--[ANN]--

The first payment for the XMAS BONUS on http://burst.ga will happen today. I will send 25k 2-3 times during the day, and/or 10k 7-8 times. No one knows, it's the mystery elf. Cheesy

edit: 15k just sent. Happy holidays!

If you have problems with RAM performance use Runaurufu Burst Miner, change pool and directories in configuration.xml to fit your needs - tool has been checked by forum members and is clean - using it myself long time already.
NO, it hasn't been vetted!!!

https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/19a7ccd3db1e95d6721912f0eebe5567c847391b78a05fa4a1978f69408369fb/analysis/1418895099/ now go and troll yourself FakeAccount  Cool

After seeing this miner posted about 8 times, I finally decided to try it, and so far I can say it's pretty damn nice. The only thing I haven't tested long enough to see how the payouts are comparatively, but the usage of system resources is WAY better. Thanks Runarufu. Pilotseye.

My friend,

We disagree here Wink He has been asked very simple questions each of the eight times he posted it here, and not once has he answered them. He provides a damn virustotal link and think that's fine in crypto.

That's just not good enough.

As I said, this might be a great program, but why can he not just answer the really easy questions, I keep asking myself.

Thanks for taking the risk and running it though Smiley

Yea, all good man, I'll let you know if my 2 million burst disappear. haha.

But no, in actuality, the main reason I tried this is because I trust Pilotseye, he's a friend of mine. I don't think he would give out a link, albeit multiple times, if the link was a virus. I just don't see him doing that. Plus, I got tired of everyone blasting him when I believe he was literally just trying to help people with performance issues.

So, I hope that me, being the member I am, jumping on this, using it, and telling people what I find, would help to alleviate this problem we seem to be having.

Thanks!

Interested in the Antec 900 PSU, and about 10 Network cables as long as possible. Let's work a deal?

Edit, oh, and one of the switches, either 16 or 24 is fine. Let's work something including shipping to Reno, NV 89523

These are so awesome. I need to figure out the model number on the psu I have, but I think it's one that would use one of these, I would like one with all PCI-E cables, as soon as I figure out what model psu I have.
2007  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New version 1.1.5 on: December 16, 2014, 03:24:20 PM
Hi,

I've got 10 x HDDS plotted/plotting and I have 10 x mining windows open, one for each hard drive.  Can anyone give me an example of how to have one window mine all 10 hard drives?  I know the answer is probably in here already but searching 800+ pages doesn't seem much fun.  Drives are E: to N:

I really need to do this because some of the windows keep having a java crash so they stop mining and I have to restart them.  I can create a script to reset automatically but would rather have a script that kept an eye on one DOS window instead of ten.

Cheers in advance!

You should check out my Windows Mining Guide...

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Bc1LIG0vOYYW6FxgBHhQGjKqm0aWoSClkqaNJx17wWk/edit?usp=sharing

It shows you how to use Blago's miner. Which will do what you're asking. Blago section is at the bottom.

-[ANNouncement]-

I am going to be restructuring the pool's fee setup, with which to base another asset, and create a developer fund for not only my pool, but other burst projects. The new structure will make the pool's fee a total of 1.8 % instead of 1.2 %, and the extra will be devoted to a developer fund. Not only that, we will soon be getting rid of our very first asset 'HardInvest' and replacing it with an overall profit-sharing investment asset into our company 'ByteEnterprises'.

Also, if anyone has any ideas as to what else to use the dev fund we're developing on, shoot the ideas, and they will be taken into consideration. I would like everyone to be able to have a fair say in what happens with the BURST that they helped earn. Hopefully we can spur more great development, and help BURST to become well-known and powerful!

Also, just so that everyone knows... We are in development with our ENTIRELY NEW POOL CODE, that will give BURST miners more choices in pools, with different back-ends! My current development team is working hard to get the pool code finished, and it's already up and running in a test scenario, taking submissions from the live pool and playing around with them. It shouldn't be much longer at all before we're ready to go beta, then go live. We will be doing this in a very controlled and slow fashion, to avoid scenarios like Uray's SG beta that had issues right off the bat (no offense meant here, btw. I just want to try to avoid that scenario.)

--Christmas BONUS!--

Due to the holiday season, and the fact that I'm in a good mood, I've decided to do random injections of BURST into the pool wallet! Basically this is close to what Koko's pool does during his BONUS giveaway, however mine is just because it's Christmas time! This giveaway will be random, and random. Meaning you never know when  nor how much will be given (out of my own pocket Wink merry xmas!) at any time. So just mine on the pool between now and Christmas, and you never know what could happen! Thank you and Happy Holidays!

Great with the dev-fund, we really need those kind of initiatives when the coin isn't pre-mined nor an iPO Smiley

Gonna have a go with some of my power at your pool now!

