1 more day to the Golden Ticket round draw, I got the single ticket I won from a Wheel of Fortune spin, and that's all I'll have, feel lucky enough to win once every draw, I'm gunning for legendary status if I win it from that Wink

Only just learnt after all these years you get a free WoF in email just for wagering 500 sats a day. I'll probably do that every day I remember now, autobet 500 on 1 sat, why not?

^  Does getting 5 - 6 picks right don't win free bets anymore?  It's 10k or bust now?

Nah they still win freebets, just in dollar value now. Think it used to be 50 mbtc on 6/7? And 20 on 5/7. Waaay back when. Turned a few into very good accas, and a few into crap, but those were the days.

Happy putting money down on boxing these days, but if they bring back 4+1 promos next season, you'll be seeing me coughing sats back into UCL or Prem!

I put my beliefs in last two rounds in West Ham, somehow thought they will rise above relegation fight, but obviously wrong
as with many other predictions, since my teams are fighting for relegation, I am too invested in following all other clubs in that region, thinking they are better than they are, and mistakes are just coming one after another

but there is still time to finish it off in nice fashion, especially if both my teams survive tough seasons

Sometimes I think of teams like West Ham with old lenses. I think I make the same mistake with Leeds. You have some standout players, and they get into the mix every now and then, but not enough to pull the entire team up.

Right now, in the league, I find it impossible to name 5 players who are super consistent. Rashford in the form of his life, but he blanked 2 games ago. Saka's probably the only one who's been for the season spending 80% of his game time playing well, but he doesn't score FPL points so regularly.

Haaland? He's like Bitcoin. Can make huge contributions and break records, but will cost you many games and budget gaining no points.

Points-wise, I'm a bit blind in this regard, I feel. It's really not enough to watch games and get the feel for players, you *have* to consider points contribution. That's a whole new aspect I'm still learning about for FPL Smiley

or 5-10% cashback on the house hedge (ie 0.05-0.10% of the 1% house hedge) which is not the same thing at all at the end.

I believe it was this one Smiley cashback on the house edge. So if you wagered 3000, like I'd normally do just for the Easter eggs, then yeah, I'm only looking at $1.50 since Arsenal didn't win.

I generally like taking big hits on these cashbacks though, it's pretty easy to set auto on 100 bets at $20, and then play for the losses regularly. It's all good turnover.

Now the Arsenal/UCL 5 min cashbacks they used to do end of last year during halftime was something special. Not sure if they still do actually, haven't tuned into CHTV for a while. Absolute percentage, win or lose. Easily play 10 rounds and get 10% of total wager back, regardless if you won/loss.

Gee, they must be frustrating to follow sometimes  Huh Huh

Champions League tonight, whats your thoughts on those matches?

To rub salt into the wounds of those taking that special, Barca alone won 12 corners. Funny game, this football.

Bayern today, you know, because Mane needs to draw blood.

So we're at the next stop, and it's only Week 2.

Too early to say, (when is it never?) but I do note that price has broken and stayed above 30k, with no signs of let up even as Europe trading closes. Would have expected several retraces but if we stay up a full 24 hours, and then even on Friday, it will be a good breather.

Personally, still waiting for one last big bad event. Don't think people have hurt just as badly as 2020.

@buwaytress
it is that time to have our first h2h match, no matter questions, this will be a hard round, may luck decide who will take three points in the end

looking at NBA, would prefer to see similar question oriented to Euroleague (and there is an almost similar situation, last round, five teams fight for four positions, with a lot of combinations included)
still, NBA it is, and will be answered Smiley

To echo Trofo and every call in the past: May the luckiest bastard win! So yes, in the spirit of luck, I answered every question to the best of my gut knowledge and watching teams play, I doubt injuries affect either team playing too much.

I have to admit I did read the NBA play-in / play-off bits (never heard of play-in before ha) but only just to understand how it all works. Which was good, as without reading I would naturally have gone for all the underdogs Wink

2047  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: EFL English Championship League 2022/2023 on: April 10, 2023, 01:34:32 PM
Goddamn but what's going on with Huddersfield, huh?

Warnock joined and they got their first win in 8 games, great. But then they go the next 3 games scoring zero goals and letting in eight.

Then the point from Canaries, and then boom, blow away Milwall, Boro, Watford... that last game open themselves up an entire 40 minutes, before cranking up the whoopass on them to come from behind and sit 1 point above relegation.

Then today they turn up and give a lesson on clinical finishing, 2 shots in 6 minutes, 2 goals -- Norwich and the 4/5 teams behind playoffs benefit the most!

