2061  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it a good time to start accepting BTC? on: June 02, 2022, 07:36:38 PM
Hello all,

I have been following Bitcoin prices for some time, and now I'm doubtful if it is a good time to start accepting it as it has changed so much in the past months. Those who accept Bitcoin - is it worth it? And do you accept Bitcoin straight to your wallet, or do you use third-party services?

Thanks in advance!

From what we know from Bitcoin history, BTC always surpasses it's previous ATH. So, today it's a good time for accepting Bitcoin, but under one condition: you must be good with holding your BTC for the next couple of years, or maybe even 3-4 years. Yes I'm positive that another ATH will be achieved, but it can take some time.

Don't get me wrong, I personally think that a new ATH can happen with high probability this very year, but we should be prepared for the worst, you know.
It's always a good time to start accepting bitcoin because its price will eventually rise up in time and we will witness a new ATH that will bring a lot of profits for us. Otherwise, we will miss another chance again if we continue to be skeptical on buying bitcoin because of its endless risks. However, its always your personal choice at the end of the day since you are the one responsible for your finances but majority of us here always believe that there's no late from accepting bitcoin.
2062  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 (September 17) on: June 02, 2022, 02:10:54 PM

It's true, Bivol with the beating he gave Canelo I think was enough to leave Canelo with almost no chance, it also surprises me that Canelo had a new fight so quickly, I think he has lost something, if everything goes well for Canelo this time could think about the match against GGG, for me GGG needs this fight with him much more, I think it is already a matter of honor and rivalry, for GGG he needs a victory with him more than ever, if GGG manages to have the fight with He may have one more star in his career, but if Canelo loses again I don't think such a fight can take place, I think the fns would not be very interested.

I remember that match. It was just beautiful to watch. I must say that Bivol put out a stellar performance. But I must give credit to Canelo for taking risks and not being afraid like many fighters today are. I think it's part of the reason he got a new fight so quickly. On the other hand, the fight between Canelo and GGG is going to be personal for him considering he lost the first 2. In other words there no a second chance after this. He knows it could be the last time GGG fights.

A trilogy is usually the final fight, the winner of the fight can be declared the best fighter between the two. Although Canelo already beat GGG twice, but some people are not happy or not convinced with his performance, therefore, this trilogy should happen and this would also give the fans an opportunity to see a big fight this year.

2064  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin drops to $8k on: June 01, 2022, 09:46:28 PM
Lets assume Guggenheim's Minerd speculation on bitcoin having an ultimate bottom of $8k if it hits $30k referencing the "[U.S. Federal Reserve] being restrictive.”, Currently bitcoin price is below $28k and from the look of things this speculation might and might not be accurate but what if bitcoin price falls to this very dip.

I am asking what will you sell to buy more bitcoin if this speculation ever happens or will you choose to  sell off all your bitcoin due to FUD.
If you sell off your bitcoin at a low price of $8k, then you will only end up in a huge loss. Rather than selling, would this be a big opportunity to accumulating more bitcoin and hold them for future profits. This crypto market won't give us quick profits, so we should never do things that will make us regrets in the future. Buy the dip and hold, that would be the best move if ever.
2065  Economy / Economics / Re: Enticing customers to make payment with crypto. on: June 01, 2022, 09:17:27 PM
Is this a possible way to entice customers who do not like to pay with crypto, Will offering discounts for goods when a customer pays with crypto or free gifts encourage and entice more customers to use their crypto for payment of goods? If I offer discounts which will encourage more of my customers to get crypto, how can I possibly sustain it for long to ensure that i don't run at a loss?

You can have a seasonal discounts if you want for you to sustain it quite longer. But if you are thinking that you would give discounts for crypto payers all the time, that would also lessen the profits you'll be making. Otherwise, you have to set your priority, those fiat customers or those crypto users. Giving discounts is always a proven technique to convince customers, but no store owner would survive if he ends up giving mostly his items free for all the crypto users.
2066  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What approach do you expect from the Government if your Country adopt bitcoin? on: June 01, 2022, 08:26:02 PM
when my government accepts bitcoin and supports it as a payment alternative, then that's enough for me. after all, the bitcoin movement happened because people were enthusiastic about it. oh one thing I might want, maybe the government can also provide support regarding learning to use crypto, especially bitcoin in existing communities. by providing sufficient education, it is possible that bitcoin adoption will increase in my city or country.
Actually, there is currently no resistance regarding the use of crypto in my country, the important thing is that it is not used as a legal payment alternative. only, so far very few understand about crypto, and also only used as a place of investment.
That's mostly the case that people's resorting into crypto as investments since crypto is not yet fully adopted as a legal tender. Even in my country, i don't see any big opposition about crypto, the government is still studying and discussing about it if it could bring changes into the country's economy. However, i believe that one key to be successful in crypto adoption is that the government should be able to provide sufficient education first to all the people and let them understand well how crypto can create positive changes in the country.
2067  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA Finals 2022 - Warriors vs Celtics. on: June 01, 2022, 04:08:51 PM
I agree with you on that, I think that the Celtics are just overrated, they play the last 2 series in game 7, so they are not really that good because they can't dominate a match-up. This is just my personal opinion though, I just don't see the inexperienced Celtics will beat the experienced Warriors team.

