1101  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 13, 2023, 01:34:27 AM
What chances does Bulls have tonight ? They are playing in 20 minutes against Raptors and even if Bulls didn't had a great season , they surely had great performances especially against good teams like Celtics , Lakers or even Bucks. Raptors on the other hand ...it's hard to know exactly what to expect from them because they had games with 130 points but also games with 85+- so it really depends if they will put up the work in defense or they will let a free game which pretty much is an advantage for Bulls.

Odds are also favoring Raptors by a mile...

So far, it's been all Raptors. I thought the Bulls would be competitive, as this is a do-or-die game for them, but the home team has been dominant, and the spread looks like it will be easily covered. Fred VanVleet has been shooting red-hot beyond the arc, and he is definitely one of the reasons for the Raptors' big win.

The Bulls have taken the lead now. They changed the tempo of the game in the second half, and they could win this game and play the Miami Heat. Lavine had a great second half, and he now has a high confidence level attacking the paint. It's still uncertain who will win, as there's plenty of time left, and the game is still very close. Good luck to the bettors, anyway.
1102  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 13, 2023, 01:13:10 AM

Toronto Raptors vs Chicago Bulls = Chicago Bulls Win 2,94 Odds.

My Chicago Bulls bet is risky, but I believe Chicago Bulls will win.

Good luck all.

I like this one. Yes, betting on the Bulls is risky, but that's where the excitement of the game comes in. The Bulls are now coming back, as they were able to trim their deficit to single digit only. Who knows? We might see an upset in this game.

Raptors lead by 5 points now.
1103  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: April 12, 2023, 06:34:57 AM
If Inoue experiences his first loss in this fight, it would be appropriate for him to ask for a rematch and try to reclaim his status. As for Fulton, he will surely not say no because this is a big fight and winning against a superstar like Inoue would mean a significant boost to his career and earnings in boxing. Anyone who can beat Inoue will likely enjoy a successful career in the sport.
Take a look with Bivol as an example, he already defend his WBA belt for many times and he's nothing for many people. After he able to defend his belt against Canelo, he's included in 10 P4P boxing, his power rate is higher than Beterbiev, and everyone consider Bivol is an one of strongest boxer in the world.

Inoue currently top 2 P4P boxing, of course Fulton will be included in top 10 P4P boxing too if he able to beat Inoue.

Yeah, definitely. So, most likely this is a shortcut for a bigger success, that's why he does not move up and instead faces Inoue, who is a very popular boxer. I like his confidence too as he believes he can beat Inoue, even though we haven't seen Inoue having trouble with his opponents in boxing. Well, the closest one was against Donaire in their first meeting, but he still won that fight.

So, it's a big opportunity for Fulton, and he would like to take advantage of that opportunity now.
1104  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 12, 2023, 06:11:17 AM
Well, we almost got 2 surprise home losses, almost.

Too bad Timberwolfes couldn't pull it off even though they were leading by as many as 15 in the middle of the 3rd and 10 at the beginning of the 4th. Really bad game from Edwards. Sad
The Timberwolves had a very good 3-point shooting in the 1st half, but it was lost in the 2nd half. I think the problem was KAT getting into early foul trouble. He was limited in the 2nd half, which gave the Lakers a chance to come back. A team like the Wolves, with a lack of playoff experience, will never advance to a higher level as they were pretty much exposed in this game.

Atlanta winning in Miami was rather surprising. Miami dug a deep hole in the first half where they couldn't get out of. Lucky for Miami they have another shot vs the Raptors or the Bull. If they face the Raptors this might be the exit for them, against the Bulls I think they will advance.

Excited for tomorrow to see the other 2 games. Anything can happen!

Yeah, it's not surprising to me as Trae Young is really good in the playoffs. Look how he played; he was very focused and they were playing with great chemistry. Personally, I would not be surprised if they upset the Celtics in the first round.
1105  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: April 11, 2023, 01:06:56 PM
We can only expect a rematch if it's written in the contract. And since it was not announced that there was something like that, we should not expect a rematch. However, it still depends on the outcome of this fight. If the outcome is controversial and this fight sells to the crowd, promoters would love to make a rematch as they'll make more money from it. The fighters just have to follow the orders from their promoters.

Even there's a rematch clause, I'm sure the loser of this fight will not request it.

Inoue, if lose, will just wait again for this turn to be in the title match. Fulton, if loses here, will just move up to the original plan and vacate his titles.  But let's see if there will be any rematch that will happen once they finished and settle this fight. We should not think about that for now.

EDIT: I tried to look for any article that can somehow show us if there's a rematch clause on their contract but found nothing.

