If you don't want to do ID verification, go localbitcoins. If you are in US, go coinbase. Otherwise, go bitstamp.

Don't listen to the people who are suggesting paypal it would be a bad mistake and you could lose everything by getting scammed.
^This needs fixing Or more generally, don't trade bitcoin for something with chargeback ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

It seems the trade doesn't go through after all. I am sure SaltySpitoon will be happy to see this old thread ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

Didn't want to create a new thread, so I'll ask here. Is there any way to sell bitcoins anonymously? For webmoney, vouchers or something? I don't think my bank would appreciate any trades related to cryptocurrency.
Maybe you can try localbitcoins to find a cash trade somewhere near you. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) here in currency exchange some trust members also giving these options for selling and buying of btc True. Just don't forget to use escrow. ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

Yeah i honestly didn't think it sounded good either i'm glad I waited and asked.
why would someone want to buy a account? Is it safe? How does it work?
If you're referring to this guy: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=433869.0 then I think he wanted them to participate in sig deals. and that sig deals is over now. ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)

Still buying.
I guess you should now stop buying accounts, as that sig campaign is over ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) Ha. they can still be used for other deals. Accounts with 50+ activity are still valuable for PD etc. All accounts (no activity requirement) can be used for bit777 sig ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)

Coinbase acts more of a broker - to buy / sell bitcoins.
Though it is not suggested, many people are still using exchange as their wallets, and you can make an instant off-chain transaction to another user on the same exchange.

Well they are very slow and Keyur had this** to say in an interview but yet no phone number is available to contact them and they are not responding to my tickets. ** However, users aren’t the same as exchanges. Mithawala said an exchange has to be transparent, visible and credible: it has to be backed by people you can name and phone numbers you can call. I believe my funds will be 'unlocked' but the delay is plain wrong at this point. This is a quote from an interview found here: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2011/07/10/camp_bx_goes_live/Did you try 510-545-3987 http://www.manta.com/c/mx3x6lq/bulbul-investments-llcI called it 2 days ago and no answer or voicemail. I also tried emailing support@campbx.com and it bounced. I submitted a support ticket 2 days ago and nothing yet. I've been converting my BTC to $s there since May and have had no problems for 16 withdrawals, until now. In the last 9 days I've made two ACH withdrawals to the same account as always and nothing. My credit union researched it from their side and called that phone # and learned nothing. In short, this is red flags all over. Agree with mrhelpful. Good luck to all those affected.

I am testing out some scenarios with micro payments...
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=219504.00.8.2 Release notes Payments (transaction outputs) of 0.543 times the minimum relay fee (0.00005430 BTC) are now considered 'non-standard', because storing them costs the network more than they are worth and spending them will usually cost their owner more in transaction fees than they are worth.
Such micro-payment is "not welcome" since bitcoin-qt 0.8.2, and I guess no merchant would be selling something for 0.00005430 BTC (less than $0.05).

Thanks very much for the link. Well, it is legal to mine, own or spend bitcoin for goods and service. I am shocked to see your comment "It's a felony" at first, but it seems it is not as bad as I thought. ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)

Sorry, can't understand Spanish at all. By using google translate, it seems the poll is about to ban the user nexusakachus, right? We ask the moderators to ban nexusakachus from using the forum to advertise his products/scams. A vast majority voted to have him banned. It is not true that he has no money. He was setting up a webpage (bitpay) and claimed to have spend 17.000€ on hardware. It is not impossible to recover your money. Just team up together and hire a professional service. Good luck. I see. Thank you for your clarification.

I couldn't find your tx on blockchain.info. If you can see the tx in your bitcoin-qt wallet, you can do the following to push the tx again. 1. Open bitcoin-qt, click Help -> Debug Window -> Console 2. Enter getrawtransaction 9710f39477cb2addfb04032c6e8c2d7cc33d1ab04211a3623bba44bc748a9104 3. Copy the long string of numbers and letters 4. Paste the string on https://blockchain.info/pushtx
|
|
|
That is what I was thinking, but how to stop the tx of this? Do I have to go through the rigamarole of downloading my blockchain.info wallet into QT, deleting the transactions, then re-uploading it?
I am not sure if blockchain.info rebroadcasts unconfirmed tx. If it doesn't, you can just wait for a day or so, and everything will be back to normal. You only need to wait at this moment. And no worries, your bitcoin is safe.

An indirect method is to use Virwox. They don't allow direct BTC-USD trades, but you can deposit BTC and trade for Linden Dollars. Then turn around and trade Linden for USD and withdraw to your Paypal account. They also let you deposit up to a certain amount through Paypal which means you can buy small amounts of BTC indirectly with Paypal. https://www.virwox.com/I haven't used virwox before, as the fee there is pretty bad. https://www.virwox.com/help.php#_FeesYour right the fees are terrible. But its a reliable service and its helped me out a few times when I needed to buy BTC with paypal. No worries about chargebacks. I see. Thanks for your clarification. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Asked about government financial infrastructures around the world and how Bitcoin will fit in with these systems or redefine them, Carfi said, "Certain countries, such as Thailand and Iceland, historically have been hostile toward Bitcoin. BitLegal is tracking Bitcoin's status in many countries around the globe." Iceland? What happened in Iceland? It's a felony wow, I didn't read anything about it. Could anyone share the link with me?

Free Bitcoin Educational Site: In just under a day I was able to earn 5,500 Satochi's, while learning a little about Bitcoins each hour.
lol. It may be good for newbies to learn more about bitcoin, but it is definitely not good for getting bitcoin. ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)

1) buying, mining and selling stuff.
2) many things could happen. price could be zero tomorrow.
Not true - btc has too much support and too much money invested to go to 0 in 1 day, also if a crash happened there allways will be people willing to invest at complete lows like 50$ so worst case scenario bitcoin might lose 90% of its current value within few weeks. Absolutely true. Its a small risk but risk nonetheless. We could find out NSA invented bitcoin. There could be major bug found in bitcoin protocol. Someone could launch a successful 51% attack. Many other possible "gotchas", all small risk, but all could kill bitcoin in a day. well, maybe not to complete 0 in a day. But it could crash any day, and be killed...