This might be correct or wrong but the teams on the East is different to the West so it's hard to measure the team strenght by just counting the number of games it a team took to beat there opponent. There's a possibility that Bucks and Heat is much stronger than Grizzlies and Mavericks but this impossible to conclude unless there's another match for the Losers bracket and determine who will at that particular match to measure the difficulty of both Warriors and Celtics when facing there opponents.

It's certainly different and what we are seeing in the Finals is the best teams in the NBA.
In their last 4 games, Boston had a 3-1 lead, so Boston is really a good team, however, the Warriors now are complete, they have Klay Thompson already, and probably Iggy will be back in the NBA Finals, same with Porter Jr, so it's really an unpredictable series.

It's different when the game already in the finals, and you mentioned it right Klay is back and we seen how impacting his presence, the help that the team get from him in both defense and offense he really makes it hard for their opponent, while Curry is still doing his job attacking and creating space for his teammates. The rotation is unpredictable. They have deeper rosters who can all play the same hypes.

I want to see Iggy teaming with Green, orchestrating their defense. Guess everyone noticed this. They are also a trio in terms of defense together with Wiggins, while the splash bro has Poole in their offense.

I like how coach Kerr trusted Klay Thompson, although there are some games that he struggled and yet they still allowed him to shoot the ball and he was able to get his confidence back and his rhythm in the shooting. In games that matter, Klay Thompson is ready to step up, just like in the last game of the WCF and the last game of Warriors vs Memphis.

Game 6 Klay is always fun to watch.

4. Always use DCA when buying any crypto (Dollar cost average) in a bearish market: This enable you to manage your lost if more bearish is seen.

Or just DCA in general regardless if we're in a bear market or a bull market. One of the main points of doing DCA is that you have no idea what the markets will do hence you're putting money in regardless of price and market sentiment.
For me, that is the safest strategy to use because you are only giving yourself more opportunities to earn especially if its bitcoin as you  never miss any chance to buy in every price decline. And this is also a smart move if you have low budget funds as you don't want to buy all in but certainly just buy whenever the price of the coins keeps on dipping. So definitely buying with DCA is always an advantage regardless of how the market we'll be in the next possible days.
2070  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think we should do with our investments in times of uncertainty? on: May 31, 2022, 09:24:36 PM
Quote
While it is true that no one is a fortune teller, the investor has no choice but to invest with an expectation. From analyzes and appraisals, assumptions arise. And, then, from the assumptions, the purchases or the sales arise. The optimist thinks that the price of his favorite asset will rise in the future. And the pessimist thinks exactly the opposite. The strategist instead prepares for both scenarios. What if the price goes down? What happens if the price goes up? What you want is to grow financially with the greatest possible stability.
In my opinion when we talk about cryptocurrencies it is not known what can happen, it is really uncertain that prices fluctuate day by day, since in addition to being very high one day it can be very low, it should be noted that there may be crypto assets that people tend to follow , which have a lot of movement in the market (this almost always remains at a resistance) but in the same way these markets remain in a very inconstant ups and downs.

From my point of view there are two types of investors, the first is here that when they realize that the cryptocurrency is in a bearish state, they feel fear and prefer to sell their investment completely, this either generates little profit than expected or at worst the cases lose what was invested, and the second is the visionary who, when the cryptocurrency is in a bearish state, buys and waits for a bullish state to sell at a high price and obtain very good profits…. In my case it would be the second since I consider myself a winner and as they say "he who does not risk does not win".

A few days ago I talked about this a bit but I didn't go into depth as such and I wanted to see what you guys thought. What would you do in uncertain times?
Information extracted from: https://es.cointelegraph.com/news/how-to-redesign-our-portfolio-in-uncertain-times
Hodling our investments would be the best thing to do in times of uncertainties. However, if we are hodling shitcoins, i don't think they are still worth hodling as they won't grow their value anyways but for bitcoin and with the rest of potential and established altcoins, we should hodl them instead of panic selling because once we do that, we are selling them in exchange for a loss as its like we only sell them when their prices are low and dropping.
2071  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Eastern Conference Finals (Heat vs Celtics) on: May 28, 2022, 01:04:41 PM
I'm pretty sure the Boston Celtics will now end the series later. Miami Heat already did their best but it's clear they can't stand a chance to bounce back in this series. Playing at the Celtics arena, the crowd will boost their strength to finally end the series. It will be Celtics vs Warriors in the Finals.
Unfortunately, they are not able to finish the series in game 6 which is too costly for them but of course there still a chance for them to take the championship but expect a more tough battle with Heat, especially now that game 7 will be the home court advantage of Heat. Celtics have to be more consistent this time, this is a do or die for them, it's been 12 years since Celtics enter into NBA Finals, I hope they will grab this opportunity and beat Heat again for one last time.

