481  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A good way to promote Bitcoin or not? on: January 16, 2023, 07:11:16 PM
So my wife and i has a big wine 🍇 store and this includes other drinks as well, we sell in packs, and loads of people always come around to buy from us, I am thinking if this is a good opportunity to start promoting Bitcoin? I mean if some can pay Bitcoin for goods and services it will help even if they are few.
There are so many business owners who are doing it even if it is just a small business it is still for publicity and people around you would be aware of it.
I believe this can make people start wondering what Bitcoin is and I will be waiting for questions like
Curiosity could always work that is how some of us got into crypto honestly it is also part of the reason why I got into it.
What is bitcoin?
Whenever I got that question I would just tell them that it is a cryptocurrency a digital money that has been created to give us financial freedom and anonymity.
What benefits come from using it as payment?
Cashless transaction other than that it would really depends on the seller some gives out discount for using crypto as a payment on their business.
Then I will give my answer and see if any people become more interested in it, some have heard about it but they have a wrong perspective of what Bitcoin is leading to believe it's a scam.  What do you think?
It has been that way ever since the beginning there are always some people who thinks that it is a scam, even some of my relatives thinks that it was a scam when I first introduce it to them, they were thinking that who on earth would buy a single piece of coin with that much value.
They just need to understand and we just need to explain it much more or detailed that is how I dealt with it.
482  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I now accept bitcoin payments in my Beauty shop on: January 12, 2023, 06:17:49 PM
More and more business are now accepting crypto even small transportation and small business are now accepting it.
It is a great news for all of us and just a solid proof that it is really here to stay for good for those who are still doubting it.
483  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will 2023 be another up year for Bitcoin? on: January 12, 2023, 01:52:42 AM
Bitcoin drop so low last year so yes for me I am expecting it to go higher than what it is right now by the end of this year.
The question would be when would this pump start and how long would it be? I hope that it wouldn't be just another pump and dump scenario when it starts to recover.
484  Economy / Economics / Re: A career - as an employee or a business owner which do you prefer and why? on: January 11, 2023, 03:25:56 PM
I prefer to be a business owner but if the job is paying a good amount of money then why wouldn't I take it?
I like to be a business owner because they hold their own time unlike being an employee they need to be on time.
And when you are a business owner even if you decide to take a leave or you would still have an income unlike when you're an employee when you leave or skip work it would affect your salary.
485  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You Learn More from Losses than from Wins on: January 11, 2023, 12:44:22 AM
Sometimes failure could be our best lesson in life, we could learn a lot of thins from our own failure.
And I agree to OP that failure could make us realize a lot and wake us up to reality.
I feel so proud and powerful back then when I was gaining so much from my success but one mistake took it all and made me realize so much.
486  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people store their cryptocurrency on exchanges? on: January 09, 2023, 06:32:44 PM
Maybe they are just saving their time and fee for sending it when they need to convert it into Fiat, or maybe they don't really have other wallet than their trading sites.
Some of my relatives who also tried crypto only have exchange wallets they don't really have ledger or other wallet before I introduce it to them (Online Wallet like MEW).
487  Economy / Speculation / Re: what If Bitcoin Price never comes up on: January 08, 2023, 04:22:30 PM

