1901  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Am I screwed? on: July 04, 2019, 02:37:40 AM
I sold at $7550, am I screwed or will it at least go back down to $7500?
you are not screw, maybe you can wait until the prices are higher than $ 7500 and you can wait for bitcoin to get to the position of $15k and be able to profit for you

What? What do you mean? He said he sold his btc at $7550, that means he has the fiat, not the btc. I think it is better to wait for now than to invest again since that will make you lose more. Wait for the fall or maybe put that into other altcoins that might pump. You might want to analyze some price charts so you can get back some losses.
1902  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Now I know why eSports prize pools go over millions of dollars! on: July 03, 2019, 10:02:53 PM
I figured it had a lot to do with the Skins and outfits from In-Game purchases. But that is crazy Epic Games is going to fund $100,000,000 towards fortnite Competitions this next year....

Also as far as Esports gaming becoming one of the largest and most viewed sports out there that is very possible. 30 years ago kids did not sit at home and stream fortnite. Now days anyone can do it. As video games upgrade and get more futuristic I think It may very well be a #1 in the gambling industry as well!!!

It will be, in fact there are a lot of companies, big companies that invest in this. A legend player is said to already invested his money in an esports team, I am so amazed reading that. I think more and more people will be going and be doing this kind of job in the future. While the internet is with us, people will make money for it. From content creators to professional gamers.
1903  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you gamble or think it's a waste of money and time? on: July 03, 2019, 03:50:30 PM
I agree and before they decided to gamble, I think they already know what they are getting themselves into beforehand so I too don’t think it’s a waste of time and money; especially if you are happy with what you are doing.

That is right and all of them should be that too. People should not look at gambling as a source of income, it is a source of entertainment and nothing else. It is a waste of time if you are making it a barrier to block you from being productive, from being a successful man or woman that you should be, a great father or mother for your family, that should be you, not an addicted gambler.
1904  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: From Janitor to Millionaire on: July 03, 2019, 03:10:50 PM
Yes, janitors are one proof of pure luck that made him a millionaire.
and it will be a good motivation and example for everyone, in his personality and patience, he really produces pure luck like a gift from God.

A good example? In what way? That we need to be a janitor in order to win in a lottery? He is a good person, we can say that based on the article but winning a lottery is not a good motivation nor an example for everyone. It is a rag to riches story but if we will be making this an example of success, they might take the same road, a road to gambling addiction.
1905  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the real value of bitcoin and cryptocurrency on: July 03, 2019, 11:06:50 AM
The value of crypto is given by people, if there come a lot of people and buy, then the price can go to at least 100k on short time, or even higher but we need that most people buy.

Don't give them hope like that, it is not like that since it will not just pump into 100K that fast. It is true that it is a volatile crypto currency but there will always be a correction and always investors that will take advantage of this price pump. We may see $30K to $35K but I don't think we will be seeing a $100K this year or next year.
1906  Economy / Economics / Re: Can not believe 5 years ago you could of bought one whole bitcoin for this much! on: July 03, 2019, 01:02:39 AM
I still remember this time. I remember my first gambling site at that time, Freebitco.in where I usually see the price of bitcoin and it is so cool for me seeing the price increasing every single day I look at it, For some time, until the price of it crossed the amazing 4-digit price. Also because of that, I got greedy and lost some of the saved satoshis from the site. It is not that much but it is fun starting it with their faucet. Time flies so fast.
1907  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people bought Bitcoin because of you? on: July 02, 2019, 11:51:01 PM
1 or 2 I think, that just include a friend and someone that I know. I do want people to invest in these crypto currencies but it is just that I don't want to butt in myself and told them about this. So I just answer some people that know I am investing in such currencies. It is not that much but I hope they can do the things I can't, that includes inviting other people in.
1908  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Btc has no value on: July 02, 2019, 11:19:06 PM
If Bitcoin has no value, for sure it won't increase as they have now, and it won't stand long for more than 10 years. But the price value of Bitcoin at the moment was too huge, it means many community all over the world embraced the good features it has and the possible benefits that We could get from it. And it possible too that it can be the world currency someday.

