1281  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Will you sell because of situations? on: May 02, 2023, 01:46:38 AM
Do you advise he sells and bail his kid sister?  Everybody is confuse.

First of all, it seems it was a made-up story man. It is not convincing, if you are going to make a story, please make it more natural.
Anyway, I don't think this will confuse everyone because pretty much everyone already knew what to do when this happens. Would you have a second thought selling your stash for the sake of your child's life? Of course no, are you for real? As soon as you get in this situation you will have no any other thoughts but to sell it right away just to save your love ones, no matter what circumstances are, whether the price is against you or not. We can earn money or bitcoin again but the lives of our love one is irreplaceable.
1282  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Advise to a friend on: April 29, 2023, 07:27:26 AM
Ordinarily, I don't like asking questions like this because I feel they're personal questions that should be answered by myself alone but it has been on my mind for a very long time and I have not gotten a solution for it.

I have a friend that works hard. He does two jobs and he makes a lot of money. Most of his money is in a savings bank account where he saves them. He doesn't have any use for it right now so the money is just sitting pretty in that account. Lately, I've been having the urge to advise him to buy Bitcoin with like 40% of his savings and HODL. Holding won't be an issue for him because he has the patience of an old man. He has left the savings in his account for over two years without touching it. Now imagine him transferring that energy to Bitcoin.

The problem is, someone has convinced him to buy altcoins before now, I think in late 2021 or thereabout. He bought three different altcoins for about $500 and now two out of the three coins he bought are worthless. one is worth about $0.045. The price ain't the issue, the issue is these coins are not like Bitcoin that will rise again.
I have explained all he needs to know about Bitcoin to him and he understands. He understands how Bitcoin is not a get-rich-quick scheme, the risk, and the patience involved.
He buys into the idea but I'm still having doubts. I don't want to look like a fraud when things don't work out. I mean, I can speculate about the market all I want, but I can't be sure what tomorrow brings.

So should I go ahead and advise him to buy Bitcoin or I should leave him to come to me himself? Because he will buy it if I ask him to.

Well, that ain't a good start for him. Luckily, despite of having a bad start he didn't lose a faith in crypto and that is a good thing because it only implies that he is willingly learn and be part of the community. Now for you friend, it isn't bad to give some advice to anyone regarding in this matter, in fact it is in favor of the community however, you shouldn't urge anyone to invest especially if they had no idea on it because if things doesn't go well it could become your responsibility, instead let them invest on their own accord. I think it is better for him to come in himself.
1283  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin price trajectory gamit ang AI on: April 29, 2023, 04:53:29 AM
Well technically kaya ng AI mapredict ang price trajectory ng Bitcoin but don't expect a high accuracy on this one. Pwede itong gamitin as a reference tho, but I suggest don't rely too much on this one because as you have said the information are gathered from the internet, then it means the source could not be reliable or whatsoever. So, it is much better if we will verify the information presented by the application or make our own.
1284  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Fake Ukrainian donation website, BEWARE! on: March 04, 2022, 01:00:40 PM
Thank God for that, I think there are other scammers out there that might've got away with their scams. There's also one where they hacked into the Ukrainian's official website and change the donation link or they've probably impersonated their website to create a legitimately looking donation platform.

Scammers will not stop their activities, it has failed but they will create more new websites for the purpose of scamming people willing to donate. Because we have seen in recent times that as many trending news has come out, scammers have tried to scam people by creating one website after another.

