I dont think the CIA was able bypass the security of these apps, I for one am sure that the companies that started these apps are funded but the CIA and other Espionage agencies so that they could know whatever is going on, In the name of Security, we are being of robbed of our Privacy. Am sure thats why Nokia failed and the emergence of the smartphone all so that they can spy on us easily.

While I despair at the erosion of our civil liberties, I just can't agree that Nokia was suppressed in order to promote smartphones, so that the government could hack them easier. Maybe, just maybe, it was a bit easier to hack a dumb phone with no encryption, back in a time where we didn't even have proper electronic surveillance laws on the books, and the government could pretty much do what it wanted?

And you do know they are remaking and rereleasing the original 'bar of soap' Nokia as we speak?

You gotta, you know, unparanoid just a touch.

BREAKING!
Shocking new evidence shows British Intelligence spied on Donald Trump.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lGP2uuAwJNU

Everyone knows Obama is just a puppet.
The British Crown knows the American people declared their independence once again!

Now that this was disproven, renounced by literally all investigative agencies of the government, walked back by Trumps people themselves, and soundly and indignantly rebuked by the British Intelligence, what are your feelings on this still? Do you think this is a 'deep state' cover-up, or do you actually believe the consensus that the rest of the country has came to regarding the wiretapping allegations?

And do you feel Trump is a puppet? Given his slavish devotion to the oil industry, and a foreign country, Russia? Surely it would be easier for the elite to compromise and already compromised failed businessman, no?
1583  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How can terrorism be stopped on: March 20, 2017, 02:43:26 AM
Due to terrorist attacks there are many innocent people who are killed. If we need to have a peace full life what are the steps we must take....

You do realise most of these sick fuckers are made up by different gov trying to control own citizens/people or other countries for oil etc.
How many of usa attacks been stopped? None! How much they spending for new tech/airport checks and so on?

It seems to me that very many of the attacks could have been prevented. Just politics is very dirty linen. When politicians pursue their goals they do not consider the lives of others. They are always the end justifies the means.

They are great at preventing attaxks, just ones that they help cook up. The FBI has caught a few radicals since Trump has been in office an we have taken our 'hard line against terrorism'. But they aren't really parading these guys around because the cases against them are so clearly manufactured. They had one guy they recently got that couldn't even afford the bomb supplies they asked him to contribute, in order to entrap him. Another guy they had to ask for multiple years, and finally offer a financial incentive, before he decided to participate..

But every story like this is a win for them, because it gives another excuse to usurp civil liberties in the name of 'security'. The current administration seems to be using the strategy to great effect  Grin
1584  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Muhammad Ali Jr. Detained At Airport For Second Time on: March 20, 2017, 02:37:12 AM
oh boy do I love cases  like those where someone being a son/brother/relative of someone famous thinks he's beyond everyone else and deserves a special treatment. So what if he was detained at the airport? it's a common measure now, get of your high horse.

That might be valid, until you consider this is the second time it happened, and the first time he was held for a pretty considerable amount of time, and he is a frequent traveller. You would hope that the TSA isnt so fucking stupid it needs to interview someone it just vetted twice in a month?

But, these are the guys that grab ass and balls for a living, so I guess they are just making lemonade by needlessly harassing visitors.

And we all know, this guy has sooooo much incentive to be a terrorist. Being rich and all.
1585  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Living in slavery, forced labour and severe exploitation in Sicily. on: March 20, 2017, 02:16:30 AM
If you don't control your lust you are nothing but an animal of the nature you will get nothing in the afterlife, you can believe what you want.
It matters if you are in a room with a young and beautiful girl and her being defenseless against you, if you can control yourself and never abuse her sexually unless she consents to have intercourse with you, that is what really matters.
Stories such as this are not anything new unfortunately and happens all around the world from the dawn of humanity.
I do not understand people who rape women. I think it's sick perverts. They are not so much satisfying sex as an opportunity to bully a defenseless woman. This is very bad, but in many situations, women themselves provoke criminals.

