241  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Gambling affect your relationship? on: October 05, 2023, 06:03:46 PM
Yes, Gambling addiction has strained a lot of relationships through financial instabilities emotional turmoil, social isolation, and family problems. Gambling which was meant to be a popular kind of entertainment for many and was designed to provide a temporary escape from everyday life and also help one to be more observant mentally task your brain and it is also good for your mental brain. When it becomes an addiction it causes financial strain the strain can manifest in various ways including the loss of shared savings, debt accumulation, and financial secrecy which may lead to strained communication between partners. This communication breakdown can prevent couples, friends, and associates from working together.
Any addiction would affect relationship.
All sorts of addiction would consume your time, attention and money so of course it would greatly affect your relationship.
Even if those who are addicted would explain it there are some who wouldn't even understand it.
242  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you gamble because you don't have sufficient money? on: October 04, 2023, 04:54:55 PM
I was in argument with someone. His view is that people who gamble are those that what they have is not sufficient for them and so they try to make more money from gambling. He said if you have sufficient money to take care of your needs that you won't think of gambling. He made reference to some rich people, who don't gamble because they have sufficient money to even gift to charity but that those rich who still gamble are only addicted to it not just because of the money. Therefore, that the percentage of the rich gambling is very small compared to those in middle class and lower class.

So my question is, is the percentage of the rich gambling lower than the middle and lower class?
Some might be gambling for that reason, but honestly I don't think that it is the reason why most of the middle or lower class gamble.
If you don't have sufficient money why would you even risk what you have?
For me only fools would do it, we could all agree that our main goal in gambling is the profit, but it isn't the only reason why we gamble.
All of us have different reason why we gamble aside from aiming to gain profit.
And for me it is either to relief some stress or enjoy time with my friends.
243  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi's first tweet since 2018? on: October 03, 2023, 05:04:50 PM
LOL!
Satoshi has been gone for more than 2 decades now, and even back in 2018 most people didn't believe that it is the real creator who is posting on tweeter.
Satoshi wants anonymity so why would the creator of Bitcoin post on social media?
I think most of us already know why this accont has been created it is just for publicity.
244  Economy / Economics / Re: How to avoid over expenses and have discipline on: September 14, 2023, 01:40:20 AM
For me consistency is my problem,
Yup I know why and where my money is draining or why I am having trouble saving up.
I could budget when I needed but when I have my salary or have my money on my hand I tend to spend more than I needed.
Don't get me wrong I am not addicted to anything or have some vices, it is just that I tend to buy more foods than what I really needed.
For example if I know that I have a tight budget till my next pay day or salary I would buy some food and cook it for my self to lessen the expenses and I would choose the cheapest frozen or process food, but when I have money I tend to order up and buy the foods and buy whatever I want to eat without hesitation or looking at it's price.
245  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hypothetical Question on: August 30, 2023, 05:35:45 PM
If someone told you a guaranteed sports bet that had a 100% chance of winning, how much would you bet on it?

If you had a $10,000 bankroll, would you go all in? We’re talking 100% can’t lose bet.

Would you take out a loan? How would you go about acquiring a large sum of money if you didn’t have the capital.

Let’s say the match is starting 24 hours from now, what would be your plan to maximize your profit?

