This is big news. Personally, I have always enjoyed Raja's commentary and views on Cricket which is why I feel that PCB did the right thing appointing him as their chief. This could help the Pakistan team move in the right direction in my opinion.
Hopefully Ramiz Raja will do things in his power to improve the domestic circuit and i used to watch the podcast of Shoaib Akhtar who is an aggressive critic and he used to invite guest usually former players and ask for solutions to improve cricket in Pakistan and so is the case with Inzamam-ul-Haq who reviews every match through his podcast.

I am sure if these former players are paid decently and appoint them, they will be willing to work and help in developing young talents

Some stupid people are opposing his appointment due to his support for Indian Cricket. These people are clearly focusing on his political side and neglecting his experience in Cricket over the years.
I am not sure about his political affiliation, the only thing i heard Ramiz Raja did was to compare how India is producing great talents while Pakistan who had great talents in the past are now struggling and it is a positive criticism to improve the infrastructure.
1922  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anderson Silva vs Tito Ortiz on September 11 on: September 02, 2021, 09:55:38 PM
After watching Anderson Silva vs. Tito Ortiz Press Conference I decided to bet on Tito Ortiz. Yeah, I know about the odds, he's the underdog, I know. But this guy is so ready, he's so excited about the upcoming fight. And when I'm saying "ready", I mean he's ready to lose too, and that's what counts a lot imo.

I hate risking a lot of money, so I placed just $2 on Tito
Since you placed a small amount of money on Tito Ortiz there is nothing much to worry. If you followed the career of Tito Ortiz in MMA you would know that he always spoke high about his skills before the fight even though he usually comes up with blunders as he would forget his lines most of the times and if you search youtube you will find many funny press conference where he is involved mainly against fighters who can talk back especially the press conference with Chael Sonnen.

Anderson Silva is not known to be a good promoter or never talks a big fight plan throughout his career and i am not expecting anything new from him now. I will not give Tito Ortiz even a punchers chance in this fight Wink.
1923  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: South African Man Loses $900,000 Worth Of BTC After Accidentally Deleting Keys on: September 02, 2021, 04:55:32 PM
~
I haven't read the entire story but I think such keys can be easily restored by using data recovery software or since the amount involved is gigantic, he can also hire an expert to help him out and promise them a good amount. If my maths is right, it is nearly 20 BTC that's lost and any good hacker/technician will recover them for a mere 1 BTC.
If he has the hard disk with him, he can use any decent recovery tools and try to recover everything and it is not a huge deal. There are many who never bothered about the coins when there were no valuation and millions of coins were lost because they forgot the password and some never bothered to keep a back up of their private keys and once the price started to rally some bothered to check their old wallets and then found out their grave mistakes.

If he still have the password stores in a notepad he can always recover even if he formatted multiple times.

This private keys and decentralization part of Bitcoins is what makes it tricky sometimes. I have friends who always ask me what's the best wallet and while I refrain from suggesting them custodial wallets, I don't have a very good suggestion to offer them regarding the non-custodial ones because all these core software can be tricky for a new user.
There is nothing much confusion, all you need to think is like a bank vault and you can print out the private keys and keep them safe. There are many light weight wallets available in the market which are much easier to use in mobile as well like Electrum, Armory, Edge which can be used in multiple platforms and OS and then there are hardware wallets. You will get all the tutorials online and it is not that hard.

Never suggest custodial wallets.

What if for the next match India give rest to their 2 seamers (Ishant + 1 more) and include Ashwin and Thakur saab?
No changes in the batting order and inclusion of Ashwin and Thakur might able to do some damage control because our middle order is not in great form and Pant is looking dim too.
Jaddu, Ashwin, Thakur batting at number 7,8,9 looks okay.
England paid the price in the second Test match when they let go of the tactics and Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami took advantage of that situation and changed the match around and i doubt they will do the same mistakes again. If the top order fails there is nothing the tail end can do. We might see some performance here and there and the bowlers are performing well and the batsman has to put runs on the board.

