1861  Economy / Reputation / Re: WTF Maidak? on: September 20, 2021, 07:24:10 AM
we still can't be sure if there original owner behind legendster's account.
He keeps saying he can sign a message, but hasn't done it.
The person behind Legendster account is the same person that i am communicating in Telegram for the past several years and we communicate through phone as we know each other, only today i came to know about this situation.

What i found amusing after reading everything is that Maidak claims that he lost $3000 but i cannot find any transaction ID and you were able to send that huge amount without much verification because you had a $10k deal earlier Roll Eyes. Even if you think you were impersonated and lost your money to the hacker i would like to see the $3000 transaction ID.
1862  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Should be in Syllabus of Students? on: September 19, 2021, 08:18:59 PM
Hello. All. Actually first I come in this space (crypto) in 2017 where btc was $1.8 K to $19K. Right Now Btc is approx $35K.This was really a very interesting exp. for me. Today, i was though t Crypto should be in the Syllabus of students all over the world because there are lots of opportunities in this pace for Young Generations.
If you are teaching the young generation about the technical aspect of BTCitcoin and its economics i am all for it but when you talk about just the valuation aspect of it then it is a different story altogether. If there should be a syllabus then they should start a new one aspect of economics by teaching everyone about decentralized currency and free trade without boundaries.
1863  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Legalization. In Ukraine and now Laos on: September 19, 2021, 07:06:08 PM
I am suspicious on the word legalize. It can be used inaccurately and I think we will need more time to see it is really a legalization or just a fake news, a misleading term using on media.

I mean terms like ban, legalize can be used and misled by social media and whales.
This is a fact that we hear news like this that could manipulate the market for the past several years. In the past one year i have heard about news in either direction that a country banned cryptocurrency or a country is accepting them but the truth is far from reality and i do believe these are spread so that they think they can manipulate the market with these news.
1864  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Gas Fee is too High? on: September 19, 2021, 04:37:17 PM
Dont be shocked dude, with current pumped of ethereum network and all the trend in the nft. There are lots who are using the network that probably cause the gas fee to increase. Maybe eth has problem scaling it and thats for sure a long time problem in their network, but Im sure Vitalik are working off his ass to have a solution for this. But if you want a smaller fee then you should do other networks like avax, bsc, polygon and fantom.
Yeah Vitalik should work his ass off because when they launched they were claiming that they will scale on a massive scale unlike BTCitcoin who was struggling with the high transaction fees. They were not able to find a solution and hence they wanted to change the entire consensus algorithm to POS  and lets see whether they can sort their issue. For the NFT projects that are using ETH, the users should ask the developers to use Polygon so that the transaction fees will be low.

I do not think that Chennai Super Kings may score 130+. As of now they are struggling by losing 4 key batters including their skipper MS Dhoni. If the current pair will be able to put a 100+ partnership then we can see Chennai Super Kings to score 150+ runs. But, bowling attacks against world class bowlers like Boult and Bumbra, I do not think it will be possible and I guess Chennai Super Kings may not touch 120 itself.
Three ducks in the top order and even i did not expect them to reach any competitive total, but Ruturaj Gaikwad is still in the crease and Ravindra Jadeja is still in the crease and they can very well score at a fast pace and they are going at over 9 runs per over now and if they can do till the end of the innings they can score well over 140 run.

The CSK top order looked well out of touch and it is really disappointing to see all of them struggling to score runs, may be they needs to start adding youngsters than older players Grin.

1866  Economy / Speculation / Re: Next stop $85K for Bitcoin on: September 19, 2021, 02:03:23 PM
I genuinely think that chances are we're going to see an adjustment before any further pumps.
We're in a period of consolidation where we are seeing institutions being a bit more hesitant entering at such high levels.
I expected a correction when it touched $20k but the market was too bullish that it breached every resistance with ease and it is hard to predict what might happen this time around as well. May be we might see a correction before the final bull run or it will break all the resistance with ease to rally to a new all time high valuation.

As a result, we are going to see $40k-50k BTC for quite a while without much movement either downward or upward - there is strong resistance at $50k but still consistent buying pressure from retail investors.
It is fair to assume that we will be trading at a range bound for a while before the next rally. We are yet to see the valuation go down further than $46k this time.
1867  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: September 19, 2021, 12:41:42 PM
This year I have been supporting CSK as i feel this could be MS Dhoni's last IPL and also because of sir jadeja because he is my all time favorite player and just because of him i support CSK and i really hope they beat mumbai indians today.
Even i would like to see CSK perform well and i am expecting  Mahendra Singh Dhoni to cut loose and bat like he used to do when he first burst into the Indian team back in 2004, taking on bowlers and those were the best days when he played without any fear and if this is his last season with CSK i want him to end his IPL career by lifting the trophy once again.
1868  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin mining is not profitable enough! on: September 19, 2021, 11:08:27 AM
Your argument seems reasonable but consider the fact that the technology of devices is improving over time. Mining devices are more powerful, consume less electricity. Renewable energy will also play a big part in the evolution of miners' equipment. One thing I am sure of is that mining will stop if miners lose money so they will always find a way to fix it.
At present the miners have the opportunity to mine 144 blocks on a daily basis which is basically 900BTC which is around $43.3 million dollars and these big miners will be willing to update their mining rigs if they think it is outdated and it has become a competitive space and that is what it should be, it is a capitalist market where anyone spending more money will reap more Wink.