If Inoue experiences his first loss in this fight, it would be appropriate for him to ask for a rematch and try to reclaim his status. As for Fulton, he will surely not say no because this is a big fight and winning against a superstar like Inoue would mean a significant boost to his career and earnings in boxing. The odds for game two are out early, and as of now, TNT is the favorite with 1.61 odds or -3.5 using the spread. I have a feeling that TNT will win here and will cover the spread. This kind of spread is very attractive to Ginebra fans, and if we want to see this series go longer, then TNT should even the series in game 2. My bet would be TNT -3.5.
1107  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 5 Things I've learned day trading Bitcoin for 3 years (successfully) on: April 10, 2023, 09:59:26 PM

4. Listen to industry influencers but form your own opinion on the long-term direction. Industry influencers can offer valuable insights, but blindly following their advice is a mistake. It's essential to conduct independent research and form your own opinions about the market's long-term direction.

Yes this is a good idea to listen influencers but always do what you think that it is right because we don't know that a person who give us information is really an influencer or not hence we know that people can do this activity for the sake of money only but actually they have no concern with day trading.

Sometimes Influencers spread information and these information have direct impact on the cost of certain selected coins and may be they do it just because they have a greater concern with such coins.

So it will be better to just listen to them and then think that what will be better because after sometime your knowledge will be enhances so you can take your own decisions.

We won’t never know who are those influencers that are reliable and who are not, until we take time listening to them. Some influencers are just promoting their projects because that’s exactly where they can gain an income, while others have really shown genuine compassion to their listeners or viewers that’s why they will only say the realities in trading. At the end of the day, the final decision is all yours to make. With your knowledge and experiences gained throughout the process, I can say that you will greater chances to succeed in trading.
1108  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rigged Game on: April 10, 2023, 09:43:16 PM
I just thought I would be unlucky if I lost many games and wouldn't blame the casino because it was my own fault. Also, I only play in trusted casinos so I would not believe that they are cheating the players and taking the money, even if it is a small amount of money.

There might be a way of knowing that a casino is cheating or honest but I don't know how. If you play at a casino suspected of cheating its members, you may also be suspicious of the casino.
Probably, if cheating is done by the players, and they consider it, most likely the casino itself is cheating too but I also think there’s really a way how to detect that the game is rigged or the casino is cheating, we just don’t know it but maybe in the future it will be certain and known. However, if you want to avoid experiencing these rigged games, then play on the most popular and reputable casino, for sure every game is following its transparency and fair system.
1109  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the government can really make a way to end poverty or it depends on us? on: April 08, 2023, 03:04:12 PM
In my country i observed so many people doing rally and blame the government why the basic needs price rise and the salary is still very low and not enough for daily expenses, is this the effect of the Ukraine and russia war that makes the gas or crude oil so high at price and they pass the gas expenses to the product and it ends to very high price of the basic needs that make us very poor, I see government has a move to resolve the problem but many people are still blaming the government.
I believe the government has a very big role in  poverty eradication. In fact, they are proposing a lot of programs if not to end but at least to lessen poverty, but the question is when will these programs be put into action? And can they be sustainable enough to eradicate poverty in the long run? The clear answer to this is that no one can help the people but only theirselves. If they won’t search for a job and work, they will forever remain poor and continue struggling to make a living. Though government provides assistance but they’re just good temporarily, at the end of the day the people should be responsible to get to work so they can provide the basic needs of their family even without relying from the government.
1110  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Effective Approaches to Trading Cryptocurrencies for Profit on: April 08, 2023, 02:06:11 PM
@OP and every newbie that desires to be a profitable trader, you can do it until you test and have an experience about what actually it is.

Most traders are losing money than profiting. Even the best of the best can't avoid to lose money because that's how trading works, there will be winners and there will be the losers and that's a normal exchange in the market.

Yeah, easy to say all of those reminders whoever and wherever is the source of it. But if you come into the actuality of what trading really is, you'll get hard time doing it.
That’s why trading is hard and risky, and even though those steps seem easy to follow, but definitely if you are in real trading, you will realize that they’re just easy being said than done, and I think long time traders would surely agree to that. The reason why newbies should never decide to trade if they are not well knowledgeable and highly skilled in trading, otherwise they will just lose their money and waste their time. Though losing is part of trading, but you know you can avoid consistent losing if you trade with knowledge and skills.
1111  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't be greedy – a short goose story on: April 08, 2023, 12:19:29 PM
That's a very interesting story with good moral lesson you have there, as it teaches about the importance of being patient in the midst of both hard and difficult times. Because just as the owner of the goose couldn't wait a single day for it to lay a new egg and sell, so do we have some individuals in the crypto world just like that, who thou wishes to enjoy the bull profit of Bitcoin, but yet can't afford to withstand whenever there is a slight bear market, but rushes to sell their coins at cheap price and later go about regretting.
So I hope with this story by O.P, newbies and other forum members, will be able to understand that patience is a virtue, and as such never let your emotions lead your actions.

