1701  Economy / Speculation / Re: The pump isn't coming sooner on: November 04, 2022, 10:47:02 PM
I believe that the future of crypto currency is strong and big, I am a long term investment myself but...

There are many posts on this forum saying the crypto bear market is over, some are already saying that a pump is coming.

The truth is they don't know what's coming, bear market can last longer than they think, it will get to the point where many will give up or about to give up before things start changing.

Some holders will get bored and tired.

Some will even start believing that crypto is dead.

We haven't even get to that point yet.
The weak hands will end up quitting, while the strong hands continue to believe and chose to just be patient while waiting for the bullish season. Though it’s not happening sooner but the fact that bitcoin halving will be here by 2024, I guess that’s enough reason not to lost hope and still tighten our faith because in the end, we will see a rainbow after the rain.
1702  Economy / Economics / Re: 5 things you should not do with your money to get rich on: November 04, 2022, 09:30:15 PM
Some of the worst ways to quote on this thread's first page. Quoting an entire OP that is this voluminous is just something that shouldn't be done. Should the whole thread be of reference, we are already in the thread and quoting might be unnecessary and should it becomes necessary, just a snip would do.

Looking at the details in the OP and the subject of the thread, I thought more about the thread describing ways of making sme false or bad investments but instead, its about bad spending habits.

Don't Invest Suddenly. This is where it makes sense. I'll say, don't invest in a trade you've got no idea about. Either you seek professional knowledge or you take the time to study the trade yourself.
Equip yourself first with basic knowledge and skills needed to invest in crypto, before you decide to jump on the next level which is investing. And always study all the background of the crypto coins, their price chart and their moves in the market, so you will know what are the promising coins to invest. And when you’re done with them, now it’s about time to take the risk in investing but always invest on an amount you can afford to lose.
1703  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the bear market over? on: November 04, 2022, 09:14:38 PM
"Is the bear market over? Hard to say, but a lot of the bad news was priced in. With a maximum drawdown of -28%, SPX discounted 85% of a typical 33% market decline and 78% of a recession bear market. I still like the 1946 counterpart-"
We can only answer for cypto though, and the answer is that we are still in the bear market, and we are not even in the center of it. We still have the whole 2023, for a long and hard grind and we still might see some altcoin projects not surviving or barely arrived, -95% down or even the most is 99%.

And so we will have to wait in 2024, at least that year we will see the catalyst for the whole crypto market to go on a bull season, it's the bitcoin block halving.

We can only tell if the market has already turned bullish when all the coins are experiencing 20% consistent price increase. And since it’s not yet happening, so obviously we are still at the bearish market. And anything could always be possible like seeing bitcoin bottom prices in the next days to come. However, knowing bitcoin halving is set to happen, then definitely bullish season will take over the market and see all the good coins increasing their value.
1704  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: investment in bitcoin should be short term or long term. on: November 04, 2022, 08:53:48 PM
i am a newbie in bitcoin, and i plan to buy bitcoin,, and will invest in bitcoin, and i want to ask everyone? if investing in bitcoin is it better short term or long term??? but in my opinion, long-term investment is better, but what do you think?
Long term investment will always be better than short term even if you go for established altcoins in the market. That way, you won’t be affected with price fluctuations because you have set your long term goal, and you only have to sell not in the start, not at the middle, but definitely when your investment is at its highest peak. And the best way to achieve it is through with bitcoin.
1705  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin - How high can it go? on: November 04, 2022, 06:35:28 PM
I currently have 3% of a Bitcoin having started dollar cost averaging in June after the crash.

It is not a lot but it is slowly growing and I have many other Altcoins I am invested in so can't put everything into Bitcoin.

I am wondering what everyone thinks this the price of Bitcoin can realistically get to? $100k? $250k? $500k? $1m?

I am happy holding Bitcoin for the next 10 years or more if it reaches these prices above.

I am just debating if I should continue to DCA into Bitcoin or sell all and put into stronger altcoins which will see better ROI over the next few years.

Bitcoin has proven its high profitability a lot of times so you should never doubt it and continue to do DCA because it’s the right thing to do. And to think that it’s value always seen increasing in time, then there are really high chances that it could reach above $100k and beyond. But telling what future price in particular, no one can tell about it. Bitcoin has always high volatility, so it never gives fixed and certain price as always.
1706  Economy / Economics / Re: Can One Get Rich or At least Not go Broke During a Recession? on: November 03, 2022, 10:06:33 PM
Recession is coming and we know it. In some places it is staring us right in the face. Unemployment, rising cost of living, increasing food prices, falling stocks etc are some of the negative effects associated with recession. Despite this seemingly bad news, Warren Buffet said “In short, bad news is an investor’s best friend”. And another quote by someone goes thus "millionaires are made during a recession". I have been recently laid-off work due to the recent economic crisis in my country. I do not want to see this as a bad thing. So I ask what hidden opportunities does this recession offer? How can one take opportunity of the recession to become rich or at least not go broke?

