I still have 5 rigs of RX gpus I dont know if i should swicht those to mining BTG directly or move them to nicehash , I still need to download the claymore miner for all those and get them set up so might as well strategize properly
any thoughts ?
how many sols do you have on nicehash now? and how many sols would the five rigs do? i have 25k sols right now, from my 4 card vega rig my 7 1080tis and 42 1070s I have six rigs 7 to 6 rx 500 cards and 4 rigs of fury nanos that i am trying to get setup for zcash wish i had listen to citronik and set them up at 280 sols per card around 24k sols if i get the nanos setup too those Nanos can push 390-420 sol/s per card -- so let them join the fun! looks like I have to completly blow away the blockchain drivers and re-install also now i remebver why i stopped mining ZEC before when Zcash came out, the claymore miner is crazy unstable on 50% of my rigs , constant reboots , its not a power issue becase most of these rigs were dual mining eth and DCR which used more power , I hate this miner many good ZEC miners out there, my fav is Optiminer v1.7 under smOS -- very stable under Linux good thing i got a nap in earlier you were right nanos are strong equihash miners 440 hs with 100mv undervolt, its a long proccess downgrading the drivers though, going forward i think ill just leave them on equhash , seems to use alot less power toool even less than ny modded bios All my Nanos -- 45 of them are modded with Heliox (aka Eliovp) ROMs - tamed at 100mv. The were king during the early ETH days with R-390s but Nanos are blessed with HBM v1 thats why its a good Equihash miner. Now VEGAs also wth HBM v2..... how do they fare in Equihash? I heard nothing but bad press.... but strong in Cryptonite algo. That is too much money for HBM v2 only for strong Cryptonte mining.... Pretty sure I read somewhere the Vegas push 500-ish sol/s in Equihash. Nothing spectacular but still quite decent if that info is to be believed. Ihave a few vegas and they do around 500 ish sols , not sure on how to tune them for more, this is all srock settings yeah but.... my 1070 Mini (not ti) can already do 550 sol/s easy with minuscule power.... and 1070 $ is cheaper than Vega$ yeah the zotac mini is a good card but i don't think it does 550 sols? I can't get any 1070 to do 550 sols yeah i have some zotac minis i bought back when they were $340 ish and they do 420 sols max and thats pushing the power limit on them which i hate to do. my super star 1070s , some zotac and ftw cards can get 470 h/s with 75 percent power never pushed any nvidia card past 75

solo mining doesnt help u if one huge pool like suprnova is on one fork and you are solo mining on another , they way consensua works is all your work would be invalidated
SOLO mining means I have MINE OWN FULL NODE, that MY NODE was up and running BEFORE SUPRNOVA.CC Do U know what solo mining means?? It doesn't mean a proxy to suprnova.cc, it means I'm not using a mining pool. Here are there, only good first few hours luck went from hours to days to years fairly quickly *** I agree with you, but suprnova.cc was the last to go online today, I concur its now game-over, the window didn't last long, I was just curious if others played this game of being ready to solo-mine before the big pools?? I know what the hell solo mining is but theres no way you could have found any blocks the first 8k blocks were premined by the devs , the window you are talking about is beyond minuscule

Prices have dropped alot on nicehash , its actually more profitable to mine directly now

I will post info on them on monday. ok sounds good thanks , been busy all weekend working on getting the nvidia rigs set up this month could save the year for me , leggooooo!

Vegas now on nicehash 550 h/s on zcash not checked the wattge though

I tell you man.... as predicted everyone lining up their rented hash to mine the shit out of that BTG. As long as I get BTC upfront - I don't mine staying at NH and milking it. I have seen this many times before, when FOMO sets in, people go to MRR and NH and pay huge premiums to mine that new coin. Its gambling - they hope to acquire these coins at lower early bird diff level hoping that coin value exceeds the amount they paid to rent the hash. yeah my 24000 sols is at 400 a day ! i think im moving my vegas to nice hash as well lol this is crazy !

Nicehash price is rising 24k sols is now paying 135 or so
I bet when the premine ends and mining begings for real we will see tripple these prices
yeah thats in line with what I see
Premining going on... this is stupid yeah i noticed that on the block explorer around 8000 coins premining, why didnt they do this before launch

did u guys saw suprnova testnet hashrate before 7pm? like 17m sols all this retards payed nicehash for testnet mining haha can be that many sols there no way
Hmm , suprnova page is down , hopefully only changing to mainnet and not ddos / overload Is it on purpose ddos or just too many users
figures suprnova crashing lol

Btw I kept defending them but I'm actually quite fed up with suprnova now. I'm pretty certain they're skimming. ETN is just another example. Calculators estimate 30-40% more than what I effectively made over at Suprnova. Ofc I cannot prove it as long as I don't run rigs in parallel, but I'm just accumulating bad experiences.
You're not alone. I have wondered about that for some time now. I never seem to make as much on that pool as any of the others even though they usually have the highest amount of hashing power on a given coin. I only use them if there is not another pool that run the coins I am interested in. Is there another pool out there where one will be able to mine BTG without a wallet? This is one of the features I actually like about Suprnova. Yup same here I dont want to deal with the wallet madness for at least a week until things calm down
