1981  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What will happen to Tether? on: August 08, 2021, 08:16:37 PM
New and interesting to speak about Tether. My question is, why it should fall under bankruptcy. A stable cryupto currency, used by vast traders to hold their crypto value stable in crypto wallet, has more rooms to circulate it and keep it more live, what makes you to think it would fall into bankruptcy. Just curious to know. I am a trader and i do always trade coins with USDT pair. I would be the one who will be disappointed if tether is not in the market.
If you knew how the developers earn money for every coin they add in the market and the promise they give you is that all the coins that are in circulation is backed by US Dollar and now it is clear that less than 10% is backed by dollars and the rest are held in other assets that are risky in nature. What do you think will happen when the risky assets goes to zero and what would be the valuation of the USDT you are holding.
1982  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: August 08, 2021, 07:05:48 PM
I think there is something superstition on the Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium in Bangladesh. Australia being a top team suffering so bad to make a win makes me think in such a way. In the fourth T20 the target is just 104, Australia had reached the target losing 7 wickets and 6 balls left. In this match Dan Christian and Ashton Agar have contributed with 39 and 27 runs. If one has lost the wicket, this match could've gone into the hands of Bangladesh.
Australia is a top team but they were not playing the best team in this series as some of the players like David Warner and a few others opted out of the team and there was injury concerns in the team and the team was literally new playing in spinning wickets. Even the Bangladesh batsman struggled to score runs and that says a lot about the pitch.
1983  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: August 08, 2021, 03:05:59 PM
Rain has been stopped and it highly possible to start match. Currently tea Break .... We all waiting for next update. Pitch outfield very moisture ... So spinner and fast ball can beat any batsman....
The match is called off without a single ball being bowled on the final day and the advantage was for India coming into the final day and i thought they could have won the match considering the batting line up they have and the total was not that huge. India needs to regroup and play like this throughout the tournament and if there is no rain interruption we could see a competitive series because i am sick of these stale draws due to bad weather.

Why POS makes the system centralized in your opinion? Because rich people will own majority of "shares/ stock/ equity" = voting power? Isn't it even worse with POW, where rich people with resources can set mining farm in most profitable location all around the globe, negotiate lower hardware prices, negotiate lower energy price = can mine cheaper than others with less money? With POS you need 32 ETH and you can mine as efficient as a hodler with 100k ETH (profit from 1 ETH will be constant).
There is a major difference when you own a mining farm to mint POW initially you are taking the risk and spending money to maintain the network and even after that you need to sell the minted coins to maintain the farm and they cannot hoard the coins indefinitely unlike staking where you are holding the coins and there is no resources to pay and you can hold them indefinitely and have the absolute governing power.

Anyone who is willing to spend money can set up a farm and compete with other mining farms in POW, can you absolutely say that with POS, new entrants even with money and willing to spend can farm as a main node or will it be restricted for a selected few, a new world of centralized cryptocurrency.
1985  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba inu on: August 08, 2021, 10:28:20 AM
is it a joke or what?
i personally dont think that its a real deal to go up with.
Rumors that shiba inu is like bitcoin yet i dont see many websites using it. is there any earn-money site paying in shiba inu?
It is a fun token created as a meme which is run on top of ETH Network, the creator is anonymous and he is known as Ryoshi and he is trying to play the Satoshi  Cheesy. All i can tell is to invest at your own risk, the hype got the coin and there are many investors in them but do not expect it to be accepted anywhere and it will be a pump and dump coin and i would like to see what happens to many of these similar projects after the major correction.
1986  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: August 07, 2021, 06:48:29 PM
Target isn't big and two session of tomorrow will be enough to chase it. India scored 34 runs till now and lost 1 wicket.
The target is not that huge for India to chase but they still need to get 157 runs in the final day with 9 wickets in hand and the positive aspect is that India is not in the back foot and they can still win the match easily if a couple of players perform well and hopefully Virat Kohli would stay till the end but James Anderson and Stuart Broad will test the players and the weather is an important factor.
1987  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Xiomi Portugal start accepting crypto on: August 07, 2021, 04:58:15 PM
I'm not surprised with the move because Portugal is known as one of the most crypto-friendly countries in Europe but I'm more intrigued with the brand. We all know that Xiaomi is a Chinese company and we also know (based on published articles) the unfriendly stance of the Chinese regulators towards crypto.
The Chinese government will roll their eyes and Xiaomi will stop accepting cryptocurrency because they cannot survive if they are going against the government. Whatever it may be how is the brand doing in Portugal, even though i never owned a product from them i heard they are having some slick products and so is the case with some of the Chinese Mobile brands, cheaper and have all the options like expensive ones.

