1821  Economy / Economics / Re: 🔵 Facebook Agrees to Pay $5 BILLION, BUT will they ever stop?? on: August 29, 2019, 01:01:40 PM
Yeah, and most likely this scenario will happen.
I just don't think anyone in Facebook wants to change their ways of doing things and earning money.

I bet they will continue doing those things but this time, since people know how they do it, they will be changing their ways. Not changing that they will not be doing that again but changing it in the way people would not know they are doing it again. They are spoiled to the money and information they are gathering so why stop?
1822  Economy / Economics / Re: is it possible that the bitcoin was created by governments? on: August 29, 2019, 12:02:23 PM
According to conspiracy theory, Is it possible that the bitcoin was created by governments to gain financial strength in the modern world?

If this is true then do you think of which country will do that? I don't see it was the US as Donal Trump is against it and I don't think it was Japan too because even they already treated Bitcoin as currency for their direct spending but they never claim it even Nakamoto was a Japanese name.

I am not suspecting anyone here but what I will be saying here is just a theory. Ever heard of the bank heist in Bangladesh? The plan was so great and it is said that the suspects there were from "North Korea". You can watch the video here, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Usu9z0feHug.
As I said, this is just a theory. North Korean was said to be one of the countries that used cybercrimes to attack countries and I think the goal here is to get the money they needed to maybe improve and develop their military strength, just imagine, they are the one holding most of the bitcoins in the world, that would be billions and billions that they can use to develop their weapons.
1823  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did you ever won a huge amount on gambling? on: August 29, 2019, 11:35:29 AM
Casinos really don't like the hit and run types and they do everything they can so you continue to play.  No windows, no clocks, flashy lifhgts, alcohol, and free food.  Keeps people staying at their hotel and continuing to play until they usually end up in the red.

So true, that is the reason why I don't think most of the gamblers will be able to win a huge amount unless you are gambling outside a casino like a lottery or online gambling sites. In my case, I don't usually win a huge amount since all I had is losses after losses, if we will be talking about the long run, in terms of shorter terms, I sometimes won huge amount though it usually ends up in the same place the next day.
1824  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: People who gamble are degenerates, change my mind. on: August 29, 2019, 11:11:08 AM
You can certainly play to have fun, but it all depends on the emotional state of a person, as well as on his character.  There are such people that even when they play a simple card game, their excitement is so strong that they are capable of inappropriate actions if something goes wrong with them.  And there is no interest, and even no cash bets, and this person is already becoming dangerous for his excitement.

You're missing something here. You can certainly have fun while gambling as long as you have the money to support that. It doesn't depend on the emotional state of that certain person, that depends on the person itself if he will be letting himself controlled by his emotions or not. I've been struggling to stop myself from gambling and I can tell you that it is so hard but the thing here is that it is not you vs. your addiction but there are a lot of people around you to help.
1825  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I've lost on: August 28, 2019, 11:54:12 PM
I'm sorry to hear that. Gambling addiction is a horrible thing to deal with, and takes a tremendous amount of will power to break free from. You've lost a lot of money, but you still have the most important and valuable thing.... Your life and health. Try to find something to replace gambling with. It could be a hobby or a Church group. Stay strong and keep moving forward in your life. Your past doesn't equal your future.

Don't forget your family or your loved ones since in my experience, they are the ones that helped me from taking myself out of gambling addiction, not entirely out but they really helped me. Desperation can really lead you to addiction that is why we should prioritize our goals so we will not be going to places we should not be.
1826  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: August 28, 2019, 11:19:06 PM
if he will do good, there is a big possibility of an NBA comeback just like what other NBA stars did in the past.
Forget about going back and move on. Be a star in China.
I agree with Reid here. What's the point of coming back? He should just enjoy his playing time in China and retire there. He gets to play basketball and he gets to earn millions. He can simply become a basketball ambassador there just like Yao Ming.