Why you close your eyes when you see what Indian armed forces are doing in
Kashmir's.  Indian cried when they saw united state moved out of Afghanistan and they will cry again when the Kashmiri's will get the freedom.

No idea what you are talking about, what is shown in your media should be fake, i have being to that place a few times and i have friends in that region and i have not seen or heard about these things from them. Yes i oppose what the BJP government did by limiting Internet connection whenever there is a protest. When it comes to armed forced yes there was a problem 25 plus years back and majority of the individual that were responsible were court martialed but you cannot repeat the same thing as if it happened yesterday.

Currently, situation was very clear, and many kiwi players was also happy with this tour and security arrangements but still this happens mean now we have no manners just money and political influence is too much working around the sports globe.
Do you think that the New Zealand board will be benefiting if the players participated in the IPL if that is your argument. What money and political influence led to the cancellation of the tour. If you can make that clear it would be great. I have no idea about the exact reason and i am sure the New Zealand board will give a detailed report to the ICC regarding this.
1870  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ]: Fury vs Wilder III - THE TRILOGY IS BACK ON !!! on: September 19, 2021, 06:57:50 AM

I change my vote to Deontay Wilder. I speculate that everyone from the sports media, the sportsbooks to the bettors are underestimating Wilder. I predict Wilder knockout before the 7th round. The promoters might want to begin preparing for a quadrology hehehehe.
Even i feel like we are going to see something special from Deontay Wilder as he might be obsessed with methods on how to defeat Tyson Fury for months and we are not hearing much about Deontay Wilder in the media nor his interviews like he used to but Tyson Fury is always in the media lights. I am not expecting Deontay Wilder to change his fighting style but i expect Wilder to attempt to hit the target in the first 5 rounds and if the defense of Tyson Fury is not up to the mark he might go down like the first fight.
1871  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Timing is important on: September 18, 2021, 10:07:16 PM
Wait patiently for the real perfect trend in the market, and don't make predictive interventions; "Timing is important", buy at the right time, and sell at the right time.
Trading is not something to do every day.
I do accept the fact that you cannot trade on a daily basis and expect to profit and there is no doubt that timing is important when it comes to investing. The problem is that majority of the investors misjudge the entry point and that is how majority end up in a loss. All you need to do is to stick to the basic, invest when the market is on a correction phase and then wait for the long term and then book your profit.
1872  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many BTC users actually care about privacy? on: September 18, 2021, 08:17:57 PM
If you are going to use a big exchange in the future then you will need KYC.  The only other way to get BTC will be on the black market.  Would that put you off?
The early days everyone was able to trade freely without much restrictions. It is inevitable that the authorities will force all the centralized exchanges to follow AML rules and force everyone to provide KYC to continue trading and it is a tricky proposition. Personally I will be using centralized exchanges to covert my coins to fiat as long as DEX will be having enough liquidity to trade and i am hoping we will be able to trade with DEX without much restrictions.
1873  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Dogecoin survive without Elon Musk? on: September 18, 2021, 07:07:25 PM
What do you think? Will Dogecoin be able to survive without Elon Musk? Or will it simply vanish like the rest of the other "shitcoins" on the market? Is the DOGE hype over? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley
One thing we cannot deny is that Elon Musk attracted many users to the cryptocurrency market especially to Dogecoin and there will be some that burned themselves and then there are investors that benefited. Another fact is that Dogecoin will not vanish just like that as many gambling sites accept Dogecoin and there are many who gamble with it.
1874  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Economists say each BTC transaction causes 272g of waste on: September 17, 2021, 08:11:01 PM
Here is an interesting article from The Guardian UK: Waste from one bitcoin transaction ‘like binning two iPhones’. Whereas the carbon footprint issue has been debated in the forum this article puts a different spin on the impact of mining.

According to the article, the Bitcoin network processed 112.5m transactions meaning that each individual transaction “equates to at least 272g of e-waste" which is the equivalent of two mini iPhone 12 handsets because ASIC miners have a limited shelf life of just 1.29 years. If the calculations are true, those are mind-boggling numbers.
I read the article and there is a twist in the comparison as the article claim that the entire BTCitcoin network cycles through 30.7 metric kilotons of equipment which is equivalent to the equipment waste in one sector produced by Netherlands, so what will be the total wastage in each and every sector  Cheesy, just think about the global waste that is produced and they just want to compare them with the waste an entire BTCitcoin network produces.

