1562  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever been a gambling addict? on: November 14, 2023, 01:28:08 AM
When you are addicted even your savings will also be used for it. Good thing that I have never done that, although I've got a few savings in the bank but I have never used any of them for gambling.

Most of the time, when I have cash in the past, I just use amount that's spare to me for any recreational actvity like gambling.

Never got to that point but I became active gambler before.
1563  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Not keeping records makes me a bad gambler? on: November 14, 2023, 12:20:46 AM
That's not necessarily true because there are people who gamble just for fun and don't keep a record of their wins or losses.
When I gamble, I think of two things and that's to gamble for fun and also to make money but, I'm the type of gambler that don't keep records. I don't mind how much wins that I've got.

Because what I am sure of, they're nothing compared to the entire losses that I've made. If I'll sum all of them up, for sure that they're little and less and far from being close of my entire losses.

If they win they keep playing more. They don't track the losses because they already consider the amount they deposit as lost.
That's true, when I win, I tend to gamble more until I think that I've got less profit by that time and will secure that. Realization comes at the end when we gamble and with little profit that's left, that's what stopping us for that day.
1564  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and misinformation on: November 13, 2023, 11:23:31 PM
There is no need to force that to someone that we know. We're just going to be looking like bunch of scammers if we're forcing them to invest.

Been there done that.

You let them go for themselves and don't encourage people that you know unless you are their first family. Or even with your first family, let them take care of themselves with their own assets and investments.

Forcing such on anyone will not only make you a suspected scammer, but wouldn't believe all you saying about Bitcoin even if you're saying the truth, with the way you say it might make someone who wants to walk away peacefully from the discussion, might start making enemy with you, that you want to lure him to do something he doesn't want to do.
Yeah and I've got to notice that in the past because I've got skeptic friends when I've shared about Bitcoin to them. I told them the truth and my own opinion about Bitcoin.

I've made profit too by that time before I've shared it to anybody. But I've got negative opinions instead of them getting interested on it and I felt sad that on this market that I'd love and then I want them to enjoy it as well.

Instead of the good response that I am expecting, I got nothing and even lied low friends.
1565  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and misinformation on: November 13, 2023, 10:47:34 PM
but in as much as am trying to share knowledge about Bitcoin to those who lack it, I don't try to force it on anyone so they won't see me as a scam.

There is no need to force that to someone that we know. We're just going to be looking like bunch of scammers if we're forcing them to invest.

1566  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading can ruin you on: November 13, 2023, 04:58:13 PM
It's very unfortunate that a lot of traders jump into the market without having a clear understanding of the risks involved. Some traders are actually into trading because they see others who have been successful and think they can do the same without taking the time to learn the skills and knowledge needed to be successful.
That's their motivation so they copy and think that the same results will happen to them, knowing that they lack background in trading.

It is always the case that we see from those traders that are also doing what they see, hear and watch from the motivational video contents on social medias.

These content creators always are glorifying their success and making a profit out of it but with their losses, they're quiet and never shares their journey there.
1567  Other / Off-topic / Re: I have find the forum more accormodating than outside world. on: November 13, 2023, 03:47:18 PM
Yeah It sound pretty Embarasing, but that's just the truth. When you get addicted to the forum you feel like some munits of not perticipating in bitcoin forum conversation it feels you have been left behind. Sometimes you might even be having issues with your spouse. That the love you have for your mobile devices is exceptional. Saying you even have more time for your gadget than her.

I have had several situation like that, what about you.
It is actually the entire internet thing that is like our escape in reality. But if you're into the forum, I'd say a yes because I know what you feel and been there done that.

There's much more sense to talk and read topics that you are interested with and have some conversation rather than talking with someone in real life when you're not in mood.

I'm not the most active user on this forum and I haven't been here for long but there are just a few threads who really keep me interested, so I can't really relate to this
That's okay, you'll learn to feel that someday.
1568  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Gold vs Btc on: November 13, 2023, 01:05:57 PM
Schiff is a gold man and will always be. Those negative statements and FUD he has said about Bitcoin determines his bias before.

