theres a service like coindesk that will allow you to send them BTC

What's the service called? Coindesk is a news site Smiley

Maybe coinbase?
2082  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: So I want to start an escrow service whats the best way to go about it? on: January 31, 2014, 01:09:56 PM
the best way to go about it is to be rich and popular

Getting rich doesn't boost your creditability directly. Wink
2083  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: mtgox question about error on: January 31, 2014, 01:08:14 PM
you have to put a zero before the decimal for anything smaller than 1BTC

Yeah, that was just said three posts ago. Thanks for repeating Smiley

Too bad, OP was last active in August.
He don't have enough patience to see the solution to his problem. Tongue
2084  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I`s Freebitcoinz.com paying out? [YES,YES and YES :D ] on: January 31, 2014, 01:06:40 PM
Well .. it is not better than otger faucets. But it looks ok.

In my opinion freebitco.in is better ..

And its much easier to make payout.

Why i have then got total of 0.01 BTC from this faucet and from freebitco.in only 0.004 BTC?

How much time did you take to accumulate that 0.01?

My refs accumulated that. Smiley
I haven't worked anything. Tongue

lol
How many ref do you have right now?
2085  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is Cex.io a scam? on: January 31, 2014, 12:45:16 PM
That sites a waste of time, any person has so many better options at this point.

But people still swarm to it. Why?

It is very heavily advertised on faucet and ptc sites, so probably attracts newbies.

And some users keep telling others "the site is easy to use", and ask them to register with referral links.  Wink
2086  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Paper wallet - spending a little - what is the risk? on: January 31, 2014, 12:43:18 PM
When you send bitcoin out of an address, the public key (not to confuse with private key) will be known to the world.
That's why, bitcoin-qt will always generate a new change address for your every transaction.
2087  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: configuring PPLNS target for a mining pool? on: January 31, 2014, 12:41:48 PM
cgminer --scrypt --url=stratum+tcp://stratum.mining-pool.eu:9000 --userpass=Weblogin.Worker:WorkerPassword --url=stratum+tcp://stratum-backup.mining-pool.eu:9000 --userpass=Weblogin.Worker:WorkerPassword --failover-only --intensity=12 --thread-concurrency=**

What?
OP is not asking about how to mine, but how to setup a dynamic PPLNS payment scheme.

I personally haven't used btc-e in the past, but after reading some many bad experience in this thread, I guess I should just stay away from it. Smiley

Don't know what 2FA is

FYI: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Two-step_verification

You could set up 2FA with google authenticator, to improve the security. Smiley

2094  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Soooo... what market should I be paying attention to with USD? on: January 31, 2014, 12:22:55 PM
Well, I only have the equipment because I built the computer a year ago as my first custom gaming build

I just started mining the past couple of days and only have .005 thus far

I hope you are not directly mining bitcoin with your gpu, as it will not inefficient.
With gpu, you should be mining scrypt-based altcoins, and selling them for bitcoin. Wink

how would i buy and sell to make profit looking at a LTC/BTC chart?
do i just have to wait until the price gets high enough for me to sell my LTC?

Simple Answer: To get profit, just buy low and sell high.

But there is no 100% successful strategy, and it is not easy to really predict the short-term price movement in future.
You can find a lot of info and different kind of predictions / strategies here.

That is pretty good.

Hey. I'm also a long time cryptocurrency investor (since 2010) and I really want to be allowed to post outside the newb garden!

Just wait a bit and show some activity as written in the newbie readme pinned in the begginers forum.

Sorry, but your info is completely out of date.

You can just go anywhere as you like and there is no need for you to stay here at all. Wink
2098  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Question for using bitcoin for business on: January 31, 2014, 12:07:06 PM

How can I add it to my website so clients can pay for services?

Also, how can I cash in my bitcoins for dollars once I receive them?

Use a payment processor like coinbase or bitpay, but check if they deal with adult services first. Bitpay automatically processes the Bitcoins into cash for you.

Exactly.
In that case, when people choose to pay with bitcoin, they will be given a bitcoin address owned by bitpay. People then send bitcoin to that address, and you will receive daily bank deposit from bitpay.

2099  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is Cex.io a scam? on: January 31, 2014, 12:02:03 PM
theres a cloud mining service like CEX.IO where you can make money

I highly doubt that.
Care to share the info?  Cheesy

Seriously, why don't the site use the hashrate to do mining for themselves then?
2100  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is Cex.io a scam? on: January 31, 2014, 12:00:20 PM
Their current price per GHS is .0339 BTC

If you plug that number, multiplied by the number of GHS you wish to purchase, into their mining profit calculator... the amount of profit over the following year NEVER reaches the amount you spent to get the GHS... and so you never recover your initial investment even if they had 0% maintenance fees.

Scam? NO.
But you are right, the price is extremely highly priced, and you can hardly get your investment back.
