They even mention CloakCoin in this article and people believe in that shit LOL

Exactly. They just want to use this opportunity to create panic. The reported site got 45k BTC in their entire operation life. What they got stolen is a fraction of it (less than 1k BTC). Too bad for some who doesn't read and just follows the flow.

Thank you Andrew for processing my withdrawal :-)
Andrew? He's not the CEO.

Of all the reasons I can think of for dumping your holdings, that's probably one of the more ludicrous. He would have been a "disaster in marketing" if he'd stayed with a name that's synonymous with being stuck in a dark corner. I've spent the last 10 years writing eCommerce systems for highly competitive businesses where they are precious as hell about their SEO. Google has changed its trawling algos beyond recognition in the last few years. Just because you've got a year's worth of 'clicks' to your credit doesn't mean you can't be dropped in an instant or - conversely - that you can't capitalise on rankings that you've earned to date. What the marketing team need to do is carefully use 301's to redirect the crawlers to the new domains. That will let the new domains capitalise on the ranking that the current sites have. https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/93633?hl=enAt any rate, search engine rankings are only 1 aspect of a very big proposition - if anything it's why the name change needs to be done now and not when the project's been driven so far up the "dark" cul-de-sac that it doesn't have an option anymore. Also, see this..... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.msg10740995#msg10740995Thanks for pointing this out, Tok. Like I said I'm agree with rebranding but decide to go with DASH ( Evan is the one who almost decided everything) is foolish IMO. None of your examples are world class brand. If you want to create the next Bitcoin, your brand name must be important enough too. And I'm not the only one, look how many people hate this new name. Evan might be success in creating a most hatred cryptocoin, LOL. I'm also selling my stash too. PM please.
uhhh you already sold your Dash why are you still here? I'm DRK supporter from the beginning, don't mistake me for a troll. But this time is really ridiculous. Just imaging that someone just killed the coin you love the most, what do you think ? I have a broken heart here, seriously.

Digital cash - Your grand mother will probably well understand what is it now, more easy friendly name than bitcoin I found Digital Cash sounds better than the stupid DASH. I prefer DigiCash or Dcash. Can't believe that you guys choose DCash. I should have listen to vertoe when he told me to dump at 0.012. Now no where to dump.

Ok I made a simple comparison. Go to google and type DASH. Then do it again and type Darkcoin. You will see what is the difference. Evan you're a genius coder but a disaster in marketing. Congrats in killing your own coin by your silly idea of rebranding it to DASH.
I'm out. Good luck everyone.
Always sorry to see someone go. Of the may be 2000 or so people that own dark/dash I am expecting close to 50% to jump. Attrition. It's my hope now that instead of being counter culture... We are providing real world solutions for everyday culture... With 100 of thousands of DASH holders. I'm agree with rebranding, but changing Darkcoin to DASH is the most stupid idea I ever think about.

Any price under 400 is very cheap, and all the long term bulls who trade in and out trying to get more coins are playing with fire.
So many amateur traders capitulated turned bearish in the late stages of this bear trend (or turned from buy-and-hodlers into in and out traders), and so many newbies opened their first ever short positions in the 200s, convinced that it would recoup their losses and help them end up with more coins.
User adoption, merchant adoption, transaction volume, venture capital investment, and so on are all significantly higher now than they were 12-18 months ago when bitcoin was at this price or higher.
Maybe this rally will not last, or the next one, but sooner or later one will, and it will leave behind everyone who learned to trade for a moderate gain and then wait for a dump. And they will howl in desperation as they beg the universe to let the bitcoin price come back down to let them back in at a price where they won't regret their actions, but it will not come.
I AM HODLING.
+1

Eduffield has gone on a full out Ether(eum) binge Sad but true. Btw this thread could be closed now. The OP just wants to have his fame and he got it now. No point to discuss anymore.

I'm very conflicted... I never liked the name Darkcoin and I think the name Dash ("Dark Cash") is brilliant... However was it worth losing one of the greatest members of the Dev team who also happened to be one of the greatest devs in the crypto world?! Hard tradeoff. In the long-term moving to 'Dash' may look great but in the short-term I think losing vertoe will hurt greatly. JL
+1 Ok let's recap it. Assuming we're a company and Evan is the CEO. The CEO made a decision and the shares price of the company drops sharply > 20%. What would the board members do? Meeting and discussing how to fire him, of course. I respect Evan as the creator of Darkcoin and he did make crucial decisions before, but now it doesn't involve only a few members anymore. Vertoe is here from the start, it must be very frustrating for him to make such decision as leaving. Evan I hope you take this as a lesson in the future. Before making such crucial decisions, at least communication between the internal members is required. Just my 2 cents. Regards, Aizen.

Blame Vertoe for selling part/all of her/his/its stash.
No, i blame the very very poor communication both internal (dev team) and external (towards community) . +1 vertoe is here from the start, it's not easy that he wants to be out. To be honest I respect him more than Evan.

LOL when OTOH sees the re-branding and pulls his walls cause he to is a DARKcoin lover
Otoh has been directly involved in the rebrand discussions. You don't need to worry about him pulling any walls. The wall was already moved/slaughtered. Nice way to kill the great coin, Evan. Congrats. https://bitcoinwisdom.com/markets/bitfinex/drkbtcThanks. Yes I saw it now. Only away for a few hours and Evan figured out a good way to kill my favorite coin.

Hi guys, I was just wondering if anybody here is mining a CPU only altcoin. I have 6 hours of downtime at work each day and then it suddenly came to me, I could be mining coins during this time at work! Sure it may not be worth much, but I really enjoy mining and I always bring my laptop with me and use a VPN at work. Ever since the asic days of Scrypt my mining days are over... I want to get back in the swing of things with CPU only coins!
I know incakoin can be stake mined , it is said 90 days 100% return just leave the wallet staking . I keep some coins , but have not last so long to 90days .it is also can be regard as a way of CPU mining . Yeah, and after 90 days your coins become worthless.

fluffy dev put whole thread to sleep OP admitted he was wrong I guess i'll find something else of interest I never, at no point admitted I was wrong. The flaw is obvious here, and anyone who tries with a block explorer and a pen and paper can reassemble the correct transaction without shuffling. I am working on a block explorer which allows deanonymization of darksend transactions ... it is trivial actually, an let it work only in 80% of all cases. Trivial? Yes Mr Genius. We're still waiting for your free NXT and your BTC private key cracker, which you claimed trivial too.

The most funny part is that he claimed to bet 500 BTC for it. It's pure gold classic. Speechless.
