1441  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What does Regulation really means? on: February 20, 2020, 12:27:00 PM
Well, obviously. As crypto currencies are being adopted, the government will be making policies on how it will be used in their country and how should it be beneficial to the country and to them as well. I don't know specifically how they would be protecting the people but that will always start on how they would be able to tax bitcoin and that also means strict KYCs and no anonymity which is the worst.
1442  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is getting more adopted in my Country on: February 20, 2020, 12:28:20 AM
Actually, I haven't used it yet; still anticipating. However, the ATM location is distant from my exact location (maybe an 8 hours drive). But if I get to use it in any way, I'll still give a review based on what I experienced.

I think that is a good decision. You could commute or drive there and give a review of it. You could share your first experience with it not only with the members of this forum but also with the people that living near you. As you said, it is still far from you and that could mean a lot of people around you do not know what bitcoin and crypto currencies are.
1443  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would make you stop gambling? on: February 19, 2020, 11:56:33 PM
I think it would be having a kids because I would be more focus on them and I would dedicate all of my money for my family.
But as long as I am free then I could continue to enjoy it for as long as I want.

This depends on the person. I mean not all of those gamblers would be wanting a child that can hinder their gambling activities, isn't it? I just hope that a lot of gamblers are like you, and I think you are that kind of gambler that would just stop when you want it since you can prioritize your goals straight and you are responsible too.
1444  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Assess your gambling addiction level. on: February 19, 2020, 11:28:46 PM
So this is my situation. I am addicted in the past and the reason that I am not that addicted now is because of my wife. I am gambling my money around $4 to $10, so I don't know where would I put that. Despite that, my wife usually warns me of leaving me if I continue losing money around $10-$50 since the value of the USD in our country is around 50 pesos. Maybe that will still fall at Level 1 to level 3 since most of them I can really relate.
1445  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: February 19, 2020, 10:32:59 PM
Freethrow's is ruining that 4th quarter. There must be a change for that.

That is the problem. They could just close out a game with a free throw, and I don't think that is something people would be looking for. The problem is that they can't just put "no foul will called in the last minute of the game" since that could be abused by some of the players. Maybe they could stick to something like the last points should be done with a field goal, a dunk, a three-point, a layup, a fadeaway anything that is not a free throw.
1446  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Taxation on: February 19, 2020, 09:29:32 PM
Government doesn't want any one who will be able to transfer fund to prevent money laundering that is why they create a centralized exchange and make profit because of it. It is more like a tax that you have to pay even if it's a cryptocurrency which we all know there is no tax that we have to pay unless there is government behind it.
well it should be like that the government will never be able to control bitcoin so the government will not be able to do the tax costs for all bitcoin transactions because when making transactions using bitcoin you have made tax payments to be used as shipping costs.

But bitcoin may be  mainstream payment method in the past. We don't know but if that happens, the government will be regulating it with a new rule. Maybe it would first go in an exchange so that they can tax it, maybe they can use the exchange itself to tax it or they can create their own exchange and that is where our payment will be going.
1447  Economy / Economics / Re: What will happen if the all countries convert to cryptocurrency? on: February 19, 2020, 02:06:42 PM
If all countries around the world have converted into cryptocurrency, it will really be a big problem when it comes to paying taxes because the government does not support and can't control cryptocurrency that they will lose a huge amount of budget in making establishments. But when it comes to making transactions it will be really fast and convenient for every purchasers.

Another problem might be the transaction time and fees like what happened in the past. The blockchain can't take the transactions because of the spam so a lot of people are paying big transaction fees so their transactions can be approved quickly and avoid waiting for days. If all the countries immediately convert into crypto currencies, that would be a problem.
1448  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is getting more adopted in my Country on: February 18, 2020, 11:57:01 PM
That is nice that there are those ATMs that are being installed in your country. That just means that the owner of these ATMs is seeing the number of users in your country. I know the feeling but don't be that happy though, in our country there is also a lot of ATMs but the adoption of people is so low. People still don't want to use it and just a small of the population use that.
1449  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mail Bombing in exchange of Bitcoin on: February 18, 2020, 10:57:30 PM
What is happening? They are that desperate to earn or get bitcoin? It is good that bitcoin is getting all over social media but I am not expecting that it will be this bad, even worse. As far as I know, there are no reports in the country that died because of that but someone was hospitalized because of the inhalation of the smoke on site. Take care, you guys.
It is not good when bitcoin gets this kind of attention, all this leads to is hastily made decisions by politicians that lead to incorrect regulation and rules that slow down growth and adoption.

And I hope they won't. It will be a mistake if they try to lay that regulations since the people here are the wrong ones and not the bitcoin that is just being used for terrorizing people. Though it is really possible for bitcoin to be regulated more strictly by the government is this stretched out.
Unfortunately these things get drafted hastily and look good as wins to a majority of people who don't know or care about bitcoin, they aren't going to be more informed and with all the negative press it is easy for a politician to demonize it and get a victory.
Any updates about this? What I want to know here is that what is his motive in this bombings. Is he planning to take down bitcoin and crypto currencies so that people would think negatively of it or he wants the government to totally ban it or make a strict regulation in using it? It is just annoying that a lot of people are trying their best to introduce bitcoin to the people and it is being destroyed just by this incident.
1450  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: February 18, 2020, 03:01:25 PM
That would be a great tribute to Kobe that fans will never forget, KOBE as the new logo of the NBA would really nice.

