2061  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you be influenced by your favourite celebrity? on: October 25, 2022, 11:04:05 PM
Celebrities are sponsored by product companies for a reason, because product endorsements of a notable personality whether it is from notoriety or honor works. Drake right here could be or could not be sponsored by Stake, but by all means it works so well, just the fact that we are talking about it is more than enough proof that it has broken grounds on multiple levels and is already a sentiment to how celebrity endorsements affect the laymen's way of thinking especially with stuff like best site to gamble on. If my idol bets his money there you bet your bottom dollar I'm placing my bets there too.
2062  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade with a business mindset on: October 25, 2022, 10:40:28 PM
My peers always tells me to never let your greed take over your mind when it comes to starting a business and with trading. In retrospect both are just investing in its roots, just with different nature of assets. So it wouldn't come as a surprise that healthy business practices would work well when you implement them in your trading discipline. To support my earlier statement, I always think of every pump I gain from my position regardless if big or small as profit already and I call it a day. That's so much better than letting your greed get the better of you and losing your position in the process.
2063  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What problem does Bitcoin solve? on: October 25, 2022, 12:20:24 PM
I think the last two pointers you made are redundant, and I'm not even sure if the first one could be considered as a problem considering that no one actively looks for 0.0000001 dollars these days. Then again I would agree that bitcoin does solve a pain-point that many of us had experienced at least once in our lives, and that is connectivity, which is just practically non-existent in fiat currencies. Add to this practicality coz jumping between borders would also require you to use their native currency otherwise you'd die of starvation (well, except for countries who accepts dollars as their native currency like Zimbabwe and Venezuela).
2064  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Education on: October 25, 2022, 10:03:24 AM
Bitcoin was the first decentralized cryptocurrency, which first released as an open-source software in 2009 but didn't reach public attention.

Now, crypto education becomes a priority for world-class education institutions such as University of the Cumberlands (United Kingdom), University of the West of England (United Kingdom), University of Toronto (Canada), University of Warwick (United Kingdom), University of Waterloo (Canada), University of Westminster (United Kingdom), etc.

Learning cryptocurrency will attract you towards the digital world and internet technology. It will prepare you for the future, since digital world is here to stay, and technology is progressing and evolving rapidly.

Is it time for the whole world to embrace, adapt, add it in educational curriculum and teach cryptocurrency to the youth?
For some, learning about cryptocurrrencies and how they work could act as a gateway for them to learn not only about internet technology but information technology in its entirety. I know a couple folks who started from mining cryptocurrencies and joining airdrops way back in 2015 who now owed their careers in the IT industry through the same path. Then again as with everything this is not a generalization and there could be other pathways people can take, but learning about cryptocurrencies will somehow impart you with the curiosity to know how it works, in one way or another.
Although it is a great point to make when discussing the reasons for implementing cryptocurrency education in today's school curriculums, the biggest reason why some institutions would create such leeway for bitcoin and cryptocurrency as a whole is for public awareness, and to really involve the learning minds of these students in the world of crypto. Which is something that indeed is necessary considering Web3 is powered by the blockchain.
2065  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tips on how to place sports bets on: April 11, 2021, 04:07:14 PM
If you will be able the odds between the teams or players, then you will have a higher chance to win in sportsbetting. The thing that makes it easier to win in sportsbetting compared to other pure-luck gambling  games is that the outcome is in the hands of the players or that they have control of the outcome most of the times. Ofcourse luck will still be there but most of the time, if you know who and what you are betting your money with  in this field, you will get the win on the bet. Also, Be careful on manipulation on the outcome which is quite observable nowadays especially in online gambling.
2066  Economy / Economics / Re: Investment the way to economic stability on: April 11, 2021, 03:35:37 PM
Well, I agree with most --it's better to learn from small as you have plenty of times to fail. Compared to doing shortcuts and losing a lot and of course, higher gravity and higher height fall. That will definitely hurt you until you can’t even survive. I agree that if you can’t grow small, don’t ever think about growing big. The greatest talent of all is building wealth. Because it is something that has to be learning in real life and I really find this thread good.
Investment, small or big is still an investment and so grow, put on the seeds and wait for them to give you what you deserve.

