I'm still mining Talkcoin not because profitability, but because NIST5, cold GPUs, low consumption, and support the coin and this community that I really like.

I've been mining TAC with 6 R9 290xs for over 6 weeks! My electricity bill dropped from $600 USD mining scrypt coins to about $200 USD mining NIST5.

Forget going back to scrypt! TAC is awesome, even if payout is low now...it will adjust in a few days!

Great coin dev.

Ouch. You're still mining scrypt nowadays? Even with such high electricity price? Poor boy.  Sad

30Ghs nethash Sad. No longer profitable but I addicted to TAC and don't want to mine other coin Sad

I have a bad news: I fixed X11 for 14.6 amd drivers.... (R9 290x speed 5.5MHash/s)  Grin
(insomnia... sometimes it is useful)

Is it available for download yet?
no, not yet (later today)

how much one 280x? 4mh/s? was at 3.350 before
don't know, I have only a 290x (in term of speed, it is a bit slower than my 780ti which run at 5.8MHash/s)

Damn someone should pay his dude for not releasing his miner again Cheesy

no worry nvidia still have an advantage due to low consumption, you can't optimized that via miner  Cheesy

Nope, you're wrong. If every AMD user updates his miner then the total hashrate increases, diff increases. We were left with the same hash, so lesser coins while AMD user has the same number of coins. Clearly disadvantage for nVidia.

fuck... didn't expect this price increase so fast... I had since 2 weeks a small sell order of 2500tac at 8500sat I had forgotten to remove  Angry

06/19/2014 06:06:51 PM
BUY
0.00009990   32800.00000000   3.27672000

You see that djm34 ??  Grin

I told you 2 weeks ago. Too bad you forget about me.

EDIT: Wow we crossed the 10k sat mark without 30Ghs nethash.

Ticket at MRR created. I think it will boost up our coin greatly. Buy more mates.

TAC volume has passed XMR. Image the price and total hashrate if we reach 100BTC volume at bittrex.  Grin

Is everything in order?

From security perspective: Never ever run a service as root  Grin

Thanks for the feedback...

Did you check the message of Masternode in debug.log ?
If it works you could turn off the cold wallet which contains your fund. Disconnect this with internet and you should be fine.

Balance 1000.001 ?? LOL
Check your IP at http://drk.poolhash.org/darksend.html. If it shows active, then it should be fine, dude Wink

Whats the advantage of having more in each node?

type ./darkcoind masternode list | grep YOURIP
if it shows YOURIP:9999, 1 then it should be fine.

I don't know Evan has already implemented the multi ticket for masternodes, otherwise it doesnt have any effect.

Is it your rig? Cool  Cool I will consider to rent it. Thanks.

OK who's the idiot who keeps dumping TAC when it gets near 9k.  20,000 TAC???

Tip: if you have that kind of TAC already, you probably wanna hold on to it.   Throwing them around like that on day 3 of being on CoinMarketCap is really dumb.

It is not 20k TAC, In total 68k TAC was dump at 8500 sat range. Yeah it may sound stupid for us but for someone, it is still a lot of profit if he's mining two, three weeks ago. Nothing change at the top 10 wallets so I bet that one of them even accumulate more TACs.
Think it as a price correction like atleticofa said. Thanks to him the diff is not 170 anymore and we still have TAC at 8k sat range. I think it's pretty nice and we should thank him somehow.
1151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TAC] TalkCoin | First Anonymous Chat | First NIST5 | Vote/No Premine on: June 19, 2014, 11:28:43 AM
I'm thinking in Talkcoin as the first APPCOIN. I think it could be the next trend after anoncoins. Coins integrating apps in his wallet and blockchain.

Could you for example imagine a chatroulette p2p anonymous and encrypted working inside a wallet with possibility to pay with the coin?

Dev said one day about integrate video on the wallet, so it could be possible. What about a chatroulette in the wallet? Maybe then talkcoin will become the place for teens.. wankers... So I don't know if it's a good idea. But however, innovation is always a great idea.

