1161  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: March 24, 2023, 06:07:53 AM
Ginebra -2 and over 215.5. I think this is a good bet, considering it's the first game and, if I recall correctly, the team that wins game 1 wins the series most of the time. I also bet on the over because I'm sure it's going to be a close game, and since both teams love to shoot from outside and drive the ball, they could easily get into foul trouble while also scoring points from the outside, so it will likely result in going over the point total.
It's easy to take advantage of the odds and make easy money. In Game 1 bet on Ginebra, they are favored by -2 points, and if they lose, you can simply double down in Game 2. There's no way Ginebra will lose twice, and if there is any suspicion of rigging, the referees will likely help them to win by a comfortable margin. That's why I believe it's "easy".
1162  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel selling your BTC against your plans? on: March 22, 2023, 10:26:44 PM
The actual level of urgency can be measured, for example if it's about something that threatens health or even life (either yourself or someone else's), then the market situation is no longer a major consideration for spending bitcoins.
When the benefits of money that you save for the future or unexpected things are properly realized, I think you won't really regret it.
True. You will never think anymore about losing or gaining in the future once there are emergency cases suddenly happen. You will only think on that moment on how to survive, and if it’s selling your coins would be the only option, then never hesitate to sell. Though the feelings to sell when it is against your plans is somewhat disappointing or devastating, but what is most important here is you can help to save someone out of danger, and when that happens, you will never regret as long as you do the right thing.
1163  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Never Trade on Emotions on: March 22, 2023, 09:50:34 PM
I call them panic traders. Panic traders are those who want to get rich quickly by coming to new training and are always afraid of bad market conditions. They trade without understanding the market conditions and after a while when the market starts to go down they think that their money will run out. Then they panic. And then they  again buy and sell again which keeps them in constant panic. Which is not true. Trading the market definitely requires a lot of patience.
Sometimes don't blame whoever that is into buying and selling or investing in short term, I believe that bitcoin have a fluctuations measure which put fears in the mind of short term investors, sometimes they panic because they capital using to trade is basically borrowed one, so they are inquisitive to make profit at any point in time, and they panic to sell because they are curious to recover the funds lend to start up buying and selling of cryptocurrency and especially bitcoin precisely.
I believe with the high volatility and price fluctuations of cryptocurrencies most particularly with bitcoin, even how old and veteran you are in crypto trading, there’s always a piece of us that will panic and become bothered especially when prices are experiencing sharp decline. Most especially if you invest or trade with borrowed funds, as long as the market never becomes stable, your emotions no matter how you control it will always be affected and compromised.
1164  Economy / Gambling / Re: How succesful will AI projects be to win the house? on: March 22, 2023, 09:32:52 PM
In the long run, you can not win the house. The chance you can be lucky and win big to become rich will always be less than 1% while in long time, the house will always be the winner.

Just as it has been advised several times, gamble for just fun.
There’s always less or no chances to beat the house and take an edge, even if you make use of potential AI projects as they can never be reliable especially in gambling where every outcomes is uncertain and can never be predicted. Luck is all you need when you gamble, expect for some sports that actually require skills to win. That is why gambling should never be considered a source of living or income even if you apply the best AI projects.
1165  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My Bitcoin Advice for newbies on: March 22, 2023, 09:16:09 PM

1: First newbies, please don't be deceived, bitcoin is not a
    get rice scheme

No matter how long this advice is sounded in the ears of the new commerce they will also have the mindset of getting rich quick through Bitcoin.
There are some mistakes that are inevitable for newcomers and they would not rest unless they make the mistakes themselves. Learning from other people's mistake is something that doesn't happen often with new commers.

Most of the people that leaves cryptocurrency space disappointed are people that were supposed to get rich quick within the few months of getting into Bitcoin.
I always tell the newcomers that those who became super rich through bitcoin are few of them that adopted bitcoin when it was worth nothing.
For now you cannot make big fortune through bitcoin unless you are ready to invest a huge amount of money and wait for the minimum of five years
It’s never undeniable that most of the newbies still invest for bitcoin in pursuit for quick and huge profits. We can’t blame them because almost all the ads about bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in the internet deal with huge amount of money. So they always have the mindset that if they enter bitcoin investment most especially with huge amount of capital, they will make good returns that will pave way to achieve their wealth and become financially free in the future.
1166  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can old trading strategies work again? on: March 22, 2023, 08:59:46 PM
Thinking about how trading strategies need to always be changed and how one strategy may not work for a long time, what do you do with the strategy that you are about to change. do you just forget about it completely once a new strategy starts working for you? or do you keep it in remembrance for the future. If you have experienced this before; has any old trading strategy that you decided to apply work for you? Is it possible that old strategies may work in the future again?
Yes, old strategies should never be outdated and should always be constantly changed if needed. That is because the market is also making a constant change, so strategies should also adopt whatever the market condition is. However, old strategies might still be used in the future as they never become obsolete. But only the market condition will tell if one will work or not, so you need to keep on updating or retesting it again and again.
1167  Economy / Economics / Re: Has anyone felt lost in pursuit of financial freedom ? on: March 22, 2023, 08:46:00 PM
Actually life is the name of hard work you have to work more and more, sometimes you will win and sometimes you will loss and I think that there is no one who will says that this money is enough now he will not earn more but instead every individual wants to make more money than this.

