181  Economy / Economics / Re: Your aging and retirement plan is your responsibility. on: May 09, 2024, 03:30:09 PM
We need to understand that we also needs plan for our future, not just to live at the moment have some savings don't settle with just living paycheck by paycheck or spending all of your excess money to party or buy unnecessary things.
We need to sacrifice now in order to have a better future.
182  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you disguise on your real gambling lifestyle just to help a friend/relative? on: May 09, 2024, 12:45:45 PM
Just be honest with them, I don't get it why you need to lie about it? What would you get by doing it?
You have been around them for a long time and they have been honest to you the whole time, you just wants them to look up to you, but you know that it was all just a lie to make yourself better than them.
183  Economy / Economics / Re: Our decision making is responsible for the outcomes in our ways on: May 08, 2024, 10:16:29 PM
Anything that we do now would affect our future, and all of what we are experiencing or have right now is the result of what we did in the past.
We need to grow up and think about not just our future but also our family, for me I learned it the hard way but I am trying to make a better future for my kid.
I also used to spend on unnecessary things to enjoy, and regret it so now that I learned my lesson I started to invest my excess money to crypto.
184  Economy / Economics / Re: Starting a business without capital. on: May 08, 2024, 08:31:20 PM
Is very possible starting up a business without capital all you need is your ability of pursuing success.
Affiliate marketing is a business you can venture into without capital and still make good money from it, even more than some businesses started with capital.
There are different types of capital besides financial resources. Skills and equipment are also capital that is needed to start a service-oriented business. The bottom line is that you need financial resources to start or engage in any business. Even in affiliate marketing, you need a phone, computer, workspace, and internet subscription to carry out the tasks and these resources are your capital.

Quote
Affiliate marketing is the process by which a person earns a commission for marketing another person's products.
All you need to start this business is good communication skill in other to sell the product of the other person and get a commission for doing that.
You can decide to market product of different company or person's at same time by doing this you are sure that everyday someone will buy from one of those product's there by making money every day.
When you become an expert in affiliate marketing you will start making profit every day of your life.
Besides affiliate marketing, other platforms connect virtual workers to companies that need their services. I prefer to seek jobs in these online platforms than to engage in affiliate marketing. People who make high commissions are people who can generate high traffic for the company. Affiliates who have more followership on social media or other platforms will find this kind of business profitable.
I agree with this, even in affiliate marketing, you need something to start up and to sustain it.
Mobile phones, laptop , computer or any device and of course internet connection should also be considered as your capital, for me capital isn't just money it could be your skills or connection even time or dedication, anything that you could use to produce profit.
185  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No risk no gain on: May 08, 2024, 05:43:31 PM
I first heard about Bitcoin around 2016 but then I had no idea what Bitcoin was. Someone online was saying to work on it because I don't know anything about it. Then I heard about Bitcoin again in 2022 when the price of Bitcoin was 21000 dollars. I did a little research on Bitcoin and saw that it was good. From whom I heard, I said to a brother, brother, let's invest. Buy a bitcoin and keep it.Fifty percent and I invested fifty percent but that brother did not agree then. Day by day the price of Bitcoin was increasing and the price was going up and down around 25, 30, 31 thousand dollars. Still I told my brother to invest but he did not agree. That price eventually reached 74 thousand dollars. I regretted very much why I didn't take a risk. If you want to do something, you have to take a risk, nothing happens without a risk.
It is either you take risk or regret it, if you lose or didn't get the outcome that you want, then at least you tried or use it as an experience.
There is nothing wrong with trying it is either we win or gain an experience.
186  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it proper for younger ones to gamble? on: May 08, 2024, 05:27:22 PM
Because nowadays the younger ones take gambling more seriously then school. Yesterday i got back home early so I decided to step out and go to a betting shop to catch some fun while gambling, I saw two teenagers gambling with their school uniforms on them.

I asked someone besides me why did they allow this boy's to come in with their uniforms and gamble, he said did they put any restrictions that younger ones are not allowed to gamble. I said but it's not normal, I replied him what if this are your kids would you be happy seeing them gambling with their uniforms on them. So what do you guys think about this situation at hand now.
If it is legal then there is nothing that we could do about it, it is part of the parents job to make the younger ones understand how gambling could affect their future.
Honestly I also used to gamble back when I was in highschool so I kinda understand them, the only thing that they need is someone to guide them, so that they wouldn't succumb to it, and wouldn't get addicted that they would throw away their future or get their future be destroyed.
We have been there before and some of us eneded up pretty well.
187  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust bitcoin holders? on: May 08, 2024, 04:50:56 PM
I am not anti government or anti-bank, for me it is more of a freedom.
I do trust Bitcoin holders since I am also one of them, and I like to put my money into it rather than letting it sit on my bank.
I consider it as currency and investment at the same time.
188  Economy / Economics / Re: Ever dreamt of turning your passion into profit? on: May 08, 2024, 12:56:19 PM
Who hadn't dreamt of doing it, doing something you like while earning through it.
I think we wouldn't be stressed out from earning if it ever happens, and only few could pull that kind of life.
Some people needs to focus on their earning because they couldn't afford to risk it for something that doesn't guarantee to give them profit or earnings.
189  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why do people lose in gambling and still go ahead and bet more? on: May 08, 2024, 12:39:59 PM
I've a friend of mine who always complain that ever since he started gambling he haven't won a good amount, instead he'll be winning less money than what he expected but he can't stop. So I'm asking what do you suggest he should do at this case. For me I told him that he should know that gambling it's a game of risk and luck, but with the constant betting you might win the amount you've at mind someday. So what are your suggestions towards this.
If he is constantly winning even a small profit from gambling then he just needs to save it all up.
Your friend is aiming for a big prize and he should be aware of how risky it is to chase it, at least he knows when to quit and to not let his greed control him when he plays.
190  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you successfully influenced someone to invest in bitcoin ? on: May 08, 2024, 12:35:27 AM
Have you successfully influenced someone to invest in bitcoin ?  What was the final result, did they thank you later for this ?
Yes my brother was really against me when I was starting in cryptocurrency, but after I showed him my earning he also tried it.
And now he is the one who guides me on some crypto activities, and he is much more successful than me.
I know that he is thankful for it, honestly crypto change our life it made it easier.
191  Economy / Economics / Re: Take care of your money and learn to save. on: May 07, 2024, 10:13:54 PM
People's financial situation is not always the same as we have enough money now but in the future we may not have enough money to spend. Now we have enough money so now I will go out of my way to spend money as I want for no reason then later when I don't have enough to spend but no one else will give me money to spend. It is a fact that as long as you have money and as long as you spend money behind others people will speak for you and people will be with you but if one day you want to walk with them without spending money then you will find no one to walk with. Since money brings people closer and money drives people away, money should be given the most importance.

