1761  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: fellas be careful from this kind of scams! - READ on: March 26, 2023, 08:19:59 AM
Once you click the casino name, it gives you the option to "connect your wallet" once you connect your wallet, your funds are 100% lost.
Isn't this is the way most web3 casino do their business? if this is what you are referring to connect on the casino, not the typical giving the whole seed or private keys.

I don't know how it is possible from technical side. But if the site is too suspicious, new registered domain, newly made site without any good reputation, no reviews in the internet, using or connecting your main wallet to it is the most stupid thing a person can do, that's why being knowledgeable is the only way to avoid them.
1762  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam duckdice.io on: March 25, 2023, 11:46:27 PM
Can you provide a screenshot of the mail/chat? You can upload the image to imgbb or imgur then post the direct link here. I feel like casinos become so secretive when it comes to penalize their users which is really unfair. Soon as they told you were cheating or whatever then that's it, no more reason needed lmao. What a mess, this kind of casino should be boycot here regardless hoe reputed they are in the past.
1763  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What other ways are available for purchasing Bitcoin? on: March 25, 2023, 11:32:59 PM
Charles Hoskinson stated that cryptocurrency needs to cut ties with banks, how do you think this will work out?
That's something done 9 years ago on this space where there are less users and less exchange.
But for enable to use or get fiat, getting regulated on the country where the company is based, it's a different story.
I think it will happen only when all or most services where necessities can get accept bitcoin or crypto as payments.
1764  Other / Meta / Re: Why the forum didn't use the latest version? on: March 25, 2023, 12:17:43 PM
Good question, it should be easy to update the forum software only if this current smf software used only the way it is. But this forum software is already customized and added some many features by theymos example, the trust system, merit system, membership subscriptions and not to mention the near April fools feature lol.
1765  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: SIM Registration: Anong Dapat Ipag-alala? on: March 25, 2023, 10:37:35 AM

1766  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Blender.io = Sinbad.io | Thoughts? on: March 25, 2023, 02:33:34 AM

You're confusing 2 mixers and both are not related to each other:

We're talking about Blender.io in this topic.
The topic's link you posted is about @DarkStar_ creating a flag against BitBlender.io (forum username @blender)
Hence the title "blender - Ran off with user's funds after shutting down"
Oh, yeah, i stand corrected, good thing you mentioned it. Mixers with domain names "blenders" or "mixers" with almost the same names that only differ the domain extension is really confusing the same time scary when you use these scammed or phishing sites. Bookmarking the site really is recommended for a regular user.
1767  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Blender.io = Sinbad.io | Thoughts? on: March 24, 2023, 11:59:32 PM
Blender stole from users. They closed for "maintenance" and never came back.
If Sinbad.io = Blender.io why should it be trusted?
Show us the users they "stole" from  Roll Eyes
Here[1] is one of the open scam accusations though. And there are lots of list if it will be compiled.

1768  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: had Satoshi and Malmi problems with the .com TLD? on: March 24, 2023, 11:45:42 PM
I mean as a CEO or an entrepreneur, what you are expected to do is to register and secure the two top level domain extensions(.com and .org) to your business name. Why did Satoshi and Malmi register register bitcoin.org and bitcointalk.org and forgot about bitcoin.com?
Why you even considered satoshi as an entrepreneur, bitcoin is not a business in the very first place and will never be. And as CEO is considered to have a company which bitcoin is not either. That is why the .org the fitting tld domain extension for it. This is obviously explained on the bitcoin.org website.
1769  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Legal side to promoting bitcoin. on: March 24, 2023, 11:35:14 PM
You can get in trouble with the SEC as a forum member with celebrity status for promoting cryptocurrency on your social media, but not in trouble with them for promoting just bitcoins.
..
Do you know any celebrity that has gotten in trouble for promoting bitcoins?
If you as an influencer or a celebrity with thousands of millions of followers then you are fit to be charged. But for a homies like us nah. No one will come after you even if you shout in every crypto forums, or subreddits promoting bitcoin lol.
1770  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: SIM Registration: Anong Dapat Ipag-alala? on: March 24, 2023, 08:19:53 PM
1771  Other / Meta / Re: Plagiarism Vs Scam on: March 24, 2023, 08:10:11 PM
Well, getting scammed is a choice. It's their sole responsibility to have knowledge and to avoid getting scammed while there are lots of obvious ways to identify a scam, scam attempt, suspicious and etc.
On the other hand, against and banning plagiarism is a general rule of for any community forums for quality content, posts, etc.
1772  Other / Meta / Re: Bug? on: March 24, 2023, 09:26:27 AM
Are posts in trash can counted toward activity?
Based on the quoted post below, the answer is NO. Removed or trashed posts affects users activity as well as your rank.
Can activity or my rank decrease?