For people who have been saving funds before they lose their jobs, that would even open some door of opportunities like investing in crypto or in real assets that would likely to gain huge profits in the future. But for some who are less fortunate and who only depend their income from their jobs with no extra savings, one might hardly to recover and might stuck being broke for long time. The reason why we should not just depend on one single source of income, have a side job too so that when recession comes, and you lose your main job, you will still surely survive and won’t end up being broken.
1707  Other / Archival / Re: I don't want to buy cheap bitcoins, I want to buy expensive ones on: November 03, 2022, 08:52:40 PM
Years pass, cycles pass, but nothing changes. Cheesy

I wonder how much longer it will take for people to realize that low prices are a CHANCE to buy, not some kind of disappointment. Instead of taking this chance, they are burying bitcoin. Instead of taking profits or enjoying an increase in the value of their assets, they start buying. They buy at the top of the market, and then they say that bitcoin is a pyramid scheme and a scam. Now I am talking to some people IRL, who are also interested in cryptocurrencies.

I ask: Have you already bought bitcoin?
Answer: No. I'll wait until he recovers.
The best time to build wealth in the market is definitely not on a bullish season but it’s always on a market being bearish. As they’ve said, this is the best entry so you can maximize your expected profits when the market turns already into bullish. But this is what newbies are thinking. Instead, they come in the market when everything is good and profitable expecting that the price of bitcoin will eventually go further. And when the price suddenly crash, they end up panic selling and blame bitcoin for their huge losses. If that will always be the mindset of new investors, they cannot expect to get rich with bitcoin.
1708  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling techniques on: October 31, 2022, 07:42:03 PM
First of all let's keep in mind that in gambling there are not real techniques like in games of luck which we play for example, dice, roulette and slots. There is no real strategy or technique that can increase our chances dramatically.

Having said that I am a slot player and will leave my "technique" here which is choose a game provider that gives more often than other providers the bonus round and also has an hit frequency of 35% or up,this way you will play longer and have more chances to win.In certain casinos this can also be useful for upgrading to the next level and unlock rewards faster.
To be honest, I only gamble for entertainment purposes and never to earn a living so I never have special techniques to follow nor to adopt to increase the chances of winning. But of course, I always hope for the best and see myself winning regardless if the game is luck based or not. However, if we can chose to play in casinos that offer more promotions and bonuses, that will be better so we can be more enthusiastic to gamble even if it’s for fun.
1709  Economy / Gambling / Re: Any experiences with mrSloty.com ? on: October 31, 2022, 07:16:05 PM
How did you find this bookie/casino? I think I've never heard about this site before, I did a quick look the site but I dont see it as a good site. Some people post a link of their review in trustpilot, although I dont use trustpilot because I dont trust them but I think if there are many similar complaints about long waiting of withdrawal, it is a warn for others to stay away. By the way, why do you want to know about them? Are you interested to use this site or do you have any other reason?
This site is also new to me, and I don’t take risks engaging in new sites as far as money is concern. However, if you heard that withdrawals take a lot of days in order to claim it, then definitely its a red flag for all gamblers. You should never trust those type of sites, instead go for those reputable sports bookies listed here in the gambling boards. That way, you time and money won’t go into waste.
1710  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are five things you will do if you win huge amount of money?? on: October 31, 2022, 06:45:12 PM
I will answer when I hit big  Grin, but yeah my dream is to win big in the beginning,of course when we win a lot of money as they say "money makes you look smarter, prettier, bolder and everything better than without money".

I try to build this dream every week but so far I have always failed miserably and most likely I will continue to do so for some time to come, winning huge is something that happens extremely rarely and usually not to people who are asking for it but to lucky ones.
Well, you only get to win huge amount of money of course if you also bet a large amount, otherwise you will only see small winnings if you are just a small wager. But to be honest, if I win big, these will be my target:

1. Save for my children’s education
2. Buy a house
3. Invest in bitcoin
4. Treat my family, my parents and siblings
5. Donate a portion of money to charity

1711  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it really possible to quit on these reasons on: October 31, 2022, 06:21:42 PM
You can when you won a huge amount
There's a discussion here of a guy who won a huge amount but added that he is quitting gambling is it really possible, anyone here have done quitting after winning a huge amount

You can when you lose a huge amount
This is the most popular reason to quit have you done this only to come back

You can anytime you want
Do you have the power to do it anytime that you want.