We are seeing all these excuses for a long time now, Elon Musk who is producing electric cars is complaining about the electric wastage while mining BTCitcoin and now a comparison of electronic wastage for the entire network with a country. What kind of comparison is that, it is like comparing apples to oranges and similarity is that it is round in shape. What about the millions of mobile phones that are obsolete in the past 10 years, if they could compare just the mobile electronic waste with the wastage of ASIC machines produced then that would be a good comparison. The binning rate would be 20:1  Cheesy.

1875  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is like a losing lottery ticket on: September 17, 2021, 07:02:02 PM
The linked video explains the difference between traditional financial instruments and bitcoin. Traditional are redeemable, while bitcoin is not. Which makes bitcoin equivalent to a losing lottery ticket. Or, similar to a stock of a bankrupt company, a currency of a former county or a casino token of a bankrupt casino.
Have you heard about companies getting bankrupted and their stocks going to zero, do you think those are redeemable. When you compare something you need to have some facts as if these traditional investments levitate above the rest  Tongue.

You can simply search on google about how many companies went down in the last ten years where investors lost billions. When it comes to BTCitcoin as long as you are holding the private key you are able to redeem the coins.

Security is far more important than any match or series. However, the strange thing is that how come they felt their is security threat just before the match ? They should have not come to pakistan if they were not comfortable playing here.
Also they now want to abandon the whole series without give explanation of who gave the news about the threat and all the details. I think there are many unanswered questions here.
The explanation will be New Zealand might have got some intelligence information that there will be a terror activity in Pakistan, if not why do you think they would cancel the tournament when the entire team is in Pakistan and their neighboring Afghanistan is in turmoil after radicals taken over power and it is their genuine concern that something bad is going to happen.

Earlier Sri Lankan cricket players were targeted and for them they show how escaped with injuries and no one lost their live. So if there is intelligence information about a terror attack they will pull their player.
1877  Economy / Economics / Re: Have you notice how corporations took over the internet ? on: September 16, 2021, 10:25:59 PM
So probably soon we won’t see stars in the night sky any more, only ads. Corporations took over the internet, over our everyday life (all these ads on shops, supermarkets, billboards, cars, etc) and even over the sky.
This is a bit overblown out of proportion i would say. I am not sure how they are going to do that, even if they do it will be a small portion and for that advertisement to shine brighter how much energy is needed, i bet a lot of energy would required to shine something from outer space, so it is not going to be a viable advertisement area from a logical stand point.

Sometimes even in mined BTC blocks were found hidden massages: https://decrypt.co/55642/the-5-best-secret-messages-hidden-on-the-bitcoin-blockchain . Once they probably will find ads there.
This one, it is possible but who cares, no one is going to read those hidden messages and no one is going to spend money for those  Grin.

The only people who keeps repeating, and keeps making us believe in the narrative that NFTs are “here to stay” are those same people who have invested much of their coins in them. Why would I convert my precious Bitcoins to a shitcoin, to invest in an NFT? Cool
Even i was confused in the beginning when people were spending huge amount for basically small pictures in digital form, Everydays: The First 5000 Days of an artist sold for $69 million which is crazy and some of the CryptoPunk collections sold over multiple million dollars. I started venturing into the NFT market with a team who sells aNFT and there are many users that are new to the cryptocurrency market who are there just to purchase the aNFT of their favorite sports person and Lionel Messi was a huge success.

Will see how the NFT market would be in the next couple of years and then i will make a comment  Grin.
1879  Economy / Speculation / Re: Microsteel keeps buying into BTC on: September 15, 2021, 09:51:29 PM
~
Maybe $50000, who knows. Predicting bitcoin price may be inaccurate, but we should at long term expect all-time-high, all-time-high is achievable but it may not be this year.
The price is around those ranges, so hitting $50000 is not a huge deal as it can happen in a single hour if the bulls are back in action. The other aspect is that i am expecting a major correction by next year which could take the market down well below $30000.

If we are to expect the bulls to cross another all time high then this is the best time to breach those valuations and most probably by the end of this year and once the bear market starts to hang over our head it would take another 3 years to reach any newer levels.

My major concern is how these institutional investors makes their plans as they are holding huge number of coins and when they will be dumping those coins in the market.

But its all I can think about sometimes, when Im at school I think about gambling im gonna do when I get home. But I think my gambling might get me in trouble, im not even 18 (4 years away from it) yet and its almost all I think about sometimes. Do you guys think I should make an effort to quit?
The first part was fine about not loosing much, the moment you said you are 14 years old and gambling, it is a problem and it might affect your future. Right now concentrate on your education and you are not even earning to gamble. May be you have collected some cryptocurrencies and you can use them to save for your future education rather than spending time gambling.