Yes, you were very right then. Not just in crypto but in all types of investments, patience is of high necessity. With patience, you will never be led to wrong decision making and lose everything you have, because you always chose to weigh things first and if its right, then that’s the time you will follow the go signal. Just like in bitcoin, everything is done perfectly for long term, so if you lost your patience along the way and decide to take shortcuts, you will never be successful in the end but only lose your future profits.
1112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you consider yourself as a risk taker if you buy bitcoin? on: April 08, 2023, 11:52:12 AM
Taking risks involves uncertainty about the future. We cannot predict with certainty whether we will gain or lose money. While we don't always need to delve into the specifics, it's important to understand that taking risks means putting our funds at stake. It's akin to playing a game, where some individuals come out on top, while others suffer losses. As I cannot accurately forecast the direction of prices, I consider myself a risk-taker.
If it means buying bitcoin is risk taking, then I myself is a risk taker too. But the good thing about bitcoin is the more you are aware of its risks and the bigger risk you take, the higher probability you will be more profitable. That’s why even if buying and hodling bitcoin is risky, there are still a lot of bitcoin enthusiasts who would love to embrace the risk and consider it as the means to become successful and profitable in the future.
1113  Economy / Economics / Re: How Long in Years Should I Wait Before I Close Down an Unprofitable Business on: April 08, 2023, 11:25:45 AM
~snipped~
I agree with you, there's no way I will keep investing in a business when am not making profit from the business even after three years that's crazy you know
Yeah, it's crazy. I believe keeping such a non-profit yielding business for that long is hoping against hope. It's the same thing a sore trader would do to a losing trade. Instead of closing it, they would rather allow the loss run deep in the hope that the trade would revert to profit. I don't think any seriously minded businessman would want to keep a business that's not making them any profit to run that long as three years. Except that person is a money-miss-road and that's certainly not business.
I guess if your mindset is like that, you are not molding yourself to become a good businessman but certainly a loser in the end. That is why if you are seeing your business not productive anymore, even if you apply all your skills and strategies to make a business prosper, then it’s better to accept the reality that you’ll never be profitable anymore and closing your business would be the best option. Otherwise, the longer you decide to keep the operation, the bigger the losses you will incur, and definitely if you’re a good businessman, you’re not going to like it.
1114  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Before You Go All In on: April 07, 2023, 09:54:01 PM
Those are good advises. Someone may think that it's too much but that's the reality in trading, you may expect to get some profits in the future but you have to go through with a lot of pain before going there.

And that's all about losing more, you'll have a lot of pains and losses before going to those successful trades.

That's why before going there, you need to prepare yourself not just emotionally but also financially and that's the real thing in trading unless you only want to try it with little money.
And before you go all in, you have to start trading first at a good and minimal amount and accept the fact that at some point you have to lose so you can gain after. And while trading is known as a good source of profits, but it won’t happen instantly. You have to learn and master it the hard way, even if it means consistent losses at first, so you will be profitable the rest of your trading experience.
1115  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to convince a sceptical person to buy Bitcoin ? on: April 07, 2023, 09:23:13 PM
Although within this community Bitcoin is practically the only currency in which everyone believes, just look around a bit and we will find thousands of people who think otherwise.
At this point I wonder, what reasons should we give these people to make them realise that Bitcoin is a right choice? The first argument that comes to mind to convince a person who is sceptical about Bitcoin, is first of all that with Bitcoin you no longer need to delegate the custody of your money to a third party (banks, mutual funds, etc.): you are the master and you hold them. What else would you add?
There’s nothing to prove to any skeptical person as he/she will never agree and has its own criticism at the end of the day. That’s why I never dare to convince people about bitcoin from the very start. If they are interested with bitcoin, I know they’ll find a way how to educate theirselves but if they don’t want to engage with bitcoin, they’ll always have their reasons why they don’t believe in it.
1116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: April 07, 2023, 01:41:02 AM
I read that Errol Spence Jr. is about to fight Terrence Crawford on June 17, 2023, it is still not officially announced but leaks and rumors are everywhere.  Does this fight between Spence Jr. and Thurman si bound not to happen?  I search the internet but still no official announcement or final agreement on this fight between Keith and Spence.  The latest news I got about this fight is this:

Quote
Undefeated unified welterweight champion, Errol Spence Jr. and former unified champ, Keith Thurman, are scheduled to clash in a yet-to-be-announced PBC on PPV event in April.

