2041  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When/if will BlackCoin crash? on: April 14, 2014, 09:01:16 AM
It's a pump and dump.  A month and a half ago the pump of the month was Mintcoin and Vertcoin.

There's nothing special about Blackcoin at all and here are the reasons

- Faster Transaction speeds ~ a lot of alternate coins can claim this too
- Proof of Stake.  Old mechanism ~ Peercoin, NxT and other coins have had this for ages
- Bitclone (the client is a reskin of BTC)
- Distribution.  Top 100 wallets own the majority of Blackcoin.
- Novelty merchandise

I know the Bagholders and Whales will say I am a naysayer but there's absolutely nothing here to push Blackcoin into the $100+ million capitalization and let alone to keep it there.

Litecoin was a fluke, in part due to the dumb funds who missed out on BTC and threw money on LTC, and it's not likely to be repeated since those funds have since learned their lesson and realize they sit on worthless LTC coins.

sounds like sour grapes form someone who missed the boat..

I'm glad I got in early - LOL

Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked
Now starting to think we might see $1.

We will. The value of BTC is also recovering slowly so my prediction of $1.00 by Sunday might be off by a day or two. It might happen by this Friday. Sometime tomorrow it will be around $0.50 cents per coin. We might get there even quicker when people realize how undervalued this coin is and stop selling for peanuts. I honestly do not understand why people are selling for these prices when the buy pressure is so high. I guess $0.24 cents per coin seems amazing until a few days from now when they realize they could have gotten $1.00 per coin.

well it backslid overnight from a light .00077 back down to the .000510 range but I think it will climb steadily this week based on pent up demand for a coin to offer growth in replace of BC.

look for a steady rise and look for btc to get back close to 500
2043  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][FLT][Pool] flutter.speedminer.org - reliable FlutterCoin pool - 0.8% fee. on: April 14, 2014, 08:37:38 AM
try flutter.miningwith.us

they're great

Completed the setup of a kick-ass fast and reliable FlutterCoin mining pool.
Start now and visit http://flutter.speedminer.org to create an account, setup a worker and start mining.
Will be thinking of some rewards for early registrations. First need some folks on there to get things started.

Running on a super charged server (dual SSD disks and 32GB RAM) to ensure smooth mining and a very stable experience!!!

Here are the features:
 - Stratum
 - Auto payouts (PROP)
 - Pool fee of 0.8% (in return we offer a stable platform and good support)
 - Payouts checked every minute
 - Low latency

You can visit our pool here: http://flutter.speedminer.org

Any feedback / suggestions are greatly appreciated.  Please post all your comments on this board.

Our first block was just confirmed.  Made a payout of 4,473 FLT to a single miner.

Update on our giveaway!
We decided to prolong the time, but in addition, we'll also double the amount of users who will receive a bonus payout.  This way more users are rewarded for mining with us.

The top 20 block finders until 17/04 will each be given an additional 100 FLT each.

You can visit our pool here: http://flutter.speedminer.org

Very stable pool.  Steady payouts checked every minute, Payout after 112 confirms (lower then other pools).

How is this :kick-ass" when all it is is annoying? The entire EDIT ACCOUNT is locked up. The emails don't arrive. 10 minutes no email. WTF. Am I supposed to sit here and keep hitting refresh? Its not like I have a choice to RESEND the email either. This whole locking of account is seriously flawed. I have not been able to sign up for any new pools since this whole crap started.

@ $1650 this thing really kicks the butt of regular gridseeds

.32 USD / Kh/s vs .51 USD / Kh/s for the gridseeds.

it's a decent interim step to the Titan and Excalibers coming out ina  few months which will be  .052 usd / kh/s

I was going to order G-blade special promotion, but it is unclear from where will be the goods shipped. I would not like to pay VAT when shipped from China. Also why has the payment to be sent to Hong Kong, SEPA transfer would be much faster and cheaper too...?

Thanks for response

same question

For EU customers, items will be dispatched from our UK distribution centre, so no need to worry about VAT and DUTY
Payment send to HongKong is for accounting purpose. Gridseed's USD account is also in HongKong, easier for us.
We are considering to open a bank account in the UK.

PSU is not included correct?

Is there an OS on the device so that I can just ssh to it and fire up cgminer?

please answer asap and I'll be going to my bank this morning to complete the wire transfer/

thanks

if you guys read the first post you will see that he is not based in the UK he has a UK distributor he is based in Hong Kong I filled out an online form to order a few this morning and the wire transfer instructions are for China and the units are shipped from Hong Kong

I wonder when people will understand that an algo which uses less power is NOT a good thing.

All the retards who are too stupid to sufficient cool their rigs are happy right now.
But they dont get that power costs are the biggest part of costs in a mining operation.
Lowering this costs only encourages people to dump the coin at a lower pricetag than normal scrypt coins and still get their profits.

So have fun watching your coin getting dumped to death  Grin

have fun missing the train that is coming within a few weeks.

I can see both sides of the coin here.....

but actually you're not lowering the price tag - you're still requiring the investment in GPU power and keeping out the asic powerhouses...

by the way - I have asics and gpu and there's a ton of good gpu cards that'll hash on craogslist at $100 to $200 and with a semprom, 8 gb ram and bamt on a stick the $/hash  is now comparable from gpu to gridseeds - this lowers the price of running gpu's

I like my gpus more than my gridseeds - a monkey could get the gridseeds running - where the challenge in that?

is there any way to value this coin yet?

I wanted a couple of days mining lovecoin based on their grandiose promises only to see if given away in the millions and tank at about .000000001 UGH!

two days of mining for $4.80 when I could have been making $40 in a day with my gpu's

so tell me - why should I mine this coin?

You are a dumper, and as dumper you will always lose. That's all.

fuck you asshole - you don't know the first fucking thing about me you dick head...

I mine for fun and money - so take your small mind and please crawl back in your hole.

big shit aren't you hiding behind your keyboard - why not come visit me tonight at the Tae Kwon Do school where I teach - I'll wipe that smirk off your face in a nano second.

You're such a typical U.S. hater - Capitalism is a great thing - too bad that pathetic country you live in with 50% unemployment has to borrow from the U.S and world bank just to feed it's citizens - not surprising though if they're all like you.

LOL

I'd put it in range of $0.0015 ish maybe a little less. BlackCoin is 0.00011000 = $0.044
AidenCoin is 0.00003200

too bad it does not like cgminer from bamt

free coins after launch for the first 500.

I have the transaction id of both transfers and can see the entire chain of information - but now - what do I do with this?