You have to when you're wife tells you to
I know a lot of guys who quit gambling for good after their wives tell them to, do you know of someone, or at one time you are one of them.

Let's discuss this and thank you for participating.

You can actually quit anytime you want because you are responsible of your own life so you have to pick choices that you think will benefit yourself and not the other people around. Although gambling is still a choice, but quitting from it is also a good choice especially if you think gambling has never been entertaining at all and all you’ve got are just losses and frustrations. Just quit and engage yourself into other profitable things like investing and trading.
1712  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🎵 What kind of music do you listen when you gamble? 🎶🎧 on: October 31, 2022, 05:49:04 PM

The Winner Takes It All by ABBA.
i don't see it having difference whether there is background music or not. but i'd write it anyway because when it comes to gambling this song always comes in my mind. losing more money is like no more ace to play. this is kind of a gamblers song actually when you read the message on the lyrics. not all sort of a love song.
I have often listened to this song but i never realized it was all for gambling. But anyway, I definitely love this song and some other songs of ABBA not only when I gamble but even when i’m into reminiscing moments. Because most likely, when I gamble I want to hear the songs of 1980’s and 1990’s hits like Scorpions and Cinderella. They just keep me going with gambling.
1713  Economy / Gambling / Re: I won 1500 dollars on a ufc fight + quit gambling on: October 30, 2022, 09:58:30 PM
I decided to bet big today on allen orland made around 1500 usd in profit today. On a  fight.

Knew for sure he is gonna win.

Last week i made 9000 dollar in accideny. I. Hugd profit decide to quit gambling until 2023.

Here proof that im real man and i won:

https://www.loom.com/share/d2ca1feee9c44509a7b12ecfad85936b

First, congratulation on your win it sure is a reason to celebrate and brag about it, but I doubt you are going to quit, the temptation to continue playing or bet in the future like a week or month from now is very tempting, you will always remember your winning and once you see a fight or a game that you think will give you a chance to win I'm sure you're going to go for it, never say never I read and heard it a thousand times before.
You maybe have a good luck on winning such a huge amount, congrats. But if you say quitting from gambling completely, that will be very hard to do if are used to be a gambler since you will always be tempted to bet again every time you see chances to make good profits. However, quitting is also a choice. You can chose to never go gambling at all once you have already committed to it and you already have found something that will steal your time and attention.
1714  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You think they might cheat at a televised poker table... on: October 30, 2022, 09:45:28 PM
Commenting on the general topic of whether it is possible to cheat in a televised game, i would say that cheating is possible anywhere, the whole decision lies on the player to decide whether to cheat or not, and the state of the surrounding is what will cause the player whether to cheat or not.
Even football players cheat in the middle of a match if the y get the chance, not minding the hundreds of thousands of viewers present there and those watching through televised means.
So indeed, that a poker table is televised does not in any way deter players from cheating if they get the chance to, it all depends on morals and ethics of the players individually.
Once a cheater, most probably, in all games you will really find good timing to cheat, regardless if the game is televised or not. Because that is already running in your mind, so you find some means to make it happen. However, if he or she is a responsible player, the that player will always do the right thing, the one that will not ruin his/her own reputation in gambling. After all, cheating is a choice, it can be totally stopped if you chose to continue it for more chances of winning illegally.
1715  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A lottery's defense to not paying a huge winning. on: October 30, 2022, 09:30:16 PM
...What do you really think of the lottery company and is there any chance for them to winning the case and not paying the winner?
I think attacking the winner and accusing him of irregular activities is just their way of saving face. The lottery company tried to compromise and asked to pay the winner with a lesser amount. That alone should tell us that they know they did something wrong or that their system was messed up. Let's leave the result of the case to the court.
If the lottery company has its valid reasons and that the player has bet illegally, then the court will favor them. But if the court find out that the lottery itself has done something that is against the rules, then it’s a clear manifestation that the lottery company is not performing legally, so they should be given proper sanction on it and might be even force to closure once proven guilty. However, the player has also the right to claim his huge winning after the lottery company has proven guilty.
1716  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Crypto Gambling this year? on: October 30, 2022, 09:15:17 PM
A crypto casino or crypto gambling refers to using your cryptocurrency at a casino. In crypto gambling, digital money, such as cryptocurrency, is used as a betting medium. You can use cryptocurrencies to deposit money into your gambling account and to withdraw money in cryptocurrencies.