To be honest, this is the culture that misogyny has bred, over all these years that we have been civilized. It was much worse back in the day, when the rule of law couldn't protect citizens like it does now, and penalties for rape weren't as harsh. Now, we normalize rape on television, media teaches our sons to be aggressive and dismissive against females, and it's teaches ohr daughters to accept that bullshit from males. It will take a complete overhaul of contemporary gender attitudes, around the entire globe, before we see any progress with shit like this. To be honest, it will get much, much worse before it gets better.
1586  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [POLL]Our civil liberties are being curbed in the name of counter-terrorism on: March 20, 2017, 02:11:35 AM
Unlimited freedom is not a good thing.
Freedoms should be restricted, for security.
States should be able to take all kinds of precautions in their coverage area.
Citizens should also allow it.
Not so terrible restriction of freedom by the state as something that can benefit this right policy. I don't trust them. all they care about is their own interests. Remember how many times already raised the question about restriction of the right to arms.

Some of this. Methinks the fear of Islam (I'm sorry, 'radical Islamic terrorists) is being used by the GOP to push for more restrictions on civil liberties. This is also to curb dissent against what is known for hand as a 'disruptive policy'. Notice how we have seen a lot of legislation lately criminalizing protesting lately, or enhanced searches due to 'increasing border security'. Funny how we didn't need all this shit just a month ago..

1587  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trumps Travel Ban? (Round 2) on: March 20, 2017, 02:06:08 AM
The travel ban will not work at all, The best option is to stop the inflow of these immigrants from coming is at the Embassies, Its a waste of time trying to ban them with executives orders.

The travel ban will not work, because the corrupt judges appointed by the Democrats are hell bent on blocking any legislation which will make the United States safer from Islamic terrorist attacks. Unless these biased judges are thrown out, democracy will be a joke in the US.

I think he should replace most of the pro Liberal judges, the one he feel will vote against him, He already sacked some of the judges why should he not just continue.

Replacing the judges is not that easy. If I am not wrong, in the US the judges are appointed for life. Their post will become vacant only if they die, or if they get impeached. And the latter option is extremely difficult.

Amen. Leave these guys be. If Trump can get elected and nit get impeached in the face of lunacy, surely studied legal professionals should get their 'day in court' (see what I did there?) Besides, do you really want the executive branch to be able to dismiss members of the judicial branch at will? Wouldn't that be a gross violation of separation of powers, kinda like what would have actually happened if Obama had tapped Trump's phone (see what I did there as well?l
1588  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you think there is a world government. on: March 17, 2017, 03:14:31 AM

It is believed that there is a global government that rules the world. Do you think this is so? What's the mission Trump?
Jacob Rothschild once said "give me control over the printing and manage the money and I will not care who rule the country". There is  world government rules by the elites and Rothschild family using conventional Bank system through national central bank to control monetary policy to world economic except north Korean and Cuba. God is watching them!

From thst perspective, let's look at the entities that actually have the financial/political means to control a populace: corporations. In that case, Monsato, Bayer, and ExxonMobil rule the world. Because, what would we do without food, pharmaceuticals, and petroleum products?

The most efficient method of dynastic wealth preservation is the company. Spreads the risk out to the shareholders, but still allows for the business progenitor to make proportional profit.

This world, is a corporatocracy.
1589  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Brexit bill approved! What does this mean to bitcoin if anything? on: March 17, 2017, 03:06:30 AM
On bitcoin's side, nothing will change much.

GBP will be ruined to deth though. Taking England out of Europe will cause massive trauma on Brits. In other words, long story short; Cheap Brit Coins are on their way.  Cool Stay with $$$.

GBP/USD used to be 2.0 wow, it became 1.5 later, and then 1.3, and now its 1.20. Soon it will be 1.04 or  smth, maybe lower. It will share the same fate as EUR. Maybe even worse.