Glad to have you bro! Smiley

You can always use the pool's wallet. I just haven't spruced up the interface... it works regardless...

I am interested in the 4TB drives, let me know your prices. Thanks!

Who is willing to write a press release for us regarding Automated Transactions/Smart Contracts?  Happy to discuss them with you, vbcs would definitely a good person to talk to, probably better than me.

I can maybe find time but I'm running around trying to get other stuff done and would prefer to spend my time testing and debugging ATs if someone else can do the writing.

Some specifications and more data on ATs here for anyone who is interested: http://ciyam.org/at/at.html

Hopefully you aren't in it just for the money but I'll throw in a 20k Burst bounty for the article.. which will be worth a lot once we publish this article. Smiley

I think Einsteium or whatever his name is.. said he'd be happy to help make sure we get stuff published.

I could possibly do something like this tomorrow, but I would need to do a bit more research on ATs. Anyone with more information and explanation on exactly how it works, feel free to PM me and I'll take a look, then I can compile and write and article.

I write very well, and type about 96 WPM, so I could be a nice person for this project.

I would also not take the bounty from you. Wink

Excellent!  Thanks crowetic, I will PM with the information I know and probably you and vbcs should talk.. I'll send along his contact info as well.

Thanks!!

Thanks crowetic for offering your time and efforts  Smiley Hope you take this the right way, but perhaps it'd be a better idea to ask vbcs first. Reason being, we need your Win mining guide completed asp...  Wink mczarnek , could you ask vbcs first, saying he at least will get 50K for it?

Anyone who would like to help get the bounty higher, please donate too. The press release could very well put a new floor at 200sats.

crow, I just woke up but will be around if you are. Are you around? I want to explain a few things and stuff.

Taking about mining guides, is it anyone here who could update TetraHect0rCannabinol's linux guide to 2.0 to match crow's Win guide...? I'm exclusively using Win now, as the programs for it finally are stable now, so much better candidates must exist. Would be great if the re-writer do it for free for him caring for Burst, otherwise we'd collect a bounty for the work. The new new guilde should focus on all tools available now and reference Java stuff less. It also great if it's well formatted and pedagogical (see crow's draft for Win at https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Bc1LIG0vOYYW6FxgBHhQGjKqm0aWoSClkqaNJx17wWk/edit)

PM me or email me at burst@countermail.com if you are interesting doing the job!

For sure, I definitely understand where you're coming from. I just offered as I speak well, and if I know about something I could easily re-write an explanation in a way that would be easily understandable to the masses, that being said,  I'm not a developer, and some of the more specific developer type stuff may be a bit over my head.

So if vbcs would like to write it, I'm 100% sure that would be the most detailed. Then I could possibly take what he writes, and re-write it in layman as much as possible?

I was mostly offering because I would do it for free, and I can write so that laymen can understand, and my writing is fairly good.

But yea, I would for sure like to finish up my guide, and even make new changes for the new GPU plotter and a few other things. So let me know if you need my assistance, hell, I'll even throw another 25k into the bounty for this article. Make it worth it.

peace.

it is not possible !!!!

Script author here. It counts only unique miners who found a block past day. In layman terms, miners which have significant impact on pool performance (more of fast miners for same amount of pool hashrate = more diversity)
how many blocks are currently used to calculate the diff?
i know it has been announced several hundred pages earlier but the number of blocks in this calc has been increased due to massive generation time variances in the early days.
as i understand the network size estimation it is absolutely based on the diff.
i could setup my own calc but just want to ask if you could adjust your scripts to look at the last 360 blocks instead of last 24h.
do you extract your own data from the blockchain or is it from the blockexplorer?

Directly from blockchain querying the client api. The script uses 360 blocks when it states 1 day, it does not care about timestamps (ie its a 1day as far as blockchain is concerned, not necessarily real time).

Thank you for the explanation kat.

what happend with burst eu pool?

You mean uray's pool? It's apparently been down since block 41203 I think. Now I can't get it to load in my browser at all, just that green pinwheel thing going round and round.

I'm switching over to burst.ga until it's back online.

should consider http://cryptomining.farm/ big bonus at 475 miner...389 right now
[---]

How will the bonus be payed out? Anyone knows?

I think @475 miners he will transfer it to the pool balance

1.1 million

If the 1.1 is just dumped into the pool balance, it will be unfair payout to miners, the larger miners, and the ones hitting lower shares during the dump, will get majority of the coins. I know because I tried this on a smaller level with my pool (that currently runs the same code as koko's. But not for long!)

your right

but koko said that he will spread the bonus in 2 days

Right, but either way you do it, it's still going to be unfair bias toward larger miners. But, then again, I guess how else are you going to do the little bonus if not this way? There are other things that come to mind, but would require a ton more work. lol