I think what you are saying is the price right now,  it is true that its value is huge but it differs for every investor. If bitcoin really has a value, an intrinsic value, then there would be no way that we could put the price of it beside USD. Do you see the price of btc without the fiats? No, that is what we are talking about here but that is the same with fiat, it is just a paper told by the government that is the currency, designed it, print it making us believe it is worth that much, it is still a paper though.
1909  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I Have Found Satoshi Nakamoto on: July 02, 2019, 12:32:38 PM
Do I 'know' Satoshi Nakamoto ? , No.

Well, that's that. I'm fine with that answer, I'm just wondering how does it feel him being here in the forum actively posting about it.

Did I share private messages with the Satoshi account ? , Yes.

Whoa, that is great. It is not much, I am not a fan of him but having a PM of him, Him, one of the mysteries of the internet is so amazing.

P.S. I'm not bitcoin 'rich', so if your asking me for some, I wouldn't bother.

Nah, I'm not that...well, if you want to...

Oh, the 'Xunie' account is active, although didn't post since 2011, now that is interesting! (I'd add merit for that, but not in this thread - lol)

Nah, I'm good, I'm not worth it.

1911  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I Have Found Satoshi Nakamoto on: June 30, 2019, 11:24:44 PM
And another one. There are a lot of people claiming to know who really Satoshi is but I don't think the legitimate people who really know them will not tell who he is. There might be some other people that will claim they are Satoshi, that they know who Satoshi is, this will not end. I found this user, it might be Satoshi Nakamoto, might be. Roll Eyes

Is this more *Satire* ?!? ...

Yes that is/was actual "Satoshi Nakamoto", the creator of Bitcoin (BTC) and this forum (bitcointalk).

Maybe you know him, you're one of the earliest members here in the forum, right? Been wanting to ask some of the early members here since they might know but some of them are not that active in this forum. Here are some of them that I think, maybe, that know the real Satoshi.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=12

I am not saying they know, I'm just wondering since they are one of the earliest members of the forum. Just like a kid asking his grandparents what happened in the war that they are in.

This community has been incredibly disappointing from beginning to end of this thread. Not a single good question! Just doubt and outright anger! Can I get ONE person to suspend their disbelief long enough to ask a good question? To nominate a member of the community they think is worthy? Guess not. I will come up with some good questions for the Q&A and update this thread with the results during our next call.

I plan to call Satoshi again 7/3/19 at approximately 7 AM GMT+8,
7/2/19 @ approximately 6 PM American Central Standard Time.

Peace!BTC

1912  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is irreversible: strength and weakness on: June 30, 2019, 11:15:55 PM
The irreversibility or immutability is a great feature. It is one of the most important (if not the most important) feature  of blockchain.
Exchanges could just build a reversible system for their customers and let bitcoin remain immutable

Is this possible? I mean in terms of blockchain that will be impossible, but how can those exchanges make that work? I am a fan of local exchange and I am using it for a while now. The transactions are fast and with that, I don't think they will allow irreversibility of these transactions since there is a lot of warning to always check the address, we should always do that.

1914  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A new kind of scam in telegram using gambling site on: June 30, 2019, 10:30:37 PM
Thank you for sharing, this scam shit has become a trend and everyone is being target of them. Couple of days ago, I also had faced something like that but I didn't response him much. Some also creates a site and make a lucrative deposit bonus for you. That's also a scam.

Not all though, there are some sites that actually made that within a limited time. Gamblers should really be careful with this, if they got greedy, they might be robbed of their money that they are saving. The last time I watched the news, there is a man from our country that is scammed and invested 5 million pesos from it. You can read the article here. https://globalnation.inquirer.net/163664/nbi-nabs-two-africans-fake-dollar-scam
1915  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: June 30, 2019, 10:14:39 PM
Free Agency News/Rumors

1. Durant will be announcing his decision tonight using this IG page. Only known offer is GSW's 5 year 221 million dollar contract so this might be it.
2. D'angelo Russell named Timberwolves as his top destination
3. Kemba Walker to Boston 4 yr/141 million $
4. Kyrie likely headed to BKN with a similar contract to Kemba.
5. Dame Lillard agrees to a four year/ 196 million $ extension with the Blazers.