Edit: So they backtracked from accepting cryptocurrency, i knew this will happen Cheesy .

Proudest day as a fan of the sport as Neeraj Chopra won the first ever Gold Medal in track and field for India in Javelin throw. My phoned kept popping up with messages about the gold medal victory and to be frank this is the first time i am hearing about him even though he is a Common Wealth Gold medal winner and was an upcoming talent in the junior level, there is not much encouragement from the media or anyone else apart from Cricket and it is really depressing.

Shout outs to Neeraj Chopra and all the other winners Kiss.

It obviously doesn't follow the same rules as boxing, watch the fights. Referees let clinch going on and don't say anything when there are elbow strikes, I don't know if they are fully allowed but they seem to be softly tolerated at least.
It is a new emerging sport and the rules will be relaxed in the first few shows, as per the rules they cannot elbow and i have not seen a fight with elbows in Bare Knuckle as i am not watching all the fights but certain fights i watched i never saw anyone throwing elbows as one point will be taken away or gets disqualified.

Even when the UFC started there were no rules, even groin shoots were allowed and the only restrictions was biting the opponent and eventually it turned out to be a sport where everyone could watch  Cheesy.

~
Yeah, i was surprised on seeing a women who do really join up with these fights even on MMA or boxing or something because this isnt something that would be good for women
The only reason many women signed up for Bare Knuckle fights was they were getting paid well than in the MMA or Boxing world, the promoters wanted to attract fans and they are giving good amount of money for popular fighters and so was the reason Paige VanZant tried her luck there as well .

Taylor Starling and Charisa Sigala was the most brutal fight i have seen a women getting into in Bare Knuckle or any combat event and i cannot imagine how many surgeries they had to get their facial structure with the kind of beating both gave each other. If you started liking the sport watch that fight, i had my cringe moments after the end of the fight seeing both their faces.

Finally India was able to make a couple of break through and England trailing by 27 runs and if the weather is clear we will be seeing an interesting match up in the final two sessions of the match tomorrow and hopefully the rain will not mess up the match. I still give advantage to India and if the target is anything below 200 - 220 runs for India then things will get really interesting.
1991  Economy / Economics / Re: Can developing countries follow El Salvador use Bitcoin? on: August 07, 2021, 09:44:51 AM
Since El Salvador became the first country to approve Bitcoin as a legal tender, it has become international news and has attracted attention from the market, especially the cryptocurrency market. Many countries are paying close attention to this big move.
All the countries are monitoring the BTCitcoin market for a long time to come out with rules and regulations and i am not a big fan of any country forcing the citizens to comply with anything as i have seen many protest from El Salvador regarding this.

Using Bitcoin in El Salvador can bring meaningful social benefits to many people who do not have a bank account and cannot access basic financial services. People can benefit from the potential of low-cost remittances and durable savings accounts that are not affected by money supply expansion and hyperinflation. And with the advent of the Lightning Network, using Bitcoin as a payment method has become more feasible.
We are talking about people who are not having a bank account and you think BTCitcoin will make a change and how is that ? If you are talking about a free market then it is well and good but if you are talking about people who are finding it hard to make ends meet and they are not having a bank account because they are not having enough money to hold them in the bank and how you think a highly volatile market can save them Tongue.
1992  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the crypto hype over? on: August 07, 2021, 06:50:27 AM

Sometimes I wonder if the crypto hype is over. "De-Fi" and NFTs are still a big hit, but interest/demand seems to be slowly declining. I'm guessing the next Bitcoin halving will "revive" the hype. But there's no guarantee this will happen since crypto behaves in many strange and bizarre ways.