Getting boring with money earning is not possible but a man become bore when he tries to make money and he failed regularly.  Money is important for life activities but losing your everything for money does not sound good. A man who have more money will still desires to choose better way to earn extra income because people never get bored of getting money.
Man in nature has no life’s satisfaction nor contentment, especially when money is involved. He will always want to chase for more opportunities to gain more money so he can earn more until financial stability is achieved. Although we can’t say the process is all smooth, as there are some pitfalls along the road, but if it’s for money, man will do everything until he eventually feel lost in pursuit of financial freedom. And that’s when we start thinking if man lives for money, or man should live for happiness. Because the reality is, we only feel the happiness inside when everything is good especially with money matters.
1168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Teaching teenagers about bitcoin. on: March 21, 2023, 09:59:28 PM
I have had the same initiative from a different user before who may also be from the same country as you. They teach kids about bitcoin, it's school age and also teach some potential traders in church or different places. I've never known what the motives behind this initiative are, but if you really want to teach these kids about bitcoin with genuine intentions, then you have every right to earn their proud title of teacher someday.

It's good to get lots of users taking the initiative to spread information about bitcoin even as they reach more students, but I hope this never gets in the way of their interest in learning what should not be at a more advanced stage about technologies like bitcoin.
This is a good initiative OP as teens will always be interested in different innovations especially if it’s dealing about latest technology. I just hope that through your attempt to educate them, they will get clearly the real intention of bitcoin, and not the other way like they will consider it as a get-rich-quick scheme. And hopefully, learning earlier about bitcoin will create more positive initiatives on part of them on how to take advantage and take part on the evolution of bitcoin.
1169  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Will you advice a new trader to join a trading community or group? on: March 21, 2023, 09:45:06 PM
As a trader, things can get difficult and discouraging if you cannot relate with any other person who will have a good understanding of what you are saying concerning trading, to solve that challenge, are you part of any trading community or group that you share tips and new strategies? What other ways can you say you have benefited from being in a community asides sharing of tips and strategies. Are you doing better than when you did things on your own. Can there be any major disadvantage being a member of such a trading groups? What is your advice to people?
That’s a good advantage for me, since new traders would gain more knowledge and improve their crafts when they receive tips and ideas from other long time traders. And it will help them develop transparency and flexibility when it comes to overcoming different problems that most traders face in the market. As long as they develop their own strategies from scratch, I think that will definitely work for them.
1170  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do You Feel Inadequate or Inspired After Watching These Types of Traders Content on: March 20, 2023, 09:58:23 PM
As a small bitcoin trader, I feel intimidated rather than inspired when watch certain YouTube or Social Media titles or content like "Day in the Life of a Young Millionaire Trader in Dubai" or "Day In The Life of a 23 Year Old Making $10,000 a Day", or "A Day In The Life of a Crypto Trader" etc. They feature young millionaire traders in beautiful places or traders who make thousands of dollars and to be honest, it creates a feeling of inadequacy or distress in me because I am yet to reached those levels of success yet. However, I have begun to avoid them and what I do is to focus on my own trading goals and aspirations. As a small bitcoin trader, have you ever felt intimidated, distressed, inadequate or inspired after watching these types of videos or content?
I guess there’s no reason for me to feel intimidated about it. Instead, I just try to avoid these types of contents because I know that trading is not working that way. Though you can be a millionaire in trading, but the process is very hard and risky. You could lose thousands at first or even millions, before you will be a profitable trader and live a luxurious life. Trading is certainly hard, that’s why we should learn it the hard way.
1171  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Introducing bitcoin to local communities/villagers on: March 20, 2023, 09:45:25 PM
It's good that you like your community to be knowledgeable in crypto, but it is too risky to start investing even trading if you don't have stable source of income or job. It is better to establish job first that can hire the people in the community and teach them the value of budgeting and saving. Once their earning it is the time for them to learn how to invest and to trade knowing that even if the market isn't in good contion they will still have money to spend for their needs since they have job and savings.
True. I suggest you educate the people first before you convince them to invest or trade. And never let them invest or trade for greed, they will surely regret later on. Also, if they don’t have stable jobs that can provide their main source of income, how are they going to invest or trade? It’s a very risky decision to convince people about taking advantage on bitcoin when they have no knowledge at all, and they have no stable source of income that will finance in their bitcoin investing or trading.
1172  Economy / Gambling / Re: they are scamming us? on: March 18, 2023, 02:49:02 PM
Casinos are just like every other business and at they will easily set the system to support only themselves and protect the interest of the casino's revenue generation is the primary aim of casinos so at that it will be better if we have the mindset of losing to the house but not all the time.
Accepting reality allows us to be realistic all the time. The problem for some of us is that we think we can beat the casino. That's why when we lose, we tend to become emotional and cannot accept it. Chasing our losses can lead to losing everything we have, especially if we gamble what we cannot afford to lose.

