341  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Aliens accept BTC, What about newborns? on: May 09, 2023, 08:25:57 PM
Let's say we run into some other species will they accept a 95% premined supply?
Yes bitcoin is 95% premine to anyone coming into contact with it for the first time today.

Chances are they are more advanced than us let's say

Do you think the aliens will accept bitcoin

What about newborns?
Let's say that they do exist, why would they accept Bitcoin?
Would you accept something that doesn't really have a value to you?
Let's just put it this way you would go to some native or those who know nothing about money do you think they would accept your Fiat when you give it to them as a payment?
342  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Bitcoin in Student Life on: May 08, 2023, 05:47:27 PM
I also think that it is better to keep my money on crypto rather than Bank, it is not just about security but also the return is far more greater than holding it on bank.
The only thing that concerns me is that how would we explain it when the time comes that we have to exchange our crypto into Fiat and it is illegal in our country?
I am sure that it would be somehow get didected or it would be suspicious.
343  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin succeeds on: May 08, 2023, 02:27:59 PM
The prediction of bitcoin's price made by Balaji Srinivasan, a former CTO of Coinbase (1 btc = 1 million USD), is unattainable for the majority of individuals. ~snip~
We all know that it doesn't happen that way and this kind of statement is just for a show.
Those who have been in crypto for so long would know or at least heard those kind of words so many times before, but if you would look at the current price and chart of Bitcoin you would know that reaching that high would be impossible in just 90 days I think even in 1 or 2 years.
It didn't even touch $100K yet and for how many years and they are already stating million in just 90 days?
344  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why gambling and mixing called bad actors in bitcoin on: May 05, 2023, 12:24:54 PM
From my experience and observations, I noticed both Bitcoin mixing and online gambling using Bitcoin are mostly regarded as bad actors in Bitcoin despite both being the highest Bitcoin adopters and having the largest Bitcoin volume in transactions and services.
Secondly, if Gambling and Bitcoin mixing services are called bad actors, what about centralized exchanges are they also perceived as bad actors in Bitcoin?
Mixing is considered as a bad actor for crypto because it is also being used by illegal activities, like money laundering.
While gambling, I think we all know why it is considered as bad actor for crypto, but like OP has mention this 2 played a huge part for cryptocurrency adaptation, I think there are tons of crypto investor or user because of those two.

346  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will you do with bitcoin? on: April 27, 2023, 09:51:21 PM
I am planning on holding my crypto as long as I could and until I had enough to buy the things that I want and need, actually the price doesn't matter for me if I have enough crypto to buy what I need and want then I would sell it to achieve my goals.
I didn't invest here to just hold it, I invsted in order to gain profit to achieve my goals.
347  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What a physical Bitcoin could look like? on: April 27, 2023, 12:22:49 PM
Thoughts on this. Now at this time. It would be almost impossible to make a physical Bitcoin. But with advances in technology it could be possible. Maybe if you have just whole numbers of Bitcoin, eg 1 Bitcoin.
i am thinking its possible into a almost like a paper note format, with bar codes etc on it. It would be centralized in physical form almost, but i think it could be possible to actually have a physical aspect that could be moved in the real world.