what more can i say, instilling this mindset to your kids will be one good legacy that you can give to them in their lifetime. this will give them the concept the importance of money and investments. small or big, this will teach them how to handle their finances wisely.
it will also prepare you for situations that you may encounter in the future. and if you are prepared financially, this will ease things at your advantage.
Passing the idea from our generation to the new one will be a good thing to do but be aware of the consequences of doing so. Investment breaks the idea that being an employee is a great source of income and is something that will be sufficient for our daily lives. Investment will give you more but will definitely cost you more. The risk is the thing that should always be mentioned if you are trying to convince other people regarding investments because they might not be aware of such thing and will just focus on the probability of earning the profit. Likewise with almost everything, it has its own advantages and disadvantages but I still doubt that it will trigger an economic stability since that is quite of a bigger concern.
2067  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sold my first Bitcoin and am happy on: March 16, 2021, 02:16:14 PM
Just seeing how huge the difference is, in its market value way back 3 years ago, will surely satisfy any investor with regards to the profit. It is surely hard to hold for that long given how many downfalls we have seen over the past years and it is only this year wherein the market value doubled and even tripple its ATH before. It is not as easy as it may sound to just hold and I do think those people who managed to do so are really something.
Just sold 5% of my Bitcoin that I've been holding for 3 years and I feel satisfied doing so.

I didn't need to sell, and it was mainly for the satisfaction of getting back some of my original investment.

However, I also feel like its broken the "HODL AT ALL COSTS" mindset which I felt was getting a bit unhealthy.

I do feel there are risks with Bitcoin, and I won't drag people down with that here, but I will be diversifying that money into gold and shares, mainly tech shares.

If Bitcoin dips a lot, I will also buy some more Bitcoin though.

Basically, I'm glad I sold some if only to stop feeling like a slave to it (and to test the Coinbase selling functionality which only took seconds for the transaction).

It looks like you were really patient that you HODLed for 3 years.  Grin  We don't see so many people have the courage not to do a panic-sell and wait patiently for making a profit that is worth selling. Of course you didn't sell all of it but it really feels good when you make a nice profit and want to celebrate it by selling a little amount of it.  Grin
Holding all of it is like carrying a boulder over a mountain. And it I'll be awesome to know if he really managed to not sell even a small amount over the years. I myself failed to o so because of the pressure this market gave me when the market price fell for more than a year.
2068  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this still a good time on: March 01, 2021, 10:06:30 PM
Is it over already or it's not too late to invest in altcoins right now? I'm new to this crypto thing and I've been told to invest in top altcoins or BTC but the market isn't looking so good and I don't know if this is still a good time to invest or wait for red market

One of the most recommended strategies for investing in the crypto world involves investing 40-50% of your budget in popular altcoins.

Some of these popular altcoins include NEO, Tron, DASH, etc. Some experts believe that altcoins are likely to outperform Bitcoin and other established coins. This is because they have a strong foundation along with great growth potential, profit structure, utility mechanism, etc.

