1683  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Xapo Faucet List with hacks/get 10$ in free Bitcoin sign up on: July 28, 2015, 08:14:27 PM
I registered with the referral, and got the 'gold' credited to my account (.25g or about $8.81), but when you seek to redeem in btc it says only 'coming soon.'

So NO, you cannot withdraw with BTC.

Edit: Ok I see OP said there is a 120 minute waiting period. I will go back and check in a couple hours.

You have any news ? And who have receuived a free 0,25 gram of gold, have withdraw (in bitcoin or another method) ?

My bonus 0.25g of gold (US$8.81) is in the 'pending' status. If you click there, it tells you "This transaction is subject to our 60 day bonus gold holding period and will process during this time."

Also, the bitcoin withdrawal option is labelled "Coming Soon."

Wasted my time I guess ... OP is misleading at best.

Luckyflop,eu doesn't require a download, and is running regular freeroll tournaments. Action is a bit slow as they try to develop a player base, but you might want to check it out. They run a nice 500 chip (half btc) freeroll every Sunday I believe.
1686  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your first bitcoins came from.. (faucets aside) on: July 24, 2015, 12:52:34 AM
Made my first whole bitcoin via grinding btc poker sites. Since then I've made most of my coin via trading btc, either trading coins directly on an exchange or with various derivative instruments.
1687  Economy / Securities / Re: What you guys call "an investment in a gambling website" on: July 24, 2015, 12:47:08 AM
I was reading in here the topic where would you put 1 BTC and many people wrote

I would invest in a gambling website.

Investing like in real life , just depositing money there and getting a piece of the cut or just playing casino?
I hope its not the second part of the question ,otherwise you are all f up. Shocked

By 'invest' they mean to buy an ownership stake in a gambling website, and 'be the house.'

Now, I don't know whether that is more or less risky than just playing online slots. I guess it depends on whether you know what you are doing - i.e. how to manage an online gambling site, etc. If you are not bringing anything to the investment table other than capital, then I'll bet your odds are better playing slots.
1688  Economy / Securities / Re: i want to create a fund to buy agricultural land in Romania on: July 24, 2015, 12:43:24 AM
Investing in Romanian farmland sounds interesting. Doing it online via bitcoin sounds ... kinda dumb. If I wanted to invest in Romanian farmland I would only due so after moving to Romania for a while and researching where the possible deals are, and how I would manage them post purchase. Wouldn't involve you in any way Op ... and that is not personal. Just investment common sense ...
1689  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Coinut.com - The only Bitcoin Options Exchange on: July 21, 2015, 09:36:30 PM
Vanilla options, I've started playing with them today, and I have this question:

Does the margin formula provide for a maximum maintenance margin of 0.004 btc? Or does the (-out of the money portion) turn positive when the option is in-the-money?

I'm short some out-of-the-money contracts, and wondering how high my maintenance margin could go if the market moves against me.

Currently my margin requirement is about 0.0033 per contract. Can that rise to more than .004 under normal circumstances?
1690  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Coinut.com - The only Bitcoin Options Exchange on: July 21, 2015, 02:02:10 AM

Nobody is manually controlling it to make it up or down. It's the program itself that detects BTC-e.com is up or not. There is no manipulation here. You may have bought some puts so you complain here. But what if you have bought some calls? Everyone is experiencing the same problem. But this is  much better than using only one exchange, which then becomes a single point FAILURE.

The ideal solution, and the only real long-term solution, is to use a robust, respected third party index. Yes, you will likely have to pay some licensing fee, but it will raise the legitimacy of your product and help you grow volume. I work with some professional hedge fund managers ... and they wouldn't take this 'exchange' seriously until you've made these types of upgrades. You might look to add someone to your team who has direct experience launching & managing new products on a derivatives exchange. I know Singapore Exchange has been struggling to launch a number of contracts over the years ... some have gained traction while most have floundered. Still, the experience people gain developing and launching those products might be valuable to you.

Ideas are cheap, I know ... lol.
1691  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So we can get paid BTC for searching on Bing? on: July 21, 2015, 01:41:18 AM
Not sure if this was made clear at some point in the thread, but I just got an e-mail from Tango to confirm:

A Tango Card CANNOT be redeemed for bitcoin at this time. So no, I don't think one can easily convert Bing searches into bitcoin.

Tango is a service targeted at retailers ... so they want to promote shopping by the sheep. As expected ...

*Yeah, I posted that and THEN reviewed the whole thread. I guess everyone figured out, Bing Rewards are not easily converted to bitcoin yet. Still, you get the sense it is right around the corner. The application just makes too much sense.
1692  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: BTC for Jesus on: July 20, 2015, 05:30:21 PM
will be monitoring this thread VERY closely with six of my heads in case OP is trying to do anything funny and scam Jesus.

Glad you will be. As I said, I am assuming nobody will join me and all of my hashing power will come out of my own Tithe money, but thats fine.

If you want to help out and join the cause - great! If not, no worries.