What are your thoughts on what a physical Bitcoin could look like and an idea on how it would work?
First of I think it wouldn't really be Bitcoin at all they are just going to copy the name, the price keeps on moving and each whole coin contains a 100M sats and every sats have a value, so if they would make a physical coin I think it would be Sats or Bits.
And if it would ever happen then I guess others would just see it as a collector's item, not as a currency.
348  Economy / Gambling / Re: Without money, does it still qualify as gambling? on: April 26, 2023, 10:07:11 PM
As long as there's a risk involved and it is some kind of prediction, win or lose type of games, then I would always consider it as a form of gambling.
Sometimes even if it's not directly money as long as it have a value and it is being risk then yes it is gambling.
349  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why does Bitcoiner still support the use of centralized exchanges? on: April 26, 2023, 05:23:23 PM
I did some research on Bitcoin because I was interested in it, and I discovered that the key principles of Bitcoin are peer-to-peer, anonymity, pseudonymity, decentralization, and operating without a middleman to ensure that Bitcoiners can have financial freedom. However, despite knowing that Bitcoiners adhere to these tenets, why do some Bitcoiners act contrary to them? Why do they continue to support centralized exchanges, use them, and retain their Bitcoin there?
The only reason why I support or still keep on using centralized on Bitcoin or crypto is due to safely withdraw or convert my crypto into Fiat.
But if there would be other way for me to securely withdraw or convert crypto into Fiat without doing it in person then I would stop using centralized platforms.
350  Economy / Economics / Re: Look for what to invest, not what to eat on: April 25, 2023, 05:20:39 PM
I don't know why some people in this platform are looking for what to eat at the moment, not know that they can invest in a potential projects that will put food on their table, and they will not lack what to eat and what to spend in future. I saw some message in the Bitcointalk.org where some users are trying to sell their account just to get what to eat not knowing that they can use that account to work to get a huge capital that will bring them out from poverty, and make food surplus in their home. I knew some senior members in this forum that started using member rank to work before they get to legendary to spread many investments around the country, because they didn't look for what to eat at the moment than to work hard to used their opportunities to invested in BTC before they became who they are today.
Will you invest now or you will be like that person that is looking for what to eat? It will be favourable if you can change that attitude of selling what will make you great in future just because of what will survive you at the moment. No way you will invest in BTC today and you will not have something good to eat because, investment is like a seed planted in a due season to expect something good in the future. Is it a good thing to invest or is good to continue looking for what to eat?
What do you think.
It is different for each of us, some of us are in need for fast cash so even though they need and know that they could earn with it they are selling it.
You wouldn't understand it until you are on their position, I even once made the same decision I sold something that I know I could use to earn for a long run, but due to some circumstances I needed to let it go and sell it for a fast cash.
351  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Little Bitcoin investment becoming something else on: April 25, 2023, 01:06:27 AM
I think the best thing to do right now since you're confuse and already earned some profit, why not play safe?
Take out your capital and leave your profit in crypto? and when you feel that the price is already good for you then invest back the capital that you've secured.
Whenever you invest on something always have a plan so you wouldn't be so confused on it when things got hard.
Make some plan on how long would you hold it, what is the ideal price for you to take profit and if you would take profit would you sell them all off in just one time or would you sell some of your asset whenever it reach the price that you've set.
What is the maximum amount of lose that you are willing to take, what price are you going to cut off when the price starts to drop down.
352  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do when there is a bear run in Bitcoin on: April 24, 2023, 11:02:56 PM
If the bear market only just started, it's smart to sell, even at a loss, because you can then buy back cheaper. Problem is, you can never tell a beginning of a bear market from a simple correction that happen during bull market. And these correction can be massive. During the last cycle we saw the price crashing by 50%, which is normally a clear sign of a bearish trend, but that time the price recovered and established a new ATH.

I agree with this but the problem is as you've mention it is difficult for most traders to know if it is just a drop and pump scenario or a real bear market is coming.
For me if you really believe that the price would still increase then just hold your crypto if you could invest more then invest rather than risking the asset that you already have.
I am not against it actually it is a good idea to accumulate more while spending less but the problem is that we don't know if it would continue to drop or it would rise up after selling your crypto and waiting for the price to go lower.
353  Economy / Economics / Re: marry rich: marry fiat rich or crypto rich, which is better? on: April 24, 2023, 11:00:40 AM
Marry someone who would be there for you no matter what,
Don't settle because of money, you would marry someone because their rich? how about the way they treat you or other people? does that even matter to you?
Marry someone who could help you and understand you, who could be your peace not because of financial status but your mental peace.
If your just going to marry someone because their rich what would you do if they happen to have a rough time and end up losing their asset?
354  Economy / Economics / Re: SPENDING MORE THAN YOU EARN on: April 23, 2023, 05:41:54 PM
Base on one of my recent post titled"Common Money Mistakes Anyone Can Make"(https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5448160.msg62062701#msg62062701). One of the serious point there is SPENDING MORE THAN YOU EARN. I believe this should be discussed as a separate topic as it's a very crucial part of ones financial life. Spending more than you earn make ones keeps accumulating debt from expenditure before getting income. This isn't good for ones financial life. With this you hardly save money but keep accumulating debt. It’s better to avoid debt if you can. That way you’ll avoid paying interest on what you owe. Below are ways one can easily stop spending more than you earn:

~snip~
It's good for one to satisfy his/her desire when making purchase of items but this shouldn't cause issues in ones lifestyle. The key to stop spending too much money is to create better money habits in your daily life. But I know that’s easier said than done. Putting one or all of these ideas into action, helps in building a healthy spending habit. Take control of your spending today and you’ll reap financial rewards for years to come.
Actually I am not spending more than what I am earning,
But I am spending more than I should, I want to change that.
I have been busy on working and I use that excuse to cut off sometime to cook for myself and buy the foods that I want even though it is quite pricey.
I also tend to buy more than I should whenever I go to the grocery stores.
I want to save up so I am starting by cooking my own food and hope that it would have a great result.
P.S I am not doing it just to save money now I know that most of the fast food is really unhealthy and I am having some health issue so I want to work on it now, it is like hitting two birds in one stone (Eating healthy and saving money).
355  Economy / Economics / Re: How do feels losing money? on: April 23, 2023, 03:31:46 PM
Actually for me I think it depends on the situation and how I lose the money, if it is from investment then I would regret it for sure and feel bad but I would take it as a lesson and reflect what I did wrong.
If it is from gambling then I wouldn't feel anything since I am well aware that it is part of the game.
If it was misplaced or I don't know what happened I would be frustrated and would try to move on from it by having some fun time with games or movies.
356  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people stay poor? on: April 22, 2023, 11:25:39 PM
I have always wanted to ask this question is it that there is no opportunity or they do not want to get rich
Mate please more to this I am confused here.
There is always an opportunity and we all want to be rich or at least have a life where money wouldn't be a problem.
For me the main reason why people stay poor is due to the way they live, their life style or the way they think.
Let's just be honest here most of the time people tend to spend to feel good, appreciated or proud, this is the reason they don't have a savings.
Also let's talk about their source of income most of the time people would choose work over business since it guarantee a regular income unlike in business there is a chance that they wouldn't succeed.
Some people wouldn't take the risk on investment and would just work to pay bills and the necessary things that they want and some of their money would go to some of their vices to relieve the stress that they accumulated from working.
357  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin was to be physical product? on: April 22, 2023, 10:48:44 PM
Let me say, when the first time you heard about bitcoin, you begins to wonder what is it all about and finally you gets to see it as physical product like lands, cars, gold or diamonds that's instances. This products also people invest in it but not everybody probably the rich, I believe many people won't have had the money to buy bitcoin or even put interest even if you have the money.