please explain me why bitcoin will make another all time high

Most of the Time Bitcoin would climb up before the Halving and those time are when Bitcoin makes a New ATH.
or explain some circumstances in that bitcoin's price  will go more low and never or after long times later comes up
The price of crypto depends on the demand and there are so many factors which affect it just like news about it that would create (FUD or FOMO).
But for me as long as it have a value then there would still be a chance for it to come back.
488  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would you do if you found others' keys? on: January 05, 2023, 06:15:09 PM
It would really depend,
What if the private key has already been leaked or posted online? Then it is pretty much just a giveaway so I would just take it.
I once saw someone just dropping private key to give out some crypto.
489  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Today is Bitcoin's 14th birthday on: January 04, 2023, 06:34:08 PM
It has already been 14 years and it has shown so much improvement.
And some still thinks that crypto would die from this downfall.
490  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is here to stay. on: January 03, 2023, 06:08:27 PM
It has been through so many hardship so many dramas but I believe that crypto would stay for good.
There are so many companies that is now using or accepting crypto so it wouldn't die easily because of those dramas.
Crypto has been around for so long even though it is having a hard time now (price drop) I believe that it would soon be back up again.
491  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: History Repeats ignore the FUD 2018 Netflix Show says BTC is garbage @ 6.5K on: January 03, 2023, 02:55:16 AM
It is pretty common back then when Bitcoin was just starting to make a huge noise or name, Whenever the price go down there would be so many people who would act as T.A and predict that it would continue to crash or it is just a waste of investment.
But it always come up and go higher when it starts to recover so I wonder if it would also happen this time, would we see another ATH when it starts to rise up again.
492  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you have 1 bitcoin? on: January 02, 2023, 03:36:06 PM
Hello friends
Do you currently have at least 1 bitcoin?
No But I am trying to accumulate as much as I could since last year I am to have at least 1 Whole Bitcoin, and hope that I could finally achieve it this year real soon.
Many people sold their bitcoins after quite a big drop, but i am sure there are people who still hodl a large amount of bitcoins
And i always wonder what motivates those people
Faith, hope, unemotional analytics or the ability to see the future? Cheesy
You don't need to own 1 or even a huge amount to know their motivation we all have our reason why we keep on holding it even though it drop down.
Some of us have believes that it would still make it big and hit another ATH.
Please, answer only those who really own at least 1 bitcoin

How would you know if those who answer before me really have at least 1 whole Bitcoin if they wouldn't state it or even if they would how would you know if its true?
We all could lie here and tell you that we own xx amount of Bitcoin or crypto?
493  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cashless Gambling, your thought? on: January 02, 2023, 01:47:45 AM
Have you ever thought of a government implementing a Cashless gambling?  Making hard cash obsolete for gambling purposes?  Armenia is currently pushing this law that force their gambler to do gambling transaction via bank[1].  It was stated that the said law is created so that the government can tax gambling institutions effectively.  They also add an additional requirement that the gambling establishment needs to pay in order to get the desired licenses on how much  bet the establishment can accept.

This may look profitable for the government but I believe it will hit hard gamblers.  With the implementation of cashless gambling, gamblers are now exposed since they have to use their credit cards or debit card to play.  (Another way of the government to spy on their citizen.)

In a positive note, minors gambling incident would greatly reduced because the gambling transaction can now be traced via bank statement, except if these minors can freely use their parent's cards.

May take on this.. screw the government if we really wanted to do cashless gambling, there is always a cryptocurrency gambling platform option where we can at least play gambling without the need to use our bank account.

So what do you think about this cashless gambling, is this another breakthrough of the gambling industry or just a way of the government to track their citizen and earn from the gambling establishment.

The way I see it the government just want to keep track on it at the same time they would earn from this tax.
I would agree to you that we are already been into cashless gambling with the help of crypto currency this is why I really love it,
We could keep our anonymity of course not on all the gambling website there are still sites that doesn't really required a KYC.
For me this is why crypto currency has been created to give us anonymity and freedom.
494  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto (btc) is not for the weak on: December 31, 2022, 10:32:30 PM
Crypto currency as a whole despite its advantages can be very risky. It appear to me as a battlefield where only the strong can survive and weak ones will eventually give up. I came across this and it worth sharing not to scared us but to build hope in us that we are not alone on this.
It was reported that about 17 wealthiest investors and founders lost about $116 billion in less than a year.
Quote
As a result, 17 of crypto’s wealthiest investors and founders have collectively lost an estimated $116 billion in personal wealth since March, according to Forbes’ estimates. Fifteen of them have lost more than half their fortune over the past nine months. Ten have lost their billionaire status altogether.
Read full details here $116 billion in lost crypto wealth
It's obvious that those who have no trust and hope in crypto have started giving hope and some of them are even selling despite the bad condition of market and end up losing. One thing I'm certain of is that as long as Bitcoin is in existence, all hope is not lost. Let us be strong in order to win this battle together.

