1701  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Success or Fail? - Talking about Gambling as a major income on: October 24, 2023, 09:40:38 AM
Honestly every gambler loses control of money, but don't lose control so much, try to connect yourself.
A gambler will realize this when he's got nothing left anymore. You tell them that they shouldn't lose their control and sanity but you'll see that they won't hear you when they're at the peak of their feelings and activity.

Whether you want them to tell to recover only emotionally and not with the losses, if that's their major income and salary comes from gambling. You can't stop them because they'll have troubles in their daily living.

With that, they have to recover and won't mind what people say to them about control and failures because they only have the same mindsets and that's to win and take back money.

I fully agree with you, a gambler that is in the middle of a serious gambling session is not going to take advice and immediately react to it. Especially for someone who has gambled for many years it’s going to be hard to change your habits and listen to others. I have been in such situations myself and it's really hard to accept any outside opinions as I was so euphoric in the situations. It's hard to argue rational after the gambling evening, because everything feels so different when in the casino and enjoying the rush and excitement of the games and the atmosphere. During a losing session it would make a lot of sense to just take a break and step away from the games. Better to keep the rest of our money and try again the next day. And this was for me not even taking gambling that seriously, now imagine someone that looks at gambling as his job requires to make a profit to pay his bills. This would be too much pressure for me and I don’t think that many people can sustain such a high energy lifestyle for long. So, not only profitability for a full-time gambler is important, also how healthy his lifestyle is and if he can maintain it for a longer period of time.
That's based on experience and we all knew about that. There's no other better approach when we're losing but to stop and go away from any gambling.

We will only realize the hardest part when we can't pick anything anymore on our balances and that's the sign that tells us to stop and go away from that moment or else you'll have to suffer more consequences if you don't take a rest.
1702  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Urgent Help] Please legit check the platform Idexop.vip on: October 24, 2023, 08:01:40 AM
Now, I want to cash out some profits but the customer service won’t let me do it.

They asked me to deposit money (20% of my profit gain) in to the platform (they said this is for taxes on my capital gain), so that I could cash out my current assets in the platform.
Reading this, this is all I need to know.

That's a scam.

The exchange is unknown and made you look like you've won your trades and got you in profit. Now, that's the typical scam that happens, they will ask you to deposit first before they promise you to allow the withdrawal.

Just accept it that there's no real money that you've made on that platform and they're trying to scam you.

1704  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 23, 2023, 11:44:34 PM
Just one more sleep until NBA basketball kicks off. I think with the Damian Lillard trade the Bucks became the team to beat in the East and I think the pickup of Bradley Beal makes the Suns the team to beat in the West. I think the Warriors will have another good year along with the Celtics and Nuggets, but I think the Bucks take home the crown this year.
I just watched a video Giannis distributed his freak fives to his teammates and all that I've seen was determined faces and words like "we'll do great this season".

Lowkey words but I guess that you're right that they're likely to take the ring this year.

I can't wait for that to happen that although there have been a lot of trade rumors with Dame and he's now with the Bucks, Giannis surely want one as well for both of them.
1705  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Emotions dealing on: October 23, 2023, 10:47:34 PM
Do you think professional traders are never influenced by emotions? Everyone can make mistakes, anyone who loses money on a losing trade will worry about this, especially if the trader loses a large amount of money. Read the stories of traders, many of them lost huge amounts of money, this cannot be avoided even if you are a very experienced trader, and the greater the loss, the more emotions you will experience, I think that experience cannot influence this.
I agree.

Even the most professional traders have their own shortcomings and can be heavily influenced by their own emotions. They also know how it will go when they're into their emotions so they don't let that happen while they're doing their trades.

But, it's like a common mistake that many of us do, whether you are a professional or not. It's part of the trades that we do and all we need to do is to control it which is the hardest part IMO.
1706  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Changed the game you gamble on? share your story. on: October 23, 2023, 09:38:31 PM
Yeah, they're still the games that I play because I am familiar with them.

A lot of people I've seen do the same thing, they try to buy as many tickets as possible thinking that it may increase their chances of winning but when something is totally based on luck, there is no point in doing that. Just buy a small number of tickets and wait for the results to see if your luck worked or not.
It's a strategy and I always see people do that within the lotteries that I used to see with the directions that I am going. Those that are buying as many as they can thinking that they'll have more chances to hit some jackpots.

Not just jackpots though but also good amount of winnings. Some are successful in winning but most of them are not.
1707  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If someone holds 1 bitcoin in 2023, can he call himself rich ? on: October 23, 2023, 08:43:43 PM
If someone holds 1 bitcoin in 2023, can he call himself rich ?
That depends on the country you live at. If cost of living is high then the $30k/BTC isn't going to consider you rich. But in developing countries, that's a lot of money already.