So it is assumed that more websites will be created by scammers, using Ukraine's name. So those who are willing to donate should be careful before making any kind of transaction.
I agree with that statement and I think that we should continue this never ending battle by educating people how to spot a scam and how to report them so it gets shut down immediately, I think that we should improve in that department because people nowadays are gullible and at the same time, don't take the time to do some research before believing something.
1285  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Fake Ukrainian donation website, BEWARE! on: March 04, 2022, 11:46:22 AM
I was about to post a thread regarding this very site but then I saw this thread and I am relieved that someone has posted it already. This scammers really don't have any remorse and will scam everyone even if the situation is dire, in this case though it's worse as it's possible that we might be facing the end of the world or something like that, it's still quite appalling to me that they can still do this thing.
Fortunately, the Bitcoin address still appears empty, showing no transactions, meaning that people luckily didn't fall for it. Scams are unfortunately very common nowadays, Discord and Telegram groups are filled with crooks, scam websites are all over the web, some of which are even being advertised on social media. It's sick that there are people willing to take advantage of someone's misfortune, in this case, a full scale war.
Thank God for that, I think there are other scammers out there that might've got away with their scams. There's also one where they hacked into the Ukrainian's official website and change the donation link or they've probably impersonated their website to create a legitimately looking donation platform.
1286  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitforex is SCAM!!! on: March 04, 2022, 11:11:23 AM

You probably should provide a proof because it's not really reliable that we are able to to discern whether you're telling the truth, and it's going to help you big time if you have a proof to be able to support your claims and for your statement to have a body and not become a defamation which will backfire to you.

1288  Economy / Economics / Re: What if Russia economy grows higher after the war on: March 03, 2022, 03:42:02 PM
If they don't take that much damage then they're going to get richer in the war but if they did sustain a heavy one then they're going to make only a breakeven, plus it's going to take them a lot of resources to rehabilitate Ukraine since they're going to have to rebuild it and with the economic sanctions, we might see Russia plunge into an even worse economic turmoil.
1289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: March 03, 2022, 02:16:59 PM
What's the status of this fight? Didn't seem to have any news about it so I was checking but it seems that this will just be all talk and no walk. Shouldn't WBO force it now by hook or by crook because they're the one that have started it. I was anticipating this bout and all but now I'm disappointed about this, hope that things will get smoothed out eventually.
1290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: March 03, 2022, 01:22:00 PM
For Ugas, it will be a big challenge. Spence is known to throw aggressive punches and since he's big, the cover or defense of Ugas can collapse

and he can overpower him. It would be a great adjustment for Ugas to solidify both his defense and his counterattacks,

it will be a good toe to toe face-off between these two champs.