Yezzir. Like the Greek debt crisis, like the Chinese capital flight event,  it really doesn't change too much for bitcoin except make them really attractive to purchase. Anytime a fiat that commonly trades with BTC does badly, BTC usually reacts positively. So if anything, GBP will take a punt, and btc will soar. But, when Brexit is finally realized, there will be other market forces at play also driving up the price of bitcoin.

We will see Grin
1590  Other / Politics & Society / Sooo, what's up with Breitbart? on: March 17, 2017, 01:40:06 AM
OK, I'll admit it. I read Breitbart about every other day. Now, this isn't because I am a fan of Breitbart, far from it. It's more of the same fearmongering and populism that Fox started to traffic in around 2004. But I keep an eye out for dissenting opinions, it is wise to know the opinions of everyone at the table, even if you don't agree with them.

So anyway, in my cursory reads, I've noticed a distinct shift in tone since the ACA repeal shit started up. Breitbart is still firmly up Trumps ass (though not as much lately), but Paul Ryan is no friend of Breitbart at the moment. I've noticed a similar shift in Fox (not so obvious, they are straddling the fence at the moment, and leaning hard to the Trump hand side). So, what's up with Breitbart? Is the ACA angst finally to turn the Breitbart crowd against the White House?
1591  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Yeah, Obama tapped his phone. Nobody thought he'd win. Now the country is fukt. on: March 17, 2017, 01:38:45 AM
Joint select committee also just came out and said that they have absolutely no evidence of any agency, repeat, any agency, performing surveillance on Trump Towers. So, given the jig is finally up (smokescreens dissipate eventually), we finally get a retraction from the White House. I mean, they have been walking the allegation back for the last two weeks (it's been a tough week for Spicer, but he kept it together for the most part). So, now that both the White House and a bipartisan investigative panel have said there was no wiretapping, what-the-fuck-so-ever, what are your thoughts?
1592  Other / Politics & Society / President Trumps Budget: Lets make the military great again on: March 17, 2017, 01:37:21 AM
Good evening folks  Grin

So, Trump's first budget hit the deck today. Interesting, but nothing surprising. Unilateral cuts in everything but security spending. While I believe in a strong defense, given our obvious military superiority, I don't know if I agree with defunding social institutions and regulatory agencies in order to needlessly extenuate it. It's like we overnight said 'fuck human development, we needz more gunz!'.

Also, not seeing anything addressing entitlements. We never seem to get around to appropriately taxing the elite, but that's an argument for another time. 1.5 trillion. I want to see how the GOP reacts to this, they have been a long proponent of a balanced budget and this, is not that.

Thoughts?
1593  Other / Politics & Society / Re: We aint free on: March 16, 2017, 03:27:52 AM

In the USA we arent free - noway near to it

whats our freedom- the freedom to choose between democrats and republicans??
to choose between coca cola or pepsi or to chose between mcdonalds and burger king or jack in the box or fat burger??

In most US cities we cant even drink our own sink water, everyone is armed cause everyone thinks only nts walk our streets.

Look at our POlice and military roaming our streets in La and other major US Cities- do they look like freedom??

The only freedom we have in the US is if we pay for it and we have to kiss ass all day just to make money so we can buy our freedom.
But even the way we make money 90% we do is scam our customers- how are we free.

Im so sick and tired of hearing people say in the US we so free we live so good and we have to watch out for the refugees or whoever cause they are a threat to our freedom??

How are muslim refugees a threat to our freedom when we look up most of our own citizens on an alarming rate???

How are we free in the western world if we aint even allowed to grow an innocent marijuna plant??
How are we free when most kids are bullied or mobbbed in school??

How are we free if we have to pay for every god damn thing on this planet?

How are we free if we get manipulated from morning to night from braindead media that tell us what to buy next andtell us were something bad happened?
How are we free when our phone calls, our bank accounts are surveiled by the ones that should protect us??
How are we free when we have to buy weapons to protect us?

