Forget the XMR mania. Try to see QCN thread. The dev works even harder than the whole XMR team and QCN always has the newest features from which XMR want to copy back like GUI wallet.
Remember, the main selling point of XMR is the first Cryptonote which obviously wrong. XMR is not the original Cryptonote coin, Bytecoin is. IMHO, XMR offers nothing better than QCN. The only reason is XMR backed by a lot of big players in crypto.
I respectfully disagree AizenSou, for way too many reasons to begin listing here, and as I really don't want to have my posts taking part in any sort of 'coin wars'. If you want further details to why I support XMR, say so, and I'll be happy to explain my motivations. Otherwise I'm keeping the details to myself as I'm not trying to promote coin A or B in this particular thread (for that we already have plenty of speculation threads). ~ Myagui Sorry my bad. By the time i got back from work i was so tired i just got some. Obviously didn't pay full wack for them, i did save some. But i didnt pay as low as you suggested because i never would have got any xD
Ah craps...  I got some more XMR at 0.0043 overnight (at Bittrex), so, you could have certainly bought some at the range I mentioned. You could even buy some now at that price on Polo. No trading while sleepy/tired, you'll be missing a key trading quality: patience... On the positive side: I'm confident you'll see gains from that purchase, if not any obscene figures. With XMR, I'm betting things will evolve slow and steady, so I'd expect just small spikes and dips along the way. Anyways, I'm just pulling guesses out of my ass now. I have the same problem with Linux, but not every H81 BTC Pro board. ccminer crashed when using 6 cards and only with a few algos, e.g. JPC,NIST5.
X11 works without problem. So I found out that not every H81 BTC Pro Board has the same build quality. The reboot indicates that something wrong with the power connects to the board.
I know it's really stupid but I tried a lot of combination last months to find the problem. (I have 6 H81 BTC Pro boards).
I'm thinking about buying a H81 BTC Pro and hopefully I don't run into any issues. Did you also give power to BOTH of the molex connectors on the motherboard? I know some people say "you don't need to if you're supplying power to the risers!" but it's always good to plug it in and test in case you haven't. I run a H81 BTC Pro with 6 EVGA 750Ti's (without the 6-pin PCI-E power), I have 5 cards on 16x-1x powered risers, and the 1 card in the x16 slot on a 16x-16x unpowered riser. Rig has been running flawelessly for nearly 4 months now!
Of course I need to plug two molex connectors to the board otherwise the board autorestarts itself if you run ccminer/cudaminer for every algo. I have 6 of this board and only two of them still giving me trouble. The worst algo is JPC in my experience. I use for all card USB power riser from same brand, but I notice from those Chinese quality you can't expect much. I still have found out the reason for these 2 trouble boards, but from my test I can conclude that ccminer/cudaminer works fine. |

 ANNOUNCEMENTWe decided to improve the voting system so that the maximum change in block reward will be +/-10% after each vote. This means that the block reward can only differ by 10% twice per week, depending on votes cast from the wallet. The goal of voting is to be democratic and help the market decide the best supply and cost structure for Talkcoin. Voting lets the market balance demand between miners, investors and people using TAC to communicate. This lets supply adapt to changes in the market and grow Talkcoin as a currency people can invest in and use for the long term. The +/-10% change just smooths out this process and will be included in the next release at the end of June. Good news. Since you are online could you change the OP for some new infos like 2 block explorers, coinmarketcap and cpu-miner+ new miner from djm34. That would be better for new comers. Thanks. |

Still can't connect more than 4 cards on my H81 BTC Pro Board. Five or six cards trips a reboot right after i start ccminer.  rolling back nvidia drivers, maybe that will sort it out. Instamine master djm34. Tell us what're you mining now.  I am mining jpc at the moment, some silly dude killed the profitability on talkcoin (and if it really goes to low reward with the next vote... ) I didn't see anything really interesting lately, the latest crypotonote, I didn't even get a block at low diff... Yeah if you told me beforehand I could even donate you 5000 TACs for not releasing it, only for you and me then. You mean the MonetaVerde ? Clone from Fantom ? |

Any plan to have a day a miner with real Failover support for cudaminer & ccminer ?? Cudamanager don't switch back to pool. Can't set rig for rent or use pool like nicehash without the failover Christian is busy with other more important stuffs. There was a quick&dirty hack with services and only avail for Windows. You can search it in this thread. If you don't like it then write it yourself. It's not difficult btw, it is just too boring that no one cares to write it. |

Hi, we are working on a big release for end of June. We are just finalizing the details so I will announce later. Waiting  How many TAC for block reward would you vote, atleticofa?  I can't even believe that Ignition75 opts to vote 1 TAC.  I will vote for 15, it's the block reward that I want. Should I create 100 wallets and vote for the reward I want? It costs me a few hours and 1000 TACs maybe but it's what I call voting manipulation. Somehow we only have around 100 votes everytime. Somehow I know that TAC is not in the top profitable anymore but I can't stop myself mining TACs. Am I addicted to TAC? |

Speed? Haha there are a lot of coins with almost same speed. Have you tried UTC for example? You know why the stats of all JPC coins are so bad? Yeah its because of JPC block time. Too fast block time is like a double-edge sword. It clusters the block chain. Could you image the block chain size of JPC after five years, the same time span like BTC? In general many experts believe that 60s to 120s block time would be the most efficient. ...almost the same is not the same ;O) a lot coins are fast... DRK is also not too bad... but JPC seems to top everything. you talk about block chain size... aehm... think about xmr or qcn. xmr use 1GB right now. will be funny in 6 months  Well I didn't talk about cryptonote coins. They have a lot of others problems to deal with before dealing with the block chain size. I talk about altcoins, bitcoin-fork in general. cryptonote coins use different technology, they just copy the idea of bitcoin. |

1) Coblee announcing affinity for Scrypt ASICs. It absolutely blew my mind when it happened and I suddenly realized that it was all an "egalitarian" scam. That "silver" is brainwashing and stupid subservience. How do people stand this?
2) The fucking arrogance of Litecointalk. Everyone behaving as if they are born with a silver spoon up their asses. Their heavy headedness could put bitcoin holders to shame.
+ motherfkn' 10000+1. I have experience the same with some whale LTC holder. Let's them keep their dream forever. I don't care about LTC anymore, although I still hold some of it. |

I have released an optimised version of nist5 for sgminer (and amd). It is based on x11mod from lasybear It works best on 14.6 amd drivers. It was tested so far on my R9-290x and allows to almost double the hashrate. On the standard talkcoin kernel, I was getting around 8.5MHash/s (on 14.6 drivers) With this kernel I get 15.8MHash/s (average) at 1050MHash/s To use it: "sgminer.exe --kernel nist5 --no-submit-stale -o stratum+tcp://erebor.dwarfpool.com:3350 -u Your_Tac_Address -p1 -I 19" I highly recommend to keep an eye on the temperature as the card can run hot (80°C) and over/underclock according to your liking.