Honestly speaking I think it isn't just on crypto but for almost everything, everything that have risk is not for those who are weak.
If you're not ready or prepared for the worst scenario whenever you are taking a risk then you are just fooling yourself.
Expecting everything to be on your expectation is so childish we need to grow and learn that not everything works that way.
And for those Investors they haven't lost it yet for me it would only be considered lost if they already traded their crypto into Fiat and quit.
495  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where is your bitcoin balance at the end of the year? on: December 31, 2022, 07:31:02 AM
I used to keep some of my crypto balance on some trading sites but after sometime I realized that it is better to keep it on your own wallet, where you have your own full ownership so right now all of my crypto are safe in my Ledger.
I only hold it on Ledger since I don't want to trade them or use them anytime soon I am planing to hold them as long as I could.
496  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has anyone ever lost bitcoins before? on: December 27, 2022, 01:57:27 AM
I don't really know how much I have lost but I do remember losing Bitcoin or crypto because of losing my private key.
If we would also consider the amount that has been lost due to scam then there would be huge amount for it.
I hate to recall those memories but they are part of the past and they are the best lesson that I've had.
Because of those event I learn some valuable lesson to always save your private keys and don't easily trust any investment.
497  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you intend to tell loved ones about the bear market? on: December 25, 2022, 10:26:22 PM
Whenever I have some relatives or even close friends who would ask me some crypto or market related question,
I would just explain to them what I know about it in the simplest form that they could also understand.
I have some non-crypto friend or relatives who are interested in it so I would just give out example that they could easily understand.
The key to it is knowing how much they know about the topic.
498  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should your wife or husband know your seed phrase? on: December 23, 2022, 03:26:41 PM
When a man gets married to a woman to become husband and wife, they become one and everyone expects that they can get to share everything with each other. I know of women who have the passwords to their husbands bank cards and they can make withdrawals on his behalf. I will like to ask the Men here if they have shared their seed phrase with their wife's? I will like to ask the women here how they will feel if their husbands refuse telling them their seed phrase?

If my partner is interested in crypto then I would share it with her.
Not everyone is interested on it since they find it difficult to understand or it is too complicated for them.
499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't buy altcoins because they are top altcoins on: December 22, 2022, 06:53:21 PM
Top coins changes since 2013 to 2022

Coinmarketcap Cryptocurrency Historical Data Snapshot

Many coins lose their top positions and many of them are dead coins too. Some dead Bitcoin forks, Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin Gold, Bitcoin SV. Lately in 2022, Terra and FTT are latest top coins fell to the hell.

If you buy altcoins, please don't buy them because they're top coins.

Since 2013, only Bitcoin, Litecoin and Ripple are there till 2022.
Since 2016, Ethereum is always there.
Since 2018, Binance BNB is always there.

Binance looks good with BNB and BUSD. Binance BNB ranked 16th in 2018 and Binance USD ranked at a same position in 2021. Now BNB is at 4th and BUSD is at 6th.
The main point here is don't just buy it learn to dig information first.
Not all of those top listed coin would last forever you should learn when to enter and when to exit.
There are so many crypto out there and most of them would be worthless but some of those could also give you profit if you could ride it perfectly.
500  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It's been 2 months and now I am doing well.(I guess). on: December 21, 2022, 11:44:41 PM
You are already using Binance pay which supports Bitcoin transaction too.
My customers are not comfortable holding their BTC in Binance, so there were no transaction made with that.

It’s good to see how booming your business. Are you charging some premium when they are paying in crypto since there’s a chance that you will get less once you convert it on fiat.
No, I charge them regular. But I am thinking to add 5% discount to anyone who pays with crypto. Hopefully that will attract those who doesn't use crypto.
hopefully that will help me grow more

Well to be honest 5% discount would be really tempting for those who are new to crypto, and it is a great way to promote your business and cryptocurrency at the same time in your area.
And crypto are being used as a currency this time and not as an investment tool so great job OP.