There are many other similar altcoins with great potential. The risk of these coins is minimal and the potential for return is high in the long run. So most of your investment should go there.
There's no such thing as "expert", we are all making speculations about this market. Investing to the popular ones is indeed a good option but that's not exactly as it is. Bitcoin as an example is a good choice but in my case I don't have holdings in TRON and Dash even if these two are on the top list. It will still be depending on your preference and it is not a mandatory to invest to each of the big names. An investor has a freedom to diversify or to just invest to one crypto. Either way, risk should be considered especially right now wherein the market is more unpredictable. Proof to this is the sudden downfall in the price of cryptos then followed by an upward motion in the same week.
2069  Economy / Speculation / Re: btc dump today and yesterday on: March 01, 2021, 05:28:40 PM
Everyone should understand that any kind of business may be up or may be down. Therefore, btc is one kind of method of business which can be up or down the market. Last few days, we saw the price btc is down but I believe that it will increase again and breaks the previous record.
The ideology is not suitable. Investment and Businesses are two different things. I would consider Bitcoin more of an investment despite of it being used in such manner. Bitcoin is more of an investment simply because there's no service being offer to the majority It is just bitcoin having a volatile market value which gives profit to its users whenever they are using cryptos or simply, the market is in favor of its behavior. Going back with the topic, it is no longer easy to ored8what could happen next because no one is certain if the market either had a crash or something is happening, which is also a part of its volatility.
2070  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can / cannot replace the banks ? on: March 01, 2021, 05:06:45 PM
Been discussed multiple times that Bitcoin will not replace banks. These two differ from various characteristics such as centralization, stability, and the likes. Also I do believe that replacing banks is the main purpose of cryptocurrencies. Cryptos are meant to be used for transactions which involves digital currencies. Also it would be impossible knowing how strong the support banks are getting from different governments due to regularisation. Let things be. An individual may store his wealth to cryptos but be ready for the risk. An individual may store his wealth to banks but be patient.
2071  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP to hit $589 on February 30th. on: March 01, 2021, 04:16:45 PM
Sarcasm at its finest. I don't really to explain the date in order to determine the underlying context in this statement. But to elaborate, XRP is a good coin but due to the issues it faced in this industry, many people are in doubt to invest in this crypto. But for this crypto to be included in the top or biggest crypto industry, that is enough to tell its potential. Its market value has a tendency to have an increase in the future if further developments will be observable. For now there are still problems but no crypto is perfect I guess. There will always be a downside.
2072  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do you feel about Bitcoin today? on: March 01, 2021, 03:11:19 PM
There is an upward trend and the market price is again in green marks, also, the market value is again close to $50k. Definitely a good indicator. Congrats to those who invested in red marks not disregarding the capabilities and putting their trust in Bitcoin. That is an easy money for those who believed. To those who sold to save their losses, again, lesson is learned. The market is now more unpredictable and patterns we created based on its past is now no longer working. The market price could go up and down depending on the majority of transactions and market volume. So I guess it would be better to most of the times to still trust this industry despite of high market prices.
2073  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: "People who have invested on ETH soon will be poor", said CZ #BSC on: February 28, 2021, 04:40:54 PM
Statements without substances won't matter. We have seen, and heard many people who are negative to cryptocurrencies eversince. Any investment has risks, and if you won't be careful with your investments, losses will follow but that's not limited to Ethereum that is why I am confused with this crypto, being mentioned. Above other alts, Ethereum have proven itself and those who are not new in this industry would easily understand why this statement quite sound as a joke. You'll be poor in the world of investments if you will allow yourself to be by making decisions such as selling during bearish market behavior.
2074  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can't be used for transactions? on: February 28, 2021, 03:59:11 PM
Why not? Bitcoin can be used for making transaction for sending funds to others as payment or other purposes. I believe that you send your crypto funds to others to make it cash. By following this way, you can send it as making transaction and you can send it anywhere in the world. So no hassle there as I think.
We would be biased to answer why Bitcoin should be used on transactions since we are in this industry. But we cannot change the fact that despite of the growth in this technology, there are still businesses, areas and institutions wherein cryptos are not acknowledged as a mode of payment. The trust in those places are still low and we cannot force them to adopt this technology if they are not interested. Let us keep it slow. Based on what is happening recently, huge names or networks are now considering this technology which will more likely trigger a domino effect. So just wait.
2075  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'd appreciate some help with my portfolio on: February 28, 2021, 03:22:57 PM
Hello.
Right now my portfolio includes:
ZIL - 34%
COTI - 32%
REEF - 21%
ADA - 13%