Do you think the crypto hype is over?
May be the cryptocurrency market was waiting for your to start a topic like this and show you who the boss is as all the market is rallying  Tongue. It is too early to come to a conclusion that the rally ended this year as there is plenty of time for the market to revive until we see a major sell off like we used to see after every rally in the past. I am expecting the market to rally further till the winter and then we can talk about the hype slowing down until the next halving Wink.
1993  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: August 06, 2021, 04:52:10 PM
What is happening with Australia, they are struggling to chase small totals even with plenty of wickets in hand. Australia lost another match against Bangladesh and they target was 128 runs and they had 6 wickets in hand and they could only reach 117 runs in 20 overs, what kind of batting display is that, why cant be swing and see what happens rather than loosing miserably like this Cry.
1994  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Friendship breakup viral meme sold for $51,530 as NFT on: August 05, 2021, 11:58:47 PM
I saw the headline in one of the newspaper and i was curious what it was all about and after reading everything i started laughing but then it was a gem because they were able to raise over $50k with the entire meme and that is serious money we are talking about. The story seems to be true and someone pissed off at the friends started these in social media and it took a life off its own Cheesy.
1995  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Amazon is looking to accept Bitcoin payments by the end of the year on: August 04, 2021, 08:38:07 PM

Yeah, that's been shot down already. This is just rumours and none is true. Though at least for now, there might be a not too distant future where BTC payment will be accepted by Amazon but considering this rumour perhaps it will be wise to wait for the official announcement.
These rumors started in late 2013 or 2014 if i remember correctly that Amazon is going to accept BTCitcoin when Overstock, Wordpress, Namecheap started accepted payments in BTCitcoin we started hearing the rumor of Amazon planning to accept BTCitcoin and we never saw that 7 years down the line, anyone who is in the market during that period will remember the same rumor with Paypal as well accepting BTCitcoin during late 2013 and it took 6 years for them to start accepting them and like that we might see Amazon accepting them as well in the future.

Those ladies are really courageous I think, it seems that even elbow strikes are allowed. Well women MMA fights can be very brutal too, but at least they are wearing gloves and fights are seldom made of strikes only.
Anyone participating in bare knuckle fighting is courageous as it is brutal and can cause serious damage to your face, it follows the same rules as Boxing as you cannot elbow and the only way is to connect with your closed fist and nothing more. The only protection they have is they can wrap their hands if not every fighter will be having broken hands as the hands are brittle if you are not tapping up.

One thing that I have noticed so far is that unlike what was said before, the United States doesn't seems to be having a monopoly in track and field. They performed well in swimming and some of the other disciplines, but so far their performance in athletics seems to be disappointing.
The monopoly on track and field was taken over by Jamaica sprint starts when they started to keep their talents in their shores, earlier if you check the past Olympic sprint champions majority were from Jamaica but relocated to Canada or US because of scholarships and actually what happened was they used to have scouts to recruit the best talents in Jamaica and once that is over they are dominating that.

I won't be surprised if they finish far below their tally in 2016 (46 golds). On the other hand, the Chinese athletes seems to be on fire. Back in 2016, they won a total of 26 golds. And till now, their tally stands at 23 gold medals (with half the medal events still to go).
China is grooming players especially for Olympics from an young age from the early 2000s and it is not a big surprise that they are catching up and dominating the medal tally.

5k$: Girlfriend
Looks like you are banking on Ethereum to explode which is highly unlikely but i am not going to bet on that, even if everything goes well and the market soars higher, i am not expecting the Ethereum price to rally over $5000 let alone you having a modestly sized harem, even though i am not sure what that is. The reason for that is, the price already rallied and anyone planning to stake the coins already invested and the next investment comes from speculators and lets see how many will jump from Bitcoin to Ethereum.

And yet another good news from Germany -

I hope this will drive more positive movement in the market. Maybe, we will be seeing 45k price level very soon. So for those who feel they are being left out, maybe, it is time again to buy before the market rise again. Don't regret when you see good numbers in the market.
I believe this news came earlier and now they are implementing it right. The market is still hovering around $41k and we need a big push to see that the resistance is broken and we need some shilling from Elon for the price to rally from this situation  Cheesy. I was checking the market the entire day to see the direction we are going and we are yet to find one, may be we need more time to break the resistance, only time will tell.

Both the BCCI and SLC have refused to launch an investigation in to how Krunal got infected. So we may never know the exact reason. We can only consider several possibilities, which may or may not be true.
Even if Sri Lankan cricket board investigate and finds out about the truth, who is to take action and i do not think the BCCI is willing to take any harsh decision against the players, i am surprised that the Lankan board suspended players for two years for basically breaking the bubble and i think it is a bit harsh considering someone who is not informing about bookies approaching gets the same punishment. Give them a warning and get over with it rather than destroying their career for a mistake during a pandemic.
