People's Republic of California.

LMAO  Cheesy

btw.: It's sad for TradeHill and I really hope that they're not in trouble or sth. - I really hope, that a few small exchanges are getting bigger, 'cause Mt. Gox is too big at the moment.

btw 2.: It would be great to see the source code of their platform, so someone else can start an exchange (outside the US)

I hope it's not a typo  Shocked

But who uses it?
0.001% of Internet users?  Tongue

0.001% use it all the time Wink (I also use it sometimes), but there are probably more blind internet users and I think FB is not really easy to use (and useful) for blind people...
1844  Other / Off-topic / Re: Social Network on: February 02, 2012, 06:18:59 PM
Had you ever worked on your own websites you would've understood that it is a waste of resources to care about some browsers (netscape, IE6 and older, etc.)
Yes, I know a lot of people are still using old IEs but fortunately companies are moving away from supporting them.

w3m is not old, it's just text-based.

New features:
0 confirmation deposits

What the ....? Do you really mean 0 confirmation deposits?  Huh You shouldn't accept deposits without a few confirmations (it's not hard to send out a non-legit transaction, which never gets confirmed) unless you mean transactions from an exchange or so...
1846  Economy / Services / Re: *** Get over 9,000 new Twitter Followers Only 4 BTC! *** on: February 01, 2012, 07:23:07 PM
And how much for 10SockPuppets that do nothing more than Yell and Rage at someone

LOL I wonder what you need that for Grin

I'd like to develop this, if someone wants to pay for it with BTC Wink

It´s working and it was also faster delivered than he promised.
Good service +1

seems legit +1

If Luke-Jr and Coinhunter showed up to court to fight this...

They would get laughed out of the building...

For good reasons..

Errr.... courts on TV != courts IRL
1848  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solidcoin DMCA takedown on: January 31, 2012, 04:47:07 PM
So you're saying it's bad when it effects you but it's not bad when it effects someone else?  That seems to be a sign of very poor character....  I'm not going to weigh in because this whole mess is retarded but some of you lot need to reevaluate your morale high ground (on both sides of the fence)

No, I didn't say that. You're implying that. It's also bad, when it doesn't affect me depending on it's usage (e.g. music I don't like, but other people do). In this situation it wasn't bad, because it wasn't a big company trying to make more money using DMCA as usual. It was the average guy. The open source license was easy to read and understand and was clearly violated. And if open-source did not work, there wouldn't be a project like Bitcoin or other stuff based on it.

I would have preferred a much better tool than DMCA. However, DMCA is what we have to work with. We don't have that "better tool". Innocent-until-proven-guilty doesn't stop the police from arresting a suspect before trial. I see DMCA (and potential better tools) as the same thing. The only difference here is that RealSolid is avoiding the trial by running.

I'm not sure about the legal situation in the US, but I think you & RealSolid don't want to go to a court to resolve this.
1849  Economy / Marketplace / Re: FeedZeBirds.com - Bitcoin Twitter Ad Platform [ANN] on: January 31, 2012, 02:42:43 PM
They already said that they fixed the twitter problem, just implmenting new features to the site/platform. Hopefully up sooner than later.

Hopefully 120 or more characters per message
1850  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solidcoin DMCA takedown on: January 31, 2012, 02:38:54 PM
It's quite sad how he wants DMCA/SOPA installed around the world. People like him are the reason for the increasingly sad state of the world.

Legit source for this? IMHO: DMCA is a bad thing in most situations, but luke-jr didn't use it in a bad/abusive way.

Ban for trolling? Attheveryleast?

1851  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: GLBSE and bitmarketwatch.com on: January 28, 2012, 04:03:49 PM
Does anyone know what has happened to [urlhttp://www.bitmarketwatch.com/][/url] or know of any other blogs/websites about GLBSE listed products?

Peter Lambert was the owner of bitmarketwatch.com and it looks like he doesn't want to use GLBSE & Bitcoin anymore.

This website is pretty similiar to Bit Market Watch, but there are no new updates about GLBSE: http://btcstocktrader.com/

1853  Economy / Marketplace / Re: List of GLBSE Non-Active/Scam Assets Shares on: January 23, 2012, 08:49:21 AM
GLBSE 2.0 is beta testing and he claims he'll remove all the scam/questionable/dead assets when they move to the new site

I really hope they're going to verify ownership of websites (like "upload xiwgfzrg8fetur835.txt to your domain and put your jshrcg895589fnh8 in it"), e-mail addresses and maybe even the physical address.
1854  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] MergedMining BTC/NMC Mining Company on: January 23, 2012, 08:27:11 AM
I'd like to see new motions on MergedMining and other mining companies (FPGA.contract, TyGrr, etc.) to find out if shareholders want to support P2SH

1856  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] LIF.A, LIF.B, LIF.CX, and LIF.M on: January 18, 2012, 03:37:15 PM
I have been selling off the GLBSE assets held by the fund, but it appears many of the buy offers were not real, and I was only able to recover a small amount for the assets held. Many of the GLBSE assets turned out to be scams.

This sucks, I think GLBSE should only add verified businesses with real names, addresses, phone numbers,  etc. but errr....you knew that there's no verification on new assets so why didn't YOU check, if they are legit?

1858  Other / Meta / Re: Should this subforum be closed? on: January 11, 2012, 05:18:27 PM
AFAIK, this subforum was created to do keep other subforums free from alt currency clutter.

So if it gets closed, it's assumed that the clutter would just go elsewhere.

sadly, this

If there's no subforum for this and there are some people with moderation rights, you can simply ban them for a few days for being off-topic. Permanently if this person continues to post something like that.
1859  Other / Meta / Should the "Alternate cryptocurrencies" subforum be closed? on: January 11, 2012, 05:10:26 PM
Hi,

I'd like to ask the community, if this subforum should be closed, because I think that the discussions in this subforum are getting worse every day and it would be better for a new cryptocurrency to start somewhere else, since we didn't see any reasonable innovations in here. Also: I think a lot of us are NOT happy about the current situation on bitcointalk.org and this "coin war", because both Bitcoin users and users of alternative blockchains could do something useful instead of posting hateful comments.

Time to vote: 7 days.

P.S.: I hope the admins of bitcointalk.org close it, if the majority of us votes "Yes" .
1860  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solidcoin DMCA takedown on: January 10, 2012, 04:45:05 PM
It's the first time I ever heard about an open-source developer making use of DMCA. I don't really like the idea of DMCA at all, but now it pwnd SC and made me laugh.