How would you rate it based in your experience? I did alot of reading before buying this coins but except cardano the rest underperform. Im a new investor and i bought all of my coins a week ago when everything was on peak..
Would you suggest some changes or something else to look for?
Should i sell any of these?
Thanks in advance!!
I am only familiar with ADA, ZIL, and COTI. Based on your portfolio, I would suggest higher percentage in ADA. I will also suggest investing with cryptos having huge names because those are the ones which are having a bigger tendency to recover especially at this moment wherein the market is filled with red marks. Selling some of your crypto holdings should depend on your market analysis because it is you who will earn from your investments, and likewise in order to avoid regrets from depending too much with other's opinion. You may use the recommendations as a guide but do not allow those things to dictate your actions.
2076  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone over here accepting Crypto as payment ?... on: February 28, 2021, 02:11:41 PM
I do accept crypto payments but not all the time. I do Web designing and I am giving them the option to pay using this technology but not a mandatory since I have observed that majority of my clients are still not into cryptocurrencies and I respect that. I could convert they fiat payments into crypto if I would want to so it is somewhat not a problem. There are institutions which are now accepting and paying their employees cryptocurrencies but are also optional. Both of these scenarios, I have mentioned 'optional'. That is simply the reality in which not all people will prefer to enter this industry if in the first place they are not really into it. I do share my point of view regarding this technology such as its advantages in which I do see. Well, who knows in the future, maybe they will have the initiative.
2077  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: First time scammed , very frustrated on: February 28, 2021, 01:42:03 PM
Once you're scammed or fooled, that's the end for your holdings. The least thing you can do is to learn from what happened and to avoid not being a victim again. If there are possible ways to regain your losses, do every bit of it but as you are trying to get yours back, never forget what brought you into such situation. With that, you'll be wiser next time. Scam projects and the likes won't stop as long as there are people who are still falling for their scheme. Always make precautions such as asking to other people if something is bothering you or simply if you are not sure with what you are doing. That won't cost you much.
2078  Economy / Speculation / Re: ARE WE STILL BULLISH OR BEARISH ? on: February 28, 2021, 12:57:00 PM
Bearish at this moment, I guess.
Most of the cryptos in my portfolio are on red marks and this has been a continuous downfall. What we are not sure of is to when will recovery occur or will the prices start to rise next week? 'coz if it won' t and if the situation will get worse on the market prices, this would be both of a good thing and a bad thing. Investors could make use of the opportunity to invest. While it would be somewhat of a bad thing since no one knows when will the market price start to rise. Going back with what happened before, when a huge downfall happened on the past years, it took a long period of time before recovery again was seen.
2079  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CAN RIPPLE SURVIVE? on: February 28, 2021, 12:22:57 PM
Despite of the issues XRP have encountered, it remained resilient over the past years and that I think won't happen if this altcoin is not "big enough" so I guess it will be able to again survive this one.
XRP is constantly being said that it will rise in price, but that never happens. Therefore, it is better to pay attention to other cryptocurrencies, as they are constantly growing, unlike XRP, which hangs in one place.
That will be tough. The concern here is survival and XRP having a price increase would be tough in my opinion because of the impression it left to many of its investors. So if it is survival, it will have a huge chance to battle it out against SEC. Further developments will be needed for this crypto to again be able to catch up with the big names in this industry.
2080  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what is your bull run profit 2021 on: February 27, 2021, 11:45:53 PM
you are very lucky to get very much profit.  I also get profit but not as much as you, because I am a small player and my capital is also small.  but I keep the spirit and do not complain.  hopefully in the future you will get even more benefits
Congratulations still, for making a profit from the recent bull run. Not all people did, some people still lose especially when the price is still playing around $18k to $20k. Some sold their holdings early doubting the market price of this technology. Many people became hesitant to invest because this is the first time we see a market price higher than its ATH way back 2017. There are people who believed who are also the ones made huge profit. Some people expected of the possibility that the price could be higher but grabbed the option to play the market safe. No matter who you are in these scenarios I've mentioned, things are just fine. If you made mistakes on your investment, it is never too late to learn.
