Deposit address:12TTFAQKN4ntPwYLEvKMX9PMeWUYdPptZ3

SCAM!!!!
They took my 520BTC and run!

1.The total amount was 520 BTC?
2.You're already saying that you won't get the repayment? (Payback due: Jan 31, 2013)

So what happened?
1742  Other / Off-topic / Re: Akinator doesn't know Satoshi Nakamoto on: October 07, 2012, 02:15:56 PM
After few rounds he will ask you about name and short description of a person. If enough people Answer his questions and write Satoshis name in the end, he will remember him.

Done. I've also added him to the german version  Smiley
1743  Economy / Speculation / Re: I have reason to believe there is a correction happening on: October 07, 2012, 12:06:24 PM
Some of these threads say the most obvious things like " I have reason to believe the price is going down".....oh really?

I have reason to believe that 1 BTC will be worth exactly 100,000,000 satoshis tomorrow. Also: I don't give a fuck about the exchange rate.
1744  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does the Bitcoin Foundation seek the taxability of bitcoins? on: October 07, 2012, 10:36:17 AM
Gavin could sneak in code that steals 10% of all bitcoin transactions  to pay tax  Cheesy

A built-in feature would be very difficult to implement. e.g. if I'm using Bitcoin behind TOR where should I pay my taxes and who verifies that I haven't specified a country with lower tax rates?

And in many countries you'll be paying a goods and services tax (or some other kind sales/transaction) tax each time you buy or sell gold as well as tax on any increase in its value between purchase and sale.  And even if the gold itself isn't subject to any taxes, if you make something out of it and sell that product a value added or sales tax of some kind is often applied.

The manner in which something is being used often determines its taxation liability.  I don't pay tax on money per se, but I do pay tax on money I receive as income (although not on money I receive as gifts or windfalls).  I pay tax on certain types of financial transactions.  If I trade currency, then I'll have a taxation liability in respect of that trading.  "Money" per se isn't taxable where I live, but many of its uses are - although those taxes are often invisible because they're included in the cost of goods and services.

I'd say almost every Bitcoin-accepting business is already paying taxes on Bitcoin income, because companies are converting BTC to fiat - making it taxable income.
1745  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does the Bitcoin Foundation seek the taxability of bitcoins? on: October 06, 2012, 03:54:28 PM
sorry saying this, but i hope so!

There's no other way out of the underground. I know very much want to stay underground.

This. If we want Bitcoin to succeed and not to vanish we need to work on its acceptance. This will include taxes even if most of the people here are seeking a secure tax heaven (and a New World Order).

There are no taxes for gold in many countries, why should Bitcoin be treated differently?
1746  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Glbse.com schliesst on: October 06, 2012, 11:53:45 AM

Too big to fail" Unternehmen. Natürlich werde ich die Diskussionen verfolgen und meine Anteile zurückfordern, aber so eine Katastrophe ist das nun auch nicht.
1747  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GLBSE closed for good on: October 06, 2012, 10:33:52 AM
And another bet that can be closed Smiley

No seriously, this is bad news for bitcoin Sad Had hoped to raise some funds there myself. No explanations and some nameless "GLBSE treasurer" … doesn't mean they pull a "we got robbed" like so many before. Either way sad story.

Wait a second:

This bet concerns the securities exchange site glbse.com.

For this statement to be false, on November 1 2012 at 12:00 AM UTC, the gblse.com website must be online and accessible to internet users, users must be able to log in, and users must be able to execute both buy and sell trades on the listed securities. At least 5 securities must be listed.

lol http://gblse.com/
1748  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Glbse.com schliesst on: October 06, 2012, 09:20:11 AM

Da wusste wohl jemand was.
1749  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcointalk is coming back to the front page of Google results for 'Bitcoin' on: October 05, 2012, 07:30:49 PM
One suggestion I heard is that they make more money on ads by having worse search results quality and thus pushing people to click on paid ads (that are suddenly more relevant than natural search) and by making people click on pages 2 3 4 etc... in search of something relevant.

Makes sense if Google needs money quickly, but in the long term users will use other search engines…

bitcointalk.org is somewhere in the middle of page 2 for me (in Austria).

thats all. im verified,  the video was extremely helpful.

Which video? The Keiser Report mentioned #bitcoin-otc, but they didn't really explain it.
1751  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [POLL] Barack Obama Vs. Mitt Romney 2012 US presidential elections on: October 04, 2012, 06:44:17 AM
Where's the "I don't give a fuck" option on this poll?

How will it affect the value of the currency?

I don't think the elections will affect Bitcoin or any fiat currency…
1752  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin ever did go completely mainstream... on: October 04, 2012, 06:37:03 AM
Ever played any online game with ingame currency? There are no pricetags in dollars. Well at least used to in Diablo III that is possible too. The difference here is item prices in dollar follow their ingame gold value not verse visa.
That's the point I'm trying to make if bitcoin started as a trading tool for something valuable but not necessarily costly (for example game items or pictures) it would have evolved very differently. It's already too late for that since we have almost half of all bitcoins valued in dollar instead of something fundamental.

I wouldn't say it's too late to change that…
1753  Economy / Economics / Re: Feasibility of Creating a 5-BitCoin Currency on: October 04, 2012, 06:08:16 AM
In the same way a $5 bill is worth five $1 bills.  What challenges would this present?  Is this technically feasible?  Would it help stabilize the currency?  Discuss.

It's difficult and I think it looks horrible: http://imgur.com/T8OZu

What do you think is currently the best country to start a "bitcoin" business ?
I think it is important to define, what we mean with "best".

I think the best country to start a Bitcoin business is Finland at the moment.

But i do understand your point, i like old computers/pda/phones ect. Because to me they are built to last way longer then these new cheap part crap computers/tablets/phones - i have some crazy gadgets that i can install linux and stuff, but there is no
point because it has so low ram and even sites will make it slow as hack.

But thats technology for us, since its evolving and spreading more then the black death in Europe - so now technology business owners just make new tablets/netbook just to make some money and people who buy it have to ether throw it out or sell for 1/10 the price so they can upgrade there machines and the process starts all over again 3 months later :-/ </I>

<P>I also don't hate it, but I don't like the memory usage and javascript, flash, etc making it difficult to watch websites on old devices or in text-based browsers like w3m and lynx</P></FONT>

to make Bitcoin transactions absolutely anonymous

FYI: Being absolutely anonymous is technically impossible on the internet and in real life.
