Yeh lol..meh I'm tired of these forks..time to go back to good'ol'bitcoin The one and only, the first eh thats up to you of course.. but I am racking it in with these volatile new currencies. Mainly on I0coin as I dont have to worry about some founder dumping all of his coins suddenly and making the price crash. All the p2p currencies have large holders or founders that could crash the price. I doubt anyone has more than 100,000 i0coins unlike Thomas having 580k of his ixcoins. |

I have always had a problem with how ixcoin was 'developed' , the idea behind ixcoin and how it attempts to fix nothing. But I have become more against ixcoin the more i see oldminer and his minions go arround the forums attacking everything i0coin as if they dont understand why i0coin came into existence.
Yeah call me a whiner cause I didnt get 600k coins.. You want to know what? so what? I can compile code. I can search and replace 50 with 96.. I can even set it up to mine solo for a while.. bit fucking deal.. why would I be jealous of something I can do with absolutely no programming skills?
And yeah I can copy and paste sites as well.
If you want.. i can release cowcoins and premine them to 6 million or something.. if that will make anyone feel better. The coin will be shit, it wont solve any bitcoin problems.. it will be 1000% a pump and dump, but mainly cause I dont know how to program and can only really change some crap that I see there in the code. But hey if it makes everyone feel better I can make a coin 3 times as scammy as ixcoin..

I'd like to make a point about what's in it for doublec:
operate ixcoin exchange: doublec earns ixcoins and bitcoins
operate i0coin exchange: doublec earns i0coins and bitcoins
operate ixc/i0c exchange: doublec potentially just earns worthless bits of crap that don't feed the kids or pay the bills.
This is pretty much it. The i0coin exchange earnt 3 bitcoins and 1100 i0coins in fees since opening. When opening a new exchange I'm mainly interested in the bitcoin side of the equation unless it seems likely that the alternative coins will take off long term. An ixcoin/i0coin exchange would be mostly speculative on my part since I'd have no idea if either coin is likely to be worth anything. And with 0.2% fees on coins worth 1% of a bitcoin, it wouldn't pay for server costs unless trading was huge. I don't think trading would be huge (what i0coiner wants ixcoins and vice versa?) and if anything bots would remove all arbitrage opportunities quickly. Not saying I wouldn't do it, but it's unlikely given the work involved. Setting up the exchange is easy - it's the support for it that's time consuming. As I already stated, consider it an experiment. But no pressure. Do as you wish. |

I'm more worried that I0coins will eventually follow the same path  It probably will, but the difference is it will be market forces that does it.. there is less risk when their isnt one person holding 1/3 of all the coins in existence. I'm sure you can understand our fears about that.. right? ONE SINGLE PERSON could destroy all the value in your wallet, on a lark.. this is TOTALLY UNLIKE I0coin where it would take the community abandoning i0coin for it to collapse. Thats a huge difference in risk. I0coin was created on a whim but on a whim with a purpose, which is tooo highlight things like how coins are more valuable and stable when the founder doesnt take 1/2million for himself. Of course be wary.. i0coins dont add a lot to the equation, it does solve some problems with btc but not really enough to mean much.it doesnt have a gimic like namecoins. but currency competition is a great thing. +1 |

I'd actually like that. despite i like i0coin over ixcoin there are times when you can make money with ixcoin.. right now it is pretty damn low.. but I'm not going to go through the trouble of doing the trade dance.. this exchange will let you .. stay on the same page while exchanging but their volume is crap right nowHey doublec.. can you think about linking our accounts on your exchanges, if not link the exchanges themselves. It would be nice to have namecoins, bitcoins, i0coins and even ixcoins.. all on the same page and all inter tradeable. +1 Yeah one page that has all of your difference currencies to trade between. Makes it simpler. Seems redundant to have to login to separate sites to trade and then send btc between them to trade again. |

Call it an experiment. It would be interesting to see how the two new cryptocurrencies would trade on their own exchange. Right now one has to buy and sell on two separate exchanges and convert to BTC.
If anyone (DoubleC especially) is up to the challenge of making a simple exchange as described it would definitely give the community better knowledge on how cryptocurrency to cryptocurrency (non BTC that is) would work.
At some point those currencies that do survive will have inter exchanges between them just as they do for all fiat currencies ont he foreign exchange market.

Why didn't this brilliant mind just put his initial capital in the genesis block instead of wasting months of time and power? Seeing his "i just managed to compile bitcoin, let's get rich"-scheme failing would have been sad if it hadn't been so hilarious.
