21  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you consider yourself, the family and gambling? on: April 11, 2024, 05:02:16 PM
1. At what age will you allow your child to start gambling? that is if you will even allow for that at all?
As long as they are at the legal age and it is their own money I wouldn't stop then, instead I would just remind them to only spend what they could afford to lose, don't be too greedy and learn to control the time and money that they would spend on it.
2. At what age do you see yourself quit gambling? that is also if some of us are going to ever do so?
I don't really know of a certain age since I am taking breaks on gambling everytime that I lose, and sometimes it would take months or years before I gamble again, I couldn't be so sure that I wouldn't go back or try to gamble again after a long time of break.
3. Ever since you have started gambling, have you ever achieve a satisfying level that makes you think it has good impact on you?
Not really sure about it, but I did achieve some satisfaction when I bought something for myself from the money I won in gambling back when I was young.
4. Would you have missed out on anything if you were not a gambler?
I feel like yes I would missed out something, but not really sure what it is, since most of my teenage years I was already into gambling, betting.
22  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you feel when you experience violence while gambling on: April 10, 2024, 12:53:49 PM
I've seen some people get violent when they lose a match with money involve, but in my case it wasn't just the money that trigger them it was also the insult while playing or trash talk.
This is one of the reason why other are scared to gamble on land base casino or to hide their gambling activity, some gamblers doesn't really feel safe after winning a huge amount on land base casino.
23  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you achieved anything from gambling on: April 09, 2024, 05:28:57 PM
My achievement from gambling isn't really big or remarkable, I only manage to buy some necessary things before for myself (eye glass, mobile phone, and other personal things).
But other than material things I also learn some lesson from gambling base on personal experience.
I learn to manage my funds and be contented even with small profits.
24  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Land Based Casinos in the Digital Age on: April 09, 2024, 12:53:17 PM
Hey everyone,

As online gambling platforms continue to grow in popularity, I’ve been wondering about the future of traditional, land based casinos. With the convenience and accessibility of online betting, will brick-and-mortar casinos become a thing of the past, or will they evolve to offer experiences that can’t be replicated online?

Do you think they’ll manage to hold their ground, or will we see a shift towards exclusively digital platforms?
They'll both exist into this gambling industry no matter how online gambling would progress, we should make ourselves aware that not all people would really be loving on playing online and still nothing could
beat up that real ambiance and experience on which physical casinos that could give and this is something those gamblers do loving and this is where they do preferred it out.

If you do try to look around then those casinos are still on existence on which means that there's still that a huge demand and i dont see any decline. Despite on online gambling casinos rise
or demand but still there are gamblers who are really that preferring on playing into these places. They are still making that significant revenue and we've seen on how
still relevant they are even up in todays era.
Gamblers have their own preference some want to play face to face, while other wants to stay anonymous.
Others want to meet up with other gamblers or socialize, while other wants to play silently, and have access anywhere and anytime they want.
So I agree that both land base and online casino or gambling could exist, they don't need to compete or one of them to disappear.
25  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it right to advice other people against gambling for personal reasons like?? on: April 09, 2024, 11:58:53 AM
Hi guys and ladies,

Sorry I can't share the Facebook post this thread stems from, as I lost the post, hours ago before deciding to bring it up as a discussion on this forum.

Like 6 to 7 hours ago, I was over there on Facebook scrolling my life-time away  Grin, I came to this post where the user was advising readers on how bad gambling is, being a gambler myself, I decided to open the post in fall to read and know what the dude is all about, and from all the story, it seems the dude went all in on a gambling sprey which didn't turn out the way he had anticipated, according to him, he had lost all his life savings (over $60,000) to gambling and it all started with a bet of $10.

And right now, the dude is all out to castigate and discourage as many that are willing to give him a listening ear; from gambling, all for what? Because gambling didn't turn out well for him, he lost his entire life savings, and he now believed that that is exactly how every other persons out there gambling will lose too.

What do you make of this, I honestly do not know but deep inside of me, I feel it's absolutely wrong to advice people against doing something, just because you did the same thing and it did not favor you..

Do you guys think it's OK to advice other gamblers to quit gambling simply because of your own bad experience, does your bad experience mean that every other gambler out there will also have the same bad experience?
I will like some really useful discussions around this topic.
For me it is his personal advice, and he is just telling his own story while making it obvious that he become a gambling addict.
He is just making people aware of what addiction could do to your life, it is not just gambling but all sorts of addiction could ruin your life.
It is up to people if they would take the advice, after all we have seen so many people giving advice about investment scams but some would still be scammed by it.
26  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you advise a friend in the same way? on: April 08, 2024, 11:03:48 PM
Is this the wrong advice? A friend of mine took over his father's company because he is so old already and he told me about the money thats available doing nothing in the bank.