They'll still most likely end the week in relegation place because of this point, but all it takes is a couple of games and suddenly things look rosy again, huh. This is the form team of the moment... just too bad I couldn't pick them out earlier. Also, winning/drawing all your games with much lower xG? Genius.

Look at this Neil Warnock gem explaining why Huddersfield has become so good!

"It's about having a good manager, innit?"

No one did shittier than me, and I'm rage-matching by keeping my entire team and just switching from the bench. If we don't smash Leeds next game, then I'm rage-transferring after this GW. Does prove that you can't really leave a team alone though -- 22 points for me as a punishment for not doing a single transfer. Super ouch.

At this point, I prefer Nunez to blank the entire rest of season so he can come back and Haaland next... Guy can dream can't he?
2049  Economy / Speculation / Re: MicroStrategy Buys Another 1,045 bitcoins for $29.3m on: April 10, 2023, 11:08:23 AM
Nope, currently their net book value is negative. It doesn't look like they bought bitcoins with the excess cash, but rather went into debt to buy it. Unless they're able to turn things around quickly, looks like their only bet is on BTC going up in the near future.

What's more, if nothing changes, this means they will likely be dumping large amounts whether BTC goes up or down:
- if it goes down, they will be facing liquidity problems and will be forced to sell.
- if it goes up, shareholders will want to realise their profits at what they'd consider a top, rather than seeing their long-awaited gains being eaten up by unprofitable operations or risking going through another dump.

So what actually makes you feel secure here?

Yeah, this whole thing doesn't sit well with me -- I was actually pretty chuffed at the initial MS news before, not that I follow much or care much for institutionals, but the move itself, and then Saylor's interviews after, made me think he was pretty damned progressive.

But what happened last year and now this, feels like he's regressing more into gambler mentality more than anything else. Hard to see how they had excess cash in the first place, especially if he had to survive sub-20k levels. Getting into debt then actually would have settled nerves but now when there's still uncertainty in whether the economy's done purging?

-- buwaytress became the only player saying goodbye to the tournament by answering 3 questions correctly.

Thank you for the dubious honour my friend. I note that I crash out of this round, as usual, on Liverpool failing to win. It's my Achilles heel and I need them to turn their games around because I can't help but pick them!

Not taking away anything from BigSlam, he hit so many spot on.

As Klopp said: "...fail in the most beautiful way."

Great game, one of the best draws in football, full of passion and dangerous attacks, and then we have the bum Nunez. Liverpool were the dominant team in the second half and could have won the game if Nunez had converted those chances. Man is consistently bad. Manchester City now control their destiny; win your remaining 10 games and you will be crowned league champions. Not a difficult task if they are knocked out of the Champions League early. I feel for Arsenal

Yeah, I don't say this other games we lost but we should have won this one. Arsenal almost spilled back into old discipline-problem Gunners, but I will feel for them if they don't make it...
2051  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: EFL English Championship League 2022/2023 on: April 09, 2023, 02:42:29 PM
This HT cost me big... Huddersfield was 24/1 around 35th minute to win. But I HAD to wait till HT, and they equalised on the 44th. Went on to win the game, even led 3-1 at some point before letting in another goal.
Losing bet in last minutes is worst feeling but I dont know why you went with Huddersfield match bet, I gave much better options above and they all went great.

You misunderstood me haha. I didn't place any bet, because I was waiting for Half Time.

Had I placed live bet on Huddersfield when they were 1-0 down to Watford, the odds would have been 24/1 (24x!).

Unfortunately they equalised at 44th minute... so the odds no longer looked value to me (back down to 5/1).

I actually really like longshot odd bets like these, as you might have heard me explain many times. Because it's high value for me (I put it very simple. 24/1 means bookies say the outcome only happens 1 in 24 games, but we all know Championship and that kind of comeback is much, much more likely than 1 in 24 times.

Oh and yeah, Kompany's back! So pleased for the bastard whose last goal in one season lost us the league =(

Hey guys, just wanted to drop by and give a shout out to the support guys at Livecasino. I hadn't played here for a while and when I tried logging in, found that my account had been disabled.

Emailed support as instructed and within a minute, they'd got back to me with the all-clear and a bit of advice to say I need to login and play every now and then or install 2FA, just for account security. All agreed, shame on me for not securing my account earlier heh heh.

Then went to play some freespins, but they'd already expired today (I received them on Wednesday). Chat agent was with me in seconds, reissued the spins immediately so no fuss. Lesson for me: spend your freebies asap!