He might be the savior of the team he joined. He will be appreciated there unlike what league he left. But in your opinion? What is best for him, to play at the team he has now and come back or maybe when NBA saw he still improving, is it good for him to go back after some time? For me, I think it is better to stay with the Chinese team he has now.
1827  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's going on with BTC? on: August 28, 2019, 11:08:47 PM
Actually, everything is normal. Bitcoin has been volatile for some time and will stay longer depending on the news.
It will be interesting, if in fact important countries introduce their own national currencies.

I don't think that will be effective at all. Imagine, North Korea releasing their own currency and saying that it will be offering its users full anonymity with each of their transactions, will you believe that? It will be more interesting if the countries stop banning, stop overthinking about bitcoin and crypto currencies and start accepting them.
1828  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why haven't governments illegalized bitcoin transactions? on: August 28, 2019, 10:34:26 PM
Do You know the  number of politicians that hold BTC in disguise. They will never support that though they might not be able to come out any support BTC at the moment but things will change over time

And I'm wondering how did you know that they are hiding their BTCs in their computers at home? Another thing is that, when Mark Zauckerburg was asked by some people at the government, obviously, they do not know what they are talking about and that also proves that they might not know or even agree with the idea of decentralization.
1829  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the ICO dead? on: August 28, 2019, 10:01:07 PM
I don't think it is dead, to be honest, there are a lot of them in the market. I think that is the reason why the ICO is struggling right now, there are a lot of them and they are mixed with scams, with a lot of the investors can't keep up where to invest or put their money. If it is dead, I don't think ICO projects would continue to add up.
1830  Other / Archival / Re: Is KYC benefit to crypto people or not on: August 28, 2019, 01:16:47 PM
KYC is just a tool of anti-money laundering and I think there is nothing wrong about it. IN countries like the US, the crypto market is very much regulated with the Federal Reserve having every information about the inflow and outflow of money to and from the economy so I think there is no point in avoiding KYC because whatever you do is known by the exchange.
Yes, KYC is not wrong, however, many people do FUD regarding data information. KYC is indeed very important to avoid money laundering and other frauds. some KYC is also quite easy to do such as self-identification cards, and selfies. yeah, that's easy enough to do. it's just that we need to know who we give it to.
If exchangers not trust traders, then how can traders trust exchangers...Some exchange companies misuse our KYC details

There are a lot of people wanting to do bad things in their advantage. They want to earn money easily even if it means doing a crime and being strict is not new in the internet. The thing here is thay how can you say thay these exchanges misuse the KYC details these traders are sending? Care to explain?
1831  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pacquiao Vs Mayweather 2 on: August 28, 2019, 11:45:25 AM
If Floyd Mayweather will continue his marathon boxing style, no one could beat him even Manny Pacquiao. It's clear Mayweather is afraid Manny's big punch he knows what will happen to him once he's hit.

I don't know about that. Mayweather already faced Manny Pacquiao and at that time he's younger than he is now so I don't think he is afraid of his punches but afraid of what Manny can do to him right now. Manny's performance is so great despite his age that he even beat One time Thurman.
1832  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: August 28, 2019, 10:30:12 AM
Jeremy Lin has given up his chance on signing on an NBA team as he is now a Duck  Grin. He is the latest member of the CBA's Beijing Ducks.

I think this is an excellent move on his part as his stint with the CBA may boost his confidence as he has a lot of follower on China and  if he will do good, there is a big possibility of an NBA comeback just like what other NBA stars did in the past.

That's what he should do and not mourn about his career in the NBA because there are still doors open for him. If he can show good quality basketball in China, there could be some scout in the NBA that possibly bring him back to the league.

I think it is better for him to stay there than go back to NBA. There are a lot of his experiences there, and I think that is a proof for him that NBA is not his stop but what he is chasing right now. It is better way to improve his skill in a team that is interested in you than a league that really don't mind about you.
1833  Economy / Economics / Re: What will happen if the all countries convert to cryptocurrency? on: August 27, 2019, 12:33:27 PM
I think not possible.but Is it likely.does not depend on the banks or the governments. If all countries accept cryptocurrency, cryptocurrency can become legitimate currency, and the use of cryptocurrency transactions will become easier.