I told him to think about investing that money if he wants to keep the company growing, I told him about how MicroStrategy is doing so well using Bitcoin as a strong backbone of the company, I believe that even a small company can turn big if they use Bitcoin as their main investment.

Or am I wrong? I need to know if this advice is a good one or a bad one, I gave him this advice because we are very close and also because I will do the same thing if I am in his shoe, this is the best thing i can think of right now.
You should also advice him about the risk of investing in crypto, don't just point out the profit they should also be aware of the risk.
Whenever we are going to give out an advice on investment always include the cons not just the pros of it.
We as a crypto earner should be aware of how the reality works, it isn't always about the successful stories or achievements we should also include the challenge they faced before achieving it.
27  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling: Modern entertainment or highly addictive game? on: April 08, 2024, 05:02:01 PM
For me it is both of it, gambling would and has always been a form of entertainment for some of us, and making it online is an easy access for us we could gamble anywhere and anytime we want.
And it is true that it is highly addictive game, specially for those who are eager to have an easy money or profit.
28  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stopping the curse of losing streak? on: April 08, 2024, 12:58:29 PM
For me I would just take a break from gambling, I don't really like to try out other games I only play on games that I am comfortable with.
Whenever I am on a lose streak I would try to lessen the risk or be contented with small wins, and I don't really chase up my loss from my previous deposits, whenever I deposit to gamble I consider it as a fresh start and ignore the previous loss.
29  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we really need to blame fraudsters on: April 05, 2024, 10:16:31 PM
It is both parties fault for me.
If there is no scammer then there wouldn't be a victim, but at the same if there is no one who would fall for their scams they would stop on doing it since it would just be a waste of time.
We could easily avoid being scammed if we would just pay attention to how unrealistic their investment is, or paying attention to details or info.
30  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does it looks responsible as woman telling husband you gamble? on: April 05, 2024, 04:55:57 PM
For me you should tell your husband about it, keeping it a secret would only cause problems in the future.
For me if money is involve your partner should always know it, you didn't do anything wrong you could control your greed and if it doesn't really affect your daily life or you are using only your spare or excess money then there is nothing wrong with it, you are doing it for fun you are not addicted to it.
31  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Claw Machines: a category of gambling? on: April 05, 2024, 12:52:16 PM
For me I consider it as a gambling because you risk your money in order to get the prize that you want.
For me everything that have a risk is gambling, I mean those that depend much more on luck without much skills needed.
Any games or form of entertainment with money or risk involve I consider those as gambling.
32  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lately I've been thinking about this a lot. on: April 04, 2024, 08:31:06 PM
This could really be true, we couldn't even know if the fight result is real, I mean if the players are just giving us a show and making it looks like it was a close fight.
It could happen in tournaments or famous athletes, some could pay up or bribe the players to make sure they win.
33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto or Real estate on: April 04, 2024, 05:33:32 PM
Cryptocurrency:
Cryptocurrency is a digital form of currency that not controlled by any government or any central authority.
In crypto, there is a high rate of return as compared to the real-estate. Cryptocurrency is decentralized (not controlled by any authority or any government). In crypto, u can trade at any time according to the condition of the market you can trade for a long or short period of time. As you wish. But in crypto, the price can swing at any time because any good or bad news is able to change the game.
Real-estate:
Real estate investors are those who purchase property to make profit. They buy residential, commercial or invest through funds. They make money when the value of the money over time increases.  Real estate provides us with a physical asset that can provide us security and stability as compared to cryptocurrency. Real estate property has high potential as compared to crypto to increase its value after a period of time.

Which one do you prefer?
Not everyone could afford to invest in real estate, but if I could I would surely invest in it.
Crypto is for everyone even a minimum wage earner could afford to invest little by little, in that way they could earn as soon as possible, unlike if a minimum wage earner would like to invest in real estate they need to save up first, and it would surely take too much time before they could buy a property and earn from it.