In gambling, winning is not an everyday occurrence. That's why it's important to control our emotions, especially when we experience losses, as regrets often follow. If we cannot learn from our mistakes, we should not blame the casino for scamming us because that is unfair.

My opinion is based on the assumption that we are talking about a legitimate casino.
1173  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: March 18, 2023, 12:36:40 PM
Yes, Tank Davis is the favorite but I think forum users also might go for Garcia by an upset.

Because we all know that this two can put each other on the canvass.

There are some who believe that Ryan Garcia can win this fight. It's common to see the favorites have a lot of supporters, but we can never know for sure. Both fighters are KO artists, so anything can happen in the ring. As long as both are preparing well for this fight, it will be unpredictable.

My advice is to just enjoy the fight, watch it, and don't forget to bet.

However, if you are looking for very attractive betting odds, then the only way to go is to bet on Ryan Garcia.
1174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: March 18, 2023, 11:33:19 AM
Converge winning the first game might be the biggest upset that they can do IMO, but to win against SMB? I also doubt if they can.
Maybe if Jamal were still their import, there would be a chance they could win. But with a new import, I don't know. They will have to start building chemistry again and make big adjustments, and against SMB, that won't work.

In fact, I don't think Converge's import is of better quality than SMB's import, so even without JMF, I doubt Converge can win a game. The best they can do, in my opinion, is to win the first half, but it will be SMB who takes over after that.
There's no question about Jamal Franklin's individual talent, however, the management could not tolerate his attitude anymore as he was not a team player. You know, Converge loves to run and move the ball, which did not happen when Franklin was on the floor. Although they understand it will be hard for them to win with the new import, it is what it is. They were just unfortunate with their old import

We will see the outcome tomorrow as they play the first game. SMB has the twice-to-beat advantage, so let's see what will happen. As for the betting spread, I see that Converge is +8.5. Any takers on those odds? Remember that SMB is still playing without JMF, so this spread could be too much for them.

1176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Shuichiro Yoshino April 8 on: March 18, 2023, 06:50:09 AM

Yes, ML is not that attractive considering that Shakur Stevenson is listed as heavy favorite by the bookies and certainly, you need to put a lot of funds for that moneyline before you can even consider the profits of your wager but putting a lot of funds into unattractive odds have a lot of risks entailed and surely nobody wanted that risks even if you're a bigtime gambler. I reckon that the Shakur win via KO/TKO might be much more profitable to bet since Shakur's ratio is just below 50 percent, let's just wait for another options in the weeks to come.

Shakur is a class fighter and we want to see him in big fights that will be considered a legacy fight after he hurdles this fight his handlers should secure a million-dollar legacy fights something like a Garcia - Davis fights or a Haney - Lomachenko.
this fight obviously lacks attention from the media because it's a cherry-picked fight its eclipsed by big fights but it's good that the fight will come early before big fights of the year.
All bookies will favor Shakur, it will shock the boxing world if he loses this fight.

That's just sad on their part because their bout has been scheduled on the same month where the big fights are also scheduled, furthermore, there's just less people who takes an interest on looking at this fight because aside from this is Shakur's debut at 135, he is also partnered with a name that isn't really famous to be viewed as an acid test to the former champion. Maybe the next fight will be favored for Shakur as it's speculated that he is about to face the winner of Haney-Loma fight.

Exactly, he won't get a lot of viewership on this one, but a win here will add another success to his career. Eventually, he'll meet a great challenger that fans will be excited to watch. It will be a fight that is hard to predict on who will win. Hopefully, he'll be up for a big challenge, as boxers who play it safe can be boring.
1177  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 17, 2023, 03:28:10 PM
Will the Nuggets finally win this one on the road against the Pistons?
4 games losing streak. I think it should be the time to break it and bring their confidence back before the playoffs come. 13 games remaining and with them losing more, their fans are probably not happy about the bad results.

Another team that had been on the rough path was Phoenix Suns. After KD was injured they had been losing their games. 3rd losing streak against the Bucks but later they will be up against the Orlando Magic. This is the Suns' home so I bet they will be playing better in front of their home crowd.