This match is really very costly for them because they have all the advantage on today's match to finish the series yet they can't stop Jimmy Butler to carry the Heat. Playing at enemy homecourt during the game 7 is a very tough to win if we consider how good Miami Heat at Home. I will bet on Miami this time since Jimmy Butler performance and the other starter is now good compared on the previous matches.

The improvement of Kyle Lowry is very noticeable because Butler is now have space to do easy shot.

There's no consistency in this series, one day a star will struggle but the next day he will be carrying his team to win. So I don't count the Celtics out already here, because we've seen this before the current series in the Bucks vs Celtics series when we thought Bucks will win but the Celtics still beat them although Bucks too a 3-2 lead first.

Celtics is a tough team also, in game 7, they will give everything they have because there's no tomorrow.
2072  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your NBA Champion this season? on: May 28, 2022, 12:26:00 PM
I love the Warriors to win, but 4-1 in the Finals, I think that's too much to ask. If the Warriors had some problem with the Memphis, I think there's no way we can underestimate their opponent, I think minimum 6, max is game 7.

It's possible to happen. Celtics and Heat are not consistent these playoffs compare to Golden State Warriors. There are lots of times this East team are having bad plays. In NBA Finals, it should not be like that as that's the final series already.

I'm thinking around 4-1 and 4-2 too but not it will turn out 4-3. Warriors in 5 and the reason is, they will try to celebrate a championship at their home. We are just guessing here but who knows Finals will be at Game 7. That was a good watch for us NBA Fans.

Lots of series now that went game 7, so I would not be surprised if we will see a game 7 in the Finals. The Warriors are a good team, they will be the favorites for sure, but they are not unbeatable based on what we saw in their previous series, especially their series against the Memphis. If only Morant was not injured, that series will surely went to game 7.

That's true, Memphis was the toughest opponent of the GSW so far, and I think it will happen again in the Finals since both Heat and Celtics are a good teams. The East is delaying the NBA Finals, LOL.. they have a game 7 and we will witness that because once again, I think it's going to be a close battle where physicallity will be present.
2073  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Davis vs Romero: May 28 on: May 28, 2022, 10:09:58 AM
Anyone has seen the video of Tank shoving Romero out of the stage that nearly started a brawl, Romero tried to bully Tank and Tank gets back by pushing Romero out of the stage when he turn his back, and both fighters heat up after the weigh-in and this is brewing to be a very exciting and interesting fight, I still have Tank winning the fight but still considering that an upset can happen, Romero is not a weak fighter if he landed his punches, Tank will be in trouble but so is Romero if Tank hit him first, it will go down on who can hit first.
Lol same old same old, when both boxers what to show their muscle... Tank always push his opponent to make the people and media to focus on him. I don't know why they have a large stage, but both boxer are meet really very close like doesn't have any space anymore lol. Although Romero wouldn't expect Tank to push him like that, but he seems doesn't have a good reflect since easily went down after it.
He went down because he wasn't expecting a push from Tank. Romero here is just playing a mind game, with no physical intervention as he believes it will only happen in the fight. What Tank did lacks action to create a brawl like Mayweather vs Paul. He might have learned from his promoter but he was not able to act effectively. Anyway, let's just see on who between these two warriors will win tomorrow, looks like we are going to witness a very exciting fight.
2074  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 28, 2022, 09:43:18 AM
Boston Celtics -8.5

This team can surely cover that spread. Miami Heat will have no answer once the Celtics began their continuous shooting streak. With the crowd cheering for the Celtics, the Heat will begin to distract as they are facing the elimination for the first time. They are more pressured to win and that might affect their status and momentum.

Better luck next time Miami Heat. The team did their best.

Heat said "NOT TODAY!".. nope man, they failed to cover and even lose the game. Butler had another great performance, he was so consistent from the start to finish and the Heat were able to even the series. So now, let's welcome to the game 7 of Eastern conference Finals, GL to the team we are cheering.

Yeah, they are a tough team, when we think the series is already over after the Heat's bad performance in game 5, now it looks like they are in the position to celebrate because they are playing at home in game 7. Personally, I still feel that it's very unpredictable, but a home team always has the edge in the close-out game.