If not, how many bitcoins holding is equal to being rich in your opinion ?
5-10 BTC?

If you consider yourself being rich with $100k+ of savings will you say that you're rich? It depends on what classification of yours for being rich. Someone can have a lot of properties and yet don't have bitcoin yet they're rich.
1708  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do you make money online? on: October 23, 2023, 03:39:31 PM
You can earn money online through various methods, including cryptocurrency mining and participating in ICO and IEO. Mining involves using your own computational power or cloud mining services that provide equipment on remote servers. ICO (Initial Coin Offering) and IEO (Initial Exchange Offering) offer opportunities to invest in new crypto projects. It's important to remember that the cryptocurrency sphere comes with risks, so it's essential to be cautious and well-informed when making decisions!  Wink
Cloud mining you say?

Most of them are scams so better don't get into them if you're just typically suggesting people to get on it. And speaking of ICO and IEO, they've been long overdue and gone in the market.

If you're still into them, they were once popular a few years ago but not anymore today and it's not worth it to invest to any of them anymore.
1709  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Lady Cried After Losing to Sports Bet. Gambling is Not Your Mate. on: October 23, 2023, 01:02:27 PM
That's what will happen when you're prepared to the outcome of your risk taking mate. Ladies have got weaker feeling on this one and their hearts are more fragile than us men.

We can take as much losses that we can while them, it seems that losing is a new thing to them. The mistake here is that she used the money that she needs for something else and it's likely an important matter.

I think you meant that’s what would happen when you’re NOT prepared for the outcome of a loss. I don’t think any of this has to do with weaker feelings or fragile hearts although your opinion on ladies having weaker feelings and fragile hearts is arguable.

There are cases of men who didn’t take the news of their losses well. Would we use one or two examples to come to a conclusion? I think It totally depends on the individual and how tolerant the individual is to receiving unfavorable news.
Yeah, you're right.

I've forgot to include the "NOT". Thanks for that but yeah.

Those that have weak hearts will just put it through that emotion and feeling that there's nothing they can do but to just cry and look at those losses as it pass and won't be back to theirs.

She obviously wasn’t expecting an outcome like this and couldn’t take the loss well.
Yeah, that's it. She's not prepared for it and she didn't thought that this is how heavy it will be.
1710  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 23, 2023, 10:26:43 AM
He better be careful because he's the main man for the Spurs now. Without him, all that promise they've shown might just go down the drain, and you know they'll start tanking for sure.

I think San Antonio knows it, and maybe they are going to put some programs for this kid and see how he will respond. Maybe going to the weight rooms with San Antonio strength trainer. He just need to put some muscles just to be able to go throughout the season.
They surely have programs that are already on its way for him to get developed based on the contract and stay that he's got. I'm sure that Spurs have already a long plan for this kid and this could be the new era for them which will be part of another championship for them.

It's still quite early to think of another championships but it's the goal everytime they have this kind of prodigy.

Also, the former legends of Spurs will surely give him some help to increase his muscle mass.
1711  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin were a physical currency. on: October 23, 2023, 09:28:36 AM
I'm new here and don't know much about bitcointalk forums. But I thought about Bitcoin for a while. At one point I wondered what it would be like if Bitcoin was a physical currency instead of a digital currency. It would not have gained so much popularity, and its price would not have increased so much. If it were a physical currency, it would be very difficult to buy, how would you buy? And had to go to different stores to sell or buy. How difficult it would have been then. Are you thinking about this?
We will never know but we've got some physical coins that has embedded with Bitcoin on it.

Maybe what we can compare it with are those typical investments and assets that we've got like the precious metals that are tangible as well and has got a good value, a store of value like gold.

It won't be different and difficult as long as there's a community and actual value that it projects.
1712  Other / Off-topic / Re: Apple latest products announcement and how does it uniquely differ on: October 23, 2023, 08:56:00 AM
I am not an apple user and I am planning to own one soon. I've been an android user for a very long time but I am starting to search, watch and read more reviews about apple products, coming from Iphones to MACs, etc.

I just want a new environment and one common reviews that I am seeing from that research of mine is about once a person goes into an apple product, you never go back.
1713  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you find yourself doing unnecessary purchases when there is plenty.. on: October 22, 2023, 11:49:22 PM
Yup.

I guess everyone does because we don't have to think of money and if we can afford it or not because the thing is, we can. I am guilty that I'm telling people, friends and family to live frugally but then this is my way of rewarding myself so I think that it should be fine.

Because the things that I think that are unnecessary purchases for me although not yet in used for now but maybe in the future like tools but most of the time, foods.