Asking for a friend  Wink
If it is a 100% chance then why wouldn't I go all in on it?
But we all know that there is no such thing as 100% sure win in gambling, even those who have a small chance or what we call underdogs could win.
So if someone would tell me that there is a 100% chance to win in a bet or gambling I would just ignore it.
246  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has nothing to do with crime on: August 17, 2023, 12:20:19 PM
I agree that Bitcoin has nothing to do with crime, it is just being used for it.
I just don't understand why other's would be branded as criminal when they use Bitcoin or crypto even though they haven't done anything illegal.
Yes crypto are being used by criminals but not everyone is using it for illegal purpose.
247  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling experience using loan money on: August 15, 2023, 09:41:50 PM
I only experience this when I was in my teenage days, back then the local internet cafe that I used to play or hang out was the main shop that the locals would go to play and have some bets on their games.
Back then I know the players who would have a match so I know how good they were compared to their enemy team so I am sure that they would win, so I borrowed a small amount of money from my friends and bet on that team to earn and the result was actually how I expect it to be.
But other than that I haven't tried to do it again, I would only borrow to invest or gamble if I am sure of that I would succeed.
248  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would We Pay Taxes When We Don't Exchange Bitcoin for Fiat Anymore? on: August 12, 2023, 08:41:06 PM
In every crypto transaction that we make we are paying transaction fee in order for our transaction to be successful for me it is already considered as tax.
And I don't really understand how would they or the government would tax the people earning in crypto if they don't even know who or how much they are earning if the person wouldn't present it to them?
There are so many ways to hide our asset and I think most of us are well aware of it, and it isn't happening just in crypto this has been on for so long.
So this just proves that if they really want to avoid the tax they would find ways to do it, not just in crypto but also in other assets as well.
249  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A advise to my friend about his decision on: August 10, 2023, 09:39:15 PM
Your friend doesn’t need a personal tutor. Nowadays, everything is available on the internet. If your friend had shown some effort to learn about the coins, he could have learned about them in a shorter period of time. I am still wondering how your friend isn’t aware of Bitcoins, whereas his father was (assuming he was old). Nevertheless, if you want to make him understand Bitcoins, then do a basic introduction, like why to choose Bitcoins and its advantages over the banking system. The rest regarding how to create a wallet and secure the coins can be easily found on YouTube.
Yes I agree with this they could self study if they want to, but we also have to accept that some people tend to learn quicker when they have someone who would clearly teach them about the things that they want to know.
Self studying is good but there are times that having other people to teach you could actually be a lot easier.
250  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC will hit new high, as crypto bull billionaire predict on: August 09, 2023, 11:56:18 AM
Most of us are expecting it, but even if it hits a new ATH would it stay there this time?
Everytime the it creates a new record it would only be for a short time and it would go back down again.
Everytime Bitcoin is halving we expect it to create a new record cause it has been that way in the previous halvings.
251  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: can Bitcoin provide food for our table on: August 08, 2023, 02:20:22 AM
Yes Bitcoin could put food on the table but it depends on our own skills on how much we could make.
There are some who are successful crypto earners and that doesn't mean that everyone could make it like them.
Earning requires skills and knowledge and it isn't just in crypto but in everything as well (Business and working).
252  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day trading is perfect work for jobless peoples on: July 26, 2023, 05:19:53 PM
Trading perfect job for jobless people?
Yes trading could let you earn on your own time when you want, but how about the capital if they missed out or lose then it is the end for them since they don't have any other source of income.
I don't think that they could really survive with just trading, just think about their daily expenses where would they get it?
253  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can gambling and crypto trading be considered as skills with $10k gain a month? on: July 24, 2023, 11:39:13 PM
These skills listed, come with a guarantee to yield at least $10k/month profit in 2023 right now:
•SEO/SEM
•Design/UX
•Tik Tok ads
•Storytelling
•Copywriting
•Ghostwriting
• Email Marketing
• Social Media Management
~Snip~
The skills that you've mention could let you earn but that doesn't guarantee that much, there are some who got those skills but they aren't earning as much as you've said so having those skills doesn't really guarantee that you'll earn that amount.
• Can  gambling or crypto trading/crypto investment be considered as a skill?
For me trading and gambling required a lot of skills in order to be successful in that field so why shouldn't they be considered as a skill?
We also call some of the successful people on those field as a professional so I don't see why it shouldn't be considered as one?
• Can a gambler or crypto trader/crypto investor earn as much as $10k in a month besides any of the aforementioned skills?
In order for a gambler or trader to earn that much monthly you need to also be clear about the capital that we are talking here cause earning $10K a month could really be easy for those who have a huge capital, if their playing or trading with a huge amount then they only need to have a small percentage in order to get that $10K.
• is it even okay to classify being a bitcoiner/signature/campaign member as a skill? If yes, under what skill bracket can it be included?
Bitcoiner/Signature/Campaign members could be considered as a skill, we are communicating when we answer or reply to other users, some are even telling stories and it is a skill that you've mention that would guarantee a $10K per month.
254  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Farmer's Bitcoin Investment on: July 24, 2023, 01:09:25 AM
First of I hope that every one of those farmer knows the risk of the investment that they would take.
This is how people got screwed before, they would jump in base on someone else successful story not knowing the risk that the person took on his investment.
It is true that those successful stories are truly inspiring for us to invest just imagine how their life change because of crypto, but we also need to face reality that it isn't a quick rich investment and there are ups and downs, maybe some of those stories are just on luck that they got in on the right time.
We need to be aware that this is an investment and we could also lose just like most off the investor here.
255  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin according to Satoshi is digital money then why call it investment. on: July 19, 2023, 12:49:44 AM
Anything is an investment, honestly when I first learn about crypto or study crypto the first thing that goes in my mind was forex trading.
And even when I am explaining crypto or Bitcoin to other I still used forex to make it easier for them, I compare crypto into forex and they would also agree.
The only difference is Bitcoin and other crypto are decentralized while forex are all centralized.
256  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Avoid Procrastination, Buy Bitcoin And Prepare For The Next Halving. on: July 18, 2023, 01:38:11 AM
I am putting every drop of my excess money into Bitcoin and trying to keep it till the next halving,
Hoping that this could be another one to create a new ATH or even just be close to the current ATH price.
I want to accumulate as early as possible before it starts to fly high again, and I know that we would see so many insane speculation about the price again when it starts to go high in an insane speed.
257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: Bull/Bear Market Which Do you Prefer? on: July 17, 2023, 01:45:18 AM
It would depend on what move I want to make,
If I am about to liquidate then of course I would like to have a bull market to maximize my profit.
But if I want to invest then I would like it to be on the Bear market to have a huge discount on my investment.
They are both great in their own terms we just need to accept them and use the opportunity that the market is making or giving us.
258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hodling Bitcoin on: July 16, 2023, 02:06:52 AM
Separate your funds into two wallets.

