I've checked the 5 pages of his post and it's just bounty related posts so I might not be too inclined to believed that this account is hacked, there's not a lot of effort invested in this account so it's easy for him to just use it to share a Trojan, if I were on that person's shoes and there's an opportunity for me to do it with an account that has some significant activity to hide my intentions (sharing links in the posts most of the time so it's likely that someone will click on my links without thinking about it.), I would probably do it too. Although I could be wrong though and this account really is hacked but that's unlikely since the hacker won't really get anything out of hacking this account wouldn't they? |

I'm sure there's a free use policy on images posted on the Internet and if I recall correctly, if the person that has taken the photo explicitly stated that they don't want it to be used by other people then that's when the plagiarism starts to be an issue and it's mostly being done by professional photographers there's a famous case of that iirc although it was amicably settled, I think it was a picture used by a YouTube music video which a lot of people loved and the video got taken down for copyright on the picture. In this forum, I think that it's going to be difficult to get accused of image plagiarism so you don't need to worry OP.

That's easy, they just want to the fame around it and the temporary clout is a helpful way to gain some recognition in their name. I don't know the names of this people but I imagine that they're all businessmen that's trying to sell something and what better way to advertise your product and gain a small prominence than claiming that you're the legendary founder of bitcoin, and we know better that no one's going to believe these claims unless a substantial claim has been given then for now anyone will be a fake but not everyone is like the "esteemed" BTT forum members that knows how to think, there's bound to be some gullible schmuck that's going to believe those fakes and then these fakes will get a sale of what they're selling.

Go to the Services board of the forum, you can check out posts there that's in need of different services although you've to be careful about it because some might scam you for your work and they don't pay you. You're better off posting there and listing the stuff that you can do and it might also help that you create a portfolio of your past works to increase the chances of someone hiring you.

I don't know why people refuse to learn from the past. They see this exact situation unfold in front of their very eyes, yet they still continue handing over control of their BTC to, effectively, total strangers.
This is probably because people like the convenience of storing their bitcoins in these custodial wallet, they can easily access and sell and trade it plus not all of these bitcoin people are using bitcoin the way we know bitcoin, some of them probably don't even know how to create their own wallet to store their bitcoins. Why do some people have such hope in Bitcoin? Asking such questions in our time and claiming that Bitcoin is a panacea for poverty is no longer modern. We need facts and evidence, not isolated cases, so that we can assume that Bitcoin saves us from poverty and, in general, from all universal ills. Essentially, what happens is that where poverty is prevalent, there is also a lack of education. How can people invest anything if they have neither a job nor a normal means of livelihood? If their only goal is to eat normally and feed their family, It is simply impossible to make such people wait for a “miracle day,” after which they will become rich.
I have to tell you that bitcoin will not be able to help those in the poverty line, unless they have a means to earn bitcoin and they have a phone which I don't think they have since they're trying to survive daily. Those in the poverty line would probably choose a short-term money over what bitcoin offers which is obviously long-term. Bitcoin itself can't do anything but the people that were lucky enough to benefit from the growth of bitcoin has the opportunity to help these people even if it's a temporary help like food packages or paying their rent, you know like what Mr. Beast does in his videos albeit you don't have to film yours since we've got enough poverty porn content creators already. I think that it's one of the ways that you can help impoverished people in your area. |

You know OP, I'm fine with how bitcoin is used right now because if it was used like what satoshi intended and what you want it to be which is a P2P electronic cash system then be prepared for high tx fees because bitcoin isn't good with high volumes of trade and so as more people are constantly using it for that then the more the network gets congested and the only way that you can get through that is if you pay a lot so you can be first in line to have your transaction processed. What bitcoin is right now are like those expensive Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh or Magic the Gathering cards that you can subdivide into smaller pieces but still retain value although the pieces are a divided sum of the value card, I think we're better off trading pieces of that divided collectible card than having it used like a currency plus these so-called divided cards can still be used like a currency but much better.

Well, those people are already already rich, apart from the value of those Bitcoins, otherwise they wouldn't have been able to hold out for so long without selling even a part of them. I imagine that if they move them now it will be because they expect to sell with the expected price increase in the near future, no? I understand that this is the most likely scenario.
But why not just use let the coins stay to the original address? Wouldn't that still do the same thing? To me, this looks like there's an over the counter deal for those bitcoins and they don't want to leave any digital footprints of the money that they've got for the bitcoins. Who cares?