1716  Other / Off-topic / Re: The effects of the kind of music we listen to on: October 22, 2023, 07:55:15 PM
I agree about being a Christian and you should be dwelling into Christian music because it uplifts your soul.

About listening to music, I feel nostalgic when I hear music from the past and it reminds me of my youth and childhood. I can't stop but to reminisce those moments when life was too simple and easy going.

I guess just like everyone else who has a way to escape reality, music is one of it and I feel like I'm going back in the past by listening to those songs including those that are uplifting my spirit too.
1717  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 22, 2023, 06:49:26 PM
Andre Iguodala just retired. The guy has managed to get a lot of achievements during his entire 19 years NBA seasons of his career.

--> https://andscape.com/features/golden-state-warriors-forward-andre-iguodala-retires-its-just-the-right-time/

Do you think that his jersey is also going to be retired by the Golden State Warriors? I am pretty sure that Steph's will be but don't know about his.
Achievements and money without playing the game in his last few seasons.  Cheesy
Well, he became the Finals MVP of one of the Warriors championships so I think they will retire his jersey. I actually thought he would retire 2 years ago because he cannot contribute anymore but I guess the Warriors management does like him to be there with the team to fill them with positive vibes and some veteran perspective. Iggy will always be remembered for his defensive highlights in GSW.
His contributions are well appreciated by the team and even he's not that on the prime 2 years ago, he's better kept by them.

Iggy is one of the names that has established GSW's achievement on the league and whatever is his next endeavors, most of his fans are all in there to support him.

But I think Wemby will shine more just like what we are seeing in the pre-season games. He perhaps has given us a glimpse of what the future will be for him and the San Antonio Spurs. But assuming that both of them will be healthy this season? I think Wemby will have the edge for the ROTY award.
Chet didn't had a good start last season and this time he'll be more careful to his body. But I agree that if we're going to compare both of them and who's going to be likely healthier than the other, it's Wemby and although he's got more chance of getting that award. I'll wait more about the other rookies and many are interested with Heat's Jaime Jaquez Jr.
1718  Other / Off-topic / Re: Time is more important than money on: October 22, 2023, 05:32:07 PM
Watching videos :One should invest his time to watch videos. In this time, videos give more learning than reading.
I'm guilty on this one but who's guilty on this when you're spending your time in entertaining videos that's also sort of helping you to have some laugh?

Maybe there's a better approach about watching videos and we're all for those contents that are helping us grow like the common finance contents on different platforms.

I like watching those videos and I learn a lot from them but if you're saying that videos are better than reading. They have their own differences but don't say that reading is better than watching videos.

Both has their pros and cons but just take a look at the bookworms, most of them are smarter and have better memories than those that likes to consume their times watching videos, even by just watching it's also stressing nowadays.
1719  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Give Bitcoin investment time on: October 21, 2023, 09:49:45 PM
Bitcoin investment is not a getting Rich quick business, but to get rich in Bitcoin is sure as long you can hold for a long time
The people that are not yet into Bitcoin has this thinking, they think that those who have become successful in Bitcoin just managed to invest newly as if it seems like get rich quick scheme but it's not.

in other words people don't have patience when it comes investment, but rather them need it quick profits, which many people have lost money through ponzi scheme or trading investment platform that promise a certain percentage return profits and end up being scammed. Having said that, the best way of good return profits is long term holding of Bitcoin, given it time is very important.
Those that want to get rich quick should learn to manage their patience, it's not the way to go because the more you want it to be quick, the more you're making yourself vulnerable into higher risks.

You're right that they may fall into ponzi schemes which is typically happening to those that don't have patience at all. And those that are trying to trade, much better if you study that but it takes time and money as well so patience is still needed.
1720  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 21, 2023, 11:55:31 AM
Speaking of the Warriors, Wemby had a pretty nice highlight tonight swatting Klay Thompson and then getting a monster dunk on a fast break the other way. It was impressive.
Like what people are saying on social media, is he an alien? A few more years and development of his muscle, he's gonna be an absolute beast inside the court.

Yeah he is. I think the Spurs tanking for the season last year has paid off. Though some people has doubt this kid's ability in the NBA, but I don't think he's a bust. With that height and skills he'd be unstoppable in the next 2-3 years.
He's certainly a steal for the Spurs and the way we know how Gregg blooms and takes care of his players, he's really on the right path with this team.

Imagine buffing himself up just like how Giannis buffed himself, he'd definitely be unstoppable a little better than the freak of nature.
He'll better be called an alien freak if that time comes.

Now, the next step for the Spurs is to build a team around Wemby and surely they'll be back in the playoff picture again.
Are there rumors about some trades that are likely to go into Spurs? Wemby surely needs some veterans to guide and help him inside the court to pay some lessons.