I couldn't believe this is true until I checked it myself.

https://goldprice.org/

Form that chart, gold was around $1900 in 2011 forth quarter. Gold price as of today is $1961.

It is better to buy bitcoin instead of gold.
What a determiner chart. This shows how stagnant gold for a decade and likely to move a bit for the upcoming years. Unlike with Bitcoin, it's still young but we see how it progressed.

Yeah, Buy Bitcoin!
1569  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 13, 2023, 12:31:24 AM
The LA Clippers suck, Harden said that he's the system but everyone's now saying that he's no way the system but he's the problem of the team. I don't understand why this team with such good roster is struggling. LOL.

Maybe, oldies but goodies?

Atlanta today was the joke of the weekend.
Miami is playing without Butler and Herro and Atlanta is getting schooled in the first quarter and plays catch up the rest of the match, what a great way to blow it.

How come we see this so often, the best player of a team is out, they play on the road as well and suddenly they pull off 1 big quarter which pretty much seals it. They lose the rest of the quarters and still win easy because of the stupidity of the other team.  Roll Eyes

NBA at it's best.
Haha, certainly that they're also a joke team. I admire them when they're able to win and overcome against the Orlando Magic but not this time with the Heat.  Grin
1570  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not get scammed by this, specially newcomers. on: November 12, 2023, 09:22:58 PM
Not only for the newcomers but also for those that have literally lost their funds. They will be desperate and will definitely try to contact them as if they are for real helpers.

Everyone has to understand that if they've lost their bitcoins then it's lost forever and no hacker is generous to return that to them.

But for some instance like those huge hacks that has happened and exploits, some hackers were able to return the funds but that's a different case as the majority of them will not have a second thought to just take away all of your funds.

Boom Esports has just announced their new Dota 2 roster with the following players:

Pakazs
SLATEM$
Sacred
Matthew
Mjz

It's an all Peruvian lineup, so Boom Esports moves to South America?

Their location is already updated to South America on Liquipedia while their coach and manager is also from South America that confirms their change of region. I won’t blame them since it’s much easier to accumulate points in there than SEA that full competitive roster.

I notice too that some SA and NA players are also moving in different region. I believe there’s a lot of reshuffle going on all teams especially some intercontinental transfer like Wisper is now on OG.
Yeah, there are a lot of players from those regions that are exploring and trying to get into new teams. Well as for Boom Esports, they're now ready to explore on SA with these known players as well so good luck to them because they don't have luck in SEA.

And the other players from SA and NA are Wisper and Ari respectively, and both of them now have joined OG.

In mobile games, I was hooked with offline rpg games. I was like spending several hours just for those various rpg games that I only downloaded with most of them in Google Play store.

These were the rpg games that I can remember that I have played.

  • Zenonia
  • Inotia

And I was a fan of emulators too, like GBA, PPSSPP, PSX. I cant remember those rpg games in psx emulator that I have played before.

@metatera. You dont say that with EU players in Dota. It is one of the strongest region.
1574  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do you avoid scammers? on: November 12, 2023, 04:52:27 AM
They are everywhere and even in messaging apps where your number is associated with your account, out of nowhere they will come to get you by.

As long as the person is a stranger then you have the idea already that you must avoid and do not engage with them. Like what everyone is saying, no free money these days even airdrops will require you something.
1575  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: blockchain.com EARN commission 7 % on: November 11, 2023, 10:11:22 PM
Haven't tried that earn commission on that website but I had a terrible experience on them because I've used them as a wallet in the past.

It had just given me almost a heart attack so, a no for me. For some nations, that's already a good percentage that you can earn with passively but you also need to consider the platform.

So, those that are interested, ask yourself first if you're satisfied with what people having as experience and feed back about them?
1576  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Learn from my experience how to protect yourself from crypto scam on: November 11, 2023, 01:03:55 PM
5. Don’t rush for any offer or anything. Be calm and cross-check everything no matter how legit something seems to you.
Always keep calm.