Cold storage for holding BTC's that you don't want to spend anytime soon, this wallet should either be a hardware wallet or an Electrum wallet on an air-gapped device.

Hot wallet for holding BTC's for spending, funds in this wallet should be at least < or = $100, funds in this wallet would be for spending or for daily expenses. Dca is a great way to accumulate BTC's in your cold storage and whenever funds in your hot wallet goes down, you can 'refill' it for spending. This will help you to get the optimal balance between spending and holding.
Yes this is the most effective way for me to hold my crypto,
I would use my online wallet (Trading platforms, exchange or any type of online wallet) for those crypto that I would be using for transactions such as trading to earn more and crypto that I could easily liquidate.
I would then send of some portion of my earnings to my hardware wallet (Crypto or non-crypto earnings) to secure it and hold it for as long as I want or until the price or date that I've set has been met.
259  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is actually a Bitcoin investor on: July 10, 2023, 12:07:12 AM
When someone has a particular wallet which he spends Bitcoins from can he be considered a Bitcoin investor?
Or does the term investor refer only to those who hodl Bitcoin?
He is investing in Bitcoin when he bought it and use the wallet so for me he could or should be considered as an investor.
As long as you invested on something no matter how big or small it is, it is still an investment so you are already considered as an investor.
And for time frame I don't think that it is really important as I've mention before as long as you invested on it no matter how big or small your investment it or how long it has been it is already an investment so you are already an investor.
260  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Being Knowledgeable before Bitcoin investment is very Good on: July 05, 2023, 03:47:12 AM
Knowledge is power, and I believe that it is true if you are knowledgeable you know how to handle most things or events, and that also includes in crypto or investment.
In order to be successful we have to learn how to manage our investment and when to trade our asset, so it is important to know more before investing and to avoid being scammed.