A lot of deals going around especially when its not even allowed to happen before the start of the free agency. One thing to note that with Kyrie headed to Brooklyn the nets might just renounce Dlo's RFA status so he could move freely to any team he wants.

The amount NBA players make, crazy.  Say your average American makes 50k a year while Lebron makes $50 million a year and that is a low estimate. Lebron makes 1000x that, imagine working one thousand years to make what one person makes in a year.  I understand that this is what the market dictates what is valuable but thinking about how insane it is.

With the brands they are selling, they are really making a lot of money. There are a lot of people in the world that collects expensive shoes and just imagine then buying all of their releases every year, that is insane. No matter how expensive their shoes is, people still buy it because it is their shoes, that's what makes them rich.
1916  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin transactions costs in the future on: June 30, 2019, 04:12:39 PM
But miners need to recover their ROI on their bitcoin mining gear, will have to pay people to maintain the mining farm so there is still a cost eventhough they will get free renewable energy in the future. And besides, mining fee is base on the hashing difficulty, so the more difficult it to find a block, the more fee's we need to pay.

Exactly, the fee will still be there, I think it would only be lesser since they will be using solar energy. Maintaining the mining farm may need a lot of money so if the fee will be free then I think no miners will want to mine anymore since they can't recovers their expenses.

I don't think so. In the future, I don't think they would even improve their miners since btc at that time would be all mined. That means they have nothing to get back their money but only through transaction fees amd that means in the future, there will be higher fees than now. Some miners might even mine other cryptos after that.
1917  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's value after being more recognized and accepted globally. on: June 30, 2019, 02:22:58 PM
If bitcoin will be globally recognized it will blast off. I mean it is already recognized in terms of regulations but if it will be considered as a currency then even $100.000 would be low price.

It is already recognized globally, it is just that there are some people that don't really know about it especially to third world countries. Recognizing it is not enough, people should use it in order for the price to increase. Many user means there is higher demand, and the higher the demand, the higher the price and that is when we should talk about $100K being a cheap price for it.
1918  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will You Advise Newbies To Enter Bitcoin Now? on: June 30, 2019, 01:23:14 PM
Before advising the investor. The first thing that needs to be invested is how interested they are to invest. If there is no interest then nobody can be advised. But for the things that need to be bought in the market, there is no harm in purchasing BTC. There is an increase in the number of days.

They might be not interested in it right now, but if they are interested in earning money, they will regret that in the future. Some of my friends are so dedicated to investing in crypto currency, what they do is they ask people to invest in it and if they don't want to, they just borrow the money and put it on bitcoin. If they lost the money, they will pay them back but if they earned a profit, they will give back the money and some percentage of the profit. In the end, they grew interested and they themselves manage their investment. It is a rough road at the start but I don't know how are they doing now.
1919  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin with real gold on: June 30, 2019, 01:02:33 PM
if I still choose bitcoin bro. because the number of bitcoin is limited and every day there are people who invest in bitcoin. whereas gold every day is always printed. and the amount is very much almost unlimited. surely the price increases it will take a long time

Always printed? Who planted that idea to you bro? Are you talking about fiats? It is true that while the time goes by, the price of bitcoin is increasing so much a lot of investors are investing now to it but I will choose gold and I know a lot of people will do too. It is not bad to invest in these two and we don't even need to compare this two since it will be the head assets in the future.
1920  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: SUMO WRESTLING is it entertaining? on: June 30, 2019, 11:02:08 AM
It is entertaining especially if you really know what they are doing and you respect their culture. I watched a an anime where they show how this sport and even made an anime all about sumo. Is there any sites where you can bet your money in this games? I think Japanese people respect this game and do not bet on this game but just support the players.