Yeah possibility is limitless for TAC. It has demonstrated something with huge potential for crypto market in general. I have thought a lot of business plans for TAC, but we need at least a bigger dev team. Otherwise it will take 5 years for implement all of those.  Grin

Btw, someone just dumped 5BTC worth of TAC on bittrex and in a few minutes the market moves back. LOL. Good work. Keep dumping the price lower, thanks.
1152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TAC] TalkCoin | First Anonymous Chat | First NIST5 | Vote/No Premine on: June 19, 2014, 10:39:21 AM
We have a bullish market today

Actually we are in the bull trend for 2 weeks already. But I agree that today it's a little extreme. The order book at bittrex looks clearly a very bullish trend. Only 2.6 BTC to 10k sat (10% increase) and with the same amount we could only go back to 8600 sat (4% decrease).
Someone tries to keep TAC down but it is very difficult now for him. I guess he's a junior whale. Btw the price in poloniex is actually higher than in bittrex, so could be that someone wants to do some arbitrage trades.
1153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SFR] SaffronCoin First Multi Algo with X11 and Blake *Bittrex* on: June 19, 2014, 10:11:10 AM
What about external Blake256 miner, so mining to be possible outside the wallet? Is there any chance or possibility to be released such thing in near future at all?
I even don't insist on gpu-miner Cheesy , cpu-miner would do as well because if such miner is available the posbility of pool-mining is much better than the current solo-wallet-mining.

So let me get this straight.

There are people instamining on Blake and nobody gives a shit?

I make 30 coins per day with 1kwh of power and I should just resign and keep on doing it while these assholes mine for free?

Yeah I'm pretty angry too but someone has the skill to modify blake miner, so of course he deserves to instamine this for a while. Stop mining this if you think it is unprofitable and switch to others algos. I stop mine 2 days ago when I saw someone with the blake miner.

Yeah I saw atleticofa mining TAC like mad from the start and never stop even the block reward was so low. Top supporter and he should be in top 10 now.  Grin

9000 s ,  Shocked  I am shocked by TAC....

sadly the diff is too high, because amd is good here not like jackpot...so the profit would remain the same no matter how much the price will rise

Haha if you mine and dump immediately, of course no coin could keep up with your greed, even BTC or LTC.
We have crossed 28Ghs mark people. It's rising sooner than I expected, to be honest I don't like that much, but I can't prevent it anymore. If we cross the 30Ghs mark today, you will see the 10k sat price and if you want, check everything I said two weeks ago.  Grin

if that the case it is better to mine other coins(more profitable) and buy talk, you make more

You think so? I have thought like this with DRK and tried to do that. But in the end I got lesser than I expected. Maybe I'm too stupid to understand why.  Grin
Feel free to leave TAC, buddy.  Wink We will miss you.  Grin

it's not about leaving, lol, i can indirectly mine talk at great advantage if i mine a more profitable coin(jackpot for example) and then buy talk

The problem with this mind set is the moment you got for your fresh BTC from dumped coins to buy TAC, the price is already higher. That happens to me with DRK, so I just mine TAC. To be honest there are others 2 reasons for it. I'm too lazy to switch and NIST5 algo runs very nice for my cards, so I won't bother to switch again.

Like right now, taking the highest buy price @ 6899... with block reward @ little over 21 with dif 144....100 MH wont even get you .02 BTC a day. Who here can mine this that pays for power @ 11 dollars a day? Okay maybe you can but then your only pulling a few bucks of profit, and that is not taking into account hardware cost for rate of return. Its pure sh(t.

The strong steady growers over time are never profitable to instamine...  If you wait a month or two however....

yup, difference between smart miners vs. impatient quick profit miners.

I'm pretty sick of trying to explain short term miners how the hashrate is relate to the price more than the block reward. I heard this complain from the same guy 2 weeks ago but now I wonder why he's still mining and still complaining the same reason? If somebody's screaming about mining TAC won't be profitable for them anymore, they are free to leave. That won't help us much but we will appreciate for 10% hashrate drop.  Wink

If you want to make banks with crypto, try to learn how to read charts and patterns. We are in the same situation of two weeks ago, but now we're in 6k 7k sat range instead of 3k sat range ? How much do you still want? That's 200% over two weeks. I call this healthy growth. Everything faster is obviously a pump&dump pattern. You have seen a crash before? You know how many big coins have failed and struggled to recover after a crash ?
1159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TAC] TalkCoin | First Anonymous Chat | First NIST5 | Vote/No Premine on: June 18, 2014, 10:40:53 PM

ANNOUNCEMENT

We decided to improve the voting system so that the maximum change in block reward will be +/-10% after each vote.

This means that the block reward can only differ by 10% twice per week, depending on votes cast from the wallet.

The goal of voting is to be democratic and help the market decide the best supply and cost structure for Talkcoin.

Voting lets the market balance demand between miners, investors and people using TAC to communicate.

This lets supply adapt to changes in the market and grow Talkcoin as a currency people can invest in and use for the long term.

The +/-10% change just smooths out this process and will be included in the next release at the end of June.

Is this 'part' of the release package at the end of June?

Yep. Big release at the end of June.
That's why dev is too busy.
Btw we have crossed 21Ghs nethash mark. If tomorrow the nethash goes to 30Ghs, you will see what happens with TAC's price.