So the next person that says we are free in the US better comes up with something good or shuts tha fuck up and accepts we aint free, we aint even close to freedom, we so caught in our bullshit and lies that we dont know we locked up

Open your eyes people and say fuck the bullshit- meaning fuck the money

Only if we get rid of the monetary system we will be free but aslong as we have to pay for the air we breath and the water we drink we nowhere free.

SO wake tha fuck up and stop running after money- money will never give you freedom all it does is buying you a nice window seat in your prison

The more money someone has the more of a sellout and a liar and scammer he is

This is the sad reality of belonging to a government. You can't be free. It doesn't work. We may enjoy vastly more freedoms than other countries, but ultimately, you trade your freedom and some of your personal liberties for the security that belonging to a government provides. Personally, I like not having to keep my own army, so it seems beneficial. Anarchy sounds fun until you realize everyone else at the table is just as crazy as you. And that you are trapped at the table with a gang of crazyheads.
1594  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trumps Travel Ban? (Round 2) on: March 16, 2017, 03:23:16 AM
....If we are gonna ban a motherfucker because of state level reputation, then start at known antogonist, like NK or RUS.

Fortunately, you are not in charge of who to ban.

Although there might be some merit in banning motherfuckers.
Smiley

LMAO.

Don't be so quick to dismiss RUS though. I see we formally charged two FSB agents and a foreign Russian national in the Yahoo intrusion. The liberal media doesn't have to try too hard to tie Trump and Russia together, they just seemingly, click Smiley

And  I see Team Trump is starting to stratify over this one (wiretapping claims). Sessions said no, Senate has said no, only Comey is left. It's kinda funny, for something that was meant to be a misdirectiin, this turned out to be a giant glowing beacon pointing more at Russia than the Obama wiretapping thing. And it was a silly plow. A quick read of a modern civics textbook could have set him straight before he made those tweets. Those marvelous, marvelous tweets. Keep em coming, 45.

This would be popcorn worthy, if I didn't live here, dammit Smiley

1595  Economy / Speculation / So, what's up with the price? on: March 16, 2017, 03:03:33 AM
Hey guys, serious question for the hodlers among us. As we have all noticed of late, btc has been quite bullish. Like most of us, I was surprised that the ETF was rejected, and was prepared for the subsequent bounce. My question is, what is supporting the current price? Despite the fact that I think it's false, the current Wall Street rally should have gold and bitcoin down. But they aren't; all three are doing well. Since this rarely happens (bitcoin and precious metals are safe havens, and tend to run contrary to traditional markets), what do you think? What will make the bubble pop, either way?
1596  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Segwit | Blocksize debate - please help me understand on: March 16, 2017, 02:56:41 AM
Ultimately, I think the miners will have this. While the team is ultimately the final arbiter of code, the constituents, if you will, are the miners. As we all know, that's China, and I don't think the Chinese mining community is that incentivized to do anything that makes mining less efficient. We will see, but the fact that it has taken this long to solve this problem is telling. This is a pretty easy fix once we come to consensus. It just seems like getting to a consensus is the hard part.
1597  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can Marine Le Pen win? on: March 16, 2017, 02:53:28 AM
If trump won in USA, there is no reason for Le Pen not to. France is a way more nationalist country than both Britain and USA.

And now nationalism is favored worldwide, globalism is no more.

For our Dutch friends on the forum, was curious: how did the elections play out socially around you today? Was it a shock (kinda like Trump in the US), in the way that most of the people you associate with were surprised at the outcome? I'm surprised; the handling of the Turkey thing was a plus; but Gert has a wicked following, and populism is the flavor du jour. Thoughts?
1598  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Unlimited Remote Exploit Crash on: March 15, 2017, 05:07:29 AM
Quote
This is essentially a remote crash vunerability in BTU. Most versions of Bitcoin Unlimited(and Classic on a quick check) have this bug. With a crafted XTHIN request, any node running XTHIN can be remotely crashed. If Bitcoin Unlimited was a predominant client, this is a vulnerability that would have left the entire network open to being crashed. Almost all Bitcoin Unlimited nodes live now have this bug.

