1841  Economy / Economics / Re: Akon City.Is Wakanda the real world version? Can it help the African economy? on: January 08, 2022, 01:18:39 AM
Wakanda has a monopoly of vibranium which is a sought after metal by many countries for it's properties that's unique to it which means that Akon City has to have something that's unique to their city that they're the monopoly of it and given the development speed of the city, I don't think it's ever close to being called Wakanda.
1842  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: We are looking for Bitcoin Angel Investors on: January 06, 2022, 05:00:04 AM
You're claim won't be taken seriously by many people because a smart and rational person would know that doubling your money is definitely not a real thing and it's too good to be true. Plus, angel investors are going to be a big problem because most of them are probably money launderers trying to clean their money.
1843  Economy / Reputation / Re: 'Not all 1xbit promoters are scammers' on: January 06, 2022, 04:26:40 AM
Yeah, but you are an enabler to a proven scammer so what's the difference? You're statement literally translates to " It's not my fault that I promote them even though they are a scammer." That's the only way around it, and don't try to twist it around. An enabler is as bad as the perpetrator.
1844  Economy / Economics / Re: No where is actually safe on: January 06, 2022, 02:35:01 AM
The technology is safe and all, the only problem like any cause of the problem is the people, if people are stupid and careless, even a bouncy castle can kill someone. A little introspection can help a lot sometimes, maybe it's not the tech but maybe it's the one who uses it.
1845  Economy / Economics / Re: 2022 Savings and investment plan on: January 06, 2022, 01:46:22 AM
It's better to make a background check which is the most ideal coin or asset good to invest in. For me, bitcoin is one of the most ideal it's already concrete and give a good profit and outcomes. But of course, be careful on the market volatility, not all the time it gives a good profit there's a supply and demand too. If you are planning to invest with altcoins it's a high risk-reward because not all the time they rise sometimes Rug pull happens.
Most of the time, I would agree with you that bitcoin should be a priority investment but right now, I don't think so. Bitcoin is for long-term so that can only mean that you can slowly build it up. What we need to focus on are the potential ones to boom because making passive income isn't going to be enough if you want to build your wealth.
1846  Other / Off-topic / Re: Theranos and the limits of Hype on: January 06, 2022, 01:03:41 AM
It wasn't all just hype though, Theranos have a lot of right people paid to make it all seem real, and the CEO of the company, Elizabeth Holmes is an accomplished sociopath that was able to lie to the doctors that visited her laboratories and even one of the former Secretary of State. Holmes really found a great niche in an industry so important that she knew that they're going to ignore some small problems or anomalies here and there that she was able to pull off the scam.
1847  Economy / Services / Re: Investigating Caller on: January 05, 2022, 03:29:29 PM
That's more like cold callers or even telemarketers, also wouldn't it be difficult for you to get someone to say the truth when you ask them on the phone? Journalists or at the least the investigative one's even go undercover for their subjects just so they can make sure that tthey can get the biggest scoop in the story.
1848  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Bitcoin mistake In 2020-2021 on: January 05, 2022, 02:51:47 PM
Brother, I agree with you If anyone wants to invest in cryptocurrency I would tell them you only invest in bitcoin. Today's small investment may make you much richer in the future can make. When Bitcoin hit the market in 2009 you saw its price and now you see today's price so you can all come up with ideas on how much Bitcoin can make people rich. Another thing to note is that in the last 10 years Bitcoin has been the most profitable stock market in the world and why don't you invest in anything. No one can predict how much the price of bitcoin will increase in the future. Maybe we will have a lot of regrets in the future why we didn't buy bitcoin so I will tell everyone that the safest investment is bitcoin
Small investment isn't enough to make someone rich, maybe you'll get large amounts of money but that probably won't last long if you don't put some part of that profit in reinvestment which is going to definitely make things much worse for you because that means that you're content with having just that amount of money.
1849  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Happy 13th Birthday, Bitcoin. You are a teenager now! on: January 05, 2022, 04:45:58 AM
On 3rd  January there is the birthday of bitcoin. Bitcoin came into existence On 3 January 2009. And  Satoshi Nakamoto started blockchain technology mining on the above date. Now bitcoin has completed more than one decade of its age. It got much popularity in the period of 13 period and millions of the people joined this business. There is also good development in its value & impotance.
I think that it's not yet the full potential of bitcoin though, I think that it's no-brainer that we will probably see bitcoin growing ever more and eventually, the critics won't be able to just hate on it anymore, when the growth happens, we will eventually see more people changing sides.
1850  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Donald Trump Says Crypto Is 'Very Dangerous' ... but ... on: January 05, 2022, 03:57:20 AM
Call it hypocrisy or whatever but it seems to me a sly tactic or a veteran move that will somehow assure them that whichever way things go they are benefitting from it one way or another. If there is a battle against fiat and whatever crypto hype there is right now, they better have a stake in both. Although they are heavily staked in USD and may not like crypto, since NFT is already reaching tens of billions of trades, they better get themselves involved in it as well.
That's what it is, we know how shrewd of a businessman if not a person Trump is so I don't think that it's really not surprising that he is doing this kind of hypocritical contradictions. Also, I don't think Trump is just sitting there being a crypto hatter and seeing the massive profits it can bring in when you have the right amount of money to invest in.
