1122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Slimcoin : Proof of Burn NEW BLOCK GEN, Mineable by low power computer! on: June 23, 2014, 12:43:51 PM
I got a lot of tiny immature blocks, which should be in newmint category of getinfo but it shows 0 SLM. And the sum of balance + newmint + stake is not equal the total number of listaccounts. (Because newmint should show some SLM but now it's always 0).
Someone experiences the same ?
1123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TAC] TalkCoin | First Anonymous Chat | First NIST5 | Vote/No Premine on: June 23, 2014, 12:18:06 PM
Someone is loading up on some very cheap TAC...

but there is no sell volume, just 1 BTC take the price up to 9k.  That's how we know the dumper has to be under 15 years old because just on technicals no one would sell like this let alone an early stage innovation / app coin like this.  I am guessing he has run out now thankfully as its picking up  Grin

No Sir. It's not simple like that. I have reanalysis all dumps last week for a few times and noticed something:
- The dump happens mostly when TAC's in the lower range ( under 8k sat).
- There are always at least 2-3 BTC worths of TAC dump at once, that means 1/3 to 1/2 total daily supply of TAC.
That means it is not simple like a big farm dumps daily TAC for paying his bill, because we still don't see any whale with over 30% of nethash in any pool.

My conclusion: some big whale / trader is trying to play with the TAC market for days to push TAC's price down. Reason ? You know it maybe better than me.
Right  now I'm even happier if he could dump TAC's price much lower, then the diff will be lower as consequence.
1124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TAC] TalkCoin | First Anonymous Chat | First NIST5 | Vote/No Premine on: June 23, 2014, 11:44:23 AM
i don't think he care, presumably a giant farm that need to pay the bill

Looks like you're right. He dumps without any reason. Every buy order was filled by him. I should set a lower buy order next time.

Remember guys we are on the press now without any funds for advertising.

1126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Slimcoin : Proof of Burn NEW BLOCK GEN, Mineable by low power computer! on: June 23, 2014, 09:33:10 AM
my new coins dont add up to balance, but accumulate at "stake". why???

I notice another bug, the total balance increase (listaccounts command) but the sum of stake coins and getbalance does't equal the total balance. This never happens with previous version.
1127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Slimcoin : Proof of Burn NEW BLOCK GEN, Mineable by low power computer! on: June 22, 2014, 09:54:14 PM
Weird, pool is not getting any blocks, something is wroing.. i'm stoping my hash...........

Found block 17550 at 2014-6-22 21:22:15 UTC primer-. I think it's just extreme bad luck.

wow the Diff is rly high or? highest ever?

Yeah this coin got a lot of potential. I have never seen a coin like this, normally people left the coin and let's it die peacefully. But everyone tried hard to revive Slim. And now every miners come back to mine it despite of high risk for no return at all (With this diff 1 SLM should at least 0.0005 BTC worth, if not you should go mine Cryptonote coin because it's much more profitable).

Current profit
100MH
Dif @ 240 BR 21.291

Profit .0184/day / .5529/month

Sure had a spike where it "was profitable".... key is was... so sad.... this coin is good.

Feel free to leave if it's too hard for you. I remember hearing from you the same complain 2 weeks ago. Why don't you leave already, please?

Btw, concerning the price, we've gone through a pump to a whoopy 14200 sat per TAC today, 10% more than I expected. After a pump is always a price correct, which I think we are in now. And we're doing  fine too, price stays around 9k sat range. I expect TAC will stay at this level for a while and if the new features in the new wallet at the end of June works well, we could expect another healthy growth again.
Keep it up, guys.
1133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TAC] TalkCoin | First Anonymous Chat | First NIST5 | Vote/No Premine on: June 20, 2014, 08:51:17 AM
diff over 300  Shocked
Damn this grown is too fast. Beware for a pump, people.
1134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TAC] TalkCoin | First Anonymous Chat | First NIST5 | Vote/No Premine on: June 20, 2014, 12:16:41 AM
How do I sync my wallet it doesn't sync can anyone help me we are stuck at 5 weeks. I am not very techy. I have 1.5k stuck in there. Grin

Delete everything in your APPDATA/Talkcoin folder EXCEPT the wallet.dat file. Do a backup from this file to another folder.
Download the wallet from
http://talkcoin.org/talkcoin-qt.zip
It should be running.

1135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] DarkCoin | First Anonymous Coin | First X11 | First DGW | ** HARD FORK JUNE 20TH ** on: June 19, 2014, 08:43:04 PM
What's with the shitty CLOAK stealing all of DRK's thunder? They literally cloned the shit and reskinned the wallet and are promising "full decentralization", of course ETA is unknown.

Can someone confirm this is the future of crypto? A bunch of sad clones? Are we fucked?

Pumpers just don't care. They need a new target to dump for making profit. It's really hard and required a lot of money to pump & dump DRK now. Check twitter of such pumpers groups. They're promoting shitcoins every day. Who lost money? Of course naive users. Who wins? The pumpers. It is clearly as daylight but a lot of people are just blind before greed.
1136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TAC] TalkCoin | First Anonymous Chat | First NIST5 | Vote/No Premine on: June 19, 2014, 08:34:46 PM
to those thinking about bull rushing TAC... i'd advise you to wait for

1) for the cloak pump to settle
2) wait for me to accumulate more
3) weekend is approaching

Totally agreed. Too fast growth in short period of time without any new features is dangerous, not a healthy growth.
Btw, I disagreed with the 2.  Grin

dev please fork, your coin is too good to be destroyed by one greed idiot.

I agree. Has anyone considered if they would be willing to accept a closed-source fork? I think dev has the capability to provide the software necessary to continue.

What do people think?

From a legal standpoint, the MIT license under which ByteCoin was originally published is pretty permissive.

I would not recommend it. No one would trust a closed source cryptocurrency.

I offered to publish an (open source) nVidia GPU miner provided some stratum support is available. What else do you want?

They still even have a proper binary for Mac and Linux after 1 month launch, Christian. Why do you bother?
It seems like Prof. Andersen having much interests in this coin too, but he's too busy for other things. Sorry but I just see a lot of flaws in this coin. Amazing that it got pump so hard.

Linux compiles normally.

Boolberry was the first CryptoNote coin to even support Mac.

The only person asking for compiling help recently was using Ubuntu 12.04. I provided him with instructions.

Do you need help?

No thanks. I appreciate that but I can compile myself. But for some users could be a problem then if you don't provide a linux binary for them. And then why no new binary version for Mac? Should I compile one and send you dga's version ?
Btw I don't know which one has it first but QCN has even a simple GUI wallet for Mac.