Of course, home court advantage is a big advantage but what we are seeing in this series is that it seemed it's not working for the home teams. If we still remember,  Both teams have won twice on each other's home court, therefore we cannot expect that Heat will easily win in game 7. I think it's still going to end by a close scoring margin, and I hope the bets will be equally spread.
2075  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do sportsbook does not apply parlay on the same event? on: May 28, 2022, 06:14:19 AM
I'm just curious guys, I like to ask your opinion on why sportsbooks do not apply parlay on the same event. I remember when I was new to sports betting, one of the sites I'm using allowed it but now it's not possible anymore.

What do you think are the reasons for that?

Cos some sharp who has an edge over the book could turn any line into a +EV play and shift the odds in his favor.  But some books do allow it in football matches.  They're called 'bet builders' and there are combo bets available.  In MMA there are some props that act like you're doing parlay from a couple of lines into one bet like the fighter plus the method of winning.  But straight out you yourself picking which lines to parlay in the same match, no.  That's giving you, the guy who the book should be taking money from, too much of an advantage.

That's an interesting explanation, in short, they won't give the advantage to the bettors, they are the ones operating so they should be the ones who will be making a profit from the business. I'm not aware it's possible in other type of game, maybe becasue I don't do bet on football, or if I do, I just bet on the basic odds, the spread and the total.
2076  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 28, 2022, 05:30:06 AM
Awesome win by the Miami Heat 111-103. They surely wrecked the majority of the bettors, especially on the handicap.

This surprised me too and even think that the Celtics will now close the series. We can see that it's only Jimmy Butler who saves the day. There's really no problem with him regarding consistency but the team will go nowhere if they will just rely on Butler although a great hassle plays courtesy of his teammates during the last minutes. That was an exhausting game for Butler but good thing they have won.

Sudden-death next game at the FTX Arena, home of the Miami Heat. We will now see who will enter the NBA Finals to face the Golden State Warriors.

I guess everyone was betting on the Celtics that's why the spread is very high, but in the game, it was a different Heat that we are seeing, they are playing with sense of urgency and they played the right defense in order to win. Butler was really special, he was doing everything to win and now we will see a game 7.

So what's going to be the bet in game 7? home team or road team?

2078  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: An advice for Crypto Investing on: May 27, 2022, 09:27:50 PM
Those that are investing all that they've got are looking at it like a lottery ticket.

But, it's still important to remember that there's a need for them to do not push themselves that far. Because as they invest, they're taking the risk that they might not even take in the future.

And if they insist, well, it's their money and investment and only them and losses can stop them.
Crypto investing need not to be in rush to make profits. So you don't need to put everything you have just because it could bring you huge amount of profits in the future. But what if you lose? Investing comes with gains and loss, and losing is inevitable. So be cautious when putting your money, where and what to invest. And for you to free yourself from worries and regrets, only invest an amount you can afford to lose. Otherwise, investing like gambling may only cause troubles in the future.
2079  Economy / Economics / Re: What happens if BTC's price falls to $8,000? on: May 27, 2022, 08:48:40 PM
A big panic from people Grin
That may happen to them, especially for small and medium investors who already bought bitcoin at a high price and in the market, there will be a panic sell from them.
But the big investor will be happy to buy bitcoin at that price because the price is lower and they might not see that in the next year.
But after the price reaches the lowest price, sooner or later, the price will bounce and start the rally.
Probably that's how it goes for all those newbies and those who never realize that this bear market brings a good opportunity to invest. Well, if there is a huge price fall back, then i would be spending a big amount to buy a lot of bitcoin to satisfy myself with the profits it will offer to me in the near future. I'm not going to panic as i have come to realize that if you chose to be a long-term hodler, free yourself from doubts and never be bothered by the crypto prices ups and downs. That makes me live in peace.
2080  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The bitcoin price drop is an excellent time to buy bitcoins on: May 27, 2022, 07:19:45 PM
Bitcoin price drop certainly provide an opportunity to buy bitcoin. But I wont suggest you to invest all your life savings right away. Currently forces like Russia war and US rate changes along with ban by china and possibility of ban by Russia is plaquing the bitcoin economy. These economical factors will surely get resolved, but it will take some time. Yes I guess if you are thinking of a long term investment. You can invest a part of your money, and in very long run your grand children will thank you for investing in bit coin, but please ensure you pass on the keys
If you are into bitcoin, i think there's not other best moment to accumulate more bitcoin than to see its own price drops every now and then.  Although it gets scared and panic for all those who bought bitcoin at a higher price, but as long as they did not sell their bitcoin, losses are still on hold. However, this is certainly a big opportunity for us, not that we only get to buy more bitcoin, but everything in the crypto market becomes cheap and are very affordable since bitcoin still creates a big influence on the whole crypto market.