Yes. It can only decrease if you have all the posts you made from a particular period deleted or the threads you posted in trashcanned. If you do it's possible to drop rank until you have enough activity again.

It should be 0 post, 0 activity.
Again, posts moved to trashcan is still counts. That's why you see 1 post on that profile and 0 activity.
1773  Other / Meta / Re: Bug? on: March 24, 2023, 08:03:55 AM
The linked user has 1 post and 0 activity in its profile page, but if you look on his post history it shows nothing which means the post it made was moved to trashcan.
1774  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Seeking Advice from the Community! My Experience with AppleBitcoins.com on: March 23, 2023, 11:46:14 PM
There is no enough details from them in the internet. Didnt see any related thread about them here except this. Trustpilot reviews are mixed, their account is verified but almost there's no respond from them on the reviews there especially for the negative ones yet many review including you claim that their support is responsive.

Well, there are verified reviews there, means that the reviews are from their actual clients and all of them are negative. The rest are from random reviews which probably are fake ones.

I'll be wary buying anything from this kind of service regardless of running for how many years yet you can't hear any vouch, news, PR, anything about them, just a typical reviews from paid review sites and you sound like one of them.
1775  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [2023-03-22] Cryptopia.co.nz owners did it again! Self hack. on: March 23, 2023, 11:25:06 PM
Can you give at least some proofs to back this up, especially regarding the new exchange. The "self-hacked" is possible but all this discussions are just speculations and conspiracies but could happen tho.
1776  Other / Archival / Re: [History] Censorship on bitcointalk on: March 23, 2023, 11:47:55 AM
Found this as the sources of the forum rules
Some guidelines:

1. Free speech - you can say anything as long as it is relevant and presented in a calm and polite manner. Swearing, SHOUTING etc. make your post more likely to be removed.
I don't know if this still followed by mods but definitely that's the one of the reasons why the russian board's mod did that.
1777  Other / Meta / Re: Changing password and mail wrong thing? on: March 22, 2023, 11:50:32 PM
My question is; what will be my fate if I can't have access to my btt account and then what about my mail I don't have access to. Please let experts update me based on this issues.
It's the same obvious reason having any important account in any website online.
In fact, changing password regularly is one of the most recommended way to secure your online account.
1778  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph- another "enhanced" KYC documents and process. on: March 22, 2023, 11:09:44 PM

And yeah, ang fees talaha an reason kung bakit nag silipatan mga tao to binance p2p. Baba din ng rates nila palitan ng BTC/PHP pati sa ibang crypto.
Yung main reason ko na still na pag gamit sa coin ay dahil for alternative if ever di avail yung ibang option and yung bills and other e-vouchers na offered nila.
1779  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Sheepy - new cryptocurrency payment gateway on: March 21, 2023, 11:27:28 PM
I see the site prohibits the use from users of US[1], but if this is the case why the two users cannot access the site then this is not a good way to provide your service both business and its users. At least give them the ability to access the site and just prohibits from registering.

1780  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to Report a Bitcoin Scam on: March 20, 2023, 11:07:13 PM
Good initiative, but why only reports specific address? I will consider reporting if you are running one of the existing block explorers where you can easily check if the address is used for scamming after checking a transaction.
Also, the file report doesnt work, a 404 page.