ESPN's Mike Coppinger was the first to report the news of the matchup being in the works, and that the fight will be a junior middleweight bout. Spence Jr. who currently holds the WBA, WBC, and IBF welterweight titles was granted a "special permit" from WBA President, Gabriel Mendoza, to fight outside of the weight class without having to relinquish his titles. He will then according to Mendoza have 60 days from his fight with Thurman to negotiate a deal with undefeated WBO welterweight champion, Terence Crawford, for a highly anticipated undisputed welterweight showdown.

Is there any other source where we can affirm that this fight between Keith Thurman and Errol Spence Jr. will happen?

it is already April, and seems that the match between spence jr and thurman didn't push thru. high likely that his fight with crawford will happen this coming June. because if there will be thurman fight, they should be heavily promoting it, but nothing of that sort from the news. we don't know what's stopping them but maybe spence jr is also very cautious to whom he will fight with.

They haven't made a formal announcement yet, so I don't think the fight will happen this June. After the announcement, they will need to start training and promoting the fight, which is a very short time to accomplish those tasks. Most likely, the fight will happen in the third quarter of this year, assuming it will push through.
1117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: April 07, 2023, 12:59:49 AM

For me, predicting the winner of the first game of this series is so hard because like I have said before that this is a 50-50 series and either team could become a champion so I'll just wait for the result and bet on game2 as the loser will surely adjust and have the high chance of winning game2.

That's right, it may be a good strategy to bet on the team that lost in game 1, and then double down if they still lose in game 2. For sure, no team in this series will have an advantage of 3-0. This series will likely be a close one in my opinion, and it could potentially go to game 7 as the crowd loves to support Ginebra, and maybe they will take the game in the Philippine Arena again.
1118  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do women engage in crypto trading on: April 06, 2023, 08:17:05 PM
Most persons may say no but YES is the actual answer
In the ideal sense the dominance of crypto currencies by women is in great progress. Bitcoin is  the most popular crypto currency and therefore a currency of such will be dominated either now or in the future.
Women engage in crypto currency transactions also like men do the reason you may feel they don't is because those that don't have not much idea about it.
There are no gender restrictions for trading, and therefore, it can be done by both women and men.

I know only male traders (from public ones), but this doesn't mean at all that there are no women in the crypto space. I don't have much idea about trading by women, but you seem to have. Could you tell us about it if you bring up this topic?
What men can do today, women too are also capable which means if men can trade well with crypto, women too are also trying their best to excel in crypto. As there is no gender restrictions in trading, so both men and women can equally engage in crypto trading and succeed as well. Though it’s seldom to see women engaging in crypto, but I don’t think they still have to come out in the market so their efforts will be recognized. I believe traders should do it privately, so no need to expose their genders when trading.
1119  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: April 06, 2023, 12:41:24 PM
Spence's camps might bring reasons to cancel the schedule and left Crawford hanging again for his desire for a mega fight.

Spence needs to step up and stop playing games. If his fight against Thurman is canceled, he needs to take on a bigger challenge. The only option for him is Crawford. This fight has been uncertain from the start, as it is a non-title fight and probably not mandatory, which is different from what was previously reported.

Yeah,I remembered that it supposedly a mandatory fight between Spence and Thurman but become a non-title fight which really favoring Spence and now the fight might be cancelled as if I recall it right there's also a negotiation between Spence and Crawford not sure if which fight will take place as Spence's camps are really playing their cards.

For sure, they will take an easy route with decent compensations. We just need to wait for any updates and see if Spence will fight
either Thurman or Crawford, or they will take another fighter.

This is great news for boxing if both champions will fight, but unfortunate for Thurman who was hoping for a high-profile bout. Thurman could have saved his career by defeating a champion, but now it appears that he may be left behind if Spence and Crawford finalize the contract.

I hope this time around the split will not be an issue.
1120  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: April 06, 2023, 11:55:40 AM
I believe a spread of -2.5 for Ginebra would be reasonable. It's already tempting, and they should be able to cover that if they win.

The last time they played, I think the odds for the money line were almost even, or TNT was a slight favorite, if I recall correctly. So, there's no reason to change that, as TNT won their last meeting, making them likely the favorite in game 1. The odds will probably change after the game. Sometimes, it's difficult to predict how bookmakers set the odds. For example, if TNT is the slight favorite in game 1 and they win, do you think they will have the same spread in game 2? No, because Ginebra will likely be the favorite in game 2.