Whenever you are overwhelmed with messages whether you're a moderator or just someone who casually browse on the web and checks your email.

You'll usually get those unsolicited and random emails, you'll read some interesting titles/headers of the email saying that you've won this or they're giving you crypto freely.

Don't believe with anything that you don't even know you'll receive or remember if you joined an airdrop or not. But the best is to ignore and avoid them, don't interact with any of them.
1577  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Main reason behind banning a bitcoin in some country on: November 11, 2023, 10:59:13 AM
Most likely they are banning it with the reason that you haven't mentioned and that's all about the illegal activities they believe that's only possible by transacting through Bitcoin.
though it is most likely the reason government is using but the truth is that the mentioned by OP is the main reason , even before Bitcoin exist all of the activities in illegal transacting is happening they are just pointing fingers in bitcoin.
I don't see he mentioned about illegal stuff and transactions, it was me that said it.

Quote
These governments think that it's still Bitcoin that's starting all of the illegal transactions that are happening in dark and deep web.
suck dark web,  if Bitcoin is abolished  dark web users will still have ways in transacting and that is the reality in life.
Exactly, there are other ways and means for the transactions and payments to go on.

Quote
It's not just all about those factors that you have mentioned but it's that they're not just ready for it and with this belief of negativity for using it. They don't understand that it's just the same as fiat because it's also money.
that is one point , maybe government aren't ready to accept and to operate bitcoin in their country that is why they kept looking for reason to ban .
They keep looking for a reason to ban because it's either they don't really like it or they are not yet ready for it.
1578  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Im short trader Im new here but been long time in trading on: November 11, 2023, 09:19:44 AM
I knew it while reading that when someone shares his success trading story, at the end of it will always have the convincing part of selling something like joining your private or signals group.

As you have said that it's not for free and that means of course it comes with a fee. With this strategy and sleepless nights as you have mentioned, as you offer that to other people.

If I am on your shoe, I'll take my time to work on it silently and will make myself rich before anyone else. So, just like the rich folks does, they never share their formula until it's not working anymore and that's when they will start selling it.
1579  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Raising children in this current society on: November 11, 2023, 08:09:26 AM
It's not easy and if you're talking about single parents, they have to deal with everything and that's why hiring someone to take care of their children is what they have to do as they go to their work.

There will be an effect to the kid if it's not his or her real parent takes care of them as they grow old. But as a parent, it is also your responsibility to at least allocate time for your kids.

With that, just having some good time, good food and good bonding with them will make them remember that as they grow older and the teachings that you'll tell to them will be remembered.

there are no perfect parents in my opinion kids would always have one or two things they will hate their parents for

if their parents were busy when they were growing up they might resent their parents for it but if the parents did a good job in making the kid feel loved and taken care of then as the kid grows up they will realize all the sacrifices their parents did for them and that would be enough
That is true.

But being responsible is different, we all know that there's no perfect parenthood and even kids too. It is just so happen that the current society and with the modern technology, if we're going to combine both of them, it's always been impactful whether negatively or positively.

The dependence of it is always based on how the parents do handle the grooming of their own kids. I just hope that I'd be also one of the good parents out there despite that I'm quite a busy guy and I do understand about being busy on work and at the same time raising a child.
1580  Other / Off-topic / Re: Grand Theft Auto 6 is coming on: November 11, 2023, 07:07:39 AM
Well my nephews might have get a new system. I did read it will not be on the ps4 and will not be able to handle the old consoles.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKvjR05U4sw
Expect it that when they release it, it's going to be power and graphics hungry. So with oour older consoles and potato PCs, we might need to upgrade.

GTA lovers still waiting for GTA 6. Because GTA is a emotion for PC games.
Yes and that is because GTA will always be one of the most favorite games of everybody. I just don't understand what do you think about it as an emotional game for PC games because, console or PC, there's no need to compare them because both are enjoyable to play.