I would like to see Ajinkya Rahane getting rested and India giving some new talents the opportunity to make their debut but the talks going on is that Hanuma Vihari will get a chance and Ashwin will be playing the next game instead of Jadeja. It would be great if they give Suryakumar Yadav to make his debut and i am expecting him to be an asset in the team by the way he performs in other formats on a consistent basis.

@bryant.coleman the possible theory is that they didn’t consider Bangladesh strong enough, and that’s why in their overconfidence they decided to not have any practice matches. Also this failure will serve them well, as it’ll help them understand where they need to be better and hopefully they’ll perform better in their upcoming matches.
This is a lame theory now, New Zealand was over confident that they sent a weak team, when Australia toured Bangladesh this year and not that long ago in August, they had the same fate as they struggled miserably against Bangladesh and you think that the New Zealand selectors were sleeping when that happened  Grin.

New Zealand sent the best team possible and they struggled against Bangladesh and full credits to Bangladesh for showcasing that kind of dominant performance rather than sugar coating the pathetic performance of New Zealand by saying they were overconfident in sending a weak team Tongue.

Ashwin surely gonna play the next match and very likely he will replace Ishant sharma because all the other seemers have performed very well in the second test match and i dont think rahane would be dropped for vihari . May be one more match they will see and then make the decision.
Even i think Ashwin deserves a place in the team as he is the best spinner in the world and they need to replace Jadeja as India cannot afford to put two spinners in the team. They need to rest Ajinkya Rahane and include Suryakumar Yadav and see how he will perform because he always performed in other formats whenever he was given the opportunity and it is time for him to make his debut in Test.
1927  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can anyone tell me the true value of NFT? on: August 29, 2021, 07:28:56 PM
~
Why can a pixel image sell for 4200 ETH? Where is its value? What kind of people will buy it?
The price depend upon how you evaluate them. I am not going to spend millions for pixel images, you can only understand the value if you are really into the art. In the beginning even i was thinking why would anyone spend insane amounts like this but then when i started working for NFT projects then i understand why people are willing to spend money. There are many that are there to resell them at a higher price but then there are hardcore fans who wanted them for their collection .
1928  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is staking Halal or Haram In Islam ? on: August 29, 2021, 06:47:56 PM
I was looking at different aspects of staking and wondering if its Halal Or Haram in Islam as staking is similar to Interest.
Some people think staking is like mining , so if staking is not permissible then mining should also be non-permissible.
Some people say that Staking at exchanges like binance is Haram, as they offer fixed returns but staking on pancakeswap is allowed in religion as the returns are not fixed  Huh
Some say that Staking is not Halal overall, because in every kind of staking the quantity of coins get increased (interest is based upon quantity and not price), so if the price of coin (e.g Cake) goes up or down, it does not matter as the quantity of coin is increasing at fixed rate.
Its a debatable topic and hope someone gives a better advice.
The funny fact is that religion will bend according to new invention, initially people will be against it and then they will accept them and historically we have seen that and it will be like that in the future Tongue.

Basically it is stupidity to combine religion to each and every aspect, if anyone thinks that staking or mining is against their philosophy just do not do that, the problem i have is finding out the justification from others which does not make any sense because the aspect of newer technology will not be there in any religious text and the concept of flying and making long distance calls were super natural when these religions were created  Cheesy

Once again pathetic performance by Ireland. If they perform this poorly at home, then I have to say that they have zero chances to advance from the qualifying stage in the T20 World Cup. Zimbabwe were in dire straits when Regis Chakabva got out. They were 64/5. I expected Ireland to bowl out their opponents below 100. But then Milton Shumba and Ryan Burl just butchered the Irish bowlers in the last 5 overs. 59 runs came from the last five overs. What is happening with Ireland nowadays?
What ever may be the situation, Ireland won the match. I did not watch the entire match and i am about to watch the highlights, i am looking for good edited ones with good quality and then i will make a comment, but looking at the scoreboard Zimbabwe were 64 for 5 in 10 overs and it is great to see that they were able to reach 152 runs but Ireland was too good today.
1930  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley on: August 29, 2021, 04:20:10 PM
~
Woodley is guaranteed $500k ,so most probably Jake Paul makes at least 1 million in this fight.
This will be the biggest payday for Tyron Woodley in his career.

Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley I think will be a decision by Jake Paul. Tyron Woodley is carrying a lot of muscle and while he weighed in 1/2 a pound lighter than Jake Paul in the weigh ins I think that extra muscle will mean he will tire quickly. Tyron is used to fighting in the ufc and I think his pacing for boxing will also make him tire more quickly. I do not see Jake Paul knocking out Tyron Woodley.
After watching the stare down, the size difference was evident, Tyron Woodley was slowing down in the UFC and may be he was more into other activities as some accuses him and what is the impact he make in boxing depends upon his explosive skills he had during his hay day.

That is only if he loses if he wins he will get more. They also make money from sponsorships and fulfilling media duties so the end figure will be a lot more than $500k earned.
I think with all the sponsors he will be getting he may be making well over a million dollars along with the guaranteed fees and it will be the biggest payday in his career and i am sure if Tyron Woodley looses against Jake Paul he will call out his brother Logan Paul .

Really sad to see such collapse of lower order once again, Yesterday after a strong performance from the top order I was hopeful that India would at least not lose with an innings but once Pujara got out there was a streak of wickets, even Rahane isn't able to find back his form, while Pant is becoming too inconsistent once again
If you score 78 runs in the first innings you cannot expect them to bat any differently and the innings defeat is not a huge surprise but if India somehow avoided the innings defeat that then it would have been a huge surprise  Cheesy.

In these types of matches you expect Ashwin and Thakur to be in playing 11 for a deeper batting, You can't obviously expect Shami and Bumrah to lead your front in every match.
Not sure adding Ashwin would have made any difference, the pitch was not helping the spinners but the best thing England did was to change their openers and Root owning the ground with his consistent performance and if he fails the entire England team will suffer. The India bowler did not get the correct line and length for this pitch.
1932  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why such high fees in ETH? on: August 28, 2021, 10:33:28 PM
What's going with gas fees? After the London fork, the gas fees only went up. They raised gas limit, and the blocks are half empty, even 5% - 15% filled, but gas fees are through the roof! It's not about limited capacity right now, yet it's very expensive. What is reason for that?
The reason for the spike in the gas fees for ETH in the past few days was some high profiled NFT drops that had an impact than the usual trading volume and many were facing issues and there was a sudden spike in transaction charges and then another reason could be the bug that was identified in Go Ethereum and there is a possibility of double spend and that might increase the gas price high.
1933  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good ways to trade? on: August 28, 2021, 08:42:59 PM
Hi I am new to crypto and wonder what are some of the best technical indicators to use for trading?
There is no cut short answer for this as the market does not follow the conventional way but you can view the indicators and patterns to have an idea on how the market could perform but it is not conclusive. I personally keep it simple, invest in the top coins when the market is going down and wait for the long haul and then my other form of investment which i recently started once again is finding out new projects to invest and if it is a good project then you are making a huge profit unlike any other investment.
1934  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin = 100k by December on: August 28, 2021, 07:36:01 PM
Can Bitcoin Still Make 100k by December?  Huh
When Bitcoin (BTC) reached its all-time high of $65,000 in April, it felt like the $100,000 mark was the next stop for the cryptocurrency. However, the following months brought along a change in market trend and the entire cryptocurrency market took a steep dive.
We can speculate all we can and i have seen these speculation for a long time and hopefully we will cross the all time high valuation by the end of this year but not sure whether we will be able to reach $100k but with BTCitcoin anything is possible once the rally starts. All the institutional institutions might pump the market and i am sure they have booked their profit when the market reached its all time high valuation and entered again at support level.