They both have pros and cons, it would only depends on how the investors would handle it.
34  Other / Off-topic / Re: Gambling kills the fun in these two cases on: April 04, 2024, 12:54:17 PM
People could only make gambling as their source of income if they are the owner, only few or so small percentage of gamblers could make a living out of it.
And for entertainment purpose, I think that only few would gamble just for that and those are the rich people, after all they don't really need the profit they are just doing it to have fun, others could also do it for socializing to meet up other people.
35  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DO NOT BRAG ABOUT YOUR BITCOIN on: April 03, 2024, 11:58:14 PM
Don't brag about your investment or how much you have, it is like asking for someone to target you for a quick cash.
Some might understand that flexing what you work hard for or achievement is so satisfying, but at least minimize it don't show everything that doesn't need to be shown in public.
Make sure that you and your family is always safe.
36  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many times all-in save your bankroll? on: April 03, 2024, 10:12:45 PM
I couldn't really count how many times it saved me before, but I am sure that I've experience more lose than win on an all-in bet.
And if my all in bet wins, the next move for me is either I would take a short break and try to start over again or climb up again or bet it all in again till it recover most of what I loss.
37  Other / Off-topic / Re: Gambling addiction is not about the money you could win; it's about the "win" it on: April 03, 2024, 05:10:12 PM
When I started gambling my mindset is solely about winning some cash to better my life but the more I gamble, the more that idea shifts. The money no longer satisfies my initial goal but the idea of winning does.

But even with those ideals in play, why would a millionaire start gambling in the first place?

so why would a rich athlete or politician become so addictive to gambling?

I think socialization+joy+drinking+gambling is satisfaction to them. What do you think?
The way I see it those people are addicted to the feeling they got when they gamble, not just about the profit, socialization or drinking.
We have some gamblers who are addicted to it without even socialization.
I think rich people became addicted to gambling because of the satisfaction that they got from winning, and they are risking their money to get that satisfaction.
38  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Going all in and losing the bet on: April 02, 2024, 07:34:38 PM
I was just playing Hi-Lo, making small dollar bets, if it's 5 number card I select higher card and win, if it's 10 number then I go with 'low' and win.

Then I was greeted with Ace card, minimal possibility for equal card right (i.e, Ace), so I go all in, and guess what happens, the result is Ace means I lost the bet.

Then I have all sorts of thoughts blaming casino, like do they manipulate the result of the game when user goes all in. I am sure they are all fair, it's just that the possibility of losing the game may be minimal but it's never 0.
I also feel the same way before, but then it is not like they are monitoring every single player, and waiting for them to bet all in just to make them lose.
We only question the site when we lose but if we win those rounds this speculations or feeling wouldn't surely be questioned.
It just happened that the last bet lose, no matter how high the winning percentage there is always a chance that we could lose.
39  Other / Off-topic / Re: No interest in gambling if there is no profit or fun to be accountable. on: April 02, 2024, 05:25:40 PM
At a state you bets and looses and before your time-out based on your gambling budgets or plans you always recovers your lost without profits accounted, and you don't find fun in the games and this happens concurrently, Would you still consider to game in such casino site?
Or would you go for the one you would either loose of gains by profits or find funs gaming?

To me if profits and funs are not featured in gambling then I don't find any Interest in it
What's the point in gambling if you wouldn't have fun or profit from it?
People continue to gamble only because of those two factors if they couldn't get even one of those them they are just wasting their time and money.
Some gamblers would continue to play because it is fun for them even if they are losing, because they focus on enjoyment or entertainment rather than the profit.
But most of the gamblers are in it for the profit, some of them doesn't really care about the games as long as they could earn from it.
40  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How about your experience in taking part in the same bet with friends? on: April 02, 2024, 12:48:22 PM
Wins and losses are common in gambling. Losing a bet creates a lot of human stress for many gamblers because there are many gamblers who bet such money that they cannot afford to lose.

Some other gamblers after losing betting money they become depressed. Most of the time I have gambled alone and some times gambled with friends. There are some positive and negative aspects of gambling in these two situations. I feel a bit relaxed there when I participate in the same bet with my friends. Because even if I lose there, I get consolation seing from others. At the same time there are some differences of opinion before betting which sometimes creates confusion.

Have any of you had any such feelings?

Is there less human pressure if gambling is conducted in the same place with friends?
There are times that I would also gamble along with my friends, and it lessen the pressure for me.
The only thing that I don't like whenever we do it is that I also don't care much about the money it is mostly for fun.
Most of the time we would end up losing, even if we would manage to win in our early bets since we don't want to stop cause we are having fun.