Nuggets win the game and break their losing streak against Piston, a double digit deficit that for sure gives the bettor who takes the spread wins, A full forced Nuggets in a good performance.

That's something that for sure, an opponent will be hard to handle. Adding another win to continue securing the
top spot on the westside and securing a good spot in the playoff.

Wow, that was an easy win for them! They totally stayed focused this time and crushed it with a huge lead. Jokic did his thing and led the team to victory, almost getting a triple double with just one more assist needed. Everyone chipped in and the scoring was spread out, which is awesome. Hopefully, this is just the start of their winning streak, even though the Pistons aren't a big challenge. It's still a great start for the team!

Yes, it was a one-sided game since the game commenced as the Nuggets showed how dangerous they are when they are all serious to win any games. I just hope that they showed the same performance when they faced the Raptors on the road just recently because if they just focused on the game just like earlier, that same game is really winnable to their favor but that didn't happened as they kept on making mistakes. In the 4th quarter, they began to get serious but it was already too late as they couldn't keep up with the Raptors anymore.
1178  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: March 17, 2023, 02:57:26 PM
It is absolutely crazy to me that half the people in this thread voted for Thurman to beat Spence.
This is going to be one of the biggest mismatches we've seen.
Thurman can't take body shots, he hates fighting at a fast pace and I don't think he can fight in the pocket particularly well.
I have researched this fight extensively and I can't see one way that Thurman beats Spence.
I think Spence stops Thurman in the 9th round.

"What's wrong with that? We vote based on our personal opinion, and while you might be right with your statement, it's better to be honest. I know Spence is a great boxer and a heavy favorite against Thurman, but that cannot change our decision. Let's just see the outcome of the fight and whether our expectations are met.

And it's probably some of us here are against Spence though, I mean with how he manage himself in the negotiations and failed to make a fight with Crawford. So many become anti-Spence and most likely they voted for Thurman to win.

So yeah, we have our own opinions, and most likely they will have to stick wit it for Thurman.

But I do agree that Spence has the upperhand here, and he will be the betting favorite.

He's the bookies favorite and according to stats he got the upper-hand, but we also need to understand that in this sport, upset can bring decent profits for those who love taking the big risk.

If luck permits and Thurman beat Spence, then the winning odd for those who believe
will be sweet.

That's normal because Thurman is almost viewed as a heavy underdog in this fight, so it is also expected that his odds will be that juicy especially the payout if ever Thurman will be successful on this fight. But we should stick to the chances because even if we hate Spence so much for ducking Crawford, let's not forget who truly have the upper hand and taking this fight at 154 might have another reasons aside from the fact that Spence have no belts to risk.
1179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs John Ryder - May 6th in Mexico on: March 17, 2023, 02:13:19 PM
I don't see how John Ryder would possibly upset Canelo. I'm interested at how the Ryder team would set a game plan that would deal Canelo an unexpected loss. Although this is a huge opportunity for their fighter, they will surely be challenged at the odds in front of them. They've got nothing to lose, yeah, but winning is just too big to simply disregard.

So far, the odds I've seen has Canelo at -1450 and John at +770. That's practically saying John doesn't stand a chance. To be honest, I'm seeing a KO victory for Canelo, but I'd be happy if John would give everybody a shock.

As some would say, this is a tune-up fight so somehow, it is already expected that Canelo's foe won't be that strong to try and get his belts.

It might be sad to say but John Ryder's sole reason why he is picked for this specific fight is to keep Canelo warmed up before fighting Bivol in their possible rematch and not to challenge Canelo or be an acid test if he can still dance on the ring. John Ryder's record is enough to consider that he's not that good.
1180  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: March 17, 2023, 01:53:33 PM

It's really different when you are in the ring with Inoue, specially if you taste his power for the first time. And this is what happen to Butler, he try to be aggressive early by then again, when Inoue caught him with a good punch, Butler back up.
"That's right, we have seen many times in his fights that his opponents end up outmatched. Actually, it was only Donaire who gave him some kind of trouble in their first fight. But, I'm sure Inoue has learned a lot from that experience, and he is now a more mature boxer, with a more technical strategy.

So hopefully this is not going to be the case for Fulton, he is the champion and he really fought hard against Figueroa and survived and win that fight. And this fight is really going to define him whether he is really that good is somewhat this fight is going to be closed at least unlike the Butler fight wherein it was a complete domination by Inoue.
Whether he is a champion or not, Inoue does not care. He will always give his best to deliver an impressive outcome. What Fulton has to do is train hard and not chicken out once he feels the heavy punches of Inoue. It's sure to be very painful, but if he wants to have a chance, he needs to take it and give his own big shots as well.
