Quote
“When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross,” goes an oft-quoted line of uncertain origin.

On Monday evening, Donald Trump, with four US flags behind him, threatened to send in the military against the American people, then crossed the road to pose for a photo outside a historic church while clutching an upside-down Bible.

He was only able to get there after heavily armed police and horse-mounted national guardsmen fired teargas and rubber bullets to chase away peaceful protesters and journalists.

GL to all the Americans amongst us.

the bible was right side up but it looked like he had to check. very cringe worthy all around.

[...] I’ll leave a good amount of fiat on an exchange & try to buy back as many as possible at discounted rates.

I need to take life changing money out this time though. No more working for us Wink

I am with you on this one LFC.
I have already moved 10% of my precious to an exchange and setup staggered sell orders ranging from £45000 to £60000.
I know it's way too early but we know how bitcoin goes when she starts hauling ass.

while leaving fiat or corn on an exchange isnt recommended (the "not your keys" bit) if you can afford to lose it it is nice to have a bit parked on an exchange. if bitcoin gets a wild hair and goes on a tear moving btc to sell could be slow, and moving fiat can takes days. why miss the fun.

You better shut up.. otherwise your buddy, The Donald, is going to shut off your internet.  Then we will find out how much of a comedian you are.

no internet would bug an AI. but for us humans, not so much.

Wall Observer riot time?
Yeah - hold my beer...  This shall not stand

so what are we protesting? or is this just the wanton violence and destruction type of riot with no meaning behind it?

I need a flatscreen tv and some cheetohs

cant you at least make a list that you can fill at just one looted store? not many sell both cheetos and flatscreens. unless thats a UK thing?

Wall Observer riot time?

we could try. but then seeing page after page of "This user is currently ignored." will get boring fast. heck its getting to be that way already.
2030  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 01, 2020, 02:00:28 PM

That said, the US is nowhere near a civil war. Currently we are at the boring stage of riot. If this lasts a few months it will become a "civil insurrection". Civil war is at least 6-8 months down the road....

yeah im with this guy. the asteroid strike is scheduled next anyway.

Not even if white supremacist groups start wreaking havoc on blacks as a response?

as a response from the asteroid strike? nah i would worry more about the lizard people deep in the earth getting pissed and then they start rioting.

Hmm... if you want something a bit more current I recommend this:

Come on.

We all know one or both of those astronauts is an antifa plant. We will soon see the first riot in space.

It will not be the last.

no police cars to set on fire there. be pretty boring.

I feel like it's about time again to get some random newschooler completely stoked by showing him the windows registry  Cheesy

i remember playing with regedit

step 0: image system drive to local backup
step 2: image system drive again to different local media
step 3: image system drive again to different physical location.
step 4: PROFIT!   well fun anyway trying to fix what that random thing was you did in the registry that broke windows.. without doing a restore. educational.

Sorry for being a total smartass, but I can't resist any further  Grin

To be correct there are twice 65k ports, each UDP and TCP.
And since I am being an asshat already, it is 65536 ports, 65535 is just the highest port, but we computer people start counting at 0.

merited for being an anal retentive type.

2038  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My first visit to Bitcoin. Share your fast visit price on: May 29, 2020, 10:12:38 AM
~$10 USD in 2011. i mined using a gpu and i think the mtgox price was what i used.

and then of course the price dropped to $2 USD for the next year or so. a pattern that i now know well.
2039  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 29, 2020, 10:02:45 AM

this should be pinned. or stickied, whatever the term is.

There once was a coiner, whose name was mindrust,
He posted in WO, and gained our trust.
But little did he know,
He would suffer a blow,
When he did the unthinkable, and sold all his stash!

Even r0ach would agree that this move was quite baffling,
It's Bitcoin 101, you just don't sell pre-Halving.
But his mind was all rusted,
It was Masterluc he trusted,
So he blindly followed his all-bearish rumbling!

He blames COVID-19 for his panic reaction,
"Armageddon is coming, I just had to take action."
Now his Bitcoins are sold,
He is turning to gold,
In a desperate attempt to get some satisfaction.

Many WO'ers advised him to buy back some corn,
But he just couldn't live with the thought of being wrong.
Now he hears of Bitcoin,
And gets a pain in his groin,
Because deep down he knows, that his chance is now gone!

I know that those limericks are shitty as hell,
And I know that Jimbo's shit, as everyone's, smell.
I just hope that they serve,
To help us all keep our nerve,
And never ever give in to the pressure to sell!

And if all of the above hasn't made you, mindrust,
Reconsider, and quickly get some corn in your stash,
It won't be r0aches or ants,
At the seat of your pants,
But the boot of a HoDLer kicking your stubborn fat ass!

2040  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 29, 2020, 09:17:33 AM
True, but don't forget about fractional reserve: do you believe every exchange plays by the rules by maintaining a full reserve? This is not the case and in fact by looking at the amount of BTC that are leaving exchanges this is becoming a big thing.

proof of keys day exists for this reason. January 3rd. pull all btc (indeed anything else too) from any exchanges you may have some corn/whatever in.