I too think there's no reason to be too disappointed if the ETF gets rejected, it's not like bullish cycles are tied to ETF - they are tied to the halvenings and the SEC has no rule over them. Maybe successful ETF application could boost the bullish sentiment and result in a more explosive bull run with higher highs, but even without it the price is projected to grow.
But it's a welcoming one if ETF gets approved because many people that have projected the price at a specific time would get the number wrong because the price that they predicted might happen earlier and when that happens then we can assume that bitcoin's price will continue to go up more than we expect and that would mean more profits for everyone hodling their bitcoin. |

Reminisce of the times when bitcoin was still affordable for everyone and anyone could've been rich if they just kept the bitcoins that they've earned in faucets? Yes, that's the kind of mindset that will definitely make the hackers work much easier but that doesn't mean that not changing passwords often is a wrong thing too, if you're like me who sets the computer environment in a way that is really difficult for hackers to get into then you're good with not changing passwords but if you are the kind that's carelessly clicking on links sent by unknown senders in your email or messaging apps then you can benefit from changing passwords frequently although it's hopeless as most hackers will just install a keylogger and their work on you is already done.

The festive period is near. Just as it has always been every year, the prices of clothings and foodstuffs will skyrocket for no reason and the regulatory agencies are quite about it. If these agency was actually functional, illegal hoarding and artificial scarcity will stop. The prices will be stable to some extent.
No you're wrong, there's a reason for the skyrocketing of the food and clothing during this coming months and you've said it already which is the nearing of the festive period and if you elaborated on that part, you would understand that during the festive seasons, people are buying gifts and other stuff to celebrate a lot of holidays which is going to be a lot of demands which as we all know is going to increase the price of products. One thing that I know that can reduce the price of goods is deflation which is the opposite of inflation and it's not a good sign too because that could mean there's no growth in the economy which I think is also bad for the country. Of course there's other ways to solve this issue but it's going to be difficult because reduction in prices of basic goods or even the general stuff would mean that you're going to cut down the prices you're paying the producers which they're not going to like the idea because then they will be the one that's shouldering the brunt of expenses in production which is going to get bigger because they're getting little profit and the raw materials are not getting cheaper. |

I think the recent pump has to do more with the rumored spot ETF approval by the SEC. Nothing has been confirmed yet, but you know how it is in crypto land. One thing for sure is that the war didn't have a positive effect over Bitcoin's price. Maybe because it's still too early for Bitcoin? Gold has been trusted by many for years, so it's the first store of value people choose to protect themselves against an unprecedented crisis. We should wait at least a decade for Bitcoin to mature. At least, it's doing better than traditional stocks and bonds. I've read somewhere that Bitcoin is the best-performing asset of 2023. With the upcoming halving event, BTC will become scarcer than ever (which means higher prices over time). Who knows if it goes as far as replacing Gold someday? Just my opinion  I think I know where to draw the line when it comes to what event should affect the price of bitcoin and it's war, as much as there's definitely an effect on it, I think that it's such a depraved and evil of us to even be remotely happy or something jovial about the war affecting the prices, I'm better off with my morals intact to say the least. Also, what's the justification of waiting for bitcoin for another decade to mature? Isn't bitcoin almost 14 years old already? One thing stands, once you provide your information to any exchange just be aware that the government can simply have access to it. The lies the government will spread in getting users details will be to protect them from fraud but it easily just to spy on its citizens on that platform
Too late for us to worry about that anyway because even if they don't do that, the US already has a data on you and all they have to know, you freely provide it to them already (driver's license, credit card, ITR and many other government documents you have to fill up) so this isn't really something new or scary anymore. You've said that you've grown to believe that as long as you've means to make money, you don't have to worry about spending and given that it's instilled to you at such a young age I assume, you're going to have a hard time being able to change the way you see money and your spending because the habit and mindset is too innate that a change would be difficult, you can probably do it in two days and then you're going to relapse to your old habits, I suggest that you talk this out with a financial expert that can help you in your spending and a psychologist to help you or guide you into rewiring how you think when it comes to money and removing the old habits and mindset that you want to change or remove. Self-help books can be helpful too.

Fiat is a scam but it’s not considered a ponzi. Ponzi is what Madoff did and it’s where he took the money from his newest investors to pay off the oldest investors which were cashing out.

I don't have all the info on this and it's just a conjecture but I believe the reason why Madoff has got away from the sniffing of forensic accountants is probably the fact that he's a reputable and influential investor in the Wallstreet and if there's someone snooping then he can just use his connections to stop the snooping or even discredit the investigations but it seems these didn't last long, after all that investment scheme like any Ponzi out there, is a house of cards. |
