It's a temporal action. Ethereum is much stronger than Ripple. After it's hardfork the price will start growing again and Ethereum will be on the second place on coinmarketcap. But maybe it won't be at this day, maybe we need to wait some time.
It looks like ethereum has gianed the more volatility compared to the ripple. A few days remaining till hardfork and that will give us a lot of hopes to the ethereum. Difficulty bomb will have putted but it will be activated in the future. it's much stronger than ripple but ripple gets more stability. |

I'm in this market since 3.5-4 years and still I'm not pro about this market, everytime we need to learn something because market is changing very fast everyday so this is hard question and I don't know the answer. The time in this market is not important. It is important that you learn knowledge and diligently learn about it. I have been in this market for 3 years but my experience is not equal to those who entered this market for 1 year Unlimited time is needed to become a pro, every body should watch the market anytime and he must try to learn after it. The reason for upgrade of a coin is to improve on it and growth and development must be a going concern. Now, as it relate to market reaction of coin upgrade, it depend on the narration and market perspective of such upgrade.
Is hard fork an upgrade to a coin? Yes, I have been into research about fork and it does compromise on upgrading coin. According to wikipedia A hard fork is a rule change such that the software validating according to the old rules will see the blocks produced according to the new rules as invalid. In case of a hard fork, all nodes meant to work in accordance with the new rules need to upgrade their software. If one group of nodes continues to use the old software while the other nodes use the new software, a split can occur. Now, the crypto has been splitting into two but BCH still has dominated over BSV as coinmarketcap.com shows the ranking list between these two crypto. But, If I were to chose then I will go on BSV because this is the hardfork of BCH. A new and upgraded software for BCH is BSV. Hard fork effect? For now the effect is bad because it influences bitcoin market price drop. Sadly bitcoin market price reaches its bottom at 3.2K USD. Due to the bitcoin hardfork and that creates a lot of confused among the speculators, buyers and investors. Based on what I read on this thread, it looks like STO is a good option for investors compare to any ICO that usually became scam later but I am wondering since STO offer a security token does the team members must verify their identity before launching STO?
They are not even registered before creating STO, basically STO just another rebrand and no more differences with ICOs. What will be the differences of STO with ICO if the team not yet registered or verify its identity to the government? Some icos have registered its company to the government and it has been getting no action letter and that means if ico can operate legally in such country just like canada. Basically those idiots team must understand about how the regulation work. Government has issued a lot of legal framework and if you do that you will be fine. If you are re-branding your ico and you don't care about the legal framework and that is the same whatever you have called it as STO or ICO. |

I do not understand what is the point of creating stable coins, which are not such, and in principle the demand for them went only because of the fall of the market.
The point is when you are aiming to get the stable value without any volatility that acts like the fiat money and then the stable coin is the answer to that problem. When someone interesting to trade with stable money and they will have stable profit too. |

I was an early investor and made a quite good amount from DeepOnion last year. But unfortunately, I have invested again in July possibly and now I am in loss although, overall, I am in profit. Recently, in the dip I had bought more.
Its ATH was $17+. Is it possible to reach at ATH again from the current situation? The only reason I like this coin because of its active DEV team. They are very hard working.

It is not basically an update. It is an upgrade where the whole blockchain is changed, the code is changed, everything you can see in the ethereum is changed.
How will it affect the current ETH holders? There will be less ethereum produced by each block and that could affect the price of ethereum too. Some people are saying there will be a serenity coin as to be a hardfork coin caused by the serenity update in ethereum hardfork but i don't know if that was only a rumour or true story. |

You don't provide data as proof that the project will collapse. How can I trust you if you don't include accurate sources and evidence? I think you only give a statement from your own mind and scare the altcoin holders so they panic and sell all the altcoins held by them.

I think that can be a good decision to sell the coins that really doesn't has a good future.
But for some coins that we think to have a good future, it would be better if we kept them even in this market condition.
Just do what you think is right, there's nothing wrong on ditcing few altcoins that you dont have faith to begin with and that will only burden your mind. Most of people are always overthinking such a thing while they could be happier by doing what they want to do. |

I can only fully support this idea. That would really be a good solution to pay the participants in eth or btc. This would ensure that bounty participants not only receive worthless tokens for the work they have done. While that sounds good, paying in BTC is more likely can't be done, most of ICO are gathering the funds through ETH or other smart contract platform, maybe in some cases it is possible but just think about it, the less their token get involved into some kind of activity the more chance it will become useless. |