A winner takes all fight, and the chance to call for Crawford and collect all the belt in this division.
Ugas will be the standing at the end of this fight, that I'm sure of, didn't he defeat Pacquiao? And I think that it's a big win even though Pacquiao is old in terms of boxing but it's a feat nonetheless. I think that Ugas's toughness will play a big role in this match. Pretty exciting match and I hope to get in on the action and able to have some money to place bets.
1291  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The world of sport reacts to the Russian invasion of Ukraine on: March 03, 2022, 12:29:55 PM
Glad that someone has compiled all of this stuff because I've been seeing this articles before and I lurk in gambling board and I haven't seen anyone making a thread about it or talking about it. I think that these reactions is justifiable since they're making sure that they're distancing themselves from the conflict which is bad for these organizations images.
1292  Economy / Economics / Re: The ruble is going to hell on: March 01, 2022, 01:34:12 PM
Could this be one of the catalysts on why bitcoin is going up? Because it has increased a lot in the past few hours and probably many people are starting to convert their fiat and I try to preserve the value when using crypto currency.
It's a possibility but I don't think that it's the sole or the biggest factor for the pump of bitcoin, maybe play a large role but that's another story. Ruble will continue to go down as the economic sanctions continue, hopefully the war will eventually end because of the economic sanctions and the price continue to go higher.
1293  Economy / Economics / Re: West should start de-coupling from Putin's Russia energy supplies on: March 01, 2022, 12:03:13 PM
Russia will be suffering big, unless Putin gets deposed and the successor is not power hungry and corrupt person, then we might see Russia as a brand new country. The sad thing about this is that Putin has the money to be able to buy the loyalty of those under him to prevent such thing. If things escalate though, this is probably for the best.
1294  Economy / Economics / Re: Regulation seem like the only option left on: February 28, 2022, 02:30:08 PM
I think so too but I am not in favor of any regulation that's going to be infringing the people and will only benefit the state, I think that it's in our best interest right now that crypto isn't going to be regulated because we know how the government will exploit the system that's currently inplace. I think that regulation is needed but it's not good for now.
1295  Economy / Economics / Re: Ban Russia from SWIFT! Protect Ukrainian Sky! Send NATO to Ukraine! on: February 28, 2022, 01:24:35 PM
I hate to break this to you OP but this isn't the right platform to do this, for one, you're not going to get anywhere and this forum doesn't have a big traffic and I think you're going to have more luck in the cesspool we call Twitter because you can have your message delivered there to more people. Your wish to have Russia removed from SWIFT was granted though.
1296  Economy / Economics / Re: Ukraine Raising donations in Crypto. USA need to favor Crypto on: February 28, 2022, 12:45:22 PM
What they should prioritize right now is the asylum of Ukrainian refugees because if the worst thing ever happens and Russia takes over Ukraine, the people of Ukraine are going to starve and we might see another Holodomor, it happened before and it's unlikely that it won't happen again because we never learn from our history. After the evacuation, the next one should be military aide like advance weapon systems and intel gathering and supplies both in food and ammunitions. The financial stuff can wait.
1297  Economy / Economics / Re: This shows Putin got the costs of aggression wrong on: February 28, 2022, 11:52:19 AM
I guess their rights as a free enterprise in a former communist country only lasts for as long as Russia is experiencing peace, when will people learn that together as the masses we have the power prevent this kind of events from happening and having to save lives in an unnecessary death through war. The only good thing about this solution of Kremlin is that it's a temporary fix to their problem.
1298  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation hits Russia on: February 28, 2022, 11:17:41 AM
I believed that in the worst case, Russia would intervene in eastern Ukraine and perhaps only expand the occupied territories to create a larger pro-Russian zone - and that this would take several days due to the military strength of the Russian army. Unfortunately, this is no longer a military conflict but an open war aimed at occupying Ukraine, and according to their leader, some other countries will be next in line if they try to join NATO.

The EU depends on Russia, especially for gas - but will have to look for an alternative if it wants to be consistent in the sanctions against it. It is a bit hypocritical that it was announced a few days ago that the amount of gas will even be increased towards the EU, which means that the money is going in the opposite direction - on the one hand, we have sanctions, on the other hand, the EU finances Russian military machinery by buying Russian gas.
That could probably work but Ukraine will definitely mention it as a part of the negotiation that the invaded territories be returned to Ukraine. The best course of action here is to piss off the Russian bear by having all the countries mobilize their military, we are a hopeless species so why not go all out and insure a mutually assured destruction. Regarding the oil, can't the whole Europe just switch to Middle East? I'm assuming that they don't want to because it's going to make the oil much more expensive.
1299  Economy / Economics / Re: China says it will trade normally with Russia on: February 26, 2022, 04:17:02 PM
Of course they will, they're one of the superpower countries and Russia is their communist ally so I am not surprised.that they're going to be doing anything that's going to hinder their trade with Russia and we all know how bad of a violator China is and how many times they've backed out on their word so we should never count them out in any other way as a country that wants to end this war.
1300  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A thing worst than "don't trade with your emotion" a trader should avoid on: February 26, 2022, 03:25:54 PM
I feel one should absolutely avoid surfing around youtube for trading, especially for the trades one has already entered into, some people have the habit to see youtube videos in search of validation of their idea just to make sure they are correct but this is a pretty bad idea because you actually just take up the idea which matches your thinking the most and not the best idea. One should just have a few educative channels for trading and one should only follow them to learn new things so that you are not feeding yourself every day with this garbage. The worst part obviously is that these traders would act on youtube as if there is no better trader than them.
Totally agree, trading YouTube channels don't have your best interest in mind, it's unlikely that they really care and you don't really know if they care so avoid them, no matter how much you want to say that they're not biased, they already have a stake in the cryptocurrencies that they're going to talk about so it's not their problem if you're late to the party.