Congrats for your Easter egg and your big winnings from these 20 free spins. Do you remember the value of each spin?
I will try to get one too.

Thanks! It was $1 value per spin so $20 worth of freespins.

Don't forget this is an extra special weekend too. I know Sportsbet won't mind sharing but there's a hell lot of value betting on live casino on this Easter if you just play 2 days to get the eggs ($2000 wager total).

- #BelievetheHype is auto, you get 5% cashback on Arsenal Baccarat every weekend. 10% if Arsenal win their match that week. Baccarat's lower house edge (about 1%) anyway, so it's almost guaranteed profit if you just play to break even there.
- Opt in on the Easter tournament, my wager's brought me to a spot I believe should get a $20 freebet already.

I don't even really play casino much but I'm unexpectedly in profit from today already, and haven't played my freespins Wink

Man, another Toney, Kane, Watkins hit, but the Maddison/Antonio blanks continue, if Salah scores it'll be another pointless 4/7 for me. Blah. Not that it would have been easier to pick Matheus Nunes and a Harrison own goal in the Hammers/Chelski game anyway...

Don't worry, I'm winning it eventually, and I'll make a nice poster for Tornike to show me off Wink

OMG, those are amazing records, mate. Congrats! And you turned them into wins? Those are good memories , indeed. Smiley

Aye, I would dig them up but not today, maybe another day when I want to look back with wistful sentiment heh heh. BTC betting was awesome before 10k huh...

On the other hand, I'm definitely going to look at HT scores and see if I can't back a tasty comeback? Just not from Wigan or Huddersfield, though, relegation candidates don't fight back, against promotion candidates... right?

This HT cost me big... Huddersfield was 24/1 around 35th minute to win. But I HAD to wait till HT, and they equalised on the 44th. Went on to win the game, even led 3-1 at some point before letting in another goal.

Not just a disappointing loss for Watford, but an expensive one, losing their keeper unnecessarily when they're fighting for a playoff spot. Suppose he wanted the ghost of Cantona to live on, see this clip [https://twitter.com/SkyFootball/status/1644379863141187586], this is dire. Watford, what has happened to you that your fans and players are churning up such toxicity?

Happy to be back on track myself on Inter and Milan -- these are the teams I've been saying to spam on handicap bets. Feeling a bit silly for not backing those same results on Superbru but with my position, I have to try and go for the majority to try and catch points on exact scores/slams. Napoli was on my ticket (despite no big O) I think the Milan disaster was a one-off.

Fiorentina let down though?

Buway take it easy on me, I know it's too late but we actually have same responses in everything except Barca game, and of course tiebreaker, which we won't need because of Barca Smiley

Think you got lines crossed, buddy, we have the exact same answers on everything from the spreadsheet I can see, and we actually need the tiebreaker to decide... and once more, it's Liverpool deciding my destiny.

Sort of nice to "relax" today and not watch while hoping for BSFL outcomes, just bets.

GL! Everton made sure I had a bad start to the day =p

Belated well done wished to direwolf. Pretty darned impressive, however you look at it. I'm absolutely out of places here so just playing for yellow caps... Everton kicks off what looks to be a miserable outing for me. You don't really see it on form and paper, but United aren't as good as they should be, Toffees better than they are, yet first half is all United and they take a deserved lead. Oh well =)

GL on the 16-leg acca Betwrong. He who dares wins... and I'm trying not to think of Spurs saying that haha.

Man, Liverpool. They keep haunting me.

But I'm thinking we've got 2 brilliant games today, against both Manchester teams. City were awesome but Saints are a different beast and I feel like we're going to get something out of a rotation of Walcott/JWP... while United broke Brentford in the end but Everton are a sterner test I feel (Dyche is up for this).

So, 100 units each at Sportsbet:

Everton to WIN vs Man Utd @6.72. Other odds: 6.20
Southampton to WIN vs City @14.75. Other odds: 12.80
Bet ID: 642b447cedad45000165eec9

Units advantage: 52+195 = 247

Running advantage after 47 bets: +4449 (+247)
All-time cumulative: +87,529
Running units after 46 bets (8W|38L): +2828 (-200)

Hope everyone's settling into the weekend, I barely closed my work stuff and just came in to opt in for the new Easter Day Mystery Prize promo.

https://sportsbet.io/promotions/2023-04-07-easterday-prize-drops

Did my day's work at the roulette tables and got my first prize, pretty decent winnings of $70 from a few spins, small joys for a long weekend, now if only I translate that kind of luck into my actual betting?

Have a blessed one, people.
