting for Navi too because I think they can give a better series against outsiders in the finals.

I am just curios that there is no offer for handicap in stake. Do you know any bookies that offer map handicaps?

1540  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 06, 2022, 10:39:30 PM
I think I just missed one trade that happened in June.  Grin Well, thankfully I bumped into it while reading something else about the new power rankings and now I won't be innocent when I see them playing in a new jersey.
Here is the trade that happened between the Nuggets and Wizards.
Sources: Washington has acquired Will Barton and Monte Morris from Denver for Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Ish Smith

So the Nuggets are trying something new. I bet it's because of what happened last season and these two guys did help the Joker but not in a stretch that is expected from them unlike when Murray was around. But the stats from KCP and Ish was almost identical, and I would still pick the former players for chemistry strength.

Just weird though that they have to try something new this season when Jamal is going back to play. Both Barton is a good contributing to them, and trading him for KCP and Ish Smith doesn't have anything for the Nuggets to be honest. Maybe KCP wll become their corner 3' shooter when Jokic do a dribble penetrate and pass outside. But as you have said, there will be a chemistry issue with this new Denver players.

I think it is just fine that they try something new at this point. Their stars are not getting any younger and they have not reach the finals in this current team. Maybe this change can be good to them.

Chemistry will not be a problem long term. There can be issues in the first few months but it is not something that cannot be ironed out in a few months. In worst case scenario, they still have 82 games to play in NBA to get that chemistry going before they enter playoffs. It could be a rough start if that chemistry will really be a problem but it is fine as long as they get into playoffs. By that time, they have played enough games together to have a good chemistry and win when it matters the most, the playoffs and the finals.