There are a lot of countries that accepts bitcoin, some already legalized it some don't really care about it. I don't know what you are saying but it is like that you are saying that it is illegitimate, a fake currency. Well, it is not called currency most of them time but for me it is a crypto currency, it is not fake, it is legitimate crypto currency.
1834  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will cryptocurrency soon be an alternate payment option? on: August 27, 2019, 11:01:54 AM
Lol cryptocurrency will be the next payment to be use and not as an option, while those big company is starting to adopt crypto as payments the world also is starting to accept cryptocurrency in their daily living just like us cryptonians people will son realize that we can make every transaction fast and easy with the help of cryptocurrency and specially bitcoin

I know that the transactions are getting high and higher but I don't think the "world" is starting to accept it as you've said. I can say that since I am from a province that is not really interested in these kinds of technologies. They are fond or used to what they are now and if we will be talking about fast and easy transactions? They still choose online and mobile payments than crypto currencies.
1835  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Makes Bitcoin Valuable? on: August 25, 2019, 03:55:44 PM
yeah, even if it was possible to be anonymous, it wouldn't be safe. it is good to be verified while investing, especially when you use reliable and trustworthy cryptocurrency exchange, there is nothing to worry about, that they have got your data

You still need to worry since they got your data, how is not that worrying? But this is not what Bitcoin made valuable, the reason here is that Bitcoin is the first crypto currency, the most expensive and with a lot of users and its volatility, obviously a lot of people would risk their money to invest on it.
1836  Economy / Economics / Re: stupidity is so close to poverty on: August 25, 2019, 02:59:04 PM
Stupidity is not the basis of being poverty. You are just a fool if you do not make a way to succeed. stupidity is just a habit. everyone has that habit. but it depends on where you use it. you just don't use that to enrich and crush people.

Then what is the meaning of stupidity for you? Ever search it? Stupid is different from being a fool but they are close to each other and stupidity is the highest of them all. Stupid means you lack of intelligence or common sense, how would you even succeed in life if you lack those two? A habit? Are you kidding me? A stupid person will always be a stupid person.
1837  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Discussion] The International 2019: Dota 2 World Championship on: August 25, 2019, 02:04:11 PM
I hope they changed the venue, Dota2 has a great community, they don't need sponsors for the event and we don't need bias crowd.

They already announced the venue, you can just searched that out since as far as I know, it is in Sweden. This crowd is really biased, TNC is booed in the event, that is really bad.

OG has the easiest way to reach the finals so it means they're on the level of Gods.

NoTail with those counter picks is really great, I don't know what to say. A lot of hero pool are available for Team Liquid but OG has their own trap picks that really fool Liquid's team plays. No one will really defeat this team as long as they are not holding papers like NoTail, it is funny but I think that book really holds the reason why they won.
1838  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Discussion] The International 2019: Dota 2 World Championship on: August 25, 2019, 01:23:57 PM
I am high, and I know Team OG is higher. They are the first Dota2 team to win twice in the TI and not only that, they won back to back and that is a record no one will ever break so easily. They shaped the meta this TI and it is really amazing. They started the meta of IO as carry and they end the tournament with that meta, so amazing. Congratulations to them!
1839  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Discussion] The International 2019: Dota 2 World Championship on: August 25, 2019, 11:49:08 AM
Go liquid! That's insane that OG is unstoppable in game two not letting Liquid farm and killing every hero they see. I hope Liquid will find a way to adjust in that kind of play to regain the lead.

Not really surprised by it since we all know how OG really is so aggressive as long as they have the chance. If liquid let OG play like that again the third time, well, that is the end and OG will be the first team to win TI not only twice, but back to back wins. I want OG to win but Liquid did great too so it is hard to bet on these two teams. I put VG in my compendium by the way, how about you guys?
1840  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are banks scared of crypto on: August 24, 2019, 10:41:19 PM
I don't think they are afraid of it since there is no way that the government will be legalizing and make it their national currency, right? Instead of being scared to it, I guess they can use it to improve, to develop the technology they had.