People love privacy in business and bitcoin is one profound individuals investment business with the public necessary sees your progress. Physical business attracts enemies, hatred, criminals, stress and energy, even witchcrafts (enemies of progress). But bitcoin is cool private investment nobody knows what's going on, on your devices only you. That in many ways bitcoin is more advantageous to other business investments with lots of benefits, this is more reason why it should be encourage to be accepted as a global digital assets. Would you have involved if bitcoin is a physical product?
This is also one of my reason why I love crypto, people don't really know what is happening with you if you wouldn't tell them, the only negative side is that most of the time people tend to get crazy ideas when they see you being successful in life or buying things that you once couldn't afford.
I know some people who had been accused or rumored to be doing something illegal like selling drugs Cheesy .
Some of my family members also suspect me before that I was doing something like that since I am earning a lot even though I am not leaving the house.
358  Economy / Economics / Re: Lending money or damaging family bond ? on: April 21, 2023, 05:42:59 PM

Managing finances properly is key to our financial life, which is well known to each of us, I guess. I feel like this is in my bones so sometimes I make some decisions subconsciously. I recently ran into a situation where I found myself really awkward. Last July or August(I can't remember that clearly), one of my extended family cousin asked me for three thousand dollars as he lost his job and could not pay off his loans. I refuse to lend him the money cause I knew him well that he was not a solid trustworthy guy. A few days ago we met on a family reunion occasion and he did not really talk to me and I suddenly realized that it was because I didn't lend him money last year. I think about it twice and if he had not been that untrustworthy, I would have definitely lent him the money. Anyway, I hope he is doing fine now and best wishes to him.
Honestly I would do the samething, and if they don't want to talk to me because of it then it's fine.
We could live on our own it's not being selfish or prideful but it is not our responsibility to lend them some money when their in trouble, we have a choice and we could always reject it and they should respect it no matter what our reason would be, because it is our money we work for it.
359  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can i make 100 $ daily from online casinos on: April 21, 2023, 12:08:27 PM
I was wondering if it is possible to earn good money from online casinos referral system ? Is it possible to earn that hundred that OP wants to earn daily? Is it possible to invest his 2k on account promotion and later insert ref link everywhere? Of course that idea sound silly and 2k isnt enough. But years of developing youtube channel with a start budget of 2k could theoretically bring him to a level of 100 bucks per day earnings.
What do you mean? I think what he is referring if it is possible if he could managed to lower the risk with his 2k and only win $100 per day. I think that kind of strategy is good imagine having $700 weekly but through gambling I think that is impossible because not all of the time you can win in gambling and there is a time that you will be on a losing streak.
He doesn't say to play gambling every week but he wonders to make a lot of money from the online casino referral system.
If he only played gambling by taking risks, he would not be able to win a lot of money but would suffer losses.
It's better to try to spread referral links than play gambling because it doesn't cause us to lose money.
By trying to do something like that, he might potentially make money from referral links and not have to gamble.
Well it was unclear if it was from affiliate or by playing, the only clue that OP has stated is that his/her acct have $2,000 and he/she is aiming to gain $100 daily profit.
But it seems like OP is aiming to get $100 daily profit no matter what method it is base on his/her last post.
And I agree with you that if OP would use his/her money to play it would be really risky if he/she is aiming for a regular income.
The best way for OP to achieve his/her goal is by referral program but it would take time and it would be really hard.
360  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is racist on: April 21, 2023, 09:38:09 AM
LOL those kind of clowns are the best, this is why I love crypto not only it is an investment but sometimes it is also an entertainment.
There are dramas everytime it goes down and of course let's not forget those comedian's and some prophet who see's the future price.
But honestly it's not wrong at all since what they stated is true if you'll think about it.
There are so many people who loss their money because they don't really know what they are investing on, and they just invested blindly believing that those investment could make them rich quickly.