Well, Jesus is dead, so it is definitely a scam. Why would anyone raise money for some dead guy? At least he's straight up about it, unlike all the other scams on this site ...
1693  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: The Curious Case of Burt's Bitcoin...and how it may apply to you on: July 19, 2015, 07:07:48 PM
Special Agent Arran McWhirter and/or his minions are trolling Bitcointalk looking for more civil forfeiture booty (see link). Apparently they have some odd fixation on raiding little girl's bedrooms and stealing their birthday money.

1694  Economy / Services / Re: Need someone in the US that can buy a large amount of BTC for me. Make $10,000. on: July 19, 2015, 06:59:34 PM
There was a lot of snarky negativity aimed at the OP here, without a lot of specifics. So I'll be specific.

Op is Law Enforcement fishing for Civil Forfeiture booty. For background, see the BurtW thread below. LE raids little girl's bedroom for her birthday checks, later dropping the charges, but keeping the booty.

What does LE need to make this work? They need a US target ('perpetrator') in order to ensure jurisdiction and enforceability. And they need to prove recurring transactions of US$1,000 or above.

Amateur hour at the Postal Service, aka Homeland Security. US residents need to steer clear.

It's a poker freeroll joke.

1696  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: FUCK YOU! Primedice.com | Most Popular Bitcoin Scammers & Trusted by Who? on: July 16, 2015, 08:13:03 PM
For anyone playing these dice sites, and particularly those attempting to use martingale, I would suggest you play around with a streak calculator like the one at the link:

http://www.sportsbookreview.com/betting-tools/streak-calculator/

For example if you roll the dice 200 times, with a loss probability of 49%, there is a 76.3% chance of running into a streak of six loses. A streak of six losses is highly probable.

And still we get people posting here about how the laws of mathematics are somehow scamming people.

Buddy, please. Lets play some hold'em poker. :-)
1697  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitcoinPoker.gg - High Stakes. High Rewards - Secure Bitcoin Poker on: July 16, 2015, 08:06:28 PM
There is simply not enough players right now. Traffic has fallen off the cliff now that summer is in full swing. As much as I like the platform, and enjoyed playing here, hard to see it coming back unless the owners (or somebody) takes a leap of faith and pours money into promotion. As a business advisor I would say that would not be a smart thing to do. As a poker play I'm tempted to say ... bring it! Lol ...

None of this is a reflection on the platform or owners. Market conditions are simply stark ...
1698  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinut, Your Experience? on: July 16, 2015, 02:57:06 PM
I'm looking for some honest feedback about  Coinut.com.

If you've used them please give me your experience.

Hi,

Coinut is an Options Exchange (probably the only). Never had any trouble or issues with them. Had used them pretty much a few months back, and sometimes even now.

This is the Ceo's link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=14002

Hope that helps Smiley
ndnhc

Yes, Andy is on the Coinut thread pretty consistently and I've found him to be engaged with customers, and with trying to build his site. So, I would characterize their customer support as 'top of the line.'
1699  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinut, Your Experience? on: July 16, 2015, 02:55:28 PM
Deposits and withdrawals are prompt and reliable. Business regulation, particularly finance, in Singapore is VERY tight, I would consider them 'reliable' even though they were launched less than one year ago.

That said, Coinut and the btc options market is quite new, and Coinut continues to tweak its product suite in order to appeal to the widest audience. I'm a directional trader so there are times when I've sunk my entire 'roll' into positions at Coinut, and times I've completely withdrawn my account because I couldn't find an attractive trade.

If you like to trade/gamble, the 30-min contracts might be fun for you. They are not really my thing.

If at first glance Coinut's binary and/or vanilla options look interesting to you, I would definitely recommend you open an account and make some token trades to get a feel for the platform and products.
1700  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Coinut.com - The only Bitcoin Options Exchange on: July 16, 2015, 02:31:03 PM
Andy,

Take a look at short positions in btc at Bitfinex. If you have an account there you can access this statistic real time. I don't have my account open at the moment, but there are typically ~20,000 btc shorted there, most of it on a long-term basis. Fair to assume many of these are miners hedging their future production - large customers who maintain long-term positions. (Do Chinese miners also hedge on some of the Chinese exchanges? I'm not sure ...)

You should be able to offer a better hedging vehicle, i.e. call option alternative that is cheaper (better value) than borrowing btc and shorting at bitfinex. At bitfinex miners must deposit US$ and then pay to borrow btc in order to short. Now on your platform they would need to deposit and hold additional btc, a drawback, but by hedging via short calls, these minors would be saving money I'm thinking. Over time they would benefit from premium decay. Of course the longer-horizon contracts you offer, the better. And because of their volume sales, I would expect they would drive prices down to attractive levels, attracting positional traders like myself. THAT is your golden ticket: customers trading with customers, with market makers relegated to filling in the gaps.

You should run a hypothetical miner's portfolio and compare hedging cost on Coinut vs. Bitfinex. If you can make a compelling case for offering a better hedging vehicle for miner's prospective income streams, and you advertise THAT, you can steal Bitfinex' business here.

Anyway, ideas are a dime-a-dozen I know. Execution is always toughest ... lol.
