third party dictating to others what to do with their money.
How is Vod "dictating to others what to do with their money"? I could still buy those MSDN keys if I wanted to, but I for one appreciate to be warned about shady people. I checked his ratings and they all seem reasonable. If you were to enforce the TOS of every company out there THERE WOULD BE NOTHING TO TRADE. So the question isn't about people maybe getting away with something, its about which is worse, that or this pandora's box of imposition on the trading environment by a demonstrated tyrant like VOD.
How about real goods or services?

The following countries could take action against BTC-e:
- the United States (taking their .com domain name, Cloudflare and GoDaddy) - the United Kingdom (freezing funds of their payment provider) - Australia / New Zealand (via Instra.com) - Latvia (freezing the SEPA account of their payment provider) - Hong Kong (freezing their Perfect Money funds) - Russia (freezing their Yandex Money funds) - their home country

Bitcoin / Press / Re: Guidelines for Press board

I think we could use some clarification re 'Press' section. I don't think articles from bitcoin/crypto news services (CoinDesk, Cointelegraph etc) should be posted in this board, since basically all their articles are bitcoin related.
Shouldn't it be limited to mainstream or non-crypto press hits?
I agree. Many of these Bitcoin news websites are quite new and don't have the reputation of major news outlets (some of them promoted the paycoin scam, etc.).

I can't believe you're happy that they are dodging the laws and remaining anonymous. Your praises will stop when you come upon an empty account and have noone to turn to. I hope it won't happen, but people actually start to like the law and authorities once they are in trouble. I have nothing against Btc-e, but a bit of transparency never killed anyone.
+1 the Bitcoin economy could be much safer if they did basic identity checks like any other exchange.

It's certainly not true , people buy it for easy trades! Still selling guys , PM me
Easy trades? There are enough people offering escrow for free or almost free - selling trusted accounts only helps scammers to trick newbies into trading without escrow.

Could you elaborate what your main concern is? Did they state to not have a cold wallet or something? As long as they have 95% in cold wallets, I assume they will bail out anybody who looses money due to their fault.
1.They are not taking action against dishonest people - they could drastically reduce the number by banning all Tor/VPN/Proxy users and requiring ID from all users. 2.They are not working to improve their credit rating -> dealing with them may have a negative impact on your own credit rating. 3.I don't know about their cold wallet/hot wallet policy, but they still don't use multisig...

I dont think russia has very strict laws about this.
Maybe Russia is less strict when it comes to AML/KYC, but Russians are not allowed to use Bitcoin Probably because no one really knows where they are from. So you can't say they are something illegal if you don't know which laws apply to them.
A UK company named Mayzus Financial Services Limited certainly knows who's behind BTC-e, since they are processing payments for them.