Top Five Cryptocurrency  Gambling site for this year according to Men's Journal
1. BitStarz

2. mBitCasino

3. CloudBet

4. 7bit Casino

5. Fortune Jack

What do you think the best gambling site ? Let's talk about it

I cannot give the best gambling site since we have different experiences on playing from that certain casino sites. For me, it may work but maybe for others, these sites were really not impressive at all. So most likely, each of us has our own preference when it comes to gambling, and the one best for your might not be very good and reliable for me. Although what you’ve mentioned are good OP, but I find other casino sites more reliable and reputable than them.
1717  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling house responisbilty to protect people data on: October 30, 2022, 08:58:39 PM
That's ideal but maybe it depends on each casino's policy and if the casino really wants to reveal the identity of the person who won big, the casino should ask the winner first. And if the winner feels that it is not necessary, the casino should not disclose it to the public and only provide the letters of the winner's name or lottery number.

Perhaps if the winner feels that this could put him at risk by revealing his identity, he can file a complaint with his casino and if necessary, he can try to seek recourse to the courts. But it's best to resolve it amicably because this is between the winner and the casino.
The winner might file a complaint but I think that will be not necessary at all since it will only waste a lot of money and time. They can always settle it more privately than going in a court which will only bring hassle on each part. However, the casino should never go against with the privacy of the winner too, they should always respect it for the safety and security of the player. And I think whenever you are playing in reputable casinos, they are also responsible on following the rules and policies between the casino and the player.
1718  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reasons Why We Prefer Online Casinos to Land-based Casinos on: October 29, 2022, 09:57:35 PM
Another reason I could add there is "you'd have less chances of getting infected with covid" since thousands of cases are still being reported in several countries and even though we have solutions it's better to go play online than to risk getting the virus.
I agree, health and safety guaranteed indeed.

If you can't stop yourself to gamble, the best option is to stay at home and just gamble with those crypto casinos that you know and you're good doing it while at home.

The covid virus is still there and unlikely to be eradicated and will be with us until it becomes a normal flu and there's already a vast number of medicine that can easily cure it.
Obviously, we can never get rid of these viruses any more because when one virus is gone, the other variant comes in. So it’s better just to stay at home and just enjoy gambling at your own pace with safety and high comfortability. Although some still prefer land based casinos especially now that new normal is here, but I believe your health concerns is more precious and definitely greater than the profits you’ll be getting out from gambling.
1719  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk is one of the keys to be 100k$ per Bitcoin? on: October 29, 2022, 09:36:45 PM
I do absolutely believe that Elon Musk has a major role in the price of Bitcoin reaching $100k. His social media presence and influence is proof that when he sends out a couple of Tweets people pay attention.
People also saw the price of Tesla stocks rising creating more believers and reaching more followers. His role in the crypto market has a huge impact on many of his followers that invest in Tesla.
When Elon Musk rumored that Tesla would accept Bitcoin as a means of purchasing, it was the moment I believe catapulted him in front of a new and broader audience.
Elon Musk will always be an effective crypto influencer regardless of how the people see him negatively. He’s intelligent, smart and definitely wise in all of his decisions. So it’s not surprising why even just from a single move from Elon, or just simply making a tweet about bitcoin, bitcoin price instantly create a good price increase, and most particularly with Tesla news to accept bitcoin in the past. Elon Musk though not completely good for bitcoin maybe because of his hidden desires, but it’s undeniable that he can easily create a hype for bitcoin effortlessly.
1720  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bear market Survivals on: October 29, 2022, 09:11:15 PM
Any coin that survives this bear market will do well come the bull season

That’s the main point that many should focus on . But sadly no major altcoin other than ETH seems to be surviving. When the big boss Bitcoin is struggling, how can these even move up in the graph? People are afraid to buy Bitcoins in this bear market, so definitely they might have forgotten the altcoins. Nevertheless we should keep a watch on the top 10 coins at coinmarketcap. These coins have great marketcap and will definitely rise in the next bull run. Let’s hope for positivity in every aspects.
Even most of the top 10 coins in the marketcap cannot give us an assurance that they will always be profitable and reach their new ATH when bull run comes. So probably, let’s just focus more on bitcoin and ethereum for long term hodling as they will eventually skyrocket again when bullish market is here. Although we can always invest with the rest of the coins but never expect too much price increase from them as they will just follow whatever the path of bitcoin takes.