1851  Economy / Economics / Re: LEGO Sets Are Better Investments than Stocks, Bonds or Even Gold on: January 04, 2022, 04:45:13 AM
They're a collectible and they do not generate daily or even annual income so I don't think that LEGO are a better investment than stocks or bonds not to mention that it's difficult to find a discontinued LEGO because they don't discontinue their sets easily and at the same time, no one knows which one's going to get discontinued.
1852  Economy / Economics / Re: If the government loses control of the financial system, we have a fall back on: January 04, 2022, 03:38:23 AM
Countries will end up in a worse position though if they don't use their own currency (and switch to another country's fiat).

Bitcoin and most cryptocurrencies lack the throughput to allow mass adoption as a currency so far imo.
Exactly, and it's unlikely that a country would lose it's control over their banking system because that's basically the lifeblood of the nation and if you compare it to human body, you would find ways to stop the bleeding, maybe people who uses crypto will have something to fall back in but I don't think that it will be enough.
1853  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoins and Video games on: January 04, 2022, 03:05:48 AM
Closest you wull ever be is with developing your own blockchain games although it doesn't involve bitcoin as you're going to be creating your own token. I think there was a mod of Minecraft already existing that pays in bitcoin although I don't see if it had gained traction.
1854  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid crisis leaves Sri Lanka on brink of bankruptcy on: January 04, 2022, 01:31:31 AM
That doesn't sound good at the moment. But I regret why China got involved in this crisis after they wanted to help?
Sri Lanka owes too much to China which will eventually worsen its financial situation. It's really not great, but maybe they had no other choice last year when it came to solving some of their country's financial problems. China's insistence on Sri Lanka to pay off its debts will only make things worse, I'm not sure Sri Lanka will be able to pay off [its debt installments] even though the government is optimistic about it.
They owe so much money because they can't pay the debt in the first place and it's not the money that China is after when they set this debt traps in poor nations, they want the territories that the infrastructures that were built using the money that they've lent to this country. I don't think that it's impossible for Sri Lanka to pay the debt with the pandemic still ravaging the world.
1855  Economy / Economics / Re: Introducing a state-issued cryptocurrency on: January 04, 2022, 12:34:15 AM
Just like what China did, they ban all kinds of crypto and then try to introduce something to the population that's basically the same but with the downside of being stupid and invades someone's privacy. I don't think that it's a good move, India should've just let crypto proliferate in their country and just benefited from the growth.
1856  Economy / Economics / Re: Robert Kiyosaki expects a market crash and economic crisis - do you believe it? on: January 03, 2022, 11:29:14 PM
He wrote a book and his basic message is hold and use your own property largely because its one of the most tax favorable assets you can have.   Not sure I have the patience to listen to him more then that, it is a biased system and its not fair or actually a properly capitalist based economy but that can be stated alot more succinctly then he manages.
Theres a few like him that can be listened to in variable amounts, I wouldnt exactly recommend them as they all have faults in their approach but its good to recognize long term success each 'expert' might have had.
You don't necessarily have to listen to them though, take in the words that they say and decide for yourself what you think makes sense, listening to this people say stuff don't mean that you have to be a yes man.
1857  Economy / Economics / Re: This why wall street are rich and you are poor on: January 02, 2022, 01:58:13 PM
Oh, so it's not because the poor people have been systematically oppressed by the ruling class and any form of making money is crippled that only those that was borne of high status can achieve. Not everyone is like those Wall Street douchebags so your point isn't valid.
I don't think rich individuals are actually to blame for people who do not have so much money, I mean many people had to work really hard to get to where they are now, they also make smart and astute moves and took out time for self development, and there have also been poor people who along the line made life changing decisions that made them rich, what I'm saying is I'm of the believe that the ability to make wealth sometimes rest in our hands/decisions we make, I know there are people that had things easy for them from birth, but there have also been others who struggled to get it to the top, so no need blaming anyone. Having said that, I'd rather blame some corrupt government that embezzle national funds for their own benefits, they are bigger problems than private rich individuals.
Yes, there are those that have worked hard and I think it's a noble pursuit but once they have a taste of power and influence at the top, they're going to start systemically making everyone poor, I mean you don't want everyone to be well off and not dependent on you right? Lobbying won't exist if the rich doesn't want poor people to stay poor. They have a part in those misery.
1858  Economy / Economics / Re: New Year - The crypto economics on: January 02, 2022, 06:47:15 AM
I think that if I ever hit just one big win in crypto this year, I might be able to snowball it into big things and hopefully I will be able to do just that because I feel like with all my investments in 2021, I think that I might see some returns this year.
Everyone is expecting good potential of cryptocurrency this year 2022, everybody who invested last year 2021 is is on cool room praying for acceleration of cryptocurrency, because all hope is built Base another bullrun of cryptocurrency,my self is also expecting something huge this year, i know vividly that majority of people that knows Bitcoin have serious target to achieve more in cryptocurrency. It's good to invest and wait when the time will come for fruitfulness.
Hopefully the expectations will pay off and the prayers will be answered, this year is going to be another year that's going to decide the fate of crypto and the community that it has gathered around because if it all goes up then a lot of people will celebrate but if not then a lot of people are going to quit. I agree that it's still a good time to invest, the prices are still steadying and not pumping so who knows what's going to happen next.
1859  Economy / Economics / Re: IRS says stolen property and bribes must be reported as income on: January 02, 2022, 06:11:29 AM
I don't know if this is a trap or an invitation for criminals. I think that declaration of stolen goods isn't really a good thing because I don't think that people aren't dumb enough to declare what they've stolen. Besides being absurd, I think that this is also a big waste on time and tax dollars.