Now I feel worried about whether it is truly safe to use P2P. If we fall for such a kind of scam, Though I still didn't and I always verified and 100+ order completed people plus checked his review and 100% review gained people. And I want to know if you guys have any such experience on p2p? Please share your story.
Rule number one is to look for users with more than 100 verified transaction and it is always better to look for sites that require full KYC, if not you will face issues like this and it is a big headache if it is large amount of money from hacked accounts. I went through similar situation in Paxful or similar platform which i do not remember exactly a few yeas back and the bank called me after a few weeks to inquire as part of an investigation about the transaction because i received money from an compromised account.

Since i had a good reputation with the bank and local authorities, the matter is sorted with one phone call as part of that investigation when i explained them about how that transaction happened and that is a lesson i learned from my experience and i stopped dealing with strangers nor doing P2P transactions in paxful or LBC.
1936  Economy / Economics / Re: Enjoy communism (III) rats eating dead people and people eating rats in NK on: August 27, 2021, 09:56:48 PM

Let us not forget. There has not been a single communist regime, not one that did not work, but one that did not starve to death and repress its population.
I would like to state that you did not mention one country that followed real communism because real communism is really different than the countries you mentioned because you are mixing socialism which is not pure communism and authoritarian regime like they have in North Korea.

Coming to Cuba, under Fidel Castro it was a much better rule and they focused on education and at one point the literacy rates were much higher than some of the developed countries and their health care system was great and lastly i am coming from a state which is ruled by Communist Party of India (Marxist) and the development is evident as our state is usually rated number one in terms of education and other social economic benchmarks.

Since you are talking about communism, Now coming to New Zealand, Jacinda Ardern is the prime minister from Labour Party which is a left wing political party. If you have any debates regarding this we can continue  Wink.

I'm genuinely scared if such female fighters evolve or we will have more like these:
Even Axe murderer looks pretty next to her
Have you seen Gabi Garcia fight, i saw her fight when she fought in Rizin Fighting and i noticed her because she was the sparring partner of Cris Cyborg and i accept Gabi Garcia has BJJ skills but her striking is laughable as she is really slow and any decent opponent could see the strikes coming from a distance and that too not strong ones Grin.

Suddenly was his by this question - why there are no more UFC events on UFC Island in Abu Dhabi? These events bring a lot of money, there are highly solvent audience there, covid is almost not a problem in UAE. Last event there was in January (Conor vs Poirier 2). Anyone knows the reason why almost all the events are in UFC Apex?
US started allowing audience and these big events were conducted in the UAE when US was in complete lockdown and not allowing sporting events and then comes the transportation of production units and i am sure UFC will be conducting events once or twice every year.
1938  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fake token in wallet on: August 27, 2021, 04:31:37 PM

Such tokens are usually sent for advertising purposes and you won't lose anything other than the transaction fee when swapping them. But that hasn't always been the case.
Thank you for pointing that out, the ways in which the scammers tries to out think is mind boggling and the developers need to understand these flaws and the reason for executing the attack is RUNE using non standard contract. I would say incompetent developers launching their tokens without much testing and the hackers are doing their job exploiting them Undecided.
1939  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: August 26, 2021, 05:18:56 PM
India are screwed in the 3rd test. England successfully claimed their revenge at this point. Majority of the English bowlers were on fire. They could win by an innings in my opinion.
England is still batting and a few changes and the team woke up and playing as if they are world champions. Jonny Bairstow and Jos Buttler are the only batsman who did not contribute but the rest of the top order performed well and they now have a lead of 338 runs.
I am expecting the match to be over by the 4th day if India try to resist and somehow delay the England win or the weather needs to help India.

Started off as a fun and the developers thought to have a good time but then the shilling of Elon Musk changed everything and now Dogecoin has become one of the most volatile coin and it is time they return after the long hiatus and start implementing the updates because the last time when the price started to rise the transaction was getting delay and the developers had to scramble and made the updates.