To be explicitly clear, just by making a request on the peer-to-peer network, this could be used to crash any XTHIN node with this bug. Any business could have been shutdown mid-transaction, an exchange in the middle of a high volume trading period, a miner in the course of operating could be attacked in this manner. The network could have in total been brought down. Major businesses could have been brought grinding to a halt.
How many bugs, screw ups, and irrational arguments do people have to see before they realize how unsafe BTU is? If you run a Bitcoin Unlimited node, shut it down now. If you don't you present a threat to the network.

EDIT: Here is the line in main.cpp requiring asserts be active for a live build. This was incorrectly claimed to only apply to debug builds. This is being added simply to clarify that is not the case. (Please do not flame the person who claimed this, he admitted he was in the wrong. He stated something he believed was correct and did not continue insisting it was so when presented with evidence. Be civil with those who interact with you in a civil way.)

https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/5zdkv3/bitcoin_unlimited_remote_exploit_crash/

Doesn't look good for bitcoin unlimited.

Imagine what would have happened if this exploit had been released later & if all the BU supporters could have moved their bitcoin to BU.

All their btc would be worthless now.

This was/is hilarious, but it was much asshole to release this in a public forum, ESP Reddit, which has heaps more exposure than here. They had a field day with this, nodes starting going down left and right as people started to test this exploit for themselves (and you know someone was like 'let me make a script!' because people spend time and energy on the damndest shit).

But, this is pretty shitshowian, I guess it's for the best this came out like this, instead of an actual malicious attack with no preamble.
1599  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you think there is a world government. on: March 15, 2017, 04:43:38 AM
Yes there is.

It is a mixed government formed by 5 countries. They are USA, Russia, China, France and United Kingdom.

In other words; the world is being ruled by the permanent members of NATO.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Permanent_members_of_the_United_Nations_Security_Council

Germany is out because they did some silly things in the past. Whenever they make too much sound, those 5 will make them remember. :p

I can't agree with you on this. While I will admit there are global shared priorities, we can all agree that the US, China and Russia are obviously not on the same page, at least at the moment. The US, France and UK are a different story (we share intelligence with them, they are certainly not a threat). But a cold day in hell when the US shares intelligence with China. I would say that about Russia, but under the current administration, I'm not so sure.
1600  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trumps Travel Ban? (Round 2) on: March 15, 2017, 04:23:27 AM
President Donald Trump plans on the travel ban is not done randomly but there are major economic reasons behind it. Trump in his one month of being a president has lessen the debt of America by 12 billion dollars compared to Obama who increased the debt of America by 200 million dollars in his first month. By looking at this fact we can determine that the travel ban was a part of Trumps plan whose after effects is the continues increase in US dollars value recently.

The reduction in federal debt was an amazing and unbelievable achievement. Check the link below for the proof from the treasury department:

https://www.treasurydirect.gov/NP/debt/search?startMonth=01&startDay=20&startYear=2017&endMonth=02&endDay=21&endYear=2017

But the media refused to cover it, as a result of their hatred towards Trump.

Oh no, the media certainly covered it. It just wasn't the accomplishment that the right wing media made it out to be. Observe:

http://www.snopes.com/media-silence-national-debt-trump/

I could point out multiple mainstream sources, but nah. And just wait for Trumpcare to strike. Those numbers are going to look mundane after we take the tax brunt of these wonderful reductions the wealthy will experience. And I'm not even talking about actually income tax cuts, just Trumpcare. We won't even discuss corporate and elite actor tax reductions under the Trump administration.

Drain the swamp indeed.