The amount of money that we are earning now is divided into several parts and the remaining money is the money but if we want we can invest or save so that if there is a financial crisis in the future but this saved money will support us well.

We must be careful about money, if you are careful about money then there is no problem if people call you stingy because some people's job is to say bad things about others.
It is true it wouldn't always be the same so we must learn to save or manage our funds well.
It doesn't matter if you are earning big right now it would all be useless in the future if you couldn't manage it well, some people tend to spend all of their earnings to enjoy their life or live the moment as they call it, but what about their future? they don't really care much about it as long as they are having fun.
I think this is the reason why most minimum wage earner aren't successful, they tend party almost everytime they get their salary to relieve stress.
192  Economy / Economics / Re: It's better to invest now than to regret it in a hospital bed. on: May 07, 2024, 08:26:27 PM
Learned it the hard way, but good thing I wasn't in a hospital bed.
There were a quote I read before "an hungry stomach, empty pocket, and a broken heart can teach us the best lesson of life" and I strongly agree to it.
When we are on our lowest that is when we strive to make the best of us, so that we could never feel the same way ever again.
Some people just need to experience hardship in order to appreciate something or understand the importance of what they had.
I regret not saving or keeping an investment before so now I am making sure that I am putting up a percentage of my salary to my investment and savings.
193  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not get discouraged by the current price of Bitcoin on: May 07, 2024, 05:43:48 PM
Only newbie would be discouraged when the price drops down after having a huge increase.
We have seen this scenario so many times before, relax and try to accumulate more then HODL, I believe most of the old crypto earners are doing this.
194  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online casino gambling is more of profit chasers while land base is more of fun on: May 07, 2024, 04:54:23 PM
I think it all depends on what we are aiming for, there are online gambling sites that let you interact with other gamblers or socialize.
There are gamblers who goes to gamble to have fun or socialize, it doesn't matter if it is online or land base, it all comes down to where they are comfortable.
Who knows maybe there are online gamblers who likes to socialize online but have a hard time having a conversation in person, that is why they are gambling online rather than in land base.
195  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin the Dumbest Thing Ever Invented on: May 07, 2024, 03:27:41 PM
If you think it is dumb then what about the other crypto currency?
And if it is a dumb thing invented why is it still in the industry and one of the most popular and highest price in cryptocurrency market?
There are so many people who are against Bitcoin or crypto, but most of them would just ignore it and continue with their life.
196  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you take time to read the terms and conditions of casinos before registering? on: May 06, 2024, 10:12:18 PM
It depends on who recommended the site that I would use, if it is someone I fully trust and I know that they are also using it, most of the time I would just agree to the TOS.
But there are also times that I would read the whole thing specially if they have some bonuses or giveaways.
197  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Question to hodlers:How will you spend the money? on: May 06, 2024, 08:22:11 PM
For me I would sell my crypto to buy my own land or place, then start up a small business there.
It is more of a retirement plan for me, I want to buy a land on the country side rather than live on the city.
The cost of living would be cheaper and the scenery is much nicer.
Of course I would continue to earn on crypto, and when I start my small business there I would also accept Bitcoin or other crypto currency as a payment option to promote it.
198  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The reason why you shouldn't force someone to invest in bitcoin. on: May 06, 2024, 05:37:59 PM
The reason why you shouldn't force someone to invest in bitcoin?
Did you think is good to force someone to invest in bitcoin?
What is the disadvantage of forcing someone to invest in bitcoin?
Did you really think the person is ready to bare the risk that is involve?

What are your opinions towards this particular topic?
You don't need to force anyone to invest in crypto or Bitcoin, it is their money why would you force them to spend it on something that they don't like?
If they lose their money on this investment would you compensate it? what would you get if they invest on it?
I don't see any reason why we need to force them to invest.
199  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think casinos can stop demanding KYC? on: May 06, 2024, 05:11:21 PM
I don't think that they could specially if they want to be legitimate or legal.
They need to know if their players aren't playing in a country that is against gambling, also to know if they aren't underage.
They need to know those info and verify it so that they wouldn't face any charges.
200  Other / Off-topic / Re: How much of my salary should I use to gamble on: May 06, 2024, 12:55:26 PM
Gambling is becoming a popular thing in my locality almost everyone gamble and even colleagues gamble and engage in gambling related discussions at work,  so gambling is legal and very popular so there is no Shame in using part of a salary to gamble with that is why I am asking the question of what the right percentage from my salary that I should use to gamble?
I only gamble with my spare money, but if I would set up a percentage it would only be small so that it wouldn't affect me much.
I also don't want to do it regularly, I only gamble when I feel like it, so I am not setting up a percentage from my salary for it.