Is it really necessary? Kobe really did shape the league, people are looking up to him, kids usually shouts "Kobe" as they hit a three with a trash can and a piece of paper but the NBA did a lot of tribute for him and I think that is enough. Kobe is one of the GOAT, to be honest, but he doesn't need to be the logo of the NBA and I think if we will be asking him that too that will be his answer. Kobe is a legend, and as music states it, "Legends never die"
1451  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: February 18, 2020, 12:15:56 PM
I think so because some bettors here loves to show their betslips but I have not seem anyone showed that they won betting on Kawhi, not even seen people who are claiming they won. The 4th quarter was something that fans will never forget, it was one of the best all star and I am sure Kobe would be so happy for that since this also was also dedicated for him.

Some fans after this has a lot to say. The first one is that they are thinking that they've seen Kobe on the court and that is just Middleton who really looked like Kobe. Another thing is that a lot of people are so surprised by Chris Paul's dunk while he's been doing that in the past, lastly, the beef of Giannis and Harden, are they really in beef?
1452  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are your recommended ways of gambling. on: February 16, 2020, 11:48:50 PM
The first way when gambling is preparing ourselves to face every result of gambling, be ready of the risks and also be sure that we do not trust anyone when gambling.

I do agree that we should be really responsible for the bets that we are doing. We are gambling so we should be really ready to what will be the results and what will be the consequences of our activities.

Review our playing will help us know what actually happens. And, we can also prefer the game that conforms to us, not only following the lucky people.

But at this point, I don't agree. This way of gambling can excite the gambler more every time a day comes when he has a chance to gamble again. This will be the more reason that a gambler will come back when he sees his mistakes, that will be more reason for them to go back and make their mistakes straight.

1454  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin as a leading currency? on: February 16, 2020, 11:15:13 PM
Bitcoin will for surely gonna be accepted by so many people soon because we are on this era that we are trying to make everything else hassle free like using digital currency in doing your transactions. Bitcoin is a good example since it really makes our transaction faster than before. It is the most trusted coin that is why the value of other coins out there is dependent on the current value of bitcoin.

Not really dependent but it is somewhat related to the dumps that are happening with the price of bitcoin. In the past when people still believe that every end of the year the price will pump, it did not happen at that year and bitcoin continuously fall. Do you think altcoin will follow? no, it did not in fact ethereum at that time reached its ATH proving that it is not dependent on the movement of bitcoin's price.
1455  Economy / Economics / Re: What will happen if the all countries convert to cryptocurrency? on: February 16, 2020, 10:41:50 PM
First, the population of the country that decides to implement cryptocurrencies as a new asset. They should be educated on how to use it because from the beginning it is long learning. The use of cryptocurrencies as we all know requires discipline and knowledge is the main thing to that adoption of the new asset to work and not cause disinterest.
The country should improve telecommunications systems throughout the urban territory. For the good and efficient use of the necessary equipment such as smartphones, Wifi among others. I believe that it will certainly bring more advantages than disadvantages if a good marketing study is carried out and that it has an excellent team of developers who create advanced technology financial products and services.

You are right that if all countries convert to cryptocurrency it will bring us many benefits  Crypto has improved many popular before When our country's government learns about its use  every country will support crypto. Technology will be developed and the economy of the country will be fed.

That will never happen. Governments will be having a problem if that ever happen. If they immediately convert, they will be having a lot of problems not just to the people that do not know it but also the supporting technologies to make that happen. Banks from the monetary system is still not ready, we will still run through mobile payments before we go to crypto currencies.

My friends are saying that I should bet on Meralco since it has higher odds of winning game 1, but my father who usually watches games said that it is better to bet all of it to Ginebra. He's saying that the team might sweep the series, I laughed but I think would put my game 1 on Ginebra.
1459  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which is easier, stop when you are winning or stop when you are losing? on: February 16, 2020, 01:18:39 PM
I think it is easier to quit when I am losing After losing,

Either win or lose I think I don't have a problem but I do agree that it is easier to quit when you are losing. The thing about is that if you are aware that you are losing continuously, you better start or take a safe decision rather than recklessly betting all of the money you had. Those streaks of losses will tell how unlucky you are that day, you should be aware of that as always.

Honestly when it comes down to dunking ability, everyone was great however one thing we are all forgetting that at one point NBA dunk contest became more like an entertainment and not just good dunks. Remember when Blake Griffin jumped over a car?? (ok hood of the car) remember all the nate robinson and Howard rival stuff? Sure howard brought out the cape this year and it was nice to have 24 there as well but that doesn't mean that this was entertainment at all, this was just bunch of amazing dunkers just jumping really high and dunking really well, there was no "extra" involved at all and that is literally whats missing from dunk contest for the past few years, someone has to make something really extra in order to make this a lot more fun again, otherwise its bunch of dunkers just dunking.

What are you saying? Did you not just watch the dunk competition? Aaron Gordon just dunked over a guy more than 7 feet tall, that is far better in Blake Griffin's dunk over a car's hood and Nate's dunk over Dwight Howard that is just 6'11. If that is not extra, I don't know what you still want, and I am still wondering how Aaron still lost the dunk contest. Come on, that jump is more than 47 points.
